반잠수식 해양 구조물 상부 모듈의 해상 결합 작업시 동하중 평가 (Evaluation of Mating Dynamic Forces of Semi-submersible Offshore Structure Topside Module)

  • This paper calculates the mating dynamic forces of a semi-submersible offshore structure's topside module, where a hull moored in the sea is combined with a topside module carried by a heavy lift vessel, as a mating installation method. The environmental conditions include various wave directions and wave heights, with constant wind and current speeds. Appropriate ballast and de-ballast plans for the heavy lift vessel and hull of the semi-rig should be performed in order to safely obtain these forces, whereas a fixed platform or the GBS (Gravity based structure) type of offshore structure only needs a ballast plan for the heavy lift vessel. From this paper, the allowable wave height or wave direction for the mating procedure can be investigated based on the standard DAF (Dynamic amplitude factor) of the rules and regulations.

Lifting Fan의 위치가 복합형 UAM의 공력특성에 미치는 영향 (Analysis with Lifting Fan Position of Hybrid UAM Aerodynamic Characteristics)

  • Recently, the development of UAM, which was named by NASA as an alternative to solve the traffic and environmental problems caused by the rapidly progressing urbanization. When designing UAM, the location of lift fans greatly affects the core technology of the eVTOL type, distributed electric propulsion technology and aerodynamic performance of the vehicle. In this paper, a hybrid UAM model was designed using OpenVSP, an open source aircraft configuration modeling program, and aerodynamic analysis was performed according to the lift fans position change by the vortex lattice method. As a result, it is confirmed that the flight parameters and trailing wakes are stable by fixing the lift fan with the state rotated 0° to the flow direction of the aircraft during cruise flight. Also, OpenVSP is a suitable tool to be used in aircraft configuration modeling and design.

비대칭 수직 접이식 로터세일의 성능 평가에 관한 수치해석 연구 (Numerical Study on the Aerodynamic Performance of Asymmetric Vertical Folding Rotor Sail)

  • The rotor sail is one of the representative devices in eco-friendly wind-assisted propulsion systems that have been practically applied to commercial ships. The present study proposes an asymmetric vertical folding rotor sail (AFRS) designed for small ships, featuring asymmetric geometry along the vertical direction and the function of vertical folding. To evaluate the aerodynamic performance of rotor sail, the drag, lift and lift-to-drag ratio were derived using computational fluid dynamics. The aerodynamic performance of AFRS was compared with that of normal rotor sail with different aspect ratios and spin ratios. The effect of geometric parameters on the aerodynamic performance of AFRS was assessed by varying the asymmetric diameter ratio. The maximum improvement in lift-to-drag ratio for AFRS was approximately 12% in the considered case. Additionally, the resistance is decreased when AFRS is vertically folded without rotating. Throughout the present study, improved aerodynamic and resistance performances for AFRS were confirmed, which will successfully provide additional propulsion to small ships.

아치형 단동하우스의 풍력계수 분포에 관한 연구 (Distribution of Wind Force Coefficients on the Single-span Arched House)

  • The wind pressure distributions were analyzed to provide fundamental criteria for the structural design on e single-span arched house according to the wind directions through the wind tunnel experiment. In order to investigate the wind force distributions, the variation of the wind force coefficients, the mean wind force coefficients, the drag force coefficients and the lift force coefficients were estimated by using the experimental data. The results obtained are as follows: 1. When the wind direction was normal to the wall, the maximum positive wind pressure along the height of the wall occurred approximately at two-thirds of the wall height because of the effects of boundary layer flow. 2. When the wind direction was 30$^{\circ}$ to the wall, the maximum positive wind force occurred at the windward edge of the wall. When the wind direction was parallel to the wall, the maximum negative wind force occurred at the windward edge of the wall. 3. The maximum negative wind force along the width of the roof appeared around the width ratio, 0.4, and that along the length of the roof appeared around the length ratio, 0.5. 4. According to the results of the mean wind force coefficients analysis, the maximum negative wind force occurred on the roof at the wind direction of 30$^{\circ}$. 5. The wind forces at the wind direction of 30$^{\circ}$ instead of 0$^{\circ}$ are recommended in the structural design of supports for a house. 6. To prevent partial damage of a house structure by wind forces, the local wind forces should be considered to the structural design of a house.

논문 : 날개끝 불어내기 장치가 있는 항공기의 공력특성에 관한 실험연구 (Papers : An Experimental Study of the Aerodynamic Characteristics Using the Wing - tip Jet Blowing at the Aircraft)

  • 훈련기의 1/12 축소 날개반쪽 모델 및 1/16 축소 완제기 전체모델에 날개끝 불어내기 방향이 다른 3가지 슬롯(전방 35도 방향, 날개방향, 후방35도 방향)을 장착하고, 또한 3가지 불어내기 운동량 계수 (0. 004, 0.009, 0.017)의 변화를 받음각의 증가에 따라 양력과 항력의 공력특성의 변화를 비교하였고, 반쪽모델에서는 전체모델과 같은 방법으로 날개 윗면의 압력을 측정하여 기본형과 비교하였다. 실험결과 날개방향으로 불어내기를 하였을 경우와 불어내기 운동량 계수가 0.017인 경우가 가장 큰 항력감소와 양항비의 증가를 나타냈으며, 받음각 8도에서 가장 큰 항력감소율과 양항비 증가율이 있었음을 알 수 있었다.

횡 방향으로 회전하는 구 주위의 유동특성 (Laminar Flow past a Sphere Rotating in the Transverse Direction)

  • Numerical simulations are conducted for laminar flow past a sphere rotating In the transverse direction, in order to investigate the effect of the rotation on the characteristics of flow over a sphere. The Reynolds numbers considered are Re=100, 250 and 300 based on the free-stream velocity and the sphere diameter, and the rotational speeds are in the range of $0{\leq}{\omega}{\leq}1$, where ${\omega}^{\ast}$ is the maximum velocity on the sphere surface normalized by the free-stream velocity. At ${\omega}^{\ast}=0$ (without rotation), the flow past the sphere experiences steady axisymmeoy, steady planar-symmetry and unsteady planar-symmetry, respectively, at Re=100, 250 and 300. However, with rotation, the flow becomes planar-symmetric for all the cases investigated and the symmetry plane is orthogonal to the axis of the rotation. The flow is also steady or unsteady depending on both the Reynolds number and the rotational speed, and the vortical structures behind the sphere are significantly modified by the rotation. For example, at Re=300, hairpin vortices completely disappear in the wake at ${\omega}^{\ast}=0.4\;and\;0.6$, and at ${\omega}^{\ast}=1$ vortical structures of a high frequency are newly generated due to the shear layer instability. It is also shown that with increasing rotational speed, the time-averaged drag and lift coefficients increase monotonically.

모형실험에 의한 장지간 트러스형 리프트 게이트의 진동 특성 (Dynamic Characteristics of the Long Span Truss-Type Lift Gate by Model Test)

  • An experimental study of model truss-type vertical gate consisting of a truss and a plate was presented in this paper to examine the structural dynamics of the gates. A 1:61 scale model was constructed for the 95 m prototype gate using an acrylic truss and an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene plate. The scaled model was tested in a 1.6 m wide concrete flume for two orientations to determine the effects of gate orientation on structural vibrations. Natural frequencies of the model gate was measured and calibrated with FEM predictions. Vertical vibrations were measured under various operational conditions, including a range of bottom opening heights and different upstream and downstream water levels. The gate model with reverse direction was preferred due to its low overall vibrational response and flow level combinations. The test results also provide a basic dataset for development of operations guidelines that minimize flow-induced vibrations of the gates.

터보프롭 항공기의 실속 특성 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis of Stall Characteristics for Turboprop Aircraft)

  • 프로펠러와 고양력장치를 장착한 터보프롭 항공기에 대한 실속 특성 분석을 위해 수치 해석을 수행하였다. 항공기의 실속 특성은 프로펠러와 고양력 장치의 장착 조합에 따른 형상별 전산해석 결과를 통해 정성적으로 분석하였다. 실속 특성 해석은 Spalart-Allmaras 난류 모델을 기반으로 한 3차원 Navier-Stokes 방정식 해법을 이용하였으며 프로펠러의 회전은 슬라이딩 격자기법을 이용하여 모사하였다. 분석 결과 순항 형상의 경우 동체/날개 페어링에서 주요 유동박리가 발생하며 프로펠러 후류로 인해 점차 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 고양력장치를 장착한 경우 나셀 바깥쪽에서 주요 유동박리 현상이 발생하였고 프로펠러가 회전하는 경우에도 상대속도 감소와 유효 받음각 증가로 나셀 바깥쪽 날개 부분은 조기에 실속에 잠김을 알 수 있었다. 프로펠러는 날개의 inboard에서 하강하는 회전 방향이 프로펠러 후류로 인한 실속 지연 측면에서 유리함을 알 수 있었다.

  • Most of life thing including human being have tendency of reaction with inherently their own pattern against environmental change caused by such as light, sound, smell etc. Especially, a sense of direction often works as a very important factor in such reaction. Actually, human or animal lift that can react instantly to a stimulus determine their action with a sense of direction to a stimulant. In this paper, we try to propose how to give a sense of direction to a robot using sound being representative stimulant, and tracking sensors being able to detect the direction of such sound source. We also try to propose how to determine the relative directions among devices or robots using the digital compass and the RSSI on wireless network.

트러스형 리프트 게이트의 설치방향에 따른 진동 특성 (Dynamic Characteristics of Truss-Type Lift Gate According to Installation Direction)

  • 본 연구에서는 수문의 설치방향에 따른 최적의 설치방향을 규명하기 위하여, 모형 제작에 의한 수문 진동실험을 수행하고, 진동특성이 연구되어진다. 47.5m 원형게이트가 아크릴을 사용하여 1:31 축척으로 제작되고, 납으로 질량이 보완된다. 먼저 모형을 검증하기 위하여 모형의 고유진동수가 측정되고, 원형 수문의 유한요소 해석 값으로 부터 환산된 고유진동수와 비교된다. 모형은 1.6m 폭을 갖는 콘크리트 수로에서 정방향과 역방향 설치에 따른 각각의 실험이 이루어 졌다. 각 방향 실험에서는 수문 개방고와 상하류 수위에 따른 여러 조건에서 수직진동이 측정되어 졌다. 실험결과를 바탕으로 정뱡향과 역방향 설치에 대한 진동현상을 서로 비교 분석하였다. 정방향 모형은 수문이 많이 열렸을 때 하단부의 수평트러스 부재를 치는 뒤돌아 치는 와류에 의하여 진동이 크게 발생하였고, 작은 개방고에서 suction force에 의한 진동이 발생하였다. 그러나 역방향 모형에서는 이러한 현상이 발생하지 않는다. 마지막으로 95m 수문의 진동실험결과와 본 47.m의 실험결과를 같이 비교하여 평가하였다. 실험결과 여러 실험 조건에서 진동이 작게 측정되는 역방향 배치 모형이 더 합리적인 것으로 분석되었다.
