  • In this paper, we propose the hybrid lighting control system on multiple sensor. The proposed hybrid lighting control system was designed for management and control of street lightings by configured as the data display part of integration-interworking part, the data conversion-processing part of integrated management part, and the communication part of gateway system. The data are implemented to designing the DB to enable to storage in real-time by enable to monitoring by wireless remote control and schedule set. As a result of the efficiency verification of the proposed hybrid lighting control system, the hybrid lighting control system be to the real-time monitoring and remote lighting control was possible, because to peristalsis with smart devices and portable PC etc., and it could be obtained the effect of energy and electricity, communication cost reduction.

  • Track Movable Lighting System (TMLS) which is developed by New Technology Bank Co., LTD is variable lighting system which can be freely carried according to the power track comprising by including the trolley bar. This paper introduces a track design and a heuristic algorithm for intelligent lighting control of TMLS, and proposes a user interface for handling lighting control without difficulty. If New Technology Bank Co.,LTD grafts proposed control system onto TMLS, user can easily handle the lighting system movement by simply pushing the button.

  • DMX512 protocol controls a lighting system for outdoor lightings and stage lightings. But lighting systems using DMX512 protocol based wired needs expensive cost in installation, maintain, repair. And it has restrictions about control channel numbers and its ranges. Also, it needs additional equipments for the control of lighting systems which installed on wide area. In this paper, we propose wireless control technique and a ZDMX module for lighting systems on wide area based on DMX512 protocol. Our technique solves problems of DMX512 protocol, and it can control lighting systems on wide area effectively. We developments the LED lighting system using ZDMX modules and we have confirmed the suitability of our technique for real environment.

  • This paper introduces a novel concept of 'A Green LED Sensitivity Lighting System' which can automatically estimate QoS(quality of service) and emotional requirements of user using smart phone. And it can intelligently control ambient illumination lamp to conserve electric energy and to satisfy human sensitivity. The proposed system has 4 control modes; emotional lighting, smart lighting, green lighting and realistic lighting modes in order to comfort man's emotion, to maximize work efficiency, to save energy consumption and to make the entertainment more fun, respectively. When we choose green lighting mode for indoor office situations, an elaborate simulation shows that the proposed system with home network can reduce the energy by 50% compared to conventional light control system with a fixed time-based switching.

  • Unlike the general lighting systems, stage lighting system requires accurate dimming control and reduction of flicker phenomenon. In this paper, we studied PWM dimming control and linear voltage level control methods. PWM Dimming is easy control and flicker phenomenon of linear voltage level dimming does not happen by experiment result. We concluded that stage lighting dimming system required to combine two techniques of the PWM and linear voltage level dimming control method.

  • In this paper, an automatic lighting control system is developed using micom. The developed system consists of digital lighting control system, analog lighting control system and simulator. In the developed system, ATMega128 is used as the main controller. The developed digital lighting control system consist of eight parts and the developed analog lighting control system consist of six parts respectively. Additional, the developed simulator consist of analog and digital simulation using graphic user interface.

  • Full-Color LED lighting system requires efficient control of the lighting color in order to easily achieve various color effects. In this paper, we present not only a portable color scanner using color sensors which can control lighting color directly from detected color but also methods to convert detected color to a complementary color, similar colors and so on. In addition, we propose a compensation method for measured sensor color to reduce measurement errors more than 50[%] in detected color. The developed color scanner is applied to control full-color LED ceiling light for emotional lighting.

  • Generally, the phase control dimmer has been widely used due to simple interface and easy handling. However, the electrical characteristics are not good for the method in which the phase control dimmer cuts the input voltage. This paper has researched about DALI(Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) controller, that is the digital lighting control method, and implemented DALI protocol satisfied with the IEC-62386 standard. In addition, the existing phase control dimmer was used as the controller of DALI and not only individual control but also group control was possible. And the performance was proved to be good by applying our theory to 30[W] LED lighting control system.

  • In this paper, we propose Bluetooth based on efficient indoor-emotion-lighting control system. The proposed Bluetooth based on indoor-emotion-lighting control system was designed to be automatically controlled by the motion sensor light and using a Bluetooth module may be controlled to light up or mobile PC, wall pad. In addition, It was designed the LED lighting On/Off control the environment according to Humidity, the temperature, illumination, motion sensors. System based on the bluetooth is automatic control possible using the illumination sensor, and by selecting the desired lighting partial control can be designed. The experimental efficiency results of the proposed indoor-emotion-lighting control system were designed to provide an internal environment adapted to a resident, were able to maximize the energy savings, have reduced power consumption than the traditional simple On/Off control system.

A Study on Daylight Control Method for Securing Visual Comfort and Reducing Lighting Loads on Interior Lighting Environment (실내조명환경의 시각적 쾌적성 확보 및 조명부하 저감을 위한 채광제어방법에 관한 연구)

  • In previous study, to investigate the impression of the compound lighting based on the AC-Model at the full-size room, the impressions of various compound lighting were completed as compared with that of the uniform lightings through the comparison method (a paired comparison) by Semantic Differential scaling. Also, we examined the effect of the supplementary lighting type increasing the lights at the side of the window and the blind-control lighting type, and they were compared with the existing compound lighting type. In results, pared comparison of the compound lighting and the uniform lighting, indicates that the impression of the compound lighting is generally similar to that of the uniform lighting when there are same ratios of the light from the window. Based on these results, we suggest that the AC-Model might be applied to various conditions. And we also introduce the method for daylighting that it is possible to reduce discomfort glare and to improve visual impressions as the supplementary type and blind-control type on the compound lighting. And it was found that electric power consumption of the compound lighting room was lower than that of the uniform lighting room when as same lighting ratio of the compound lighting and the uniform lighting from the window was provided or there was the lighting distribution simulated to same light ratio from the window. Since the method of the ACModel was described in the experimental condition, additional studies should be performed to determine if this model could be applied to different window configurations, lighting layout and types of a room.
