Usefulness of Flow Composite Image in Raynaud Scan ($^{201}Tl$) ($^{201}Tl$을 이용한 레이노 검사에서 동적 Composite 영상의 유용성)

  • Purpose: Raynaud scan is divided to flow, blood pool and local-delay image. Usually, we evaluate comparison through blood pool and local-delay image. We will evaluate about usability when comparative observe blood image and local-delay image in Raynaud scan that used $^{201}Tl$ as making flow image to one sheet of images. Materials and Methods: We have selected 29 Raynaud phenomenon patients aged 14~68 years who visited department of vascular surgery between Feb. 2008 and Aug. 2009. An intravenous injection $^{201}Tl$ of 111 MBq (3 mCi) to opposite side diagonal line limbs above an internal auditing department. Equipment used Philips gamma camera forte A-Z, and collimator used LEHR. Matrix size set up to each $64{\times}64$, $128{\times}128$, $256{\times}256$ and zoom factor used to full field. Protocol of dynamic is 2 second to 155 frames. Blood pool and delay count to 300 second. We set up ROI by a foundation to data acquired in PEGASYS processing program. Each results were analyzed with the SPSS 12.0 statistical software. Results: Each averages of count ratio (Rt / Lt) to have been given at composite image, a blood pool image, delay images analyzed at Raynaud phenomenon patients is $1.25{\pm}0.39$, $1.20{\pm}0.33$, $1.11{\pm}0.17$. The sample analysis results of blood pool image and delay image contented itself with p<0.029. Also, there don't have been each difference, and blood pool image, delay image regarding composite image was able to know. Conclusion: We were able to give help for comparison to evaluate a blood pool image and a local delay image at the Raynaud scan which used $^{201}Tl$ while making a flow image to one sheet image. Identification to be visual too was possible. If you are proceeded a researcher that there was further depth, you are more appropriate for, and you may get useful information.

  • Fabric art is most distinguished field among the Modern art. Among them, tapestry which begins human history is investigated more and more deeply and till now it displays with various type and exhibition. But, because of the huge scale of the working process, it requires much time and hard endeavor. After sampling, it begins main process in the present situation. But we cannot know exactly whether it goes well or not until it ends. So after fulfilled whole process, we often try new work again. Because of this reason, we devise computer simulation. With computer simulation we can preview whole working and lengthen the planning time, shorten the needless time. Simulation is made up of Scan, Drawing, Line clean up, Rendering, Parity, and Printing. Scan and Drawing can male new idea. And during the Line clean up we can make vector image and modify the image. And then rendering the image and inquiring the length and weight of yarn. Last process is printing an then making a package soft ware by means of prototype. Through these process, many producers and student can easily access to tapestry and reduce the needless time and endeavor.

  • As most the scanning systems developed until now provide radiation scan plane images of the inspected objects, there has been a limitation in judging exactly the shape of the objects inside a logistics container exactly with only 2-D radiation image information. Two 2-dimensional radiation images which have different disparity values are acquired from a newly designed stereo image acquisition system which has one additional line sensor to the conventional system. Using a matching algorithm the 3D reconstruction process which find the correspondence between the images is progressed. In this paper, we proposed a new volume based 3D reconstruction algorithm and experimental results show the proposed new volume based reconstruction technique can provide more efficient visualization for cargo inspection. The proposed technique can be used for the development of the high speed and more efficient non-destructive auto inspection system.

  • In this study, a scrap sorting system using a color recognition method has been developed to automatically sort out specified materials from a mixture, and its application as been examined in the separation of Cu and other non-ferrous metal parts from a mixture of iron scraps. The system is composed of three parts; measuring, conveying and ejecting parts. The color of scrap surface is recognized by the measuring part consisting of a line-scan camera, light sources and a frame grabber. The recognition is program-controlled by a image processing algorithms, and thus only the scrap part of designated color is separated by the use of air nozzles. In addition, the light system is designed to meet a high speed of sorting process with a frequency-variable inverter and the air nozzled ejectors are to be operated by an I/O interface communication with a hardware controller. In the functional tests of the system, its efficiency in the recognition of Cu scraps from its mixture with Fe ones reaches to more than 90%, and that in the separation more than 80% at a conveying speed of 25 m/min. Therefore, it is expected that the system can be commercialized in the industry of shredder makers if a high efficiency ejecting system is realized.

  • In recent years, research at the Environmental Microbial and Food Safety Laboratory (EMFSL), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has focused on the development of novel image-based sensing technologies to address agro-food safety concerns, and transformation of these novel technologies into practical instrumentation for industrial implementations. The line-scan-based hyperspectral imaging techniques have often served as a research tool to develop rapid multispectral methods based on only a few spectral bands for rapid online applications. We developed a newer line-scan hyperspectral imaging platform for high-speed inspection on high-throughput processing lines, capable of simultaneous multiple inspection algorithms for different agro-food safety problems such as poultry carcass inspection for wholesomeness and apple inspection for fecal contamination and defect detection. In addition, portable imaging devices were developed for in situ identification of contamination sites and for use by agrofood producer and processor operations for cleaning and sanitation inspection of food processing surfaces. The aim of this presentation is to illustrate recent advances in the above agro.food safety sensing technologies.

  • In this paper, we developed the inspection system of electric vehicle pouch battery using image processing. Line scan cameras are used for acquiring the all parts of the pouch battery, and several steps of image processing for extracting significant dimensions(User Required Position) of the battery. In image processing, edge lines, node points, dimension lines, etc. were extracted using Preprocessor, Square Edge Detection, and Size Detection algorithms. This is used to measure the dimensions of the location requested by the user on the pouch battery. For verification of the inspection system, the dimensions of three pouch batteries produced in the same process were measured, and the mean and standard deviation were obtained to confirm the precision.

  • Existing image scalers generally adopt simple interpolation methods such as bilinear method to take cost-benefit, or highly complex architectures to achieve high quality resulting images. However, demands for a low power, low cost, and high performance image scaler become more important because of emerging high quality mobile contents. In this paper we propose the novel low power hardware architecture for a high quality raster scan image scaler. The proposed scaler architecture enhances the existing cubic interpolation look-up table architecture by reducing and optimizing memory access and hardware components. The input data buffer of existing image scaler is replaced with line memories to reduce the number of memory access that is critical to power consumption. The cubic interpolation formula used in existing look-up table architecture is also rearranged to reduce the number of the multipliers and look-up table size. Finally we analyze the optimized parameter sets of look-up table, which is a trade-off between quality of result image and hardware size.

  • Two graphics simulators, SOFTGRA and RACA, have been developed. The SOFTGRA has been implemented by the scan line algorithm using 2 shading models with multi-light sources. The RACA is a ray casting simulator which produces shadowed images with realism. Above two simulators run on Sun micro system and MV10000 and produce image data which are transfered into IBM AT with Metheus' Omega graphics board and drawn there.

  • The formula contains up between the text and the structural information, as well as their mathematical symbols. Research on-line or off-line recognition formula is underway actively used in various fields, and various forms of the equation are implemented recognition system. Although many documents are included in the various formulas, it is not easy to enter a formula into the computer. Recognition of the expression is divided into two processes of symbol recognition and structural analysis. After analyzing the location information of each character is specified to recognize the effective area after each symbol, and to the structure analysis based on the proximity between the characters is recognized as an independent single formula. Furthermore, analyzing the relationship between the front and back each time a combination of the position relationship between each symbol, and then to add the symbol which was able to easily update the structure of the entire formula. In this paper, by using a scanner to scan the book formula was used to interpret the meaning of the recognized symbol has a relative size and location information of the expression symbol. An algorithm to remove the formulas for calculation of the number of formula is present at the same time is proposed. Using the proposed algorithms to scan the books in the formula in order to evaluate the performance verification as 100% separation and showed the recognition rate equation.

  • The aim of this study is to develop a general purpose algorithm for analyzing geometrical features of agricultural products and microscopic particles regardless of their numbers, shapes and positions with a computer vision system. Primarily, boundary informations of an image were obtained by Scan Line Coding and Scan & Chain Coding methods and then with these informations, geometrical features such as area, perimeter, lengths, widths, centroid, major and minor axes, equivalent circle diameter, number of individual objects, etc, were analyzed. The algorithms developed in this study was evaluated with test images consisting of a number of randomly generated ellipsoids or a few synthesized diagrams having different features. The result was successful in terms of accuracy.
