Moving velocity of freezing front= (Mass transfer rate of water at freezing front)$\times$ (Surface area of freezing front)
This paper describes the forming conditions of smart-phone curved glass using the glass molding system with force applying system. The force applying system is composed of a body, a motor and gear, a rectilinear movement structure, a force sensor, a LVDT sensor (Linear Variable Differential Transformer), a up and down moving block, and so on. The glass molding system for characteristic test to find the forming conditions consists of the force applying system and a chamber, a metallic mold, a upper heater, a lower heater and so on. The characteristic test for forming conditions of smart-phone curved glass was carried out at forming temperature $620^{\circ}C$ and $650^{\circ}C$ using the glass molding system. As a result of the characteristic test, the forming conditions of curved glass could be found, and it is thought that the conditions can be used to apply to the system for producing in large quantities.
This paper presents an optimal design and the performance evaluation of two-axis nano positioning stage with round notched flexure hinges. A flexure hinge mechanism with round notched flexure hinges is to guide the linear motions of a moving plate in the nano positioning stage. A Min-Max algorithm is applied to the design of the flexure hinge mechanism for nano positioning stage. In the design process, the structure of the flexure hinge mechanism is fixed, then the radius of a round hole and the width of two round holes are chosen as design variables, and finally the do sign variables are calculated by the Min-Max algorithm. The machined flexure hinge mechanism, stack type PZTs for actuation and capacitance type displacement sensors for position measurement are assembled into the nano positioning stage. The experimental results of the manufactured nano positioning stage show the first modal resonance frequency of 197 Hz, the operating range of 40 um, and the resolution of 3 nm.
To overcome the drawbacks of the traditional contact-type sensor for structural displacement measurement, the vision-based technology with the aid of the digital image processing algorithm has received increasing concerns from the community of structural health monitoring (SHM). The advanced vision-based system has been widely used to measure the structural displacement of civil engineering structures due to its overwhelming merits of non-contact, long-distance, and high-resolution. However, seldom currently-available vision-based systems are capable of realizing the synchronous structural displacement measurement for multiple points on the investigated structure. In this paper, the method for vision-based multi-point structural displacement measurement is presented. A series of moving loading experiments on a scale arch bridge model are carried out to validate the accuracy and reliability of the vision-based system for multi-point structural displacement measurement. The structural displacements of five points on the bridge deck are measured by the vision-based system and compared with those obtained by the linear variable differential transformer (LVDT). The comparative study demonstrates that the vision-based system is deemed to be an effective and reliable means for multi-point structural displacement measurement.
This study will establish the transformal characteristics of architectural visual information by investigating: how contemporary architects perceive and process multifaceted architectural information via the expression media since 1970s. The purposes and results of this study are summarized as follows: This study established the contemporary transformal characteristics by comparing the expression methods of traditional architects with the transformal characteristics of visual information derived from the contemporary architectural expression media. In a pluralistic information society, the expression methods of the past, which recognize space as a stationary, unidimensional visual point on a drawing surface, is now changing to the mixed, multidimensional expression methods that connect various visual points on a limited drawing surface. Furthermore, the rapid advancement of digital media is changing, from a method which simply arranges visual information, to a flexible visual tool which can process architecture sequentially and simultaneously. As the communication structure of architecture is moving toward an individual-centered two-way communication type, the information delivery method is used to visualize conceptual, inferential information, rather than visualizing realistic information which simply records facts. In the past, multidimensional, non-linear forms could not be processed by the conventional design processes and sketch work, but now they can be expressed via digital media.
This paper describes the design of a force applying system for a smart phone curved glass molding system and its characteristic test. The force applying system is composed of a motor and gear, a rectilinear movement structure, a force sensor, an LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) sensor, an up and down moving block, and so on. The system precisely controls the applying force and time to the plane glass because the glass can be easily destroyed under applied force, and can be bent imperfectly. As a result of the characteristic test, the curved glass can be manufactured using this system, and the holding time under 0N force, the applying force to the plane glass, the time for applying from 0N to maximum force, and the holding time under maximum force at the manufacture feasible temperature $620^{\circ}C$ were found.

Synchrotron radiation is produced when charged particles moving with relativistic velocities a are accelerated - for example, deflected by the bending magnets which guide the electron or p positrons in circular accelerators or storage rings. By using special focusing magnetic lattices i in the particle accelerators it is possible to make the dimensions of the particle beam very small with a hi맹 charge density which results in a light source with high b디lIiance. Synchrotron light h has important properties which make it ideal for a wide range of investigations in surface s science. The fact that the spectrum of electromagnetic radiation emitted in a bending magnet e extends in a continuum from the 얹r infra red region to hard x-rays means that it is id않I for a v variety of spectroscopic studies. Since there are no convenient lasers, or other really bright l light sources, in the vacuum ultraviolet and soft x-ray re.밍ons the development of synchrotron r radiation has enabled enormous advances to be made in this di펌C비t spectr따 re밍on. P Polarization-dependent measurements, for ex없nple ellipsometry or circular dichroism studies a are possible because the radiation has a well-defined polarization - linear in the plane of orbit w with additional right-circular, or left-circular, components for emission an생es above, or below, t the horizontal, respectively. Since the synchrotron light is emitted from a bunch of charge c circulating in a ring the light is emitted with a well-defined time structure with a short flash of l light every time a bunch passes an exit port. The time structure depends on the size of the ring a and the number and sequence of filling of the bunches. A pulsed light source enables time¬r resolved studies to be performed which provide direct information on the lifetimes and decay m modes of excited states and in addition opens up the possibility of using time of flight t techniques for spectroscopic studies. The fact that synchrotron radiation is produced in a clean u ultrahi야 vacuum environment is of gr않t importance for surce science studies. The current t비rd generation synchrotron light sources provide exceptionally high baliance and stability a and open up possibilities for experiments which would have been inconceivable only a short time ago.

The Horizon Run 4 is a cosmological N-body simulation designed for the study of coupled evolution between galaxies and large-scale structures of the Universe, and for the test of galaxy formation models. Using 63003 gravitating particles in a cubic box of Lbox = 3150 h−1Mpc, we build a dense forest of halo merger trees to trace the halo merger history with a halo mass resolution scale down to Ms = 2.7 × 1011h−1M⊙. We build a set of particle and halo data, which can serve as testbeds for comparison of cosmological models and gravitational theories with observations. We find that the FoF halo mass function shows a substantial deviation from the universal form with tangible redshift evolution of amplitude and shape. At higher redshifts, the amplitude of the mass function is lower, and the functional form is shifted toward larger values of ln(1/σ). We also find that the baryonic acoustic oscillation feature in the two-point correlation function of mock galaxies becomes broader with a peak position moving to smaller scales and the peak amplitude decreasing for increasing directional cosine μ compared to the linear predictions. From the halo merger trees built from halo data at 75 redshifts, we measure the half-mass epoch of halos and find that less massive halos tend to reach half of their current mass at higher redshifts. Simulation outputs including snapshot data, past lightcone space data, and halo merger data are available at http://sdss.kias.re.kr/astro/Horizon-Run4.
