  • LBS services is a user-centric location based information service, where its importance has been discussed as an essential engine in an Ubiquitous Age. We aimed to develop an ontology reasoning system that enables users to derive recommended results suitable through selection standard reasoning according to various users' preferences. In order to achieve this goal, we designed the Geo-ontology system which enabled the construction of personal characteristics of users, knowledge on personal preference and knowledge on spatial and geographical preference. We also integrated a function of reasoning relevant information through the construction of Cost Value ontology using multi-criteria decision making by giving weight according to users' preference.

A questionnaire was used to find attitudes/preferences about EAL was adapted from the results of the review about communal housing in the UK. The survey was undertaken from September to October, 2000 in Seoul, Korea. Data was collected from 413 subjects and analysed using various statistical techniques. From the results, location should be differentiated into urban type and suburban type. The urban type would prefer around 5 stories multi-family house style with elevator and suburban type would prefer single detached house style with shared garde. The most preferred characteristics found by factor analysis were factor I named as communal facilities and environment(the items belong to factor I was neighbour environment, communal spaces and facilities, heating system, and elevator). The most important advantages of EAL were social activities and convenience. The most salient disadvantages of EAL were difficulty of family contact. The higher the occupational status and income, the lower the preference for the characteristics of EAL with a preference for finding appropriate living arrangements in present housing market. But the higher the educational level, the higher the degree of preference for the characteristics of EAL.

The major findings were as follows: 1) Subjects needed the diverse leisure facilities such as sports center and resident's self government facilities. And they needed diverse facilities for sports. 2) In terms of location, they needed leisure facilities which was closer to their house. 3) The degree of satisfaction of leisure facilities was lower than neutral. • With the development of technology, many changes have emerged in how consumers acquire information without restrictions on their location and time. As changes and interest in digital platforms increase, beauty industry applications are being developed in order to attract customers. Therefore, this study has provided the empirical data necessary for the development and advancement of beauty applications in the future by analyzing preferences for makeup applications according to age. The method of this study involved searching for makeup applications that had been downloaded more than 100 million times through the Google Play Store between October 11, 2020 to November 3, 2020. Four applications were identified: YouCma Makeup, YouCam Perfect, Beauty Plus, and Sweet Snap. The surveyed functions were tested on 100 people in their teens, 20s, 30s, and 40s, with a similar profile of 100 people in their teens, 20s, 30s, and 40s surveyed from January 3, 2022 to April 23, 2022. The functional preferences of the application were investigated, and the results were analyzed through frequency analysis. The results are as follows: the application that received the greatest preference for features by age was YCM, which was found to have subdivided functions that provide users a wider range of choices and more detailed work when compared to other applications which enable photo retouching.

  • As China has the largest number of elderly people in the world, the issue of the aged people has been a serious matter of concern in Chinese government and society and many studies have been done so far. However, the studies about the dwellings of the aged people that support their basic life are still insufficient. For this reason this study intends to identify the differences in elderly people's preferences according to their situations in aged life. This study surveyed 152 elderly residents aged 50 and over including early aged people in Beijing China about their residential preferences (types of residence, location of residence, size of residence, types of ownership) according to the four types of their situations in aged life, healthy couple, sick couple, healthy single and sick single. The survey conducted from 2013 April 10th to 15th. The results were as follows: Firstly, as the elderly situation became worse, preference for the independent residence decreased very rapidly while the preference for the elderly welfare facilities dramatically increased from the 0 point of the healthy couple and the preference for the elderly welfare facilities marked the highest point in case of the worst situation of sick single. Secondly, among the four different situations preferences for the urban residence were the highest and as the aged people's situation becomes worse, their preferences for urban life increased. Thirdly, healthy couple preferred a large size residence but as their elderly situation becomes worse, their preferences for the large size decreased and their preferences for small size increased dramatically, and in case of elderly singles, preferences for small size residence exceeded their preferences for large size residence. Fourthly, as elderly situation became worse preference for owning residence decreased and preference for rental residence increased and in case of the worst situation of sick single, preference for rental residence was higher than their preferences for their own residence. With this view of point, the residential preference of elderly people changes along with their aging situations. Thus, the government should consider the variable aging market, and develop a variety of aging residence which, can satisfy the different groups of elderly.

  • We use the properties of competitive location equilibrium to study the relationship between the demand for education and the choice of primary residential location. Consumers can work and live in a comparatively high wage place where there are few education opportunities, or live in a place where education is available and commute to work. If education and employment are each location-specific, there are pooling equilibria in which consumers locate according to their preference for education. In general, the stronger the taste for education, the greater the attraction of living close to the education site and the lower the demand for other goods, including housing. Exploring the effects of the model parameters on the spatial distribution of consumers, we find that a higher frequency of trips taken to the education site, a shorter distance between the work place and the education site, or a greater out-of-pocket education cost each leads to a wider range of consumer types selecting to reside at the education location. We also find that a higher wage lowers the range of consumers who select to live near the education site.

  • In this paper we introduce a design and implementation of an agent for multimedia retrieval and personalized broadcasting service. It is compliant with TV Anytime Forum specifications and supports searching location resolving, storing and streaming of remote multimedia contents. For this service, we implemented a contents server, a 메타데이터 database server, a location resolution server and a client terminal is implemented The Client terminal gathers content information by SOAP of operation, and it has a user preference module and usage history module that make user information. The personalize service agent recommends suitable contents to user by similarity algorithm.

  • Recently the landscape of housing has been emphasized. This trend seems to reflect the negative aspects of housing landscape in urban area. Throughout the analysis on the various visual density index, the following findings were obtained; 1) Elevation blockage ratio(EBR) was permitted differently according to the types of housing blocks, and the preference of block layout was different to the location of site. 2) EBR regulation level was acceptable. But 40m level of general area should be stepped up to the 35m level. 3) The correlation between the floor area ratio(FAR) and the EBR was not high. Therefore it is reasonable to regulate the EBR to the location. 4) Elevation coverage ratio(ECR) was highly correlated with the FAR. It means that FAR can substitute for the ECR, and ECR should be regulated to the level of FAR.
