We analyzed the effect of local college students' economic activities on the local economy. The analysis method was an industry-related analysis based on data obtained from a survey. As a result of the analysis, local university students were found to be sensitive to price when consuming due to insufficient living infrastructure around local universities. In addition, as a result of analyzing the impact of local college students' consumption expenditures on the local economy, especially local income, using a regional industry correlation table, the total income generated was KRW 130.6 billion (direct and indirect income effects KRW 90.9 billion, induced income effects KRW 39.6 billion), and the number of people induced to be employed was KRW 130.6 billion. It was estimated that there were 2,145 people per year. We examined the effect of local college students' economic activities on the local economy through quantitative analysis. This is a contribution point of the study as evidence supporting the maintenance and necessity of local universities, and suggests that the government and local governments should take active interest and efforts in fostering local universities.

This study postulates a partial mediation model(study model I) and a whole mediation model(study model II) to examine the effect on endogenous rural development of local innovation capability strengthening in the local industry promotion project, the establishment of promotion system, and the revitalization of local economy. To accomplish study purposes, 169 response samples from 85 project groups which drive the local industry promotion project were verified using SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0. The results showed that in the partial mediation model, the local innovation capability strengthening had a significantly positive effect on the establishment of promotion system, the establishment of promotion system had a significant effect on the revitalization of local economy, and the revitalization of local economy had a significant effect on the endogenous rural development, while the establishment of promotion system and local innovation capability strengthening didn't have effect on the endogenous rural development. In the whole mediation model, the local innovation capability strengthening had a significant effect on the revitalization of local economy, the establishment of promotion system on the revitalization of local economy, and the revitalization of local economy on the endogenous rural development. According to the verifications of study model I and II, the endogenous rural development is achieved after the revitalization of local economy through the establishment of promotion system and the local innovation capability strengthening. From these results, this study presents suggestions, limits of study and directions in the future study.

In Korea, various community investment renewable project models are being implemented to increase community acceptance of renewable energy. An important factor for enhancing local acceptance is that renewable energy projects have a positive effect on revitalizing the local economy such as income increase or job creation for residents and local companies. To maximize the local economic effect of large-scale community investment renewable energy projects, this study developed an evaluation index for local economy activation, whose indicators are the local return on investment, local companies' participation, local job creation, regional cooperation, transparency, and governance. Analysis of existing evaluation indicators and current renewable projects, financial analysis, and expert interviews were used in this research. The pilot evaluation determined that, the local economic effect was high in the following order: a fund investment wind project (Gangwon), benefit-sharing wind project (Jeju), and general wind project. In particular, residents' investment amount, the number of participating residents, and the amount and transparency of the regional cooperation fund were key factors to expand the effect of local economy activation. This evaluation index could be used in public bidding for renewable energy projects such as offshore wind zoning areas of local government.

This study postulates a study model to examine the effect on the local economy revitalization of a selection of local resources, the local innovation capability strengthening, the establishment of promotion system and the creation of revenues for the participant groups of the local industry promotion project. To accomplish study purposes, 169 response samples from 85 project groups which drive the local industry promotion project were verified using SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0. The results showed that firstly, the selection of local resources had a significant effect on the local innovation capability strengthening. Secondly, the local innovation capability strengthening had a significant effect on the establishment of promotion system. Thirdly, the establishment of promotion system had a significant effect on the creation of revenues. Fourthly, the selection of local resources didn't have an effect on the revitalization of local economy. Fifthly, both the local innovation capability strengthening and the establishment of promotion system didn't have an effect on the revitalization of local economy. Sixthly, the creation of revenues had a significant effect on the revitalization of local economy. According to the verifications of study model, the revitalization of local economy is achieved by inducing creation of revenues through the local innovation capability strengthening and the establishment of promotion system after the selection of local resources. From these results, this study presents suggestions, limits of study and directions in the future study.

The construction industry in the local areas business as the archetypal local one is effectuating industrial production, create employment and so on to perform a significant part in keeping local economy also reviving sluggish economy. The construction stagnation in market may cause severe economic depression in local which leads to having a crippling impact on local constructive industry, in terms of the phenomenon is on the interrelation between the local construction industry and local economy, with regard to local economy which is not covered by firm based industries is wield strong influenced over by construction industry. The object of this study is to research possible improvement factors on the preferential basis by only companies' efforts, therefore the policy of government or local self-governing body in support may be unnecessarily involved after grasping faced practical problems at regional construction companies from analysing the present condition of local construction marketplace and companies.

본 연구에서는 최근 사회적으로 논의되고 있는 쟁점 중 하나인 공유경제서비스가 지역 관광지 내 공유경제네트워크 구축 과정에서 어떤 방식으로 정착될 수 있을지에 대해서 탐색적 수준에서 분석했다. 일반 소비자들을 대상으로 조사하여 분석한 결과, 숙박 및 차량 기반 공유경제서비스에 대해서 호의적인 태도는 지역공유경제서비스의 네트워크 및 지역 주민교육의 필요성, 지역경제활성화에 대한 신념에 직접적으로 영향을 주지 않고, 소비자 스스로의 공유경제서비스에 대한 지식, 정보 학습의 열망이 매개되어 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이 같은 분석결과를 통해 지역의 관광자원개발 과정에서 구축될 수 있는 공유경제서비스 활성화는 지역사회, 지역주민들의 노력만으로 이루어질 수 없으며, 소비자의 공유경제에 대한 정보 및 지식의 학습이 함께 구현되어야만 지역관광지 활성화로 이어질 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이제 지역사회의 공유경제 네트워크를 통한 관광지 및 관광자원 개발은 소비자와 지역주민의 상호작용을 통한 긴밀한 의사소통을 통해 추진되어야 할 것이다.

최근 4차 산업혁명의 시대를 맞아 지역경제의 새로운 성장 동력이 될 것이라고 기대되는 4차 산업에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이러한 관심을 바탕으로 다양한 정책들이 수립되고 있으나 실제 지역경제에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 4차 산업의 집적수준의 변화가 지역경제 성장에 미치는 영향을 전국의 시군구를 대상으로 공간통계모형을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 4차 산업의 집적이 지역경제의 생산성 측면에는 긍정적인 영향을 주지만 지역의 소득에 대해서는 영향을 준다는 근거를 발견하기 어려웠다. 따라서 4차 산업의 집적이 지역경제에 미치는 영향은 제한적인 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 4차 산업 유형별로 집적이 지역경제에 미치는 영향이 상이하였으며, 지역경제 영향을 주는 4차 산업혁명 관련 산업은 제조업과 금융 및 보험업의 집적으로 나타났다.

This paper analyzes job creation when the Korean economy transitioned to a knowledge economy from the 1990s to the 2010s. During this period, the ratio of service to manufacturing jobs increased, knowledge intensive industries grew, and job creation became geographically concentrated around Seoul. The changes slowed down in the 2010s, and overall job growth weakened. To analyze the effect of job creation driver industries during this period, the main part of which are knowledge intensive tradable service industries, on local service job creation, I use a modified version of the local labor market of Moretti (2010). I analyze the job changes during 1995-2005 and during 2006-2016 in 237 Si-Gun-Gu areas in the Census on Establishments datasets. I find that one manufacturing job creates 0.5 local service jobs and that one tradable service job creates 1.1 jobs within Gu areas of metro cities and 2.3 jobs in Si-Gun areas. The job creation relationship between the tradable and local service sectors was not altered in this period. As more jobs were created in the tradable sector driven by the transition to a knowledge economy, job creation overall remained active, with the opposite also being true.

도로는 지역경제의 성장과 지역간 연결성 그리고 생활환경의 질을 높이는데 기여하는 사회 간접자본 시설이다. 현재 우리나라는 도로와 같은 사회 간접자본 시설의 증가가 특정 지역에 편중되어 있어 지역간 큰 불균형을 이루고 있다. 또한, 일부지역에서는 지역경제 성장의 근간이 되는 도로의 부족으로 인해 대기업 및 중소기업들이 지역 내 투자를 꺼려해 지방세수입의 감소 및 지역의 산업, 경제발전과 지방재정자립도의 부실 등 지방경제재정 전반이 취약한 실정이다. 한편, 중앙집권시대에서 지방 분권화 시대로 넘어가면서 지방 사회 간접자본 시설 확충에 대해 국토의 전반적인 개발을 우선시하는 균형화 개발보다는 기존의 경제적 규모에 의한 개발정책이 우선시 되어 지역간의 경제적 격차를 고착화시키고, 나아가서는 지역적 부의 차이가 교육, 사회, 문화, 예술 등 전반적인 삶의 질까지 차등화 하려는 조짐을 보이고 있다. 본 논문에서는 국토의 균형 발전과 지방경제 활성화를 위해 필요한 조건 가운데 하나인 도로건설을 중심으로 도로성장과 지역경제에 관한 분석을 시도하였다.

Japan's new local revitalization plan is unique in that the national government has asked local governments to form their own initiatives; and we can expect that there will be various ideas from the perspectives of local residents. However, it is important to note that not all local governments considered the actions of their competitors and neighboring governments. Currently, Japanese industries are so interconnected that we cannot ignore the actions of others. In this paper, we propose a simple indicator that policy makers can use to determine the focus for the local economy.
