Streamlined Rotors Mini Rotorcraft : Trajectory Generation and Tracking

  • We present in this paper the stabilization (tracking) with motion planning of the six independent configurations of a mini unmanned areal vehicle equipped with four streamlined rotors. Naturally, the yaw-dynamic can be stabilized without difficulties and independently of other motions. The remaining dynamics are linearly approximated around a small roll and pitch angles. It will be shown that the system presents a flat output that is likely to be useful in the motion generation problem. The tracking feedback controller is based on receding horizon point to point steering. The resulting controller involves the lift (collective) time derivative for what flatness and feedback linearization are used. Simulation tests are performed to progress in a region with approximatively ten-meter-buildings.

피치제어형 풍력발전시스템의 속도제어 (Speed Control of a Wind Turbine System Based on Pitch Control)

  • The paper presents a speed control algorithm for a full pitch-controlled wind turbine system. Torque of a blade generated by wind energy is a nonlinear function of wind speed, angular velocity, and pitch angle of the blade. The design of the controller, in general, is performed by linearizing the torque in the vicinity of the operating point assuming the angular velocity of the blade is constant. For speed control, however the angular velocity is on longer a constant, so that linearization of the torque in terms of wind speed and pitch angle is impossible. In this study, a reference pitch model is derived in terms of a wind speed, angular velocity, and pitch angle, which makes it possible to design a controller without linearizing the nonlinear torque model of the blade. This paper also suggests a method of designing a hydraulic control system for changing the pitch angle of the blade.

  • We propose a robust adaptive fuzzy controller for the transient stability and voltage regulation of a single-machine inflnite bus power system. The proposed control scheme is based on the input-output linearization to eliminate the system nonlinearities. To deal with uncertainties due to a parameter variation or a fault, we introduce fuzzy systems with universal function approximating capability which estimate the uncertainties on-line.

  • In order to operate SI(Spark Ignition) engine at the optimal fuel efficiency, it is necessary to use continuously variable transmission(CVT) which has more excellent fuel consumption property than transmissions of gear box types commonly used. This study introduces new type of nonlinear control approach to control precisely CVT including nonlinear characteristics. The nonlinear controller is basically composed of input-state feedback linearization, which can cancel the nonlinearities included in CVT on specific controllable area, and sliding-mode control. In this paper, good control performance of contrtol system with the nonlinear controller is confirmed with computer simulations.

  • Development of a model predictive control(MPC) algorithm and its application to the condensate recycle process of a cogeneration power station has been conducted. The cogeneration power station has different characteristics from other industrial processes where MPC has been dominantly applied in that the operating mode changes continuously with seasons and we Ether. Such a characteristic makes it difficulty, a linearized model was derived from mass and pressure balances and linearization. The MPC algorithm has been developed so that the controller tuning is easy with one tuning knob for each output and the constrained optimization is solved by an interior point method. Performance of the MPC algorithm has been verified with the numerically simulated process under various disturbance scenarios and mode changes.

  • Some results and a nonlinear controller are proposed for feedback linearizable SISO systems with unknown constant parameters. It is shown that the systems which satisfy the proposed conditions can be transformed into a controllable linear subsystem with unknown parameter and it can be stabilized using the high gain nonlinear feedback linearizing controller. As an example for the proposed theorem, we introduce the single link robot with joint flexibility which is an well known example.

  • A necessary and suficient conditions is proposed for feedback linearizable SISO systems with unknown constant parameters. It is shown that the systems which satisfy the proposed conditions can be transformed into a controllable linear system with unknown parameter and it can be stabilized using the nonlinear feedback linearizing controller. We also present the analysis and implementation of a nonlinear feedback linearizing control for an Electro-Magnetic Suspension (EMS) system. We show that an EMS system is nonlinear feedback linearizable and satisfies the proposed conditions, and hence that the proposed nonlinear feedback controller for an EMS system is robust against mass parameter perturbation and force disturbance.

스위칭 제어 기법을 이용한 볼-빔 시스템의 제어 (Control of a Ball and Beam System using Switching Control Method)

  • We propose a switching control scheme for the control of a ball and beam system. It was reported in [4] that a ball and beam system is a nonlinear system which has an ill-defined relative degree. So, the traditional control approaches have been mostly either Jacobian-based control or approximate input-output linearized control in nature. In this paper, motivated by [7], we combine these two traditional control approaches and operate each controller via a pre-designed switching logic so that the improved control result can be obtained without any excessive use of control input. Switching algorithm is developed based on both analysis and actual experimental observation. We verify the effectiveness of our proposed controller via actual experimental results.

  • 항공전자 장비들의 급속한 발전으로 인해 무인항공기의 크기가 소형화 되고 있으나, 무인항공기에 대해 주어지는 임무는 더욱 정확하고 복잡해지고 있다. 정지비행이 가능하고, 간단한 기계적 메커니즘을 가진 쿼드로터는 이 같은 환경에서 활동도가 점차 증가하고 있다. 그러나 쿼드로터는 구조 특성에 따라 출력의 개수보다 입력의 개수가 작은 under actuated 시스템이므로, 쿼드로터 제어에 큰 제약이 따른다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 쿼드로터의 단점을 해결하기 위해서 4개의 원동기 외에 2개의 추가적인 원동기를 더 부착한 모델을 제안하여, 입력의 개수와 출력의 개수가 같은 fully actuated 시스템을 구현하도록 한다. 제안한 쿼드로터 모델의 제어기를 설계하기 위해 궤환선형화 기법을 적용하였다. 수치 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 제안한 모델과 설계된 제어기의 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기 (SRM)의 히스테리시스 및 PI 전류제어기법의 응답특성에 관해 고찰하였다. SRM의 전류제어를 위해 가장 널리 적용되는 히스테리시스 제어기법은 전류응답특성이 빠르다는 장점이 있으나, 스위칭 주파수의 가변으로 인한 소음이 단점으로 알려져 있다. SRM의 전류제어를 위해 적용되는 다른 전류 제어기법으로는 PI 전류제어기법이 있으나, 비선형적인 특성으로 인해 일반적인 전동기 제어시스템과 같이 몇몇 고정된 변수들로 제어기를 설계하기가 용이하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 제한된 범위 내에서 전동기가 구동된다는 가정하에 선형화를 통한 PI 전류제어기를 설계하였다. 1마력 SRM을 적용하여 전류제어 및 속도제어 실험을 수행하였으며, 실험을 통해 얻어진 데이터는 적용 용도에 적합한 전류제어기법 선정을 위한 참고자료가 될 것으로 사료된다.
