Objectives: The 2007 Korea National Survey for Environmental Pollutants in the Human Body found the highest blood mercury levels nationwide among residents in Seoksan-ri, Goro-myeon, Gunwi-gun, Gyeonsangbuk-do. With the aim to reduce the blood mercury levels of residents in this region, we conducted this study to identify the association between mercury exposure levels and shark meat consumption. Methods: This survey was conducted with 118 participants in Seoksan-ri before the Chuseok festival and 113 residents were added afterwards. Information on participants was collected via questionnaires. Total mercury concentrations in biological samples were measured using a mercury analyzer with the gold-amalgam collection method. Results: To identify this, we conducted mercury exposure level analysis before and after the Chuseok festival and found that blood and urinary mercury levels after Chuseok (GM of $6.9{\mu}g/L$ in blood and $1.68{\mu}g/g$_cr in urine) were higher than those before (GM of $5.29{\mu}g/L$ in blood and $1.44{\mu}g/g$_cr in urine). This area maintains a custom of using shark meat as one of the ancestral rite foods, and the performance of such rites and shark meat consumption have been identified as main sources of mercury exposure. Other than this, smoking, dental amalgam treatment and residential period in the area also contributed to an increase in mercury exposure levels. On the other hand, recent consumption of oriental medicine and vaccination did not have a significant influence on mercury levels. Conclusion: The results were attributed to the local custom of consuming shark meat with high mercury concentrations during rituals taking place during the festival and ancestral rites. Given that the blood mercury levels in 23.2% of the residents exceeded the HBM II values recommended by the German Commission on Human Biological Monitoring, it is suggested that further appropriate actions and follow-up measures be taken to reduce the mercury exposure levels of the residents that exceeded the reference values.
TV news anchor woman's appearance, voice, expression, and clothing, etc., have an influence on the reliability of the article to be reported. Among these, clothing is the most crucial factor in forming an anchor woman's image, especially the clothing color factor. This study is aimed at providing the basic foundation for anchor woman when they select the clothing color by analyzing the clothing color image on the screen. For this purpose, the KBS and MBC 9 o'clock news desk and SBS 8 o'clock news of the local major news programs were selected. With the collection of 300 pieces of news clips related to anchor woman's clothing from January to December 2008, they were classified into F/W seasons and analyzed by the clothing color. The surveying method of clothing color was to capture the anchor woman's clothing among the news clips, then pick the representing color by applying Adobe Photoshop, and researching the formed $L^*a^*b^*$ value of color chips. The surveyed color was transformed into value of distant cell, H V/C, and the results were analyzed. As a result, it showed that the White system for anchor woman's clothing during the S/S seasons is most frequently picked, followed by the Red system. In F/W seasons, Gray system is the most favored, then White and Red, respectively. It was revealed that the most frequently selected colors for upper-wear by anchor women in the three broadcasting stations was an achromatic color, such as White or Gray, and then the chromatic color, Red. It shows that there is no big difference in season. The Inner-wear color matched the jackets which were also achromatic in color, white and black being the most favored in the S/S seasons, and in the case of chromatic colors, Red was the most favored. In addition to this, identical coloration with jacket, coloration with similar color, or single color as clothing color were no less frequently adopted. During the F/W seasons, identical coloration accounts for 26%, the most popular colored being White and Red. It was found that the coloration with achromatic colors are highly favored in the three major broadcasting stations alike.
Objectives : Peripheral blood-buffy coat fractions (N=14,956) have been stored at $-70^{\circ}C$ in the headquarter of the Korean Multicenter Cancer Cohort (KMCC), since 1993. To study the future molecular etiology of cancers using specimens of the cohort, properly stored specimens are necessary, Therefore, the DNA-viability of the bully coat samples was investigated. Methods : Buffy coat fraction samples were randomly selected from various collection areas and years (N=100). The DNA viability was evaluate from the UV-absorbent ratios at 260/280nm and the PCH for $\beta$-globin was performed with genomic DNA isolated from the buffy coat. Results : PCR products were obtained from 85 and 98% of the C and H area-samples, respectively, using 50 or $100{\mu}l$ of the buffy coat. There were significant differences in the yields of the PCR-amplifications from the C and H areas (p<0.05), which was due to differences in the homogenization of the buffy coat fractions available as aliquots. The PCR-products were obtained from all of the samples (N=7) stored at the C area-local confer, but the other aliquots stored at the headquarter were not PCR-amplified, Therefore, the PCR products in almost all the samples, even including the DNA-degraded samples, were obtained. In addition, an improvement in the DNA isolation, i,e. approx. 1.6 fold, was found after using extra RBC lysis buffer. Conclusions : PCR products for $\beta$-globin were obtained from nearly all of the samples. The regional differences in the PCR amplifications were thought to have originated from the different sample-preparation and homogenization performance. Therefore, the long term-stored buffy coat species at the KMCC can be used for future molecular studies.
This study were carried out to evaluate the possibility of nuclear progression of canine immature oocytes, of which was cultured in a reproductive tract, such as oviduct, ovarian bursa and uterus of estrus bitch for 4, 5 and 6 days following immediately collection. Cumulus intact oocytes(COC) fore collected from domestic dog following ovariohysterectomy at local veterinary clinics. In Exp. 1, COCs $of>110\;{\mu}m$ diameter were selected and cultured in vitro at $39^{\circ}C$, $5\%\;CO\_{2} $ in air atmosphere. The nuclear progression of canine oocytes checked at 24, 48 or 72 h after in vitro maturation. There was not increased the nuclear progression to the M II stage depending on culture periods at 24, 48 and 72h $(1.3\%,\;3.7\%\;and\;4.7\%)$. In Exp. 2, to evaluate of nuclear progression of immature oocytes, collected or in vitro cultured oocytes were transfer into a canine reproductive tract (oviduct, ovarian bursa and uterus). The recovery rates of canine oocytes from a reproductive tract after 4 days $(33.7\%)$ in vivo culture were significantly higher than those 5 $(17.7\%)$ 6 day $(3.4\%)$ (P<0.05). The survival rates of collected oocytes after 4 days $(60.0\%)$ were also significantly higher than those of 5 days $(30.2\%)$ and 6 days $(38.9\%)$ (P<0.05). The meiotic resumption rates of canine oocytes were not significantly difference among the culture periods at 4 days $(5.9\%)$, 5 days $(0.0\%)$ and 6 days $(0.0\%)$. These results show that the nuclear progression of canine immature oocytes from in in vivo culture was not affect the nuclear resumption of oocytes.
Outdoor advertising signs of sity is recorgnized as the most basic element forming street scenes of city as well as establishing the citys identity in firsthand and secondhand. It has just started by commercial measure but recntly, in the rapid economical growth and diversified social structure a grent number of business have been generated so that is brings an absoluce increage of kind and quantity in outdoor advertising signs. Such quantitative increase has caused now envirenmental city problems so a more effective control of outdoor advertising signs and sophisticatided and logical design is needed. Thus, I would like to set up the direction with street scenes of city can be formed through this study. Firstly, understanding the concept, special features, and strong, weark points of street scenes of city and outdoor advertising signs. Secondly, in present sitiation analysis, studing and comparing the chracteristic of our present outdoor advertising regulations with those of Japanese regulations. Thirdly performing the reserch upon now advertising signs can be influentia in city scenes and thereafter, issuing possible problem censequantly, I would like to suggest the direction of control policy of outdoor advertising signs as following (1). Leading differentiation of each reggion for the solution of environmental and scenic problem. (2). Non-realistic advertising regulation are needed to be amended for uping changing outdoor advertising signs. (3). Advertising problems should be settleed through effectiveness of outdoor advertising signs administration. (4). The problem of advertising agenics should be leaded short term and long term plan. (5). Collection of scenic pollution should be operated for building up a scenic and community consciousness. Therefore, with these suggestion of clear direction of polish, the improvement of city scenes and regional differentiation followed by activated local autonomy system can be induced so that a more beautiful city scenes can be achiveved.
With the 91 lines of Italian millet collected throughout the whole country in Korea and the 238 varieties from several Asian countries, trial was carried out to elucidate its differentiation, dissemination and distribution, and the ethnobotanical relations to the adjacent area. Glutinous millets which consisted of 66% among the collected Korean lines were widely distributed throughout the whole country, but non-glutinous ones were mainly distributed in the mountainous regions and Jeju island. The variations in germinability at low temperature were recognized among lines, but seemed not to be closely related to their regional distribution. The collected lines with small grain size were distributed mainly in the mountainous regions of middle and northern part of Korea and larger ones in Jeonnam province and Jeju island. And some of them were larger in grain size as compared with that of Japanese and Republic of China varieties. Seed coat color of collected lines in Korea showed wide variations from yellow to gray, especially in Gyungbuk province. However, all lines from Chungnam, Jeonnam and Gyungnam province were yellow in seed coat color. All lines from Korean collection except two lines indicated negative(-) phenol reaction which is very similar to that of Japan and China, while these were quite different from the varieties of Republic of China, Philippines and India, of which 30-60% showed positive(+) phenol reaction. The pattern of the esterase isozyme m Korean lines was simillar to that of Japanese lines and this was quite different from that of Republic of China, Philippines and India. Variation of this trait was greater in Chinese and Korean lines.
This research aims to investigate the cause of the occurrence of a weak road drainage section scientifically and specifically through a site survey for a poorly drained section occurring due to rainfalls during road operation. This paper deeply reviewed the existing research results and current situation data on the poorly drained sections accumulated in Korea Expressway Corporation in order to investigate the cause of the occurrence of a weak road drainage section, and deeply verified and analyzed the weak sections for the road surface drainage facilities and the other road drainage facilities by visiting the expressway controlled by the 6 local headquarters and 33 branches of Korea Expressway Corporation. As a result of site surveys for the weak road drainage sections, i) in a road surface section, occurrence of ponding in the road shoulder pavement due to slope changes, bad collection of water in the collecting well at a median strip, shortage of road shoulder dike height, and inferior construction, etc. was analyzed to be the main cause of the occurrence of poorly drained sections, and ii) in a road neighborhood section, the occurrence of pavement height difference in a main road and shoulder section due to inferior ditches on a slope and the bad drain age at the inlet and outlet of a culvert due to soil deposits, debris, etc. were analyzed to be the main cause of the occurrence of weak sections. Proposed as a plan to improve the poorly drainage section of road were i)calculation of capacity through material changes at the ditch, enhancement of vertical sections and hydraulic analysis in terms of construction and other aspects, ii)derivation of a combined slope considering a slope and a vertical linearity and maintenance of proper distance between drainage structures in a vertical concave section in terms of geometrical structure, and iii)calculation of the drainage facility installation interval using a minutely rainfall intensity formula and a non-uniform flow analysis technique in terms of hydraulics and hydrologics and prompt removal of rainfalls from the road surface according to a linear drainage method.

A comprehensive collection of proteins senses local changes in intracellular $Ca^{2+}$ concentrations ($[Ca^{2+}]_i$) and transduces these signals into responses to agonists. In the present study, we examined the effect of sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) on modulation of intracellular $Ca^{2+}$ concentrations in cat esophageal smooth muscle cells. To measure $[Ca^{2+}]_i$ levels in cat esophageal smooth muscle cells, we used a fluorescence microscopy with the Fura-2 loading method. S1P produced a concentration-dependent increase in $[Ca^{2+}]_i$ in the cells. Pretreatment with EGTA, an extracellular $Ca^{2+}$ chelator, decreased the S1P-induced increase in $[Ca^{2+}]_i$, and an L-type $Ca^{2+}$-channel blocker, nimodipine, decreased the effect of S1P. This indicates that $Ca^{2+}$ influx may be required for muscle contraction by S1P. When stimulated with thapsigargin, an intracellular calcium chelator, or 2-Aminoethoxydiphenyl borate (2-APB), an $InsP_3$ receptor blocker, the S1P-evoked increase in $[Ca^{2+}]_i$ was significantly decreased. Treatment with pertussis toxin (PTX), an inhibitor of $G_i$-protein, suppressed the increase in $[Ca^{2+}]_i$ evoked by S1P. These results suggest that the S1P-induced increase in $[Ca^{2+}]_i$ in cat esophageal smooth muscle cells occurs upon the activation of phospholipase C and subsequent release of $Ca^{2+}$ from the $InsP_3$-sensitive $Ca^{2+}$ pool in the sarcoplasmic reticulum. These results suggest that S1P utilized extracellular $Ca^{2+}$ via the L type $Ca^{2+}$ channel, which was dependent on activation of the $S1P_4$ receptor coupled to PTX-sensitive $G_i$ protein, via phospholipase C-mediated $Ca^{2+}$ release from the $InsP_3$-sensitive $Ca^{2+}$ pool in cat esophageal smooth muscle cells.

Purpose: Epitheliod sarcoma is an obscure clinical entity. This study analyzes the correlation between the clinical course and the AJCC stage, presence of residual tumor and ezrin-expression. Materials and Methods: Twenty-three cases of epithelioid sarcoma were eligible. All the cases had operation. Fifteen cases had systemic chemotherapy and 6 cases had adjuvant radiotherapy. Immumohistochemical analysis was done for 15 cases. Analyzed factors were initial stage, adjuvant treatment, local recurrence, residual tumor immumohistochemical results and surgical margin. Results: The event free survival rate of 15 stage II, III cases was 47.4% at 129 months. The actual survival rate of 8 stage IV cases was 37.5% at 80 months. The presence of residual tumor tissue on re-excision specimen showed statistical significance on event free survival rate(P=0.03). Adjuvant therapy showed no impact on outcome. The stage IV and locally recurrent cases had a positive relation with Ezrin-positivity. Conclusion: Residual tumor showed correlation in the outcome of epitheliod sarcoma. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy did not affect the outcome. Further case collection and analysis is needed for the significance between Ezrin expression and clinical behavior.
This study was intended to assess the need of home nursing care and analyze the effect of home nursing care, and find out the problems during the performance of home nursing care for the chronic patients among the low-income people in urban area. Data collection by interview was carried out from Nov. 1991 to Jul. 1992. The main results were as follows; 1) Total subjects for the need assessment of home nursing care were 123 households wi th 488 persons in a urban poor area. Over half of households $(57.7\%)$ was teenage family. The overall living conditions were poor and the average monthly income was 580 thousands won. $74.8\%$ of subjects was covered by medical care insurance and only $4.7\%$ was covered by public assistance. The morbidity rate was $8.2\%$ among 488 subjects and $27.5\%$ of them was not treated at all, $30\%$ was treated in utilizing pharmacies or local clinics. 2) The subjects of home nursing care were 46 with Hypertension or DM who agreeded the participation of study among registered patients at a public health center in Incheon. Home visiting was performed at intervals per one month for one year. Most of them were the elder(mean age=61 years) and long term patients(7.8 years continued). Home nursing care was effective. That is, blood pressure(including systolic and diastolic pressure) was significantly reduced (t(n=22)=2.31, P=.031, t(n=24)=4.16, P=.000 respectively) and knowledge of disease(t(N=46)=-7.63, P=.000), attitude of disease (t(N =46) = -4.92, P=.000), and self-care(t(N =46) = -4.89, P= .000) were significantly improved through home nursing care. But there was no difference in blood sugar for diabetics between the beginning and the end of visits. At the beginning of visit for home nursing care, sex$(\beta=-0414,\;t=-3.012)$ and nursing need({3=.310, t=2.164) were influencing self-care, and duration of disease$(\beta=.297,\;t=2.106)$ and nursing need $(\beta=.385, t=20417)$ were influencing blood pressure, blood sugar level. Namely, the subjects who were male and had higher nursing need showed better self-care and the longer duration of disease and the higher nursing need were relationship with the better blood pressure and blood sugar level. At the end of visit for home nursing care after one year, the blood pressure and blood sugar level was influenced by age $(\beta.320,\;t= 2.242)$, duration of disease ($(\beta.352,\;t= 2.395)$ and nursing need $(\beta=.350,\;t=2.623)$ and self-care had no influencing factor. The higher age and the longer duration of disease and the higher nursing need were relationship with the better blood pressure and blood sugar level. 3) The problems that were found out during the performance of home nursing care were the absent of useful protocols for services and the clear evaluation base, and the difficulty of teaching elders who were the major part of our subjects.

② 상기 이용제한 규정에 따라 서비스를 이용하는 회원에게 서비스 이용에 대하여 별도 공지 없이 서비스 이용의
일시정지, 이용계약 해지 할 수 있습니다.
제 17 조 (전자우편주소 수집 금지)
회원은 전자우편주소 추출기 등을 이용하여 전자우편주소를 수집 또는 제3자에게 제공할 수 없습니다.
제 6 장 손해배상 및 기타사항
제 18 조 (손해배상)
당 사이트는 무료로 제공되는 서비스와 관련하여 회원에게 어떠한 손해가 발생하더라도 당 사이트가 고의 또는 과실로 인한 손해발생을 제외하고는 이에 대하여 책임을 부담하지 아니합니다.
제 19 조 (관할 법원)
서비스 이용으로 발생한 분쟁에 대해 소송이 제기되는 경우 민사 소송법상의 관할 법원에 제기합니다.
[부 칙]
1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
