The treatment outcome remains poor of severe facial injuries because of the high risk of compromised airway or massive bleeding. We experienced two successful treatment cases of severe facial injury by the chainsaw. A 52-year-male had his face injured by the chainsaw during his work. He was transferred to the Level I trauma center using the Doctor-Helicopter. During his flight, bleeding control was tried and the information was given to the trauma surgeons before his arrival. His consciousness was alert and the vital signs were stable. The crushing wound, mandible open fracture, deep laceration of tongue, lip, neck and arterial bleeding were noted around his mandible. Nasotracheal intubation was performed under the bronchoscope-guided. Emergency operation (open reduction & internal fixation, primary repair with neurorrhaphy) was performed. At 30 hospital days, he was discharged with facial palsy on left mandibular area. A 30-year-male had his face injured by the chainsaw. He was transferred to our Level I trauma center from the local hospital. The deep-mutiple lacerations on right upper eyelid and forehead with the bony exposure were noted. The vital signs were stable and emergency operation was performed. He was discharged at 20 hospital days. Bone loss or tissue loss were not devastating than we expected even though the injury was occurred by the chainsaw. Aggressive treatment including airway manipulation or bleeding control and maximal opportunity of therapy are absolutely needed.

Yb₂Si₂O₇ has a coefficient of thermal expansion similar to that of the base material of SiC and has excellent corrosion resistance in a high-temperature oxidizing atmosphere including water vapor, so it is being studied as one of the materials for environmental barrier coatings (EBCs). In this study, Yb₂Si₂O₇ powder granule is deposited using atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) with different Ar/He ratios. Phase formation and microstructural characteristics are investigated with the coated specimens. In the coating layer, the crystallinity decreased, and the amorphous content increased from an increase in the ratio of Ar. In addition, the various types of particles involved by local volatilization of Si according to the Ar/He ratios were identified.

Duan Fang's doctrine of constitutional monarchy went forward from monarchy to constitutional government based on that an establishment of constitution political structure is superior to a arbitrary rule political structure. And Duan Fang's doctrine featured limitation of monarch's authority protection of subjects' rights. He thought constitution government should be based on the establishment of constitution preparation. He believed that China need to take merit equally in the process of establishment of constitution preparation. In spite of this flexible recognition, there was not enough consideration about an ideological, social and economical basis that can make possible constitutional government operation. He had understood constitutional government system from angle of monarch's safety and the wealth and power of nation. The view was that a responsible Cabinet was for monarch's safety and the nation assembly judicature local autonomous is a system for safety of nation showed us. In his opinion, neither main task of congress is legislation, cabinet nor is the high ranking executive agency, however, he expected to constitutionalism system to become a buffing role instead of monarch. A little pure and simple thinking that open nation assembly and execute constitutional monarchy could make China powerful and wealthy might reflected urgent situation at that time.

Small interfering RNA (siRNA) functions through pairing with specific mRNA sequences and results in the mRNA's degradation. It is a potential therapeutic approach for many diseases caused by altered gene expression. The delivery of siRNA is still a major problem due to its rapid degradation in the circulation. Various strategies have been proposed to help with the cellular uptake of siRNA and short or small hairpin RNA (shRNA). Here, we reviewed recently published data regarding local applications of siRNA. Compared with systemic delivery methods, local delivery of siRNA/shRNA has many advantages, such as targeting the specific tissues or organs, mimicking a gene knockout effect, or developing certain diseases models. The eye, brain, and tumor tissues are 'hot' target tissues/organs for local siRNA delivery. The siRNA can be delivered locally, in naked form, with chemical modifications, or in formulations with viral or non-viral vectors, such as liposomes and nanoparticles. This review provides a comprehensive overview of RNAi local administration and potential future applications in clinical treatment.

To obtain information on the characters of local and introduced varieties of sunflower, 492 varieties were planted on May 1. and June 15, 1974. Results observed were as flowers; 1) In flowering date, local varieties showed no significant difference between planting date, however introduced varieties were late in the delayed planting date. 2) Local varieties were more sensitive at the response of day length effect than introduced ones. 3) Introduced varieties were recommandable than local in growing them after barley harvest. But local varieties were stable in transplanting.

Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) of larynx is a rare disease, accounting for less than 1% of laryngeal malignancies, These tumors arise almost exclusively in the subglottic and supraglottic regions, while the proportion of glottic ACCs is small. We describe a case of a young man with a subglottis adenoid cystic carcinoma, The patient underwent laryngeal microscopic surgery and radiotherapy, Five years after radiotherapy, local recurrence and distant metastasis Clung and kidney) was detected and he underwent palliative chemotherapy and local treatment. He is still alive for seven years after the initial diagnosis. The treatment strategies for laryngeal ACC are still controversial due to the rarity of the condition. We suggest that multimodality approach may be helpful in deciding a treatment option, and thorough and consistent follow-up for recurrence is mandatory for these patients.

A 33-year old male was admitted due to continuous high spiking fever for 2 months via local clinic. He had been diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis at local clinic. However, spiking fever had not been controlled by anti-tuberculous medications. Chest PA showed confluent consolidation on right upper & mid-lung field. 5 anti-tuberculous regimens(Streptomycin, Isoniazid, Rifampin, Ethambutol, Pyrazinamaide) were administered initially and steroid therapy was followed for relieving toxic symptoms Very slowly resolved chest X-ray lesion and continuous fever suggested the possibility of misdiagnosis. After 60th hospital day, the chest X-ray lesion was resolved gradually and fever subsided almost completely. He was discharged on 76th hospital day with anti-tuberculous drugs and steroid(prednisolon), without any other problems except sustained mild fever.

The purpose of this study is to report a clinical progress of treatment of sequelae caused by removal of facial schwannoma through Korean medicine. A patient was diagnosed with facial schwannoma by MRI on 4th June 2012 in local university hospital, he had right facial palsy, auditory hypersensitivity, dizziness after removal of facial schwannoma. Between 25th July 2012 and 26th January 2013, he was treated with acupuncture, cupping, electro-acupuncture every week and observed by House-Brackmann facial nerve grading system(H-B scale) and MoReSS every month. He had 29 times treatments. At the first of treatment, his state was Grade IV (H-B scale), 4/8(facial nerve grading), 10 points during action 7 points during rest(MoReSS) and he had severe facial palsy, ill-acrimation, auditory hypersensitivity. At the middle of treatment, October 2012, symptoms improved. State was Grade III (H-B scale), 5/8(facial nerve grading), 7 points during action 3 points during rest(MoReSS). Severe facial palsy improved ; Forehead creasing and union motor function recovered, he was able to close his eyes so ill-acrimation improved. At the end of treatment, January 2012, state was Grade II (H-B scale), 7.5/8(facial nerve grading), 3 points during action 1 point during rest(MoReSS). He had only occasional tinnitus and auditory hypersensitivity. Acupuncture and electro-acupuncture are estimated to be good for facial palsy after removal of facial schwannoma. More cases are required to develop treatment of facial palsy.

Recently, a new paradigm for the change in recognition on educational spaces and their recycling has been spotlighting a concept of community school. However in Korea, there have been few changes in physical environment since the modern education started, due to the inconsistent educational policies and bungled administration. In contrast to Korea, Netherlands has been activating educational spaces to communicate with the local community, reacting to the change in several educational policies for the last 20 years. We, therefore, need to analyze the recent community school of Herman Hertzberger who starting with the Montessori School, came to the fore with a proposal of new relational educational spaces. For linking his relational architectural philosophy to the local community and community school, he applied it to a contact area. He then organized socially sustainable spaces to promote different acts to take place, laying stress on mutual forms and behaviors between spaces and spaces, spaces and people and people and people. In addition to a structural relation with the macroscopic community of architecture, he also created opened spaces, not those where are independent or disconnected, by encouraging users to meet and act in detailed components such as stairs, walls, windows and others. This study aims to consider how Hertzberger's various community spaces in the community school have been created after the 2000s and suggest design plans for educational spaces to communicate, according to the recent educational trend aspiring towards open education.

In this paper, we propose a decoupled local discontinuous Galerkin method for solving the Klein-Gordon-Schrödinger (KGS) equations. The KGS equations is a model of the Yukawa interaction of complex scalar nucleons and real scalar mesons. The advantage of our scheme is that the computation of the nucleon and meson field is fully decoupled, so that it is especially suitable for parallel computing. We present the conservation property of our fully discrete scheme, including the energy and Hamiltonian conservation, and establish the optimal error estimate.
