Phase Only Pupil Filter Design Using Zernike Polynomials

  • A pupil filter is a useful technique for modifying the light intensity distribution near the focus of an optical system to realize depth of field (DOF) extension and superresolution. In this paper, we proposed a new design of the phase only pupil filter by using Zernike polynomials. The effect of design parameters of the new filters on DOF extension and superresolution are discussed, such as defocus Strehl ratio (S.R.), superresolution factor (G) and relative first side lobe intensity (M). In comparison with the other two types of pupil filters, the proposed filter presents its advantages on controlling both the axial and radial light intensity distribution. Finally, defocused imaging simulations are carried out to further demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed pupil filter on DOF extension and superresolution in an optical imaging system.

  • 본 논문에서는 광섬유 장주기 격자를 이용한 센서 신호처리 시스템을 구현하였다. SLD와 Fabry-Perot 필터를 이용한 동조 반도체 광원과 Fabry-Perot 필터내의 PZT의 히스테리시스 특성을 보상하기 위한 에탈론 필터를 사용하였으며, 절대적인 기준 파장을 제공하기 위하여 온도 안정화된 광섬유 브래그 격자를 사용하였다. 시스템에서 검출된 신호를 A/D 변환하여 컴퓨터로 입력하고 신호 처리하여 결과를 모니터상에 표시하였다.

Reduction of GPS Latency Using RTK GPS/GNSS Correction and Map Matching in a Car NavigationSystem

  • The difference between definition time of GPS (Global Positioning System) position data and actual display time of car positions on a map could reduce the accuracy of car positions displayed in PND (Portable Navigation Device)-type CNS (Car Navigation System). Due to the time difference, the position of the car displayed on the map is not its current position, so an improved method to fix these problems is required. It is expected that a method that uses predicted future positionsto compensate for the delay caused by processing and display of the received GPS signals could mitigate these problems. Therefore, in this study an analysis was conducted to correct late processing problems of map positions by mapmatching using a Kalman filter with only GPS position data and a RRF (Road Reduction Filter) technique in a light-weight CNS. The effects on routing services are examined by analyzing differences that are decomposed into along and across the road elements relative to the direction of advancing car. The results indicate that it is possible to improve the positional accuracy in the along-the-road direction of a light-weight CNS device that uses only GPS position data, by applying a Kalman filter and RRF.

선택적 광 투과에 따른 상추 생육특성 (Study of Lettuce Growth Characteristic on Selective Light Transmitting Filter Film Covered Greenhouse)

  • 필터 부착에 따른 모형온실 내에서 스펙트럼은 필터에 따른 파장 폭은 넓지만 각 파장대에 따른 피크치는 나타나는 것으로 조사되었다. 각각의 모형온실 내에서 조도 및 광량자속밀도를 측정한 결과 조도는 Blue필터를 부착한 온실이, 광량자 속밀도는 Red필터를 부착한 온실이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 투과율을 조사한 결과 필터를 부착한 온실이 대조구에 대비하여 약 30~40% 낮은 것으로 조사되었다. 적축면상추의 생육기간별 생체중과 건물중을 측정한 결과 대조구온실에서 정식 30일 후에 약 148g으로 가장 높았고, 다음으로 Red필터 부착온실에서 약 143g으로 높았다. 재배기간에 따른 광합성속도는 상추가 성장할수록 낮아지는 경향이었으나, Blue필터 온실은 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 수분이용효율은 큰 차이는 없었으나 Green영역에서 높은 것으로 조사되었고, 기공전도도는 대조군 온실이 가장 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 안토시아닌 함량은 모든 시험구에서 생육 후기로 갈수록 크게 감소하는 경향이었다.

WHITE LIGHT FLARE AT THE SOLAR LIMB

  • A white light flare was observed at the limb on 16 August 1989 in He 10830 ${\AA}$ spectra, H$\alpha$ slit jaw photo-grams, and white light filter-grams of ${\lambda}=5600{\AA}{\pm}800{\AA}$. The kernels of the white light flare are not spatially related with Ha brightenings, suggesting that the flare energy would be released at the photosphere.

광역학적 암진단을 위한 여기 광원장치의 개발 (Development of Excitation Light Source for Photodynamic Diagnosis of Cancer)

  • 본 논문은 광역학적 암 진단에서 여기광원(excitation light)으로 사용되는 광원장치의 개발에 관한 연구이다. 여기광원의 파장 대 선택은 광과민제의 선택에 따라 형광발생과 상관관계를 가지게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다양한 광 과민제(photosensitizer)를 이용한 광역학적 암 진단이 가능하도록, 여러 파장 대 광(multi-wavelength)의 선택과 안정적으로 출력할 수 있는 광원장치를 설계하고 개발하였다. 개발된 광원장치는 제논램프(Xenon lamp)를 이용 하였으며, iris를 통한 광 출력제어와 여러 가지 파장대의 필터로 구성된 필터 휠(filter wheel)을 고안하고, 파장 대는 380-420nm 430-480nm, 480-560nm의 파장 대를 출력할 수 있도록 제작하였으며, 광 전달 효율을 높일 수 있도록 광원 전송부도 고안하였다. 개발된 광원장치는 한국식약청의 허가 기준에 맞추어 성능을 평가하였으며, 광 출력과 파장대의 특성을 조사하고 안정성을 검증하였다.

필터뱅크에 적합한 새로운 구조를 갖는 저대역 튜너블 BPF에 관한 연구 (A Study on Low-Band Tunable BPFs with a Novel Structure Suitable for the Filter Bank)

  • In this paper, we present a tunable BPF with a novel structure. The filter is very useful to optimization of low frequency filter performance, because the fiilter has air-coils and tuning screws. This filter also has the merits of light weight and small size in comparison with conventional tunable filter at low frequency. This type filters are especially suitable for switched filter bank due to tuning structure. We designed 4 channel filter bank with two SP4Ts and 4 BPFs using novel structure. Tuning processes were subsequently executed. We obtained satisfactory performances as a result; consequently, the validity of our proposal was proved.

Clustering Red Wines Using a Miniature Spectrometer of Filter-Array with a Cypress RGB Light Source

  • Miniature spectrometers can be applied for various purposes in wide areas. This paper shows how a wellmade spectrometer on-a-chip of a low performance and low-cost filter-array can be used for recognizing types of red wine. Light spectra are processed through a filter-array of a spectrometer after they have passed through the wine in the cuvettes. Without recovering the original target spectrum, pattern recognition methods are introduced to detect the types of wine. A wavelength cross-correlation turns out to be a good distance metric among spectra because it captures their simultaneous movements and it is affine invariant. Consequently, a well-designed spectrometer is reliability in terms of its repeatability.

  • For a human being's smooth activity, the clean air and comfortable lighting environment are needed. The suitable lighting environment is obtained generally by making it available for being formed the bright situation easy for seeing object and the visually comfortable atmosphere. In this way, even the lighting environment was changed along with economic development. Even a light source was diversified. Thus, several kinds of new light sources such as LED, OLED, PLS, and CNT came to appear. Halogen lamp, which has low efficiency due to high color rendering among lamps of being used now, is being much used yet. However, owing to radiation of UV and IR, there are many limitations to the subject in general exhibition lighting, museum, and art museum. Accordingly, a research was performed on filter that is blocked UV and IR at the same time, by using halogen lamp that is excellent in color rendering and in life.

A Development of Polyester-based Non-woven Fabric Filter for Air Purifier Treated with Self-actuated Photocatalyst

  • We studied the photocatalytic functionality such as deodorant, antibacterial, fine dust collection efficiency of polyester-based non-woven fabric filter treated with self-actuated photocatalyst. According to UV/visible result, the UV-visible peak of visible-light responsive photocatalyst was found to be red shift at 420 nm sensitive in the visible light region. The deodorizing performance was shown to be reduced more than 80% even without dark conditions. Fine dust particles collection efficiency was shown to be excellent at the size of not only $2.5{\mu}m{\sim}10.0{\mu}m$ but also less than $2.5{\mu}m$. Also antimicrobial and antifungus was shown to be reduced more than 99.9%.
