Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of sign language video location in e-learning system for the hearing-impaired. Background: E-learning education is a good way to resolve the inequality of education for the disabled. Providing a sign language video in e-learning education for the hearing-impaired is very important for their learning. Although the location of sign language video is an important factor in the design of the video, the effect of its location in learning using the e-learning system was not studied. Method: In order to identify the effect of sign language video location on the learning of the hearing-impaired using the e-learning system, the prototypes of the system with different locations were developed. Eighteen people with hearing impairment participated in this experiment. Learning presence, learning immersion, and learning satisfaction were used to measure learning effects with sign language video location. Results: Bottom right position was more preferred through preference evaluation for sign language video location. The learning effect with sign language video location (bottom-left and bottom-right) was not significant. That is, the effects of learning presence, immersion, and satisfaction were not statistically significant with video location. Conclusion: From this study, the following have to be considered in e-learning system design for the hearing-impaired. Although the location of a sign language video is not a significant factor from the experiment, the bottom right position in the design is proposed because learning presence and satisfaction is slightly higher at the bottom right position, and the position is preferred from subjective evaluation. From the analysis of interview data, it was also proposed that the design of a sign language video should be improved for the hearing-impaired. Application: The result of this study can be applied to the e-learning system design for the hearing-impaired.

The fault analysis problem of a distribution network has many difficulties comes from the unbalance of loads or networks and the lacks of load information. The unbalance of loads or networks make the fault location difficult when it use the classical sequence transformation. Moreover the amount of load in the distribution networks fluctuates with time. This paper introduces a recent fault location algorithm using iterative method which handle the unbalance of the problem. But, the fault location errors comes from the load fluctuations still left. For the real application of the new fault location algorithm in distribution networks, this paper studied the effect of the load fluctuations in the algorithm.
Purpose - Although an extensive body of research in psychology and marketing focuses on perceived waiting time, no research has examined the effect of the location of the waiting place on perceived waiting time. In particular, this study suggests that customers who are waiting in a restaurant may have different perceived waiting time depending on whether they are in close proximity to the service area (e.g., dining area) or farther from it. In particular, the author examines how and why the location of the waiting place affects the perceived waiting time of the consumer and reveals the mental simulation as its psychological mechanism. Research design, data, and methodology - This study conducted field surveys with customers waiting in real restaurants. Eighty-eight people participated under two conditions: a restaurant with a waiting place near the dining area and a restaurant with a waiting place far from the dining area. Participants responded to questions about perceived waiting time (the dependent variable), mental simulation (the mediator), and demographic variables. To verify the hypothesis, ANOVA and bootstrapping analysis were performed. Results - The major results from the field study are as follows. First, participants perceived wait time differently depending on the location of the restaurant's waiting place: participants in the restaurant with a waiting place close to the dining area perceived significantly shorter waiting times. Second, the effect of the location of the waiting place on the perceived waiting time was mediated by mental simulation: the closer the wait location is to the dining area, the more imagination the customer exercises about the meal, which in turn distracts attention from time flow and shortens the perceived wait time. Conclusion - This study has a theoretical implication in that it extends research on perceived waiting time as the first study of how and why the location of a waiting place affects a customer's perceived waiting time. It has a practical implication that can be used as a marketing tactics to improve the image of the service provider by changing the location of the waiting place.

This study aims to examine how experiential marketing and location influence customer loyalty mediated by customer satisfaction. This study's population was Cafe Excelso Rinjani customers in Semarang, Indonesia. The sampling employed a purposive sampling technique, with the following criteria: customers who visited and enjoyed Cafe Excelso Rinjani and aged more than 17 years. Data analysis used multiple regression analysis, and a single test was utilized to test for mediation. The results revealed that experiential marketing positively and significantly affected customers satisfaction. It showed that the better the experiential marketing was done, the more customer satisfaction would be. Location positively and significantly influenced customer satisfaction. It indicated that the more strategic the location, the more customer satisfaction increased. Meanwhile, experiential marketing had no impact on customer loyalty. Location positively and significantly affected customer loyalty at Cafe Excelso Rinjani Semarang. It denoted that the more strategic the location, the more customer loyalty increased. Besides, customer satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. It signified that, when customer satisfaction increased, customer loyalty would increase. Finally, customer satisfaction perfectly mediated the influence of experiential marketing on customer loyalty, and customer satisfaction mediated the effect of location on customer loyalty.
The purpose of the present research was to examine whether the attention mechanism employs physical or represented location of the cue and target. To achieve this, we have employed the paradigm of facilitation of response as well as inhibition of return. In the experiments, valid and invalid conditions were defined by the position consistency of the cue and the target in the aspect of either physical or represented location. We used auditory cue and visual target in Experiment 1 while visual cue and auditory target in Experiment 2. As a results, in Experiment 1, effect of facilitation of response in valid condition was found when the valid/invalid conditions were defined in the aspect of represented location. In Experiment 2, effect of facilitation of response in valid condition was found when the valid/invalid conditions were defined in the aspect of represented location. In all the other conditions, no effect was found when the conditions were defined in the aspect of physical location. No effects of inhibition of return were found in Experiment 2. These results imply the possibility that attention mechanism operates based on objects' represented location rather than on their physical location. More importantly, the present research suggests that it is necessary to separate represented location from physical location of the target and the cue in the experiment of facilitation of response and inhibition of return in the future.
The reason location based service is drawing attention recently is because smart phones are being supplied increasingly. Smart phone, basically equipped with GPS that can identify location information, has the advantage that it can provide contents and services suitable for the user by identifying user location accurately. Offering such diverse advantages, location based services are increasingly used. In addition, for use of location based services, release of user's personal information and location data is essentially required. Regarding personal information and location data, in addition to IT companies, general companies also are conducting various profitable businesses and sales activities based on personal information, and in particular, personal location data, comprehending high value of use among personal information, are drawing high attentions. Increase in demand of personal information is raising the risk of personal information infringement, and infringements of personal location data also are increasing in frequency and degree. Therefore, infringements of personal information should be minimized through user's action and efforts to reinforce security along with Act on the Protection of Personal Information and Act on the Protection of Location Information. This study aimed to improve the importance of personal information privacy by empirically analyzing the effect of perceived values on the intention to strengthen location information security and continuously use location information for users who received location-based services (LBS) in mobile environments with the privacy calculation model of benefits and risks as a theoretical background. This study regarded situation-based provision, the benefit which users perceived while using location-based services, and the risk related to personal location information, a risk which occurs while using services, as independent variables and investigated the perceived values of the two variables. It also examined whether there were efforts to reduce risks related to personal location information according to the values of location- based services, which consumers perceived through the intention to strengthen security. Furthermore, it presented a study model which intended to investigate the effect of perceived values and intention of strengthening security on the continuous use of location-based services. A survey was conducted for three hundred ten users who had received location-based services via their smartphones to verify study hypotheses. Three hundred four questionnaires except problematic ones were collected. The hypotheses were verified, using a statistical method and a logical basis was presented. An empirical analysis was made on the data collected through the survey with SPSS 12.0 and SmartPLS 2.0 to verify respondents' demographic characteristics, an exploratory factor analysis and the appropriateness of the study model. As a result, it was shown that the users who had received location-based services were significantly influenced by the perceived value of their benefits, but risk related to location information did not have an effect on consumers' perceived values. Even though users perceived the risk related to personal location information while using services, it was viewed that users' perceived value had nothing to do with the use of location-based services. However, it was shown that users significantly responded to the intention of strengthening security in relation to location information risks and tended to use services continuously, strengthening positive efforts for security when their perceived values were high.
In this study, the variation of spark plug location in the combustion chamber was investigated for the sake of emission characteristics from SI engine by using PDA valve. The swirl is ong of the important parameters that effects emission characteristics. PDA valve has been used to satisfy the requirements of sufficient swirl generation to improve combustion and emission reduction to effect on flow profile on a combustion chamber. Especially, the variation of spark plug location have an important effect to analyze exhaust gas and the early flame propagative process. Therefore, this test is forced that injection timing, spark timing and intake air motion govern the stable combustion. From the results, it showed that the variable spark plug location and PDA valve can be reduced exhaust gas.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the differences of visual evaluatations by variations in the location of the waistline of the basic skirt. In the main experiment, we make 6 samples: the 1cm-natural waistline, the 3cm-natural waistline, the 5cm-natural waistline, the 7cm-natural waistline, the 9cm-natural waistline, the 11cm-natural waistline. The data has been obtained from 43 fashion design majors. The data has analyzed by Frequency, Factor Analysis, Anova, Scheffe's test. The results of the experiment are as follows. 1. The visual effects by the location of the waistline are composed of 4 factors: the shape of the abdomen, the shape of the pelvic, the length of the upper body, and the vertical effect of the lower body. 2. The visual effects by the location of the waistline have significant differnces all factors. The location of the waistline, which have the best visual effect, are the 3cm-waistline, the 5cm-waistline, and the 7cm-waistline. These location do not emphase the shape of the abdominal and pelvic regions, but they make the length of the lower part look slimmer and longer. 3. The visual image by the location of the waistline are corn posed of 3 factors: modesty, attractiveness, comfort. 4. The visual image by the location of the waistline have significant differnces all factors. In the visual image, the 1cm-waistline and the 5cm-waistline are evaluated badly in the aspects of modesty, attractiveness, comfort. The 9cm-waistline and the 11 cm-waistline are evaluated as having the best modesty and attraction features. The 3m-waistline are evaluated as the best comfort.

In location finding system using spaced multi-sensor, Depending on the signal source's location and the location of the sensors Position estimation accuracy is determined. This phenomenon is called GDOP effect. and to minimize these effects, research is needed on how. In this paper, I will describe how to minimize GDOP effect, estimating GDOP using angle of arrivals of multi sensors, and removing sensor error factor.
Simulation study were performed for fire location effect on the smoke spread in the deeply-underground subway station(DUSS). In this research, Shingumho station (The line # 5, Depth: 46m) has been selected as case-study for the analysis of smoke-spread effect with the different fire location. Field test data measured for actual fan in DUSS was applied as a condition of a simulation. The whole station was covered in this analysis and 4 million grids were generated for this simulation. The fire driven flow was analyzed case by case to compare the smoke-spread effect according to the fire location. In order to enhance the efficiency of calculation, parallel processing by MPI was employed and LES(large eddy simulation) method in FDS code was adopted.
