Local Stabilization of Input-Saturated Nonlinear Systems with Time-Delay via Fuzzy Control

  • In this paper, we present an analysis and design method fur the control of input-saturated nonlinear systems with the time-delay. The target system is represented by Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model and the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) controller is designed to guarantee the local stability of the equilibrium point. We derive the sufficient condition for the local stability by applying Lyapunov-krasovskii theorem and this condition is converted into the LMI problem.

  • We have analyzed the stability for cut-slopes at main street 3-2 line section in Pa-ju local industrial complex. After studying an additional boring test, laboratory test and face mapping etc., we have determined the extent of reinforcement, slope inclinations and soil strength parameter from the analysis of test results. After changing the inclination of slopes for ground limit and carrying out the analysis of slope stability, we applied the Mass Nailing Method to the site because of need for reinforcement to soil and weathered rock slopes. In slope for soft and hard rock sections, we also reinforced the sections that are difficult to obtain the safety without reinforcement in alteration zone.

Delayed Dynamics of Prey-Predator System with Distinct Functional Responses

  • In this article, a mathematical model is proposed and analyzed to study the delayed dynamics of a system having a predator and two preys with distinct growth rates and functional responses. The equilibrium points of proposed system are determined and the local stability at each of the possible equilibrium points is investigated by its corresponding characteristic equation. The boundedness of the system is established in the absence of delay and the condition for existence of persistence in the system is determined. The discrete type gestational delay of predator is also incorporated on the system. Further it is proved that the system undergoes Hopf bifurcation using delay as bifurcation parameter. This study refers that time delay may have an impact on the stability of the system. Finally Computer simulations illustrate the dynamics of the system.

  • Local governments have absolute authority for the policy and budget. So the backgrounds of local cultural foundation managers vary depending on whether the priorities are close relationship with upper institutions and organizational stability or whether the managers are asked to conduct autonomous management based on professionalism to boost the development of local culture. There are conflicting opinions about managers of local cultural foundations; some argue that administrators are desirable as they can not only maintain close relationship with the local government but also establish and maintain organizational stability. Others argue that cultural art experts are desirable for professional and effective management. However, the conflict and debate kept going on without clarifying objective facts how those completely different backgrounds, such as administrators and cultural art experts, make the characteristics of managers different. In this regard, this study divides the managers of The National Local Cultural Foundations Association into administrator group and cultural art expert group. By comparing and analyzing their characteristics, This study will enhance the professionalism and efficiency of each group.

  • This paper object is application of electronic Customers Relationship Management(e-CRM) for buyer This paper focuses on the possibility of the adaption of Escrow system in Local L/C opening and payment. The purposes of this study are to obtain efficiency and stability of Local L/C and to provide opportunity to accept trust of the transaction parties. The results of the study show that Escrow system is recommended when Local L/C opened, because Escrow system has the following merits: (1) Open system of internet can be used to Local L/C process. (2) Transaction process of Escrow system is very simple. (3) One stop transaction can be applied to all the process of local L/C.

Positional Stability Analysis of Trailing Aircraft in Formation Flight (편대비행에서 후방 항공기의 위치 안전성 분석)

  • Positional stability analysis based on aerodynamic forces and induced moments of formation flight using two small aircraft models is presented. The aerodynamic force and moments of the trailing aircraft are analyzed in the aspect of flight stability. The induced moments with the change of local flow direction by wing-tip vortex from the leading aircraft can affect the flight positional stability of aircraft in closed formation flight. Aerodynamic forces and moments of trailing aircraft model are measured by 6-component internal balance at the 49 locations with vertical and lateral space between two aircraft models. Results are shown that the positional stability of trailing aircraft in formation flight can be analyzed by positional stability derivatives with vertical and lateral space. It is concluded that flying positions can be important factors for aircraft position stability due to induced aerodynamic force and moments with vertical and lateral spacing by the variation of flow pattern from the leading aircraft in formation flight.

  • In this paper, using the power system information obtained from real-time monitoring device, to analyze the voltage stability margin index and described the voltage stability control scheme for voltage stability enhancement. Based on the utilization of the voltage stability monitoring index based on local information provided by the PMU(Phasor Measurement Unit), the purpose of the plan is to control the system stably in real time. In order to apply the load control scheme, the voltage stability margin is calculated using the data acquired through the PMU installed in each load bus. If the voltage drops below a certain level, load control is performed for each. The effectiveness of the voltage stability control measures is applied to the actual KEPCO system to analyze the effectiveness.

  • This paper suggest the on-line coordination control between on-load tap changers and Switched Shunts for ensuring the voltage stability using local data obtained from one substation. Inappropriate control of on-load tap changers that are able to maintain voltage profile might cause unintended result that is harmful to system stability, especially voltage stability. This paper utilizes Z-index that could inform the whole system condition from only one substation data. Simulation is performed using the HYPERSIM that is a digital simulator and matlab simulink to confirm the proposed algorithm.

Windproof ability of aerodynamic measures to improve the wind environment above a truss girder

  • Aerodynamic measures have been widely used for improving the flutter stability of long-span bridges, and this paper focuses their windproof ability to improve the wind environment for vehicles. The whole wind environment around a long-span bridge located in high altitude mountainous areas is first studied. The local wind environment above the deck is then focused by two perspectives. One is the windproof effects of aerodynamic measures, and the other is whether the bridge with aerodynamic measures meets the requirement of flutter stability after installing extra wind barriers in the future. Furthermore, the effects of different wind barriers are analyzed. Results show that aerodynamic measures exert potential effects on the local wind environment, as the vertical stabilizer obviously reduces wind velocities behind it while the closed central slot has limited effects. The suggested aerodynamic measures have the ability to offset the adverse effect of the wind barrier on the flutter stability of the bridge. Behind the wind barrier, wind velocities decrease in general, but in some places incoming flow has to pass through the deck with higher velocities due to the increase in blockage ratio. Further comparison shows that the wind barrier with four bars is optimal.
