This paper proposes a method to learn action patterns of opponent characters for intelligent characters. For learning action patterns, intelligent characters learn the past actions as well as the current actions of opponent characters. Therefore, intelligent characters react more properly than ones without the knowledge on action patterns. In addition, this paper proposes a method to learn moving actions whose fitness is hard to evaluate. To evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, we experiment with four repeated action patterns in a game similar to real games. The results show that intelligent characters learn the optimal actions for action patterns and react properly against to random action opponent characters. The proposed method can be applied to various games in which characters confront each other, e.g. massively multiple of line games.

This paper investigates the structural responses of axially restrained steel beams under fire conditions by a nonlinear finite element method. The axial restraint is represented by a linear elastic spring. Different parameters which include beam slenderness ratio, external load level and axial restraint ratio are investigated. The process of forming a mid-span plastic hinge at the mid-span under a rising temperature is studied. In line with forming a fully plastic hinge at mid-span, the response of a restrained beam under rising temperature can be divided into three stages, viz. no plastic hinge, hinge forming and rotating, and catenary action stage. During catenary action stage, the axial restraint pulls the heated beam and prevents it from failing. This study introduces definitions of beam limiting temperature $T_{lim}$, catenary temperature $T_{ctn}$ and warning time $t_{wn}$. Influences of slenderness ratio, load level and axial restraint ratio on $T_{lim}$, $T_{ctn}$ and $t_{wn}$ are examined.

The Sasaq community in Lombok, Indonesia has been recognized as a peasant community with its unique and strong social capital. Sources of social capital recognition can be derived from common terms or expressions and institutions practiced in community daily life. However, there is a trend of neglecting and ignoring those values by the community, especially the youth. Through action research, we would like to revitalize social capital of the community in supporting social and economic development in the rural level. In this paper, we introduce a Strategic Leadership and Learning Organization (SLLO) approach to build community participation in solving social and economic problems. Through regular dialogue, communities come with common agreements and collective action that are perceived as emergence property. Several common agreements are intended to solve community problems actually in line with the objectives of government designated development.

This research aims to cast light upon security characteristics of the Peace Line, which have been underestimated. To understand maritime order and maritime security policy of the Republic of Korea between 1950 and 1970, it is necessary to analyze the Peace Line as line of defence and to investigate its character This research begins with analyzation of historical facts and investigation on security characteristics of the Peace Line. It goes further to examination of legal justification of the Peace Line, which was one of international legal issues of the period, principally regarding its security characteristics. As results of the study, it could be said that the security characteristics of the Peace Line was the line of defensive waters, which set its goal mainly to prevent infiltration of communist spies. The Peace Line had practical effect as it functioned as a base line of the ROK Navy to take anti-spy operation. At the early phase of the Korea-Japan Negotiation, the Korea delegation interpreted significance of the Peace Line passively. After abrogation of Clark Line, the delegation, however, became positive to maintain the Peace Line and its security characteristics. Security characteristics of the Peace Line was recognized again, as it became the base line of special maritime zone which was made in 1972. Through analysis on international law, it is concluded that the Peace Line was fair as a part of the right of self-defense against indirect aggression. North Korea attempted indirect aggression mainly from sea way, and these might undermine peace and cause urgent and unjust damage on the ROK. Thus the ROK's action of anti-spy operation through the Peace Line can be justifiable as considering the right of self-defence. Also the Peace Line accorded with principles of necessity, immediacy and proportionality. As it was argued on the above, the Peace Line as line of defence was one of the most significant factor in the ROK's maritime security history from the Hot war against communist forces to Cold war period after Korean War and must not be underestimated.

Recently, a large amount of budget was invested in improving the railway tracks(double tracking, route improvement) of Janghang and Jungang line. However, further action to enhance the investment effect has been needed because the desired effect have not been obtained. This study was designed to evaluate the effect of track improvement briefly by examining the project summary of Janghang and Jungang line railway line improvement and analysing the change of the transport performance and revenue. The results of this study can be applied not only to establish an operation plan for maximizing the revenue of rail operation also to enhance an effect of track improvement.

프로그래밍 언어의 의미를 정형적으로 표기하는 기법인 액션의미론을 기반으로 한 컴파일러 생성기는 프로그래밍언어의 액션의미구조가 주어지면 그 언어의 컴파일러를 자동으로 생성한다. 생성된 컴파일러는 먼저 원시 프로그램을 그에 상응하는 액션 프로그램으로 확장한 후, 목적 프로그램으로 컴파일 한다. 여기서 액션 프로그램은 일종의 중간코드로 쓰이므로, 효율적인 목적코드를 생성하기 위해서 중간코드의 성능향상이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 액션 프로그램을 부분계산을 통해 효율적인 코드로 자동 변환해 주는 온라인 액션 부분계산기를 설계하고 구현한다. 선행 연구된 오프라인 방식에서 전역분석을 하지 않고는 불가능했던 요약캡슐의 몸통, 펼치기의 몸통에 대한 부분계산이 온라인 방법을 사용하면 가능함을 보이고, 명령형 액션의 부분계산도 추가적으로 수행할 수 있도록 확장한다. Abstract Action Semantics is a framework for formally defining the semantics of programming languages. Action semantics-directed compiler generators take an action semantics definition of a programming language and automatically generate a compiler of the language. The generated compiler first expands a source program into an action denotation of the program, and then compiles it to a target code. In these compiler-generation systems, it is important to statically process the expanded action denotation - used as an intermediate code - as much as possible so that the generated compiler can produce better target code. In this paper, we develop an automatic action-transformation method based on online partial evaluation. The previous off-line method was rather weak because it could not partially evaluate actions inside the body of abstraction and unfolding-action without performing separate global analysis. The proposed online method remedies the problem, thus naturally improves the quality of residual actions. Moreover, we also extend the method to partially evaluate imperative actions.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the structure of neurophysiological healing in Cho Ji-Hoon's poem "Line" and to use it in literature therapy program. Research shows that action potentials in the human body represent the mind. In other words, the electric charges appear to be the signs of the mind, and the action potentials of all the charges of the human body are integrated together to systematize the mind. Cho Ji-Hoon's poem "Line" resembles the process of collecting, analyzing, synthesizing and reproducing information, which is the function of the human neurophysiological synapse. This is a useful form of poetry in terms of its application to literary therapy programs. If we develop such a form of literary therapy program as Cho Ji-Hoon's poem, it will be more effective in healing process.

This paper presents how to find proper operating points of FACTS devices to enhance the steady-state security level considering line contigency analysis. Three generic types of FACTS devices such as series controllers, shunt controllers, and series-shunt controllers are introduced and applied to moximize a security margin and to minimize security indices. Security indices related to line flows and bus voltages are utilized and minimized iteratively in this paper. Contingency analysis is performed to detect the most severe single line fault. In various load conditions, FACTS devices are tested to establish appropriate preventive or corrective action without generation re-dispatching or load shedding. The FACTS operation scheme is verified on the IEEE 57-bus system in a line-faulted contingency.

본 논문에서는 한국형 틸팅열차의 유지보수 활동을 위해 신뢰성기반유지보수체계를 제안하였다. 열차시스템을 3단계의 교체 부품 단위로 분류하고, 각 단위에 대해 기능블록도를 작성한 후 고장모드 영향 분석을 실시하였다. 각 단위의 심각도를 결정한 후 유지보수 정책을 제안하였으며, 틸팅열차를 위한 유지보수 기준을 정하고, 실제 사례를 제시하였다. 제안된 신뢰성기반유지보수체계는 기존 유지보수 체계와도 호환성을 갖고 있으며, 안전성 향상과 유지보수 활동 효율화에 기여할 수 있다.In this paper, a reliability centered maintenance (RCM) system is proposed to perform maintenance action for Korean Tilting Train. The train system was divided into line replaceable units up to three steps. Functional block diagrams were drawn and failure mode effect analysis for the units was carried out. The criticality of each unit was determined and a maintenance policy was proposed. Maintenance and repair criteria for the tilting train were determined and an example was presented. The proposed RCM system is compatible with the previous maintenance system and contributes to improvement of safety and efficiency of maintenance action.
