The purpose of this thesis was to design and develop restaurant uniforms for Yeosu and Suncheon-City using local cultural resources by investigating the present situation of restaurant uniforms. The study was conducted through literature review and practical research on uniform designs. The practical research included investigating and analyzing the recent uniform designs of 60 spots in both cities and the preference of local cultural resources, finally suggesting eight restaurant uniform designs and four original samples. It was found that most workers in both cities wore shirts and pants or aprons as uniforms and also that the restaurant uniforms had many problems, such as poor designs, functionality, and the lack of local characteristics. According to these results, a design concept called 'Colorful Night Sea' was built for Yeosu using a design motive of a Yeosu Expo symbol, a Big-O Show shape, and Dolsan Gat flowers. For Suncheon-city, a design concept called 'A Rural Landscape' was built using a design motive of Nagan Eupseong and a field of reeds in Suncheon Bay. The restaurant uniform items included a top (shirt or blouse), pants, apron, and headdress in both cities. This study is meaningful as it helped improve the local image and economic situation, by proposing distinct uniforms designed by using local cultural resources.

This paper aims to examine the background, process, and characteristics of the territorial reform of local governments in West Germany (the Federal Republic of Germany) in the 1960s and 70s. During this period the territorial structure and function of municipality (Gemeinde), county (Kreis) and county-free town (Kreisfreie Stadt) as local governments were fundamentally reformed. The territorial reform of local governments paid special attention to merge the small-sized municipalities and to create the joint authorities in order to build the system of central localities. There had been criticism on the uniform boundary delimitation, confusion of regional identity, erosion of local autonomy and emphasis on the regional planning. But the territorial reform of the period has contributed to improve the performance of public administration and to strengthen the service delivery and planning capacity.

This study is intending to look into the status of the hitherto established local governments light pollution control ordinance, and to use the ordinance status as basic data of ordinance enactment related to light pollution in time of its establishment and revision in accordance with regional characteristics of each local government for the time to come. This study conducted this research in a total of 3-phase research methods. 1) This study inquired into the direction of the research plan through the theoretical consideration and analysis of the preceding researches after setting up research objectives according to research background and purpose. 2) Targeting 11 local governments which are enforcing the hitherto established ordinance, this study surveyed the status of the light pollution control ordinance. 3) This study carried out the contents analysis of the ordinance in the method of doing a comparative analysis of each provision of the ordinance according to local governments. It's hoped that on the basis of this research, local governments across the nation, which have not yet established the same ordinance, could minimize the damage to natural eco-system due to artificial lighting by promoting the urgent ordinance establishment suited for each region, and create human-oriented light environment by modifying various disorderly lighting environment.
This study conducted a comparative analysis on ordinances on landscape composition by local governments, which are a part of the policy to activate landscape composition, by examining the cases of Korea and Japan. For the purpose of specialized landscape compositions according to the own characteristics of Korean local governments, this study suggests factors to consider on the enactment of ordinance on landscape composition as follows. First, in order to compose landscape with an unique figure of the local government, it is required to collect and analyze informations about the local landscape, to provide consistent programs of education and publicity related to the landscape composition and to encourage the involvement of local citizens and reward it. Second, the construction of the ordinance needs to build a plan of landscape composition for each district focused on the landscape composition, to introduce a system which enables self-designation of an ordinance, to establish a detailed guidance, to assign the duty to keep the guidance and regulate punishment in case of a violation of the guidance. It could be done by completing the common or basic elements on the construction of the ordinance on landscape composition.
This study analyzed purchasing characteristics of local agricultural products and processed products as well as evaluated operation programs for Changnyeon festival participants. The purchasing rates of local agricultural products and processed products at this festival were 63.6% and 49.1%, respectively, and the main purchased crops were onion (42.6%) and garlic (20.7%). Drinks (43.6%) were highly purchased processed products. The recognition (95.3%) and preferences (98.4%) for Changyeong local agricultural products were high at this festival. Subjects (72.5%) responded that public relations were effective for sale at this festival, and evaluation of the operation program for the festival was $3.51{\pm}0.74$ (total score 5 points). Satisfaction with the experience event (37.7%) and exhibition event (33.6%) were high at this festival program, whereas participants gave low rates for art exhibition and sale events of local agricultural products (16.2%), cooking education (14.7%), direct education program (12.9%), and games (12.1%). This festival was an effective means of public relations, although purchase effects were not significant. This result suggests that the festival is necessary for planning a program to increase purchasing.
The purpose of this study is to classify the types of local market knowledge and knowledge sources in reverse knowledge transfer and analyze their relevance. To do so, first, we searched for papers related to the types of local knowledge published in 9 international business academic journals between 1988 and 2020, and derived four types of local market knowledge. Second, in order to classify the source of knowledge, we searched for papers related to network types published in 9 international business academic journals between 1988 and 2020, and divided them into 4 types to derive characteristics. Third, by examining the types of local market knowledge that can be obtained according to network types, a conceptual model was developed between them, and the suitability between local market knowledge and sources of knowledge was revealed through empirical analysis. Through empirical research on what kind of knowledge can be obtained depending on the knowledge sources, various business and academic implications can be provided to many companies.

This paper studies the characteristics of the network of the Zhongguancun Cluster, the most representative innovative cluster of the high-tech industry in China at present. For this study, Zhongguancun Cluster was the first high-tech cluster created in China in 1988, the current Zhongguancun Cluster plays a leading role in the development of the high-tech industry in China. In addition, the Zhongguancun Cluster has attracted global attention and helped elevate China as a key region in terms of research development in relation to the high-tech industry. With regard to the spatial characteristics of the network belonging to the companies in Zhongguancun Cluster, purchase and producer services and information and R&D network have a strong tendency to be local, while on the other hand the product sales network has a strong tendency to be non-local. It is because the political support supplied by the government, institutional base that provides high-tech companies, producer services and information regarding producer services is relatively well prepared and managed in Zhongguancun Cluster. The spatial characteristics of the R&D network have a very strong local character is due to the location of the Zhongguancun Cluster where companies, universities and research centers with outstanding research development capacity as well as various support organizations for technology innovation within the cluster are included. On the other hand, because the high-tech products produced in this area are sold all across China as well as in foreign countries, the product sales network has a strong non-local character. Strengthening the local network in terms of the main agents of the cluster is the most important aspect in order to develop a certain industrial cluster into an innovative cluster. In this respect, if the Zhongguancun Cluster is seen from the perspective of a network, it has a basic network foundation. However, to strengthen international competitiveness, not only the local network but also the international network should be strengthened.
Purpose - As consumers' needs for purchasing fresh and safe food have been bigger in Korea, their interest in local food is also growing recently. So, the number of local food stores has been increased from 3 in 2012 to 103 in 2015. Local food stores should operate a business responding consumers' needs in order that local food stores are not to be a one-time fad. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of consumers who use a local food store and provide helpful implications to design a strategy for sustainable growth of local food store. Research design, data, and methodology - In this study, Probit model was used for empirical analysis in order to examine the effect of purchase choice attributes of agricultural products, consumer's satisfaction, and their demographic factors upon the intention to use a local food store. After estimating coefficients of the probit model, marginal effects were calculated as a standard normal, and cumulative distribution is differentiated with respect to explanatory variables. To collect the data, questionnaire survey was carried out with the consumers using the local food store (Youngjin Nonghyup near to Jeonju city located in Jeollabuk-do). Result - The data analysis found that the more consumers are satisfied with local food store, the higher intention they have to use the local food store. In addition, it was known that the factors related to quality of agricultural products and shopping convenience among the purchase choice attributes have a considerable impact on the purchase intention of a local food store. In demographic factors, income was turned out to be an important factor affecting purchase intention of local food. Such a result supports the hypothesis that high income consumers are likely to purchase local food, which is based on the inference that consumers who have a high income tend to pursue wellbeing life. Futhermore, information delivery, through a reputable media source among general factors, was known to play an important role in forming an intention to purchase local food. According to the analysis of marginal effects, probability of purchase intention of a local food store is increased by 11.4%, if a monthly average income of a household is above 4.5 million Won(Korean currency). If purchasing satisfaction with local food stores is high, the probability of purchase intention would be increased by 24.1%. Likewise, such a probability goes up by 8.7%, 5.8%, respectively as an increasing one unit of quality of agricultural products and shopping convenience of local food stores, respectively. Conclusion - For attaining sustainable growth in a local food store, it is considered necessarily to establish a proper store operation system to meet consumers' needs, especially for quality and shopping convenience of local food. Moreover, as it was found that appropriate communication through media source has a positive effect on the intention to use local food store, PR activity seems to be necessary to expand the consumers' demands for local foods.
This study analyzes the latest statistics for 3 years based on the traits of market environment, internal organization characteristics(the size and distribution of workforce), and financial structure, and then, investigates the interactivity traits and drawbacks between organization and market environment, among the local broadcast stations, and, among the type of work in the internal organization, by interviewing with broadcasters working at the local stations. Major findings of this studies are : at first, statistically, the conditions of local market environment, the size of local station workforce, financial structure are very poor. And, the interactivity among the local broadcast stations have so many difficulties because of a conflict of interest. So, for getting over a difficult situation at the local stations, in addition to planning to support local stations with various policies, government and local stations should seek for solution to overcome the conflict of interest jointly.
Objectives : Children who are users of local children's centers are mostly in the lower income brackets or raised by single parents or grandparents. Their parents are usually careless about them, or they are placed in tough environments. Specifically, they are unlikely to be taught at home to brush their teeth on a regular basis. The purpose of this study was to examine the oral health education experiences of teachers at local children's centers and the reality of oral health care provided by them to children, and to pave the way for the development of collaborative oral health education programs by local children's centers and local communities. Methods : The subjects in this study were teachers who worked at 158 local children's centers located in Gyeongnam Province. Each teacher was asked to fill out the given a questionnaire at the centers. The survey was conducted by phone or in person from February 26 to April 1, 2009. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS 15.0 program, and statistical data on frequency and percentage were acquired to find out the general characteristics of the teachers. And crosstabulation was utilized to look for connections between oral health education experiences and actual oral health care. Results : At the 158 local children's centers, 21 teachers had ever learned about oral health education to provide children with that, and 137 teachers hadn't. The local children's centers that the former worked for had more interest in dental caries, and those centers had children do toothbrushing more than the other centers at which the latter served. Conclusions : It seems that local children's centers and local communities should make concerted efforts to develop joint education programs.
