6-[4-(4'-(니트로페닐아조)펜옥시카보닐)]펜타노화 다당류들의 합성과 열방성 액정 거동 (Synthesis and Thermotropic Liquid Crystalline Behaviors of 6-[4-(4'-(nitrophenylazo) phenoxycarbonyl)] pentanoated Polysaccharides)

  • 셀룰로오스 아밀로오스 키토산, 키틴, 알긴산, 풀루란 또는 아밀로펙틴을 6- [4- (4'- (니트로페닐아조)펜옥시)]펜타노일 클로라이드(NA6C)와 반응시켜 전치환 또는 거의 전치환 6- [4- (4'- (니트로페닐아조)펜옥시카보닐)] 펜타노화 다당류 유도체들을 합성함과 동시에 이들의 열방성 액정의 거동들을 검토하였다. NA6C의 경우와 같이, 모든 다당류 유도체들은 단방성 네마틱 상들을 형성하였다. 이러한 사실은 다당류 유도체들의 액정 구조는 다당류 골격에 의해 결정되는 것이 아니고 mesogenic 곁사슬 그룹들에 의해 결정됨을 시사한다. 이것이 셀룰로오스 유도체들을 제외한 다당류 유도체들이 열방성 네마틱 상을 형성한다고 하는 최초의 보고이다. 다당류 유도체들에 있어서 관찰되는 네마틱 상들의 열적 안정성과 질서도는 아조벤젠 그룹들을 유연한 스페이서를 통하여 유연한 혹은 강직한 골격들에 도입시켜 얻은 고분자들에 대해 보고된 결과들과 현저히 다르다. 이들의 결과를 주사슬과 곁사슬의 배열 그리고 주사슬의 유연성의 차이와 관련하에서 검토하였다.

액정 폴리에스테르와 폴리(에틸렌 테레프탈레이트)의 복합재료 연구 (On the Composites of Poly(ethylene terephthalate) with a Liquid Crystalline Polyester)

  • 열방성 액정고분자(TLCP)와 폴리(에틸렌 테레프탈레이트)를 혼합용매 중에서 블렌딩하였으며, 이들 블렌드는 capillary rheometer die를 통하여 $287^{\circ}C$에서 섬유상 압출물로 가공되었다. 블렌드와 제조된 복합재료의 열적 성질, 기계적 성질, 모폴로지는 DSC, 편광현미경, SEM 및 인장시험에 의하여 조사되었다. 블렌드의 결정화 동력학은 등온 DSC 방법에 의하여 측정된 데이타로부터 Avrami식을 이용하여 결정화 속도 및 결정성장 메카니즘에 대한 정보를 얻었다. 블렌드내의 액정상은 가공온도조건하에서 거대상분킥나 열분해현상을 보이지 않았으며, 액체질소 속에서 절단된 섬유 단면의 SEM 관찰에 의하면, 섬유내 TLCP domain은 $0.1{\mu}m$에서 $0.2{\mu}m$정도의 크기로 분산되었고, 두 상 계면에서의 접착은 잘 되어있음을 알 수 있었다. TLCP/PET in-situ 섬유상 복합재료의 인장강도와 모듈러스는 TLCP 함량이 많을수록, draw ratio가 높을수록 증가됨을 알 수 있었다.

The preparation of skin analogue composition having the liquid crystalline structure and its cosmetic applications

  • Recently, many cosmetic researchers have been focused on the development of high functional cosmetics including anti-wrinkle and whitening. In these studies, they couldn't afford to pay a deep attention to stable encapsulations for unstable materials and efficient drug deliveries for them. Particularly, in order to show a degree of instant effects as cosmetics, they can't also ignore moisturizing effect enough to satisfy customers just after applying and its maintenance by improving the function of skin barrier as well as above two effects. Therefore, skin analogue systems have attracted considerable attention in the view of structural and compositional similarity to intercellular membrane in stratum corneum. And, some models for skin analogue composition were developed to improve the function of skin barrier, stably encapsulate unstable materials such as retinol, vitamin B, C, E, etc., and control their skin penetration in order to show good effects as cosmetics. In this study, we suggest the new skin analogue model having the compositional similarity as well as conventional structural ones. Our skin analogue membrane(SAM) is mainly composed of ceramide/ cholesterol/phosphatidylcholin/fatty acids and its structural defects are compensated by including cholesterol amphiphile and controlling the ratio of ceramide/cholesterol. It was possible to confirm the formation of skin analogue membrane having highly-densed multilamella structure and compare them according to the change of each ratio with a polarized microscope, X-ray diffraction. More detaily, we observed their structures with a electron microscope(TEM). Finally, we dispersed them in excess of continuous water phase, observed the formation of maltese-cross liquid crystalline and measured the efficiency of drug deliveries and moisturizing effects.

인지질/세라마이드 혼합물의 상호적 자가회합 특성을 활용한 수화 액정형 베시클 제조 (Preparation of Hydrated Liquid Crystalline Vesicle Using Mutual Self-Association between Ceramide and Phospholipid)

  • 인지질과 세라마이드 간 상호적 자가회합 특성을 활용하여 수화 액정형 베시클 제조를 시도하였다. 인지질과 세라마이드의 혼합지질에 에지 액티베이터를 첨가하면 난용성의 세라마이드를 고 함량으로 함유하는 베시클 제조가 가능하였다. 본 연구에서는 인지질, 세라마이드, 에지 액티베이터의 혼합 조성에 따른 수화 액정상의 구조적, 열적 특성 등의 변화를 관측하고, 혼합 조성을 달리하여 만든 베시클의 입자크기 및 베시클 분산액의 안정성을 비교하였다. 실험 결과, 인지질과 세라마이드 간 혼합에서 세라마이드 비율을 최대 70%까지 늘려서, 베시클 분산액 전체 대비 세라마이드를 3.5 wt% 함유되는 제형을 제조할 수 있었다.

액상환원침전법 및 수열반응법을 이용한 주석산화물 결정 합성에 관한 연구 (A study on the synthesis of tin oxide crystalline by the liquid reduction precipitation method and hydrothermal process)

  • 본 연구에서는 염화주석, 하이드라진 그리고 수산화나트륨을 원료로 하여 용액환원침전법과 수열반응법을 이용하여 주석산화물 결정을 제조하여, 주요 실험 변수에 의한 결정상 및 형상을 XRD와 SEM을 이용하여 분석하였다. 원료의 몰 비에 따라 구형 및 판상의 주석산화물 결정을 얻을 수 있었으며, 그 결정상은 SnO, $Sn_6O_4(OH)_4$이었다. 그리고 수열반응법에 의하여 얻어진 결정 모양은 온도 조건에 따라 판상 및 꽃 모양의 SnO 결정이 얻어졌다.

소수성 플라보노이드인 루테올린을 함유한 Ethosome의 제조 및 특성조사 (Preparation and Characterization of Ethosome Containing Hydrophobic Flavonoid Luteolin)

  • 소수성 플라보노이드인 루테올린의 안정성을 향상시키고 또한 의약이나 화장품 분야에 널리 활용하기 위해서 ethosome에 루테올린 포집을 시도하였다. 편광현미경과 열분석기인 DSC 등을 사용하여 액정의 형성과정이나 열적 특성 등을 관찰하였다. 에탄올에 용해된 레시틴 혼합물에 PBS 완충용액 첨가에 따른 W/O에서 W/O/W로의 상 전환 시점은 전도도 변화로 관측될 수 있었다. Ethosome을 구성하는 성분 및 조성에 따라 입자크기가 달라지는데 레시틴에 루테올린을 10% 정도 혼합하여도 입자크기에 별 영향이 없었다. 루테올린이 ethosome에 포집되었을 때 안정성이 향상되는 효과를 DPPH 실험을 통해 확인하였다. Ethosome의 안정화 효능은 토코페롤 첨가에 의해 더욱 향상되었다.

  • We have studied the stability of W/O high internal phase emulsions(HIPE) containing water, cetyl dimethicone copolyol and oils varying magnesium sulfate in the range 0 to 0.5 wt% and oil polarities, respectively. The rheological consistency was mainly destroyed by the coalescence of the deformed water droplets. The greater the increase of complex modulus was, the less coalescence occurred and the more consistent the concentrated emulsions were. The increasing pattern of complex modulus versus volume fraction has been explained with the resistance to coalescence of the deformed interfacial film of water droplets in concentrated W/O emulsion. The stability is dependent on: (i) the choice of the oil is important, the requirements coincide with the requirements for the formation of the rigid liquid crystalline phases; and (ii) addition of salts the aqueous phase opposes the instability due to coalescence. Increasing the salt concentration increases the refractive index of the aqueous phase. It lowers the difference in the refractive index between the oil and aqueous phases. This decreases the attraction between the water domains, thus increasing the stability.

반응결합법에 의한 TiC-Ni/Al 복합체의 미세구조 및 기계적 특성 (Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of TiC-Ni/Al Composites by the Reaction-Bonding Method)

  • The TiC-Ni/Al reaction-bonding composites were prepared by the infiltration of Ni/Al melt into the TiC preforms. The microstructure the reaction composition crystalline phase and the mechanical properties of the composites were investigated. During the reaction-bonding Ni/Al mixture had a good wettability and per-meability with TiC preform and pore-free and fully dense sintered bodies were produced. In the case of the Ni/Al atomic ratio of 0.3 and 0.5 TiC raw particle shape was changed to irregular particles because of the decomposition in the liquid matrix and its phenomena was more distinguished in the Al-rich liquid matrix. With increasing more than 1 of the Ni/Al atomic ratio the sample of TiC grain shape was changed from spherical to palatelet particles. Also with increasing the atomic ratio of Ni/Al bending strength and fracture spherical to palatelet particles. Also with increasing the atomic ratio of Ni/Al bending strength and fracture toughness were increased and its maximum value was 1073 MPa and 11 MPa.m1/2 respectively.

Synthesis of Thermotropic Polyurethanes Containing Imide Units and Their Mesophase Behavior

  • Thermotropic polyurethanes were synthesized from 1,6-hexane diisocyanate (HDI) as a diisocyanate, 1,6-hexane diol (HD), and rigid diols containing imide unit such as N,N'-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,4,3',4'-biphenyl-dicarboxyimide (BPDI) or bis-N-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4,4'-oxydiphthalimide (ODPI). The effects of structure difference between BPDI and ODPI and composition of HD/BPDl (ODPI) on the thermal and liquid crystalline behavior were studied. Thermotropic polyurethanes with an inherent viscosity of 0.59~0.70 were obtained. The melting temperature of BPDI-based polyurethanes were in the range of 150~$290^{\circ}C$, however, those of ODPI-based polyurethanes were in the range of 150~$190^{\circ}C$. All the polyurethanes based on ODPI (25~100 mole %) clearly exhibited a stable liquid crystalline phase, and BPDI-based polyurethane having 5-25% of BPDT showed a mesophase. The melting and isotropization temperatures ($T_m$, $T_i$) and ΔT($T_i$ - $T_m$) increased with increasing BPDI and ODPI content. The polyurethanes based on BPDI has higher melting points and thermal stability compared to ODPI-based polyurethanes.
