The logistics industry in Incheon is lack of basic usage for logistic information. As development of logistics industry the companies recognized the importance of logistics informatization. But due to a small scale of logistic companies it is difficult to equip the basic infrastructure for logistics informatization. To investigate the status of informatization of logistics companies in Incheon, we divide questionnaire by the aspects of information operations, aspects of information needs, information effects and policy aspects of planning and support information. By the result of survey we suggest the supporting plan for Incheon logistics industry.

This study aims to investigate the relationship between cargo volume and logistics performance index published by World Bank which indicate countries' logistics performance. In this study, the results were derived through panel regression analysis consisting of variables such as gross domestic product, geographical distance, population, and LPI using container export/import volume and bulk export/import volume as dependent variables. As a result of the empirical analysis, it was found that Korea's container volume was affected by the overall level of logistics, in particular, was deeply related to the logistics infrastructure, while bulk volume was not related to the logistics level or was less influential.

Netherlands had suggested a uniform system to standardize and simplify EDI systems relating to the Arrival/Departure, stay, and clearance of ships, persons, and cargoes for the Facilitation of International Maritime Transport to the International Maritime Organization(IMO). Republic of Korea proposed the Framework of XML-based Single Window System for the simplified clearance of ships to the 32nd session of Facilitation Committee of the IMO. Accordingly the authors studied that the XML Infrastructure for Single Window efficiently supports the Single Window service and the business collaboration between business entities of logistics. The proposed XML Infrastructure designs to support the various document format translation and to easily manage. Therefore business entity using the proposed system has the effect of downing the resource and costs on using Single Window.

Global firms are seeking to implement their global logistics strategies in two ways: the use of centralized inventories and/or postponement of final assembly. These strategies stress the importance of regional logistics centers. In most cases, regional logistics centers are located in or near ports so that changing demands can be met with economy, reliability and flexibility, The port can profit not only from the activities of logistics center itself, but also the increasing flow of cargo through the logistics center. A number of ports respond to this trend by shifting their emphasis from traditional cargo-handling services to value-added services. This paper presents guidelines drawn from the best practices of ports to be successful logistics centers to provide many aspects of value-added logistics services. These include: Effective Planning and Development of Logistics Centers; Institutional Incentive Scheme; Development of Free Trade Zones; Financing Infrastructure related to Logistics Centers; Developing Logistics Service Providers and Logistics Professionals; Development of Information Technology; and Regulatory and Administrative Issues. These guidelines will help managers of ports and policy makers of governments in the East Asian region learn to recognize, analyze and adopt the best practices for use.

This paper focuses on the Japannese policies on infrastructure investment. Generally such issue is considered with respect to the three points: the body who is in charge of the development, maintemance and ownership of a particular infrastructure: financial resources required for investment: and the amount of charge imposed on users. These points are closely related to each other, and are essential for the effective supply of infrastructure. Therefore, this paper reviews the case in Japan and get some insight for solving the problem faced by Korea.

Logistics is one of the most important factors to manage a stream of materials in economic environment. Establishing effective logistics system needs to consider some constraints which are fluctuation of materials volume, a long distance between makers and consumers, one way logistics and small quantity batch production. It is estimated that Unit Load System should be a powerful method to cope with those problems. It helps to realize the key issues which are Standardization and Logistics Pool System The Material Unification of Logistics System is able to participate in all kinds of industries including manufacturing, distribution and logistics. This system has some merits which are a long distance transportation cost down, product recovery, and treatment in the unbalance of demand and supply caused by unstable materials volume. Four strategies of Material Logistics Model are Packing Rationalization, Logistics Pool System, JIT System application and establishing effective infrastructure. The Material Unification Of Logistics System based on Unit Load System achieves efficiency of logistics and largely decreases moving cost.

The purpose of this study is to explore the concept of a logistics hub, identify key factors and milestones for its development, and give some recommendations and implications to developing countries. For this the countries competing to be Logistics hub in Northeast Asia (NEA), such as South Korea, japan and China, are taken into consideration These countries have under its priority policies the development of a logistics hub vision to become the central area of the region achieving microeconomic and macroeconomic prosperity. Based on the review of the relevant literature, five factors came up as key determinants for the development of a hub project: 1. Logistics services support and infrastructure. 2. Business environment. 3. Economic determinants. 4. Political support and 5. Access to international markets. These are going to be analyzed together with its different variables, using statistical methods.

Recently, the role of container ports is radically changing. These changes are largely driven by the innovation process of Logistics such as Supply Chain Logistics and Global Logistics due to the international expansion of industry. Under this environment, It is required that the container port should act as a integral part of a Supply Logistics Chain especially to provide the customer-oriented logistics service. This paper deals with the development strategy of container ports coping with these changes in the view point of container ports as a Logistics infrastructure to provide customer-response services and necessary to the economic promotion of hinterlands. Strategy is suggested in the phases of the customers desire, the pattern of container cargo, the economic promotion of hinterlands, and interrelation of container ports in north-east Asia and also domestics through the analysis of competiveness of container ports.

중국의 물류시장의 확대에 따라 많은 한국 물류기업들이 중국에 진출하고 있으나 글로벌 물류기업과의 경쟁에는 한계를 보이고 있다. 특히 국내의 중소형물류기업들은 중국시장으로의 진출에 많은 애로사항을 겪고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 우리나라 중소형물류기업들의 중국진출 활성화 방안을 과거의 선행연구를 근거로 지각된 요인들과 중국진출 활성화의 필요성과 중요성에 대한 상관관계를 분석하여 활성화 방안으로 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 설문분석을 실시하고, 탐색적 요인분석과 신뢰도분석 및 상관관계 분석을 시행하였다. 연구의 결과, 중국진출을 활성화하기 위한 여러 가지 요인들 중에서 중소물류기업들이 가장 우선해야 할 과제로는 주요 물류거점에 대한 물류인프라의 확보가 선행되어야 하며 동시에 현지의 관계문화에 대한 이해와 활용에 대한 지식이 필요한 것으로 분석되었다.

Recently, the number of consumers using digital online distribution platforms is increasing. This caused the rapid growth of the e-commerce market and increased delivery volume in urban areas. The logistics system, designed ar006Fund the city center to handle the delivery volume, operates a delivery system from the outskirts of the city to the urban area using cargo trucks. This maintains an ecosystem of high-cost and inefficient structures that increase social costs such as road traffic congestion and environmental problems. To solve this problem, research is being conducted worldwide to establish a high-efficiency urban joint logistics system using urban railway facilities and underground space infrastructure existing in existing cities. The joint logistics system begins with linking unmanned delivery automation services that link terminal delivery such as cargo classification and stacking, infrastructure construction that performs cargo transfer function by separating from passengers such as using cargo platform. To this end, it is necessary to apply the device to the vertical and horizontal transportation machine supporting the vertical transfer in the flat space of the joint logistics terminal, which is the base technology for transporting cargo using the transfer robot to the destination designated as a freight-only urban railway vehicle. Therefore, this paper aims to derive holistic viewpoints needs for design requirements for vertical and vertical transportation machines and freight transportation standard containers, which are underground railway logistics transport devices to be constructed by urban logistics ecosystem changes.
