Loading/Unloading Decision System of Ship Block in the Shipyard (조선소 선박 블록 상.하차 판단 시스템)

  • It is an important element increasing ship production to manage an accurate position of transporters(TP) and ship blocks in a shipyard. However, most works are presently being performed by judgment of a system manager and skilled workers. This paper introduced about the system for tracking an accurate position of the transporters and the blocks which are main mobile objects in the shipyard, and proposed a method to decide whether or not a loading/unloading state of the blocks, which is one of the most important functions of the tracking system. Three sensors were used in order to implement the method. One is a RFID reader to identify a target block, another is a RFID reader to estimate a position of the TP as it recognizes a underground tag. The other is a ultrasonic sensor to detect an object. Two experiments were carried out in the shipyard. After correcting errors found on the first experiment. we confirmed that the result could be applied to the shipbuilding yard from the final experiment.

Marginal bone level changes in association with different vertical implant positions: a 3-year retrospective study

  • Purpose: To retrospectively evaluate the relationship between the vertical position of the implant-abutment interface and marginal bone loss over 3 years using radiological analysis. Methods: In total, 286 implant surfaces of 143 implants from 61 patients were analyzed. Panoramic radiographic images were taken immediately after implant installation and at 6, 12, and 36 months after loading. The implants were classified into 3 groups based on the vertical position of the implant-abutment interface: group A (above bone level), group B (at bone level), and group C (below bone level). The radiographs were analyzed by a single examiner. Results: Changes in marginal bone levels of $0.99{\pm}1.45$, $1.13{\pm}0.91$, and $1.76{\pm}0.78mm$ were observed at 36 months after loading in groups A, B, and C, respectively, and bone loss was significantly greater in group C than in groups A and B. Conclusions: The vertical position of the implant-abutment interface may affect marginal bone level change. Marginal bone loss was significantly greater in cases where the implantabutment interface was positioned below the marginal bone. Further long-term study is required to validate our results.

Critical Elastic Buckling Load Investigation of Aluminium Alloy A6082-T6 Square plate Subjected to Patch Loading (패치 로딩을 받는 알루미늄 합금 A6082-T6 사각형 판의 임계 탄성좌굴하중 검토)

  • In this paper, we examined the problem of the structural stability according to the patch load of a rectangular plate that reflects the material properties of A6082-T6 is used primarily for marine plant structure. it applied to the four patch loading shapes, the effect of aspect ratio, a boundary condition and calculated the critical elastic buckling load. Calculating the critical elastic buckling load, During the eigenvalue buckling analysis it is applied to the shell181 as 4 node shell element. when the plate subjected to patch loading compare to the plate under a uniform axial compression load, it is possible observed to occur the different elastic buckling behaviour and it could be confirmed that it is affected significantly on a variable position and type of loadings, such as the effect of the aspect ratio. Also, Critical elastic buckling load according to th patch loading type in simply supported rectangular plate a/b=1.0, ${\gamma}b$=200mm are calculated 67%(Loading type I), 119 %(Loading type II), 76 %(Loading type III), 160 %(Loading type IV), respectively. Loading type I and III could be determined with the strong elastic buckling behavior much more than Loading type II and IV.

The Model Test on Load Reduction Effect of Caps Foundation Method (캡스기초공법의 하중경감효과에 관한 모형시험)

  • The caps foundation method can reduce the load of a building by using the arching effect, but verification of the method is still insufficient. In this paper, a model test was performed to quantitatively prove the load reduction effect by this method. The test was carried out using six conditions according to the size of caps foundation block and the area of the loading plate. The test results show that the earth pressure was the highest at the position closest to the loading point regardless of the size of caps foundation block and the area of the loading plate. At the highest earth pressure position, when the loading plate area was 30 cm × 30 cm, the earth pressure of a small block was reduced by 35.4% on average, and that of a big block was reduced by 39.7% compared to the pressure with no block. When the loading plate area was 60 cm × 60 cm, the earth pressure of the small block was reduced by 33.9% on average, and the earth pressure of the big block was reduced by 42.7%. Therefore, if the caps foundation method is applied, the load will be reduced by more than 33% for a small block and 39% for a big block.

  • In general mechanical servo systems, friction deteriorates the performance of controllers by its nonlinear characteristics. Especially, friction phenomenon causes steady-state tracking errors and limit cycles in position and velocity control systems, even though gains of controllers are tuned well in linear system model. Even if sensor is used higher accuracy level, it is difficult to improve tracking performance of the position to the same level with a general control method such as PID type. Therefore, many friction models were proposed and compensation methods have been researched actively. In this paper, we consider that the variation of mover's mass is various by loading and unloading. The normal force variation occurs by it and other parameters. Therefore, the proposed control system is composed of main position controller and a friction compensator. A parameter estimator for a nonlinear friction model is designed by adaptive control law and adaptive backstopping control method.

  • For a pump or a compressor motor, a high periodic load torque variation is induced by the mechanical works, and it causes system vibration and noise. To minimize these problems, load torque compensation method, injecting periodic torque current, could be utilized. However, with the sensorless control method, which is usually utilized in the pump and compressor for low cost, the periodic torque current degrades the accuracy of the rotor position estimation owing to the inductance variation. This paper analyzes the rotor position and speed estimation error of sensorless control method with constant motor parameters under period loading. Assuming the constant speed by the accurate load torque compensation, the speed error equation is derived in frequency domain with inductance depending on the stator current. Further, it is also shown that the rotor position error could be minimized by compensating the inductance variation. The simulation and experimental results verify that the derived speed error model and the validity of the inductance compensation method.

Three-Dimensional Container Packing Problem with Freight Priority (우선순위를 고려한 컨테이너 3차원 적재문제)

  • In this paper, we propose a new heuristic solution for 3D container packing problem for the variable sizes and types of freight. Frist of all, we consider the total cost of container charge i.e., handling, loading and transportation, where each freight will be specifically identified The types of containers and its number to be loaded am be selected automatically by minimizing the total cost of container charge. Maximization of loading space am be achieved efficiently by operating the palletizing and/or depalletizing of freight. By considering these factors we can determine the position of freight in the container and the loading sequence to be packing into the container. In container packing simulation, we can verify that the proposed heuristic algorithm indicates more efficiency space utilization and shows the possibility of using on commercial business.

Effects of Rubber Loading on the Ultrasonic Backward Radiation Profile of Leaky Lamb Wave (고무 접합이 후방복사된 리키 램파 프로파일에 미치는 영향)

  • The characterization of adhesive property in multi-layer materials has been hot issue for a long time. In order to evaluate adhesive properties, we constructed fully automated system for the backward radiation of leaky Lamb wave. The backward radiation profiles were obtained for the bare steel plate and plates with rubber-loading. The rf waveforms and frequency spectra of backward radiation show the characteristics of involved leaky Lamb wave modes. As the thickness of rubber-loading increased, the amplitude of profile at the incident angle of $13.4^{\circ}$ exponentially decreased. Scanning the incident position over the partially rubber-loaded specimen shows good agreement with the actual rubber-loading. The backward radiation of leaky Lamb wave has great potential to evaluate the adhesive condition as well as material properties of plates.

  • In this paper, we designed the editing function size and position adjustment, hiding and displaying, style editing, edit by device type etc. for each device type so that contents can be dynamically converted according to resolution or screen size according to various devices. and to be able to respond to various devices by storing device information in a component created through editing function. To improve the viewer of the web application and to improve the processing speed of the server, a component using the lazy loading technique was designed. in this paper, responsive web functionality and improve server throunghput results show that the response function of the Web function and the improvement of the processing speed of the server are improved by the monitoring tool, and the processing speed is improved in most browsers.

An Optimal Algorithm for Weight Balancing in a 3D Mesh Architecture (3D 메쉬 구조에서 무게 균형을 위한 최적 알고리즘)

  • Vessels or aircraft should be loaded with containers or cargo to maintain weight balance in order to be stable when navigating the route. The container loading algorithm is known as the NP problem and several heuristic methods have been studied. Containers can be characterized by the uniform volume and weight, which makes it easier to find an optimal loading method. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for weight balance when the volume and weight of an object are uniform. It is assumed that the loading space has a special structure of m * n mesh (where m and n are both odd). In this case, we designed a greedy algorithm and proved that the algorithm is optimal in that it can always find a loading position that maintains a weight balance regardless of the number of objects. Our algorithm can be used in many engineering problems, such as loading algorithms and load balancing problems.
