구형 도파관으로 차폐된 코플래너 도파관 해석 (Analysis of the Coplanar Waveguide Shielded by Rectangular Waveguide)

  • By using the point matching method, the coplanar waveguide shielded by the rectangular waveguide has been analyzed. The particular potential solution of C.P.W has been obtained from the boundary condition by using the point matching method. The line capacitance has been obtained from the total charge of the center conductor per length. The effective dielectric constant and the line impedance have been obtained from the line capacitance of C.P.W.

고속선/기존선 운행에 따른 고속철도 차량의 승차감 특성 분석 (Analysis on the Characteristics of the Ride Comfort for High Speed Trains on the High Speed Line/conventional Line)

  • Recently, the ride comfort problem becomes increasingly important because of today's needs for train speedup. The railway has the track irregularities which cause vibrations, such as rail joints, turnout, level crossing, transition corves and super-elevation ramps, and variations in the track level(z-axis) and the gauge(y-axis). In Korea, the service run of the high speed train has been made since the 1st of April, 2004. The commercial high-speed trains must be run on the compound lines which are composed of high-speed line and conventional line. The high speed lines in both Kyoungbu line and Honam line have 57.5% and 33.8%, respectively In this Paper, the ride comfort has been reviewed by the various experimental methods when the high-speed trains are operated on both Kyoungbu line and Honam line. The results show that the high-speed train has no problems from the viewpoint of the comfort ride during the operation on the high speed line and conventional line.

3D Building Reconstructions for Urban Modeling using Line Junction Features

  • This paper propose a building reconstruction method of urban area for a 3D GIS with stereo images. The 3D reconstruction is performed by the grouping 3D line segments extracted from the stereo matching of salient edges which are derived from multiple images. The grouping is achieved by conditions of degrees and distances between lines. Building objects are determined by the junction combinations of the grouped line segments. The proposed algorithm demonstrates effective results of 3D reconstruction of buildings with 2D aerial images.

  • This paper describes that send some signal from encoder attached to crankshaft of marine-engine to measuring instrument using power line modem(PLM) and display cylinder pressure, rpm and etc. on LCD. Conventional method that sends signal along the long signal line has some inconvenience from too long signal line length caused by huge volume of ship's engine. Power line modem can have short signal line from outlets to measuring instrument. Because it use exist power line for send signals, so it have low installation cost and could have good merits in job sites. Through this experiment, pressure in cylinder, engine rpm and etc. signals through PLM are well recognized at measuring instrument.

Effects of Aperture Densitv Distribution on the Flow Through a Rock Fracture with Line-Source and Line-Collection

  • Migration characteristics of tracers in a rock fracture in a case of line-source and line-collection was studied. The fracture plane was discretized into a square mesh to which variable apertures were assigned. The spatially varying apertures of a fracture were generated using a geostatistical method, based on a given aperture probability density distribution and a specified spatial correlation length. The flow potential and pressure at each node were computed. Calculations showed that fluid flow occurs predominantly through a few preferred paths. Hence, the large range of apertures in the fracture gives rise to flow channeling. The solute transport was calculated using a particle tracking method. The migration plumes of tracer between injection line and withdrawal line are displayed in contour plots. The elution curves are shown to be controlled by the aperture density distribution and to be insensitive to statistical realization and spatial correlation length.

레인 방법에 기반한 이동 로봇의 장애물 회피 (Goal-directed Obstacle Avoidance Using Lane Method)

  • This paper presents a goal-directed reactive obstacle avoidance method based on lane method. The reactive collision avoidance is necessarily required for a robot to navigate autonomously in dynamic environments. Many methods are suggested to implement this concept and one of them is the lane method. The lane method divides the environment into lanes and then chooses the best lane to follow. The proposed method does not use the discrete lane but chooses a line closest to the original target line without collision when an obstacle is detected, thus it has a merit in the aspect of running time and it is more proper for narrow corridor environment. If an obstacle disturbs the movement of a robot by blocking a target path, a robot generates a temporary target line, which is parallel to an original target line and tangential to an obstacle circle, to avoid a collision with an obstacle and changes to and follows that line until an obstacle is removed. After an obstacle is clear, a robot returns to an original target line and proceeds to the goal point. Obstacleis recognized by laser range finder sensor and represented by a circle. Our method has been implemented and tested in a corridor environment and experimental results show that our method can work reliably.

  • On-line screening high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-$ABTS^+$ assay를 이용한 청호로부터 chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, vitexin, queretin, aremisinin의 항산화 활성을 온라인스크리닝 하였다. 이때 침적방법을 적용한 추출시간과 추출용매 조성으로부터 추출효율을 확인하였다. 이 결과 100% 물 추출물에서 수율이 가장 좋왔고 chloroenic acid의 항산화 활성이 가장 높았다. 또한 on-line screening HPLC-$ABTS^+$ assay 분석은 천연물에서 항산화 활성을 신속하게 탐색하는데 효율적이다.

  • Approximately 20% of the total fire is electrical fire, and electrical energy is a potential source of heat. Large-scale fault currents that occur during a line ground fault flow into electric utility poles, electric power equipment, or electric appliances of the customer, and cause simultaneous electrical fire. In this paper, we investigated the possibility of fire through the change of fault current flowing in faulty and sound feeder in case of 1 line ground fault in 22.9 kV distribution line. We propose a fire investigation analysis method for simultaneous multiple electrical fire such as evidence analysis method, and fault current occurrence confirmation method in case of fire accident by analyzing the fault current occurring in the ground fault in the distribution line using EMTP, electric power system analysis program.

송전선로의 이용률 평가 및 합리적 운영에 관한 연구 (A Study on Utilization Ratio and Operation of Transmission Lines)

  • This paper describes the concepts of Static Line Rating (SLR) and Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) and the computational methods to demonstrate them. Calculation of the line capacity needs the heat balance equation which is also used for computing the reduced tension in terms of line aging. SLR is calculated with the data from the worst condition of weather throughout the year. Even now, the utilization ratio is obtained from this SLR data in Korea. DLR is the improved method compared to SLR. A process for DLR reveals not only improved line ratings but also more accurate allowed line ratings based on line aging and real time conditions of weather. In order to reflect overhead transmission line aging in DLR, this paper proposes the method that considers the amount of decreased tension since the lines have been installed. Therefore, the continuous allowed temperature for remaining life time is newly acquired. In order to forecast DLR, this paper uses weather forecast models, and applies the concept of Thermal Overload Risk Probability (TORP). Then, the new concept of Dynamic Utilization Ratio (DUR) is defined, replacing Static Utilization Ratio (SUR). For the case study, the two main transmission lines which are responsible for the north bound power flow in the Seoul metropolitan area are chosen for computing line rating and utilization ratio. And then line rating and utilization ratio are analyzed for each transmission line, so that comparison of the present and estimated utilization ratios becomes available. Finally, this paper proves the validity of predictive DUR as the objective index, with simulations of emergency state caused by system outages, overload and so on.

The critical angle of seismic incidence of transmission tower-line system based on wavelet energy method

  • On the basis that ground motions may arrive at a structure from any horizontal direction and that different directions of seismic incidence would result in different structural dynamic responses, this paper focuses on orienting the crucial seismic incidence of transmission tower-line systems based on the wavelet energy method. A typical transmission tower-line system is chosen as the case study, and two finite element (FE) models are established in ABAQUS, with and without consideration of the interaction between the transmission towers and the transmission lines. The mode combination frequency is defined by considering the influence of the higher-order modes of the structure. Subsequently, wavelet transformation is performed to obtain the total effective energy input and the effective energy input rate corresponding to the mode combination frequency to further judge the critical angle of seismic incidence by comparing these two performance indexes under different seismic incidence angles. To validate this approach, finite element history analysis (FEHA) is imposed on both FE models to generate comparative data, and good agreement is found. The results demonstrate that the wavelet energy method can forecast the critical angle of seismic incidence of a transmission tower-line system with adequate accuracy, avoiding time-consuming and cumbersome computer analysis. The proposed approach can be used in future seismic design of transmission tower-line systems.
