New Lighting Control System for Light Devices (새로운 조명기기 점등제어 시스템)

  • In this paper, new efficient lighting control system for light devices is proposed to reduce power consumption and increases LED life-cycle and heat efficiency of LED lighting module. The new proposed lighting control system for light devices divides into 4 stages according to the illuminance surrounding by measuring illuminance and apply to automatic pattern lighting algorithm. And via level check will be light up for set time by applying intersection lighting algorithm of magic square pattern forming a fully symmetrical. Experimental analysis results, shows heating value and power consumption reduced to maximum 30 percent and lifetime of LED improved to maximum 60 percent in comparison with previous lighting system so applying system to LED streetlight, stable and high energy efficiency can be acquired.

  • This paper aimed to verify and develop lighting design data for offices in Korea. It focused on a Korean standard office value relative to lighting density and the evaluation of lighting energy and cooling load. When planning indoor lighting design, we generally utilize the lighting density value which is set $14W/m^2$ by the ASHRAE/IES standard office value. However, the value is not appropriate to apply in Korea where higher efficiency lamps are more popular than others. For calculation of a proper lighting density of Korea, we analysed distribution curves of luminous intensity(2-lamp fluorescent lighting fixture with Parabolic) and derived the new lighting density $12.64W/m^2$ as Korea standard office value. In the simulation using this value, it was shown that lighting energy and cooling load could be reduced.

  • LED lighting is used as artificial lighting for plant growth because it has high light efficiency and can radiate light of various wavelengths. In this paper, we have developed new structure LED lighting module to improve the performance of LED lighting for plant growth and proposed a lighting control system that can be controlled wirelessly. The proposed LED lighting module was fabricated using optical lens applied to tunnel light and simulated using Relux program. Results of simulation, we confirmed that the light distribution and average illuminance of the proposed lighting were improved. LED lighting control system was developed to wirelessly control R, G, B, W LED lighting according to plant type and growing season. Therefore, it is expected to provide the optimal lighting environment for plant growth and contribute to the improvement of farm productivity and convenience.

  • This paper studies stand-alone photovoltaic array for solar lighting lamp. The solar lighting lamp has PV modules, batteries. and charge & discharge system. The charge efficiency is improved for the control of each battery which is divided the charge from the discharge to change the structure of existing solar lighting lamp charge & discharge system. so, the charge and discharge times are reduced of 50%. and the depth of discharge control can be controlled in the discharge cut off voltage. This can be effective of battery use. If a battery is out of order, this system can be executed for a regular period. so we saved the repair cost and developed of system's stabilization. It is possible economical effect to apply for solar lighting lamp used photovoltaic array.

  • The design of the LEDs lighting in general household illumination was proposed and compared with the fluorescent lighting in this study. Using the LED as a light source would promote energy saving lighting for household illumination purposes. We used the LightTools and DIALux software to design and simulate different standards of illuminance, different correlated color temperatures and different color rendering indices for household environments. The power consumption and efficiency of traditional illuminated light sources and an LED light source with the same standard of illuminance for lighting the household environment were analyzed and compared with each other. Finally, our results show the advantages of using white-light LEDs for lighting and household illumination.

  • A flat fluorescent lamp (FFL) developed as a light source for LCD TV backlight was used as a light source for general lighting application and its electro-optical characteristics were measured and evaluated. The channels of FFL were formed from a flat glass at high temperature by using a mold. The performance of FFL with lighting future was shown to improve by optimizing the channel profile of FFL. In this paper, the brightness efficiency of FFL with lighting fixture was evaluated and compared with that of the hot cathode fluorescent lamp (HCFL), the major light source for general lighting. The optical efficiency of FFL with future was shown to be 72.7[1m/W].

  • To live comportably, proper air and lighting environment are necessary, environment is obtained by excuting. We can get the lighting environment with excuting day-lighting and artificial lighting suittably. The developing trend of fluorescent light lamp call for low power and high lighting efficiency. Nowadays, The 26 mm FL is developed and in wide use in this proper, the character of 26 mm FL is discussed, same improvement are proposed.

  • In this paper we proposed the design of the hybrid road lighting control system using solar-light generation. The proposed hybrid road lighting control system be power offer through hybrid controller using Solar-Light Generation, and it is designed so that it can control lighting up. To control supply of continuous power when during power shortages. And the gateway be transmit control command using zigbee to road lighting to ensure that automatic lighting control on human sensing. In this case, the gateway is apply the lighting control algorithm that decisions to the status of the system by a pre-set time schedule and be able to operate. In this paper, the proposed efficiency analysis results of a hybrid road lighting control system was consumed power of 129.6W per day, 3.8KW per month, 47.3KW per annual. As a result, it were able to increase the energy efficiency than existing lighting control system by reduce power consumption of 76.2% and the electricity prices of 76.8%.

  • Tunnel lighting in Korea has the problems of unsatisfactory illuminance uniformity which obstructs driver's vision, a flicker phenomenon on wall of tunnel, a heavy glare, low efficiency of luminaires, low utilization factor, and high energy consumption. We developed a high efficiency luminaire reflector for tunnel lighting which removes these problems. Developed luminaire saves energy and improves lighting environment by increasing 10% of luminaire efficiency. It can reduce installation cost by decreasing the number of luminaires, while average illuminance of 200[lx], overall uniformity of 0.4, longitudinal uniformity of 0.7, and electric power consumptions per unit area of 3.7[W/m$^2$] are accomplished.

  • This paper introduces a novel concept of 'A Green LED Sensitivity Lighting System' which can automatically estimate QoS(quality of service) and emotional requirements of user using smart phone. And it can intelligently control ambient illumination lamp to conserve electric energy and to satisfy human sensitivity. The proposed system has 4 control modes; emotional lighting, smart lighting, green lighting and realistic lighting modes in order to comfort man's emotion, to maximize work efficiency, to save energy consumption and to make the entertainment more fun, respectively. When we choose green lighting mode for indoor office situations, an elaborate simulation shows that the proposed system with home network can reduce the energy by 50% compared to conventional light control system with a fixed time-based switching.
