This article investigates the topology control problem in the space information network (SIN) using a hierarchical autonomous system (AS) approach. We propose an AS network topology control (AS-TC) algorithm to minimize the time delay in the SIN. Compared with most existing approaches for SIN where either the purely centralized or the purely distributed control method is adopted, the proposed algorithm is a hybrid control method. In order to reduce the cost of control, the control message exchange is constrained among neighboring sub-AS networks. We prove that the proposed algorithm achieve logical k-connectivity on the condition that the original physical topology is k-connectivity. Simulation results validate the theoretic analysis and effectiveness of the AS-TC algorithm.
Wireless network information services allow end systems to discover heterogeneous networks and spectrum available for secondary use at or near their current location, helping them to cope with increasing traffic and finite spectrum resources. We propose a unified architecture that allows end systems to find nearby base stations that are using either licensed, shared or unlicensed spectrum across multiple network operators. Our study evaluates the performance and scalability of spatial databases storing base station coverage area geometries. The measurement results indicate that the current spatial databases perform well even when the number of coverage areas is very large. A single logical spatial database would likely be able to satisfy the query load for a large national cellular network. We also observe that coarse geographic divisions can significantly improve query performance.

Uncertainty of result of context awareness always exists in any context-awareness computing. This falling-off in accuracy of context awareness result is mostly caused by the imperfectness and incompleteness of sensed data, because of this reasons, we must improve the accuracy of context awareness. In this article, we propose a novel approach to model the uncertain context by using ontology and context reasoning method based on Bayesian Network. Our context aware processing is divided into two parts; context modeling and context reasoning. The context modeling is based on ontology for facilitating knowledge reuse and sharing. The ontology facilitates the share and reuse of information over similar domains of not only the logical knowledge but also the uncertain knowledge. Also the ontology can be used to structure learning for Bayesian network. The context reasoning is based on Bayesian Networks for probabilistic inference to solve the uncertain reasoning in context-aware processing problem in a flexible and adaptive situation.
In this paper, an on-chip learning pulse-mode digital neural network with a massively parallel yet compact and flexible network architecture is suggested. Algebraic neural operations are replaced by stochastic processes using pseudo-random sequences and simple logic gates are used as basic computing elements. Using Back-propagation algorithm both feed-forward and learning phases are efficiently implemented with simple logical gates. RNG architecture using LFSR and barrel shifter are adopted to avoid some correlation between pulse trains. Suggested network is designed in digital circuit and its performance is verified by computer simulation.

The intelligent home network system integrates various devices in the home into one communication network to provide information sharing, control, and operation environment between devices. This intelligent home network system operates around a home server. Home appliances in the era of the 4th industrial revolution will have numerous home servers in logical areas as the intelligent home network in the home accelerates. Therefore, the need for systematic management of home servers is emerging. We propose an agent system for efficient intelligent smart home server management. The agent system monitors the home server and operating environment for home server management of the intelligent smart home network. By referring to this monitored information, the service module of the home server is managed, and the home server is dealt with whether it is normal or not. In addition, by referring to the information collected by the service agent created in the group management server while migrating the home server, it is possible to deal with integrated meter reading, crime prevention, and topics. And when a new service is applied to the home server, it is registered in the management server and distributed to the home server through the agent, so that the intelligent smart home network can be efficiently managed.

Increased network reliability is required as the size of communication network becomes larger and the bandwidth requirement is increasing. And preparing of backup path is required to protect the network from serious network failures in high speed network. In this paper, we construct multiple logical networks on a physical ATM network according to the ATM bearer service category(CBR, rt-VBR, nrt-VBR, ABR, UBR) defined by ATM Forum to support the required QoS(Quality of Service) and to manage the network more efficiently. We use backup path restoration algorithm rather than dynamic restoration to achieve rapid restoration when active path fails and we use fault management function in TINA. We propose a restoration scheme that is suitable for high-speed network.
Automatic discovery of physical topology plays a crucial role in enhancing the manageability of modern metro Ethernet networks. Despite the importance of the problem, earlier research and commercial network management tools have typically concentrated on either discovering logical topology, or proprietary solutions targeting specific product families. Recent works have demonstrated that network topology can be determined using the standard simple network management protocol (SNMP) management information base (MIB), but these algorithms depend on address forwarding table (AFT) entries and can find only spanning tree paths in an Ethernet mesh network. A previous work by Breibart et al. requires that AFT entries be complete; however, that can be a risky assumption in a realistic Ethernet mesh network. In this paper, we have proposed a new physical topology discovery algorithm which works without complete knowledge of AFT entries. Our algorithm can discover a complete physical topology including inactive interfaces eliminated by the spanning tree protocol in metro Ethernet networks. The effectiveness of the algorithm is demonstrated by implementation.

For the resolution of the latency problem of the cloud center-based cloud computing, fog computing was proposed that allows end devices to offload computations to nearby fog nodes. In the fog computing, virtualized service images are placed on fog nodes and, if service images are placed close to end devices, the duplicate service image placement problem may occur. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a service image placement mechanism based on the logical fog network that reduces duplicate service images by considering the pattern of collected service requests. For the performance evaluation of the proposed mechanism, through simulations, we compare ours with the on-demand mechanism placing a service image upon the receipt of a service request. We consider the performance factors like the number of service images, the number of non-accommodated service requests, and the network cost.
This paper deals with essentially secure group management and key transfer methods in a wireless sensor network environment. To provide an efficient security service to a widespread network with a large number of sensor nodes, the network has to be made up by several security groups, and Group Key distribution and group management are needed. In this paper we propose a mechanism for efficiently constructing and managing a security node by constructing a group using an algorithm to construct a logical group. Previous Group Key Transport method has special condition. When Base Station transports Group Key, all sensor nodes must share Secret Key with Base Station before it is intended to be deployed. Hence, we also propose a Key transport mechanism without sharing Secret Key between Base Station and sensor node.
Recently, the threat to the security and damage of important data leaked by devices of intranet infected by malicious code through the Internet have been increasing. Therefore, the partitioned intranet model that blocks access to the server for business use by implementing authentication of devices connected to the intranet is required. For this, logical net partition with the VDI(Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) method is no information exchange between physical devices connected to the intranet and the virtual device so that it could prevent data leakage and improve security but it is vulnerable to the attack to expose internal data, which has access to the server for business connecting a nonregistered device into the intranet. In order to protect the server for business, we suggest a blockchain based network partition model applying blockchain technology to VDI. It contributes to decrease in threat to expose internal data by improving not only capability to verify forgery of devices, which is the vulnerability of the VDI based logical net partition, but also the integrity of the devices.
