Measurement and Analysis of Physical Environmental Load during Handling and Distribution of Domestic Fruits -Focused on Seongju Korean Melon

  • The proportion of agricultural products handled through the Agricultural Products Processing Center (APC) is also steadily increasing every year, and in the case of Seongju Korean melon, a total of 10 APCs of Nonghyup and farming association corporations are in operation, and the distribution ratio is about 60% based on total production. In this study, Seongju Korean melon was selected as a target to analyze the environment load during carrying (production farm ~ APC) in the production area and the transport environment load during distribution of domestic fruits, and to analyze the environmental load for handling at APC. The vertical average vibration intensity (overall Grms of 1~250 Hz) of truck transport measured at three transport routes from Seongju Korean melon producer ~ APC, Seongju ~ Seoul and Seongju ~ Jeju was about three times larger than that in the lateral direction and 4.5 times larger than that in the longitudinal direction, respectively. The frequency of occurrence of high-amplitude events (G) in the vertical direction compared to the measuring time was deeply related to pavement conditions in the order of unpaved farm-roads, concretepaved farm-roads, and asphalt-paved main-roads, but overall Grms for the entire frequency band is believed to have a greater impact on vehicle traveling speed than road conditions. On the other hand, the difference in the size and direction of the vibration intensity measured by the forklift truck's main-body and the attachment (fork carrier) during handling at Seongju Korean melon APC was clear, and the vibration intensity of the forklift truck's main-body was largely affected by the stiffness of the fork and the mast according to the handling weight. Based on the field-data of the transport environment during domestic distribution measured through this study, it is believed that it is possible to develop a lab-based simulation protocol for appropriate packaging design.

다층지반에 관입된 강성말뚝의 수평 거동 및 수평 지지력 특성 (The Behavior and Capacity of Lateral Loaded Rigid Pile Characteristics in Multi-layered Soil Conditions)

  • 본 연구에서는 다층지반에 관입된 현장타설말뚝 중 강성말뚝을 대상으로 다층지반의 조건에 따른 말뚝의 수평지지력과 수평거동에 대하여 실험적 분석을 실시하였다. 이를 위해 말뚝이 근입되는 지반에 상이한 상대밀도를 갖는 지반층을 구성하였으며, 수평하중-변위량 곡선을 통하여 극한수평지지력을 산정하고 기존의 방법을 적용시켜 산정된 극한수평지지력과 비교하였다. 또한, 말뚝에 부착된 스트레인게이지와 토압센서를 이용하여 다층지반에서의 말뚝의 수평거동에서 발생하는 휨모멘트분포와 극한단위수평지지력분포를 확인하였다. 수평재하시험결과 말뚝의 극한수평지지력은 지반의 상대밀도와 지반층의 구성에 따라 달라지며, 단일지반을 대상으로 제안된 다양한 방법으로 예측된 값에 비하여 상당부분 적게 측정되는 것으로 나타났다. 말뚝의 침모멘트 분포는 다층지반의 조건에 상관없이 유사한 분포 형상을 보였으며, 극한단위수평지지력 분포 형태는 최상층지반과 중간층지반이 동일하고 최하층지반이 상이한 지반에서 다소 달라지는 분포형상을 보였으나, 다른경우에 있어서는 기본적으로 Prasad and Chari(1999)의 극한단위수평지지력 분포형상과 유사한 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 연구에서는 다층지반에서 수평하중을 받는 말뚝을 대상으로 콘관입치를 이용하여 극한수평지지력을 산정하였으며, 다층지반조건을 고려할 수 있는 토압분포 형태를 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 각 층의 상대밀도를 달리한 12개의 다층지반을 조성하여 각 지반에 대해 콘관입시험 및 수평말뚝재하시험을 수행하였으며, 각각의 다층지반조건에 대한 극한수평지지력을 비교, 분석하였다. 극한수평지지력 산정은 Broms(1964), Petrasovits & Award(1972), Prasad & Ch뼈(1999)가 제안한 방법을 기준으로 하였으며, Prasad & Chari(1999)의 방법에 대해서는 다층지반 조건을 고려하기 위한 수정된 토압분포형상을 적용하였다. 본 연구 결과, 다층지반 조건을 고려한 제안 방법이, 기존의 단일지반에 적용했던 토압분포 형상을 이용하는 방법보다 향상된 정밀도를 보여 주였다. 극한수평지지력 분포형상에 있어서도 Broms(1964), Petrasovits & Award(1972)의 방법으로 산정한 극한수평지지력과 유사한 분포를 보였다.

노상토의 지지력 평가를 위한 다짐평가기법의 상관성 분석 (Analysis of Correlation among Various Compaction Evaluation Methods for Estimating of the Bearing Capacity on Subgrades)

  • 국내에서의 도로 하부지반의 품질 관리는 주로 하중 지지력을 확인하는 평판재하시험과 상대 다짐도를 구하기 위한 현장들밀도시험을 이용하고 있으나, 최근에는 현장 여건에 맞는 적합성과 경제성, 신속성 등을 고려한 동적 콘 관입 시험과 동평판재하시험 등의 이용이 증가하는 상황이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이러한 여러 다짐평가기법간의 상관성을 분석하기 위하여 실제 도로공사현장 3개소에서 노상두께 20cm, 30cm, 40cm에 대한 평판재하시험, 현장들밀도시험, 동적 콘 관입시험, 동평판재하시험을 이용하여 노상토의 지지력을 평가하였다. 또한, 각각의 다짐평가기법간의 결과를 비교 분석하여, 향후 활용법에 대하여 살펴보았다.

  • Acoustic vibration analysis has been performed using random vibration analysis module of MSC/NASTRAN to evaluate the safety of the composite satellite antenna structure under the acoustic pressure from the launch vehicle. It was found that maximum $3\sigma$ stress by acoustic excitation was less than allowable stress.

  • This paper proposes a systematic design method for axial(or thrust) magnetic bearings using optimal design methodology. The objective of the optimal design is to minimize bearing volume. The constraints include the bearing load capacity, linearized bearing stiffness and damping, the magnetic flux density, and geometric relations. In order to obtain design values which can be applied to fabrication of bearings, branch and bound method was introduced in the postprocessing procedure of optimal design results. Verification of the proposed design methodology was perfomed by an example.

  • Recently in abroad, structural synthetic fiber developed, has been studied extensively as a substitute for steel fiber due to its properties such as corrosion-resistance, low density, good pumping, and in-place safety, etc. In this study, we conducted pull-out test, for seven different geometries of structural synthetic fibers and obtained optimum geometry for structural synthetic fiber which fully utilizes matrix anchoring without revealing fiber fracturing. According to pull-out test results, it was found that crimped type structural synthetic fiber give significant improvement in the interface toughness(roll-out enemy) and pull-out load.

  • Using an efficient adjoint variable method, we develop a unified design sensitivity analysis (DSA) method considering both steady state nonlinear heat conduction and geometrical nonlinear elasticity problems. Design sensitivity expressions with respect to thermal conductivity and Young's modulus are derived. Beside the temperature and displacement adjoint equations, another coupled one is defined regarding the obtained adjoint displacement field as the adjoint load in temperature field. The developed DSA method is shown to be very efficient and further extended to a topology design optimization method for the nonlinear weakly coupled thermo-elasticity problems using a density approach.

  • In this paper, a numerical method for vehicle-track interaction analysis is developed to evaluate vertical dynamic force subjected to rail surface. A vehicle is modelled by lumped masses system and track by multi layered continuous beam system. The equation of motion of vehicle and track interaction system is derived by considering compatibility condition at the contact points between wheel and rail. The input vibration source is given by the empirical formula of power spectral density of track irregularity, which is suggested by FRA. Using this method, dynamic impact factors with the train speed are evaluated.

  • UDN is expected to be a type of network capable of satisfying the requirements various 5G services, such as the peak data rate, connection density, and area traffic capacity. Technical challenges for 5G UDN, such as interference management, resource management, mobility management, load balancing, and energy efficiency are discussed. In addition, candidate technologies for solving these challenges, and their related standardization trends, are summarized in this article.
