위치기반서비스는 위치정보를 기반으로 하는 다양하고 광범위한 서비스를 의미한다. 이러한 위치기반 서비스들은 개인 위치정보 보호를 위하여 위치정보보호법에 의한 규제를 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 위치정보보호법에 의한 위치정보의 형태와 의미를 살펴보고, 위치정보 흐름을 분석하여 그 사용방법 및 한계에 대하여 살펴보도록 한다. 이를 바탕으로 위치정보가 다양한 분야의 서비스 개발 등에 활용되어 보다 광범위하게 활용되었으면 한다.

이 논문은 위치정보 등급제를 시행하기 위한 정책적인 모델을 제시하고 있다. 위치정보 등급제는 위치정보의 품질에 대한 기준을 제시하고, 이를 기반으로 위치정보사업자가 제공 위치정보의 등급을 명시하는 것을 의미한다. 구체적인 항목과 범위를 정하여 세분화된 등급을 서비스의 이용약관에 명시하게 함으로써, 이용자가 직접 이용하고자 하는 정보의 질을 파악하여 서비스 이용자의 선택권을 강화시킬 수 있으며, 위치정보사업과 위치기반서비스의 제공에 있어 안정성 및 신뢰성을 뒷받침하는 정책이 될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 위치정보 등급의 기본 모델과 정책적 등급 구분 방안을 제시하며, 등급제의 실제적인 적용방안을 기술하고 있다. 최근 국내에서 위치정보법이 제정되어 위치정보관련 산업이 활성화될 것으로 예상된다. 이러한 상황에서 제안된 위치정보 등급제는 개인위치정보의 효과적인 보호와 위치기반서비스 사업의 신뢰성을 높일 수 있는 유효한 수단 중 하나로서 큰 의미를 갖을 것으로 예상된다.

위치기반서비스의 활성화를 위해서는 개인위치정보에 대한 보호와 공익적 활용의 보장이 필수적이다. 이를 위해서는 위치정보에 대한 등급지정을 하는 것이 필요하다. 위치정보 등급지정이란 위치기반서비스별로 적합한 위치정보품질을 적용시키는 것으로서 위치정보의 이용약관에 등급을 명시해줌으로써 위치정보의 신뢰성을 높이고 이용자의 선택권을 강화시킬 수 있는 제도이다. 향후 높은 수요가 예상되는 위치기반서비스 산업의 지속적인 성장을 위해서 위치정보 등급(지정) 제도의 도입이 시급히 요구된다.

위치정보란 특정한 물건이나 개인이 특정한 시점에 존재하거나 존재하였던 장소에 관한 정보이다. 스마트폰이 대중화되면서 위치정보는 단순히 장소에 관한 정보를 넘어서 개인의 위치정보를 이용한 서비스가 대세를 이루고 있다. 그러나, 개인정보의 유출로 야기되는 문제는 금전적 경제적 손실을 넘어서 개인의 이동경로 혹은 개인의 위치를 직접적으로 확인할 수 있는 정보이기 때문에 개인의 신상에 영향을 미칠 수도 있다. 개인위치정보의 관리를 위한 위치기반 서비스들을 통제할 수 있는 가이드 등이 부족한 현실이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 개인의 위치정보 침해 및 유 노출을 사전에 통제하기 위해 정보시스템 분석 설계 운영 단계에서 개인위치정보에 감리를 수행할 때, 사법처리기준, 재무손실등급, 개인위치정보 중요도, 점검항목의 중요도가 포함된 점검항목을 제안하였으며, 전문가들의 설문 조사를 통하여 제안한 점검항목에 대한 적합성을 검증하였다.

The types of service using location Information are being various and extending it's domain as wireless internet technology is developing and it's application part is widespread, so it is prospected that LBS (Location-Based Services) will be killer application in wireless internet services. This location information is basic and high value-added information, and this information services make prior GIS (Geography Information System) to be useful to anybody. The acquisition of this location information from moving object is very important part for these LBS. After this, when LBS is familiar to everybody, we can predict that LBS system load is so heavy for the acquisition of so many subscribers and vehicles. Moving object database (MODB) system manages objects like subscribes and vehicles that are moving and have telecommunication terminal checked one's location. MODB is consists of 4 part, moving object location acquisition part, moving object location storage part, moving object query processing part, and moving object application p art. In this MODB system, acquisition of moving object location part must provide guarantee location information as well as reduce telecommunication overhead. In this paper, we study of problems in acquisition a huge number o f moving objects location and design some acquisition strategies to reduce telecommunication overhead. And after implementation these strategies, we estimate performance of this system and quality of information.

Owing to the change of economic trends, the importance of the tourism industry is growing more and more. In particular, the number of foreign tourists continues to increase and the type of tourists is being changed into FIT (Foreign Independent Traveler). Therefore it is an important issue to provide the effective information to foreign tourists. To solve these problems, a variety of IT technology is being used in the tourism information systems. Especially the location based tour information service is being emerged. This kinds of tourism information service is a type of LBS (Location Based Services). But if the security of the location based tourism information service is not guaranteed, it can lead to many dangers. In this paper, the trends of location based tourism information service are surveyed. Also the security threats and countermeasures for the location based tourism information service are analyzed. This paper suggests secret considerations for the location based tourism information service.

The location-based service is one of the most powerful services in the mobile area. The location-based service provides information service for moving user's location information and information service using wire / wireless communication. In this paper, we propose a model for personalized recommendation system which includes location information and personalized recommendation system for location-based service. For this service system, we consider mobile clients that have a limited resource and low bandwidth. Because it is difficult to input the words at mobile device, we must deliberate it when we design the interface of system. We design and implement the personalized recommendation system for location-based services(advertisement, discount news, and event information) that support user's needs and location information. As a result, it can be used to design the other location-based service systems related to user's location information in mobile environment. In this case, we need to establish formal definition of moving objects and their temporal pattern.

GIS와 정보통신기술과 연계된 위치기반서비스는 개인의 위치정보를 측정하고 이용한다. 위치정보는 특정된 개인의 현재 위치와 그 위치를 통한 개인의 행동 등을 추정할 수 있는 정보로서 프라이버시 침해 가능성이 매우 높은 정보이므로 강력한 보호 제도가 필요하다. 이러한 배경에서 정보통신부가 추진하고 있는 위치정보보호법안은 개인정보 보호와 위치기반서비스 사업 활성화라는 상충되는 두 가지 목적에 대한 합의점을 제대로 찾지 못하고 있어 실질적인 개인정보 보호 대책으로 부족하며 지속적 보완이 필요하다. 본 연구는 효과적인 지리정보의 유통과 활용의 관점에서 개인의 위치정보 보호 문제를 고찰하고 합리적인 대안을 모색하였다.

Recently, owing to performance elevation of telecommunication technology, increase of wireless internet's subscriber and diffusion of wireless device, Interest about LBS (Location Based Service) which take advantage of user's location information and can receive information in concerning with user's location is increasing rapidly. So, MOMS (Moving Object Management System) that manage user's location information is required compulsorily to provide location base service. LBS of childhood such as service to find a friend need only current location, but to provide high-quality service in connection with Data Mining, CRM, We must be able to manage location information of past. In this paper, we design distributed manage system to insert and search Moving Object in a large amount. It has been consisted of CLIM (Current Location Information Manager), PLIM (Past-Location Information Manager) and BLIM (Distributed Location Information Manager). CLIM and PLIM prove performance of searching data by using spatiotemporal-index. DLIM distribute an enormous amount of location data to various database. Thus it keeps load-balance, regulates overload and manage a huge number of location information efficiently.

Recently, spread of large amount Smartphones made users to download location-based service applications, which provided by application developers. These location-based service applications are convenient tool for users. Location-based service use technology to find location of user and provide information of user's location. Leakage of information of user's location and expose of privacy life raised new controversy. In this thesis, it will analyze relations of increase of Smartphone market, usage of Location-based service and severity of personal information leakage. Also, it will analyze examples of user's case of damage which caused by leakage personal information and find solutions to reduce damage of personal information leakage. In research, it will find cases of damage that cause by Location-based service. Also it will analyze and research cases of damage and present with graph and chart. In conclusion, to reduce and prevent from damage which caused by leakage personal information, it is important that users and application developers to realize danger of private and personal information leakage. Also, user's personal information must deal with cautiously and application developers have to research and develop the application with powerful security.
