Purpose - The purpose of the paper is to look into and review the management and operation of Chinese infrastructure process, especially focusing on port industry. Research design, data and methodology - The research methods to be applied is to examine PPPs that is a key way of cooperation in many infrastructure investment, financial matters, and then port industry as well. Results - It is well noticed that Chinese government has well managed with project, planning and investments in national infrastructure matters. Especially, this is clear message that government institutions for infrastructure planning has been well organized with systematic structure. However, even if it is involved with some risky business, PPPs should be asked for cooperation in the areas of financial, institutional and logistic part of infrastructure development in China. Conclusions - Every country has been in promoting its infrastructure development and it is not an exception in China. In order to get over inefficiency done by public sectors, Chinese government has invited a private sector in the form of PPPs, which gives more competitive opportunities, especially in port industry.

The purposes of this paper are applying the IDEF(Integrated DEFinition), which was selected for standard methodology of CALS(Computer-aided Acquisition and Logistic Support) process modeling, to the acquisition process of the weapon system to activate DEfense CALS of the acquisition and management business of weapon system on Defense Planning and Management System and developing a AS-IS model which is usable and that the analysis of process problems results in. On this paper, We diagrammed the function of the acquisition and management of weapon system by using IDEF0 and presented AS-IS model. This paper focused on the development of AS-IS model which can put to practical use to find the problems of current acquisition and management process of weapon system and the embodiment of national defense CALS system. So more detailed analysis of current system and additional studies about TO-BE model would be the future research area.

Obligor defaults are cross-sectionally correlated as obligors share common economic conditions; in addition obligors are longitudinally correlated so that an economic shock like the IMF crisis in 1998 lasts for a period of time. A longitudinal correlation should be used to construct statistical scenarios of stress test with which we replace a type of artificial scenario that the banks have used. We propose a Bayesian model to accommodate such correlation structures. Using 402 obligors to a domestic bank in Korea, our model with a dynamic correlation is compared to a Bayesian model with a stationary longitudinal correlation and the classical logistic regression model. Our model generates statistical financial statement under a stress situation on individual obligor basis so that the genearted financial statement produces a similar distribution of credit grades to when the IMF crisis occurred and complies with Basel IV (Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, 2017) requirement that the credit grades under a stress situation are not sensitive to the business cycle.

In this regard, the newly focused logistics information system makes reducing the expenses of whole logistic available by cutting down the expenses of materials, transportation and stock and also, it allows the company to cut down the procurement expense through the reduced lead-time and rationalize producing plans by eliminating the uncertain orders and fluctuation in procurement. It further more optimizes the efficiency of over all productions by meeting the dead line for delivery to the customers. In the recent environment of globalization where fierce competitions exist between manufacturers, logistics plays important role in the strategies of companies, and managements of companies try their best efforts in establishing the strategy to accomplish the innovative relationship between supply chain channels. Therefore, in this study, we try to suggest the model of consolidated logistics system that is integrated logistics information system with suggesting the better way of logistics and comparative analysis with logistics system to resolve the difficulties numbers of companies face after realizing what logistics information system is in Korea.

Through the study, this research suggests main issues of building and operating logistic systems and the effective way of utilizing the systems in SMB logistics companies.

This study analyzes college dropout cases to reduce its rate. The analysis is preferentially carried out by figuring out our current situation of college dropout rate in pertinent cases and all around country's. Based on the current states, statistical analysis is accomplished as follows; analyzing the characteristic differences between the being in school's and the dropouts' by T-Test, determining the influence factor by logistic regression analysis and drawing the target group for special treatments through these statistical analysis. To reduce dropout rate, several measures could be adopted; focused counseling for each target group, special monitoring for students on leave of absence and opening major subjects for improving relationship between students and professors. The measures suggested by the analysis through this study are expected to lower the dropout rates effectively in college or specific fields including engineering science.

Weekly minima of daily log returns of Korean composite stock price index 200 and its five industry-based business divisions over the period from January 1990 to December 2005 are fitted using two block-based extreme distributions: Generalized Extreme Value(GEV) and Generalized Logistic(GLO). Parameters are estimated using the probability weighted moments. Applicability of two distributions is investigated using the Monte Carlo simulation based empirical p-values of Anderson Darling test. Our empirical results indicate that both the GLO and GEV models seem to be comparably applicable to the weekly minima. These findings are against the evidences in Gettinby et al.[7], who claimed that the GEV model was not valid in many cases, and supported the significant superiority of the GLO model.

This paper proposes a data mining approach to predicting stock price direction. Stock market fluctuates due to many factors. Therefore, predicting stock price direction has become an important issue in the field of stock market analysis. However, in literature, there are few studies applying data mining approaches to predicting the stock price direction. To contribute to literature, this paper proposes comparing single classifiers and ensemble classifiers. Single classifiers include logistic regression, decision tree, neural network, and support vector machine. Ensemble classifiers we consider are adaboost, random forest, bagging, stacking, and vote. For the sake of experiments, we garnered dataset from Korea Stock Exchange (KRX) ranging from 2008 to 2015. Data mining experiments using WEKA revealed that random forest, one of ensemble classifiers, shows best results in terms of metrics such as AUC (area under the ROC curve) and accuracy.

This study is performed the multinomial logistic regression with the officials needs level about a component of knowledge administration for drawing a demand estimation model in the knowledge administration activities. This study is not that an activity and domain of knowledge administration is to apply and to operate uniformly it in public sector, one is suggested an application with a demand diagnose of knowledge administration in order to saw a course of the knowledge administration programs to suit a function and role of public administration. A result of this study is that an activity and domain of the knowledge administration is different from a component of it namely, knowledge creating, knowledge organizing, knowledge sharing and distribution, knowledge utility, and knowledge store. And the officials individual characteristics, administration agency, a kind of business, and a function and role of work are different from demand of knowledge administration. Also, the practical use of KMS (knowledge management system) is not so high in public sector. Accordingly, the tools of knowledge administration will deliberate on a consolidation with the existing system in the device.
