  • A lights-out detector, which helps the person in charge of maintenance make a quick judgment in the event of a failure of LED-type traffic lights, was explored/developed and installed/ tested, at Seoul Metro, after they developed a patented pilot product in 2005; and, a product improvement test was conducted to ensure reasonable maintenance of signaling facilities. Having better compatibility with existing circuit in use and displaying stable load current, the device makes the maintenance of lights-out detection and alert easier.

상가건물 계단통로유도등의 유지관리 효율화 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effective Maintenance Method of the Stair Passage Leading Light installed In the Shopping Building)

  • This study was conducted by survey and inspection of stair passage leading lights in shopping buildings which are more than 5 stories and have an underground parking lot located at Pyeongtaek-si and Seongnam-si. Number of shopping building for this study is 30 and of stair passage leading light inspected by two lights in each shopping building is 60. The result of this study is that the type of installed leading lights is LED(77%), and 60% of leading lights has problem such as no cleaning, scratch and discoloration, etc. The height of installed leading lights meets the fire law which is less than 1m from the floor. Visible condition of leading lights is good except some leading lights which have a little visible problem due to banner advertisement. 37% of standby power has flickered and went out. 93% of total leading lights meets the fire law which is more than 1lux from 0.5m distance, but cold cathode fluorescent lamps(CCFLs) have the problem which not meets proper brightness level based on fire law. In additional measurement result, zero lux of leading lights is 32%(from 1m distance), 68%(from 1.5m distance) and 98%(from 2m distance). Leading light is very important facility because it is eyes and guide when emergency. Therefore, proper fire facility operating function inspection and total detailed inspection are important to keep the good condition of leading light except simple visual check, and also improvement in law system of type approval, fire construction inspection and illumination level will be needed.

통영 바다목장 자원조성을 위한 연구 I. 야간점등에 의한 동물플랑크톤 유도효과 (Study on Resources Annexation in Tongyeong Marine Ranching I. Effects of Zooplankton Attraction by Night-lights)

  • 점등 효과에 따른 동물플랑크톤 군집동태의 변화를 관찰하기 위하여 통영 바다목장 해역내 한국해양연구원 가두리 설치 지역에서 2004년 7월부터 2004년 8월까지 채집을 실시하였다. 점등 효과를 알아보기 위한 시료 채집은 야간에 점등구간에서 또한 자연상태의 동물플랑크톤 군집과 비교분석을 위하여 같은 시간에 인접 지역에서 점등에 영향을 받지 않는 장소를 선정하여 점등 시료와 동일한 방법으로 채집하여 비교 분석하였다. 조사기간 중 출현한 동물플랑크톤은 종 수준까지 동정한 21종을 포함하여 총 43개 분류군이었다. 불을 밝힌 점등구에서의 출현 분류군수는 비점등구에 비해 많은 개체수가 나타났으며, 두 구간에서의 동물플랑크톤 평균 출현량에서도 비점등구에 비해 점등구에서 약 $3\sim166$배 높은 출현량을 나타내었다. 본 연구에서 점등(불빛)으로 유집되는 동물플랑크톤 군집의 반응양상은 2개로 대별하여 특정지을 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. "A"그룹은 조사시기별 높은 출현 빈도를 나타낸 종들로 불빛에 명확한 양주광성(photo-positive)종들로 구성됨을 알 수 있었다. "B"그룹에 속하는 종들은 약간의 차이는 있으나, 대부분이 점등(불빛)에 소극적으로 반응하는 음주광성(photo-negative)으로 나타났다.

색광에 대한 쥐치의 반응 (Response of Filefish to the Colored Lights)

  • The author carried out an experiment to find out the responsing patterns of filefish, Stepha nolepis cirrhifer (Temminck et Schlegel) to the color lights. The experimental tank (360LX50WX55H cm) was set up in a dark room. Six Longitudinal sections each being 60 em intervals are marked in the tank to observe the location of the fish. Water depth in the tank was kept 50 em level. Light bulbs of 20W were placed at the both ends of the tank to be projected the light horizontally into the tank. Two different colored filters were selected in combination from four' colors-red, blue, yellow, and white, and were placed in front of the light bulbs to make\ulcorner different light of color. Light intensity were controlled by use of auxiliary filters intercepted between the bulb and the filter. The fish were acclimatized in the dark for 40 minutes prior to employ in the experiment. Upon turning on the light, the number of fish in each section was counted 40 times in every 30 seconds, and the mean of the number of fish in each section was given as the gathering rate of the fish. The results obtained are as follows: 1. Color of light, to which the fish gathered abundantly was found in the named order of blue, white, green, and red. 2. The differences of gathering rate upon arbitary combined two color lights were shown significant, and the differences increased remarkably in accordance with the lapse of illuminating period.

COB형 LED 보안등을 위한 렌즈 구조 설계 (Design of the Lens Structure for COB type LED Safety Luminaires)

  • The study carried out in this dissertation focuses on the lens structure design and the light distribution for LED safety luminaires using COB type LED module. Lens structures for LED lights has been designed 1) to induce light diffusion by dual process of internal reflection and refraction, 2) to minimize the inherent LED lights' glittering, and 3) to have uniform brightness. The lens designed with the proposed structures function as diffusers for the divergence of the LED lights so that they form a wide angle of view and adjust the light distribution. We designed of lens with stable uniformity factor and average roughness using aspheric optics property. Finally we made the analysis data of the simulated data.

소형어선 및 예인선단의 등화 및 형상물에 관한 고찰 (A Study on the Lights and Shapes for the Small Fishing Vessel and the Vessels Towing and Being Towed)

  • 본 연구에서는 소형어선 및 예인선단의 해양사고 사례를 통해 선박의 규정된 등화 및 형상물로 오인할 수 있거나 그들의 특성 식별을 방해하는 등화 및 형상물 또는 적절한 경계(警戒)를 방해하는 등화 및 형상물의 문제점을 살펴보았다. 그리고 다음과 같이 선박의 등화 및 형상물에 관한 규칙을 규정하고 있는 국내법의 개정 필요성을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 "총톤수 10톤 미만 소형어선의 구조 및 설비기준"은 소형어선이 "국제해상충돌예방규칙" 제26조 및 "해사안전법" 제84조에서 규정하고 있는 "어로에 종사하고 있는 선박"이 표시하여야 하는 등화 및 형상물을 비치하도록 개정하여야 한다. 둘째 소형어선의 항해등 및 레이더반사기에 관한 면제 규칙을 규정하고 있는 "어선설비기준"은 "해사안전법" 제20조의 규정을 충족하도록 개정하여야 한다. 셋째 "해사안전법" 제2조에서 규정하고 있는 "예인선열"의 정의는 "국제해상충돌예방규칙" 제24조의 규정을 충족하도록 개정하여야 한다. 또한 모든 항해사에게 해양사고 예방을 위하여 적절한 등화 및 형상물 표시의 중요성을 강조하고자 한다.

  • 전통적인 항로표지는 등광(등명기)에 의존하여 항로 및 위험물을 표시함으로써 통항선박의 안전을 확보하여 왔으나, 울산항을 비롯한 전국 무역항에서 입지조건이 유리한 항만배후단지가 개발됨에 따라 항만배후광이 증가하였고 항로표지의 야간시인성이 현격하게 떨어지는 현상이 발생하였다. 또한, 전국 무역항에서는 채선율 저감을 통한 항만 운영율 향상을 위하여 야간 입출항 제한규모를 단계적으로 상향하고 있어 이에 대비한 통항선박의 안전확보방안 마련이 시급히 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 항행원조시설인 등대 및 등표 등에 등탑직적조명방식(LED논네온 등)을 비롯한 고광력 등명기 등이 적용되었고, 상대적으로 시인성이 떨어지는 등부표에는 시인성 향상과 선위결정이 용이하도록 LED발광번호판을 개발하여 적용한 결과, 항만 이용자들로부터 호평을 받고 있으며 앞으로도 항만배후광 극복을 위한 항로표지의 발전은 계속되어야 할 것이다.

히트 파이프를 이용한 다중 LED 패키지의 방열 성능 연구 (Study on Thermal Performance of Multiple LED Packages with Heat Pipes)

  • LED 조명기기의 경우 칩의 고밀도 발열로 인한 심각한 수명감소 및 광효율 저하, 색온도 변이의 문제점 등이 야기되므로 이를 해결하기 위해 주로 LED 패키지나 방열케이스를 최적화하는 연구가 이루어져 왔다. 최근들어 고출력 자동차 헤드램프나 가로등도 LED로 대체되어 가고 있는데 자연대류식 방열로는 그다지 효과적이지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고출력 조명기기 방열 성능 최적화에 강제대류를 이용한 히트파이프 사용의 타당성을 알아보았다. 또한, 팬의 수명이 LED 수명에 비해 일반적으로 낮으므로 이를 보완하기 위한 최적화된 팬의 정지-작동 제어가 팬 수명 증가에 미치는 영향도 고찰하였다.

식물재배용 LED 광원의 광질과 PPFD에 따른 청치마상추의 성장에 관한 연구 (A Study on Growth of the Green Leaf Lettuce Depends on PPFD and Light Quality of LED Lighting Source for Growing Plant)

  • The artificial light sources for growth of plant are usually high-pressure sodium lamp, metal haloids lamp, and fluorescent light; however, these light sources have relatively weaker Red and Blue lights that are necessary for growth of plants. Especially the effect of Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD) is pointed out as the weakness. Meanwhile, LED light source can be selected by specific wavelength to greatly improve the effect of PPFD. In this regard, this paper aims to investigate the promotion of plant growth by measuring photosynthetic photon flux density (hereafter referred to as PPFD) according to changes in light quality of the LED light sources. Towards this end, LED light sources for plant growth were produced with 4 kinds of mono-chromatic lights and 6 kinds of combined lights by mixing red, blue, green and white lights. A comparative analysis was conducted to investigate the effects of optical properties and PPFD on plants (green leaf lettuce) using the produced light sources. The results monochromatic light has fastest growth rate, but plant growth conditions have poor. This being so, mixed light is suitable for the green leaf lettuce.

Effects of monochromatic lights on the growth performance, carcass characteristics, eyeball development, oxidation resistance, and cecal bacteria of Pekin ducks

  • Objective: Light is a significant component of housing environment in commercial poultry industry. This study was conducted to investigate whether Pekin ducks perform better under monochromatic lights than under white light with respect to their growth performance, carcass quality, eyeball development, oxidation resistance, and cecal bacterial communities. Methods: A total of 320 one-day-old male Pekin ducklings were randomly distributed into five rooms with different light treatments, white, red, yellow, green, and blue light. Each room consisted of 4 replicated pens with 16 ducklings per pen. Results: Blue light significantly decreased fat deposition by decreasing abdominal fat. Long wavelength light, such as red, green, and yellow light, considerably increased the back-to-front eyeball diameter and the red light potentially enlarged the side-to-side eyeball diameter. Besides, the blue light had adverse effects on the oxidation resistance status in terms of increasing the product malonaldehyde of lipid oxidation and decreasing the plasma concentration of total superoxide dismutase. The phyla of Firmicutes had the greatest abundance in the green and blue treatments, while Bacteroidetes in blue treatment was the least. The genus of Faecalibacterium was significantly lower under the red light. Conclusion: The high risk of cecal health status and decreased anti-oxidation activity were observed under blue light. Red, yellow, and green light might increase the risk of oversized eyeball and cecal illness. Therefore, monochromatic lights compared to white light did not show advantages on the performance of housing ducks, it turns out that the white light is the best light condition for grow-out ducks.
