  • This paper has been proposed about the efficient ACL data transmission method by link quality for Bluetooth. By tile host tile HCI command confirm tile link quality values and change the packet type into several environment. And then we can analyze the data rate through this. From the construed result, after the suitable ACL packet type had been selected, the efficient data transmission method was proposed.

  • Human generally uses three methods to keep balance. One of them is using reactive momentum such as swing an upper body or arms. In this study, we proposed a balancing controller for the reactive momentum method using an inverted pendulum. We simplified a human or a humanoid robot as a two-link inverted pendulum having two edges. In addition, we proposed a distinctive condition for controller transition. If a human is pushed, he has to change a balancing controller from using an ankle torque to using a reactive momentum or changing foot placement. When the balancing controller is changed from using an ankle torque to using a reactive momentum, it is required a proper timing to keep a stability and make smooth movement. In the experiment, the proposed controller and distinctive condition were verified.

Dynamic Adjustment of Hello and Hold Timer in AODV Routing Protocol

  • Ad hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) protocol and its variants employ two important timers, hello and hold timer to keep track of topology changes. Moreover, hold timer is computed by multiplying constant value to hello timer. But, this configuration leads to inaccurate settings of hold timer. To solve this problem, in this paper, we propose a new dynamic adjustment of hello and hold timer scheme by removing dependency between them. A new metric to measure mobility is applied into hello timer, while expected link lifetime does holder timer. Simulation results show a significant reduction in the number of messages, a fact suggesting that it is possible to maintain and in some cases improve the performance of AODV with a minimum amount of messages released into the network.

선박/해양플랜트용 FD FAN의 기어식 베인 댐퍼 성능 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance Improvement of Gear Type Vane Damper in Marine/Offshore FD Fan)

  • In this study, we developed a gear-type vane damper which replaces the link type through a proper gear design by means of a finite element analysis. We analyzed the fluid flow according to the amount of angular displacement. torque and backlash problems were addressed in conjunction with the pinion as a structural improvement of the forced draft fan (FD FAN). Through an environmental test. Also, results nearly identical to those in the test could be drawn when using a numerical method. Finally, we compared the gear driving result with simulation results. objective of the present study is to identify a nonlinear flow rate control method for a gear-type vane damper and to propose a damper shape which offers linear flow rate control. This study is related to the development of a gear-type vane damper of the change-link type in a forced draft fan.

  • In this study, we developed the gear type vane damper replacing the link type through gear design using Finite Element Analysis(FEA). FEA about the pinion and the vane shaft in the boss of gear type damper for quality improvement was accomplished. We analyzed fluid flow according to angular displacement. Catched the problem of the torque and backlash bring to the pinion as structure improvement of the forced draft fan(FD FAN). Finally, we compared the gear driving result with simulation. It is the objective of the present study to identify a nonlinear flow rate control of gear type vane damper and to suggest a damper shape with a linear flow rate control. This study is related to the development of gear type vane damper change link type in forced draft fan.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크에서 효율적 데이터 전송을 위해서는 라우팅 프로토콜의 선택이 중요하다. AODV 라우팅 프로토콜은 소스 노드에서 목적지 노드까지의 홉 수가 가장 적은 경로를 선택하는 알고리즘으로 동작 원리가 단순한 반면, 홉수 외에는 다른 어떠한 것도 고려를 하지 않기 때문에 QoS 제공에는 적합하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 점을 보완하기 위해 각 링크의 전송 성공률을 고려한 AODV 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 전송 성공률을 홉 수에 반영함으로써 기존의 AODV 알고리즘을 크게 변경시키지 않고 효율적으로 QoS 제공할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 TCP와 병목 링크(bottleneck link)를 공유하는 MPTCP(Multipath TCP)의 성능을 실험을 통해서 측정하고 결과를 제시하였다. 실험을 통해서 MPTCP의 공정성(fairness)과 성능은 지연, 패킷 손실 등과 같은 전체 네트워크의 조건에 크게 영향을 받는다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이상적인 일반적인 네트워크 조건에서 MPTCP는 TCP보다 상대적으로 성능이 높아서 TCP와 불공정(unfair) 하지만, 네트워크의 지연이 증가하고 패킷 손실이 증가함에 따라 처리율(throughput)이 감소하며 TCP보다도 처리율이 감소하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

프레임을 유연체로 고려한 대형트럭 컴퓨터 모델의 개발 (Development of a Computer Model of a Large-sized Truck Considering the Frame as a Flexible Body)

  • This paper develops a computer model for estimating the handling of a cabover type large-sized truck. The truck is composed of front and rear suspension systems, a frame, a cab, and ten tires. The computer model is developed using ADAMS. A shock absorber, a rubber bush, and a leaf spring aunt a lot on the dynamic characteristic of the vehicle. Their stiffness and damping coefficient are measured and used as input data of the computer model. Leaf springs in the front and rear suspension systems are modeled by dividing them three links and joining them with joints. To improve the reliability of the developed computer model, the frame is considered as a flexible body. Thus, the frame is modeled by finite elements using MSC/PATRAN. A mode analysis is performed with the frame model using MSC/NASTRAN in order to link the frame model to the computer model. To verify the reliability of the developed computer model, a double lane change test is performed with an actual vehicle. In the double lane change, lateral acceleration, yaw rate, and roll angle are measured. Those test results are compared with the simulation results.

무선 USB 시스템에서 신뢰성과 연결성 향상을 위한 자원 관리 기법 (Resource Management Scheme for Improvement of Reliability and Connectivity in wireless USB System)

  • 본 논문에서는 무선 USB 시스템에서 신뢰성과 연결성을 향상하기 위한 기법을 제안하였다. 무선USB 프로토콜은 고속의 전송속도를 지원하기 때문에, 실시간 멀티미디어 서비스 제공과 같은 응용분야에 적합하다. 하지만, 디바이스의 이동은 네트워크 토폴로지와 디바이스간 링크 상태의 급격한 변화를 야기하며, 네트워크의 성능 저하의 원인이 되기도 한다. 특히 사람의 이동이 빈번한 선박 네트워크 환경에서는 디바이스의 이동성이 더 심해진다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 무선 USB 표준에서 무선 채널의 상태 변화를 적절하게 대처하지 못하여 발생하는 네트워크 성능 저하 문제를 해결하는 릴레이 통신을 위한 자원 관리 기법을 제안하여 성능을 분석하였다.

Studies on the Darkness of the Face Skin by the influence of External Environments

  • The facial color is affected by age increase, health condition, internal and/or external environment factors and so on. Especially, the external environment factors in accordance with the influence of environment pollution that is air pollution, exert a bad influence of skin. The object of this study shall be quantified the facial color change in accordance with age increase, external environment factors. Therefore we have make the measurement about the facial color change of Korean women by regional groups. We've quantified through correlation equation, the rate of the many external environment factors which influence the facial color change (air pollution, climate condition, season etc.) As the result of the study, we have reach to know that CO, $O_3$, $NO_2$ has high relation with hue, value, chrome change. The facial color change is proved to be influenced atmospheric environment condition. Besides in hue and value in relation with meteorology demonstrates its link with the temperature, the evaporation quantity, the duration of sunshine of each region. Therefore we have instill cognition of the environmental pollution in accordance with external environment factor that was quantified. And we have reach to know this study affects cosmetics development of new concept.
