  • Ultra-high voltage transformer industry has characteristic of small quantity batch production system by other order processing unlike general mass production systems. In this industry, observance of time deadline is very important in market competitive power security and company continued existence. The transformer winding is a process that rolls a coil is coated with an electric insulation material in order to generate the required voltage using the voltage fluctuation. The winding process is very important production process in the extra-high voltage transformer manufacturing industry because winding process is core process that occupy weight about half of whole process and is process that decide current ratio of transformer. This paper proposes a statistical calculation and control method of planned leadtime on the basis of real data and informations for the A company in transformer winding process. Moreover, we develop unit process scheduling system.

  • A stable neural network control scheme for unknown non-linear systems is developed in this paper. While the control variable is optimised to minimize the performance index, convergence of the index is guaranteed asymptotically stable by a Lyapnov control law. The optimization is achieved using a gradient descent searching algorithm and is consequently slow. A fast convergence algorithm using an adaptive learning rate is employed to speed up the convergence. Application of the stable control to a single input single output (SISO) non-linear system is simulated. The satisfactory control performance is obtained.

  • We prove a functional central limit theorem for a linear random field generated by negatively associated multi-dimensional random variables. Under finite second moment condition we extend the result in Kim, Ko and Choi[Kim,T.S, Ko,M.H and Choi, Y.K.,2008. The invariance principle for linear multi-parameter stochastic processes generated by associated fields. Statist. Probab. Lett. 78, 3298-3303] to the negatively associated case.

  • This paper presents operating process and design method on the linear compressor Stirling cryocooler for cooling infrared detector. The free piston-type Stirling cryocooler, which applies 1) the Stirling cycle for refrigeration, 2) linear motors for driving, 3) flexure bearings for support systems, and 4) fine gap for clearance seals, is the most suitable design for a mechanical cryocooler utilized in a night vision environment.

  • To fulfill recent requirements for high quality products in steel rolling process, fast responding and easily tunab control system is required and ILQ(Inverse Linear Quadratic) control system may be one of such alternatives. In this paper characteristics of ILQ control and its application to BUR(Back-Up-Roll) eccentricity in strip rolling mill is discussed and compared to polynomial control approaches. Also the rolling mill model and basic principle to control thickness of srip are introduced with control effect by polynomial methods.

  • The purpose of this study is to search the effective teaching-learning program by considering how affect on formation of the process-object perspective of linear function using Excel. In this study we analyzed function units in textbook and examined how Excel affect on the formation of the process-object perspective of linear function. Teaching experiment was based on qualitative case study and performed for five classes with five 8th graders. Data were gathered through observations, audio-taped interviews, video recording of the students 'work, students' worksheets, and detailed field notes. Findings indicate that exploration learning environment using Excel could supplement paper-and-pencil environment. We found that intuitive, dynamic, explorative, feedback skills via Excel can play the role of scaffolding supporting formation of process perspective object perspective of linear function.

  • To satisfy the requirement of the one axis linear positioning system, which is following control of the desired trajectory without following error and is the high positioning accuracy, feed-forward loop having cogging force model is proposed. In the one axis linear positioning system with linear PM motor, cogging force acting as disturbance is modeled analytically. Analytic model of cogging force is verified by result measured from positioning system constructed with linear PM motor. Measured result is very similar with proposed analytic model. Cogging force model is used as feet forward loop in control scheme of linear positioning system. Cogging force feed-forward'loop is obtained from analytic model of cogging farce. Trajectory following error is reduced from 300nm to 100nm by applying the proposed cogging farce feed-forward loop. By using analytic model of cogging force, the control scheme is simplified. Also this analytic model is applicable to calculation of characteristic value of positioning system in design process.

  • Linear motor has been considered to be the most suitable electric machine for linear control with high speed and high precision. Thrust of linear motor is one of the important factors to specify motor performance. Maximum thrust can be obtained by increasing the magnitude of current in conductor and is relative to the sizes of conductor and magnet. However, the magnitude of current and the size of conductor have an effect on temperature of linear motor. Therefore, it is practically important to find optimum design that can effectively maximize thrust of linear motor within limited range of temperature. Finite element analysis was applied to calculate thrust and numerical solutions were compared with experiments. The temperature of the conductor was calculated from the experimentally determined thermal resistance. The ADPL of ANSYS was used for the optimum design process, which is commercial finite element analysis software. Design variables and constraints were chosen based on manufacturing feasibility and existing products. As a result, it is shown that temperature of linear motor plays an important role in determining optimum design.

  • Relaxed static stability(RSS) concept has been applied to improve aerodynamic performance of modern version supersonic jet fighter aircraft. Therefore, flight control systems are necessary to stabilize an unstable aircraft, and provides adequate handling qualities and achieve performance enhancements. Standard FCSDVP (Flight Control System Design and Verification Process) is provided to reduce development period of the flight control system. In addition, if this process is employed in developing flight control system, it reduces the trial and error for development and verification of flight control system. This paper addresses the flight control system design and verification process for the RSS aircraft utilizing design goal based on military specifications, linear and nonlinear system design and verification based on universal software, handling quality test based on HILS(Hardware In-the-Loop Simulator) environment, and ground and flight test results to verify aircraft dynamic flight responses.
