The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic once again demonstrated how crucial it is to have unlimited access to scientific information. At the same time, the economic disparities that the pandemic revealed and aggravated made us realize that many of us cannot afford access to expert knowledge. While the international community is speculating about possible outcomes of the crisis, one can be said for sure, the pandemic accelerated many inevitable changes that would otherwise happen at a slower pace including increasing digitalization of the society and the expanding role of open data in the life of the academic community.

The purpose of this study was to find out the psychological characteristics of the unemployed, and their children's negative emotions and behavioral changes in the context of the increasing family dysfunction caused by the IMF economic crisis. The subjects were 184 public labor workers in Busan. They answered the questions about the psychological characteristics of themselves and their children, and their children's behavioral changes. Frequency analysis, $\chi$$^2$ test and logistic regression were used for data analyses. The results were as follows. The unemployed showed high levels of negative emotions and perceived their social supports as low. As well, they interpreted their quality of life as poor. They perceived their economic difficulty as high and the perception was influenced by negative emotions as well as the economic situation. Children of the unemployed showed middle levels of negative emotions, and positive and negative behavioral changes. These changes were influenced by their parent's psychological characteristics. In light of these results, psychological counseling services from social welfare centers are needed to be more actively supporting the families of the unemployed.

Jambangee's advertisements in spring 1998 attracted public attention by the differentiating message of 'nationalism'. The purpose of this paper is to interpret Korean youth's culture of consumption, value, thought and culture expressed in these advertisements. The semiotic analytic method of F. Saussure and R. Barthe were used. Metaphor and metonymy as interpretive tools were used. Two levels of meaning, denotation and connotation were examined, and idelogies and mythologies were sought. Contrary to the most of jean advertisements which show youth, characteristic style, western life style and westernized beauty, refinement, materialism, and social differentiation, Jambangee's advertisement showed nationalism and patriotism. These advertisements criticized that preference of imported goods and ostentation of purchasing power brought crisis of economy and I.M.F. system. Jambangee's jeans symbolized as the meaning of nationalism and patriotism were suggested as a way to save our country. Jambangee's advertisements are meaningful. Because we had accepted western fashion passively so far, but for the first time Jambangee applied Korean design elements to jeans and gave new meanings to them through the 'nationalism'campaign.

The terminology such as ecology, environment problems, ecosystems, ecofactory, and others related to environmental problems have been recently used in manufacturing systems, since the modern industries have to consider a global ecological crisis. The indifference of recent environmental problems which may be faced now has been paid attention to all engineering areas. In this paper, manufacturing functional requirements such as disassembly, disposal, disposal, or recycling are considered in the integrated product design development, which have not been considered well in the preliminary design stage. Those functions will contribute to reduce the waste and to long the product life cycle, which also satisfies the business benefits and customer requirements. The concurrent design concepts should be applied to integrate all possible factors. Therefore, few practical concurrent engineering tools are presented in here. The objective of this paper is to develop a called green manufacturing systems for integrated product design development by concurrent design concept which can give the desirable result in product design.

Keats is a poet who was in pursuit of 'the beautiful'. He tried to show various structures in his poetry to search for 'eternal pleasure'. These are explained in terms of 'metamorphosis', 'travel structure' and 'metamorphosis patterns', but put together, these can be expressed as simple terms of a dramatic structure. Especially We can assume this dramatic structure is the key to access his poetry on the basis of the fact that Keats always admired the world of drama and respected Shakespeare most. We can see Keats' dramatic structure in his poetry Ode to a Nightingale, Ode on a Grecian Urn. To Autumn and so on, and in these three poems, he was very successful in achieving unique poetic expression by inducing tension structure' through the dramatic structure of Introduction - development - crisis - climax - ending. In conclusion, his poetry achieved success in that he made clear his central theme, the pursuit of a beautiful and happy life through the application of a dramatic structure.

Purpose: Nowadays nursing is facing a constantly increasing shortage of employees. While there are many causes for the present nursing shortage, a major contributing factor is the revolution in fundamental values what we expect in life. An understanding of the change can assist in identifying interventions that can be used to address this crisis in healthcare. The purpose of this study is to identify the features they look for in work and the underlying factors of the work values domain. Methods: Using Q methodology, 37 nurses rated 34 selected Q-statements on a scale of 1-9. The collected data were analyzed using pc-QUNAL software. Results: The results showed that work values, which nurses indicate as most important through working, were perceived as 4 factors; 'compensation oriented', 'security oriented', 'professional role oriented' and 'freedom oriented' work value. Conclusion: Providing for these findings will result in greater job satisfaction among nurses, better nurse retention and enhanced patient care within a supportive and harmonious organization.

This study analyzed Korean adults' perceptions of family functions and qualities needed for strong families. The sample consisted of 806 adults living in Seoul. Among different family functions, love and emotional support were considered the most important for family strength, while religion and consumption as family functions were not perceived as important. The surveyed adults thought that the function of socialization was the most essential among the family functions according to Murdock's(1949) theory, which were, sexual, reproductive, socialization, and economic functions. They responded that the most needed qualities for strong families were commitment, followed by appreciation and affection, positive communication, ability to cope with stress and crisis, enjoyable time together, and spiritual wellbeing. Adults' perceptions of family functions needed for strong families explained 27% of the variance in perceptions of qualities needed for family strengths. Finally, this study provides recommendations for future research.

Recently due to the crisis of environment and resources, construction industry that effect a lot on nature than any other industries is essentially required to consider environmental element through the life cycle. Lots of advanced countries and Korea have already been running green building certification systems. However, GBCC(Green Building Certification Criteria) in Korea is lack of assessment criteria that apply environmental characteristics of tall building in compared with that in advanced countries. To improve the problem, we compared GBCC with LEED(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) through the case study. This study provides preliminary data for reflecting environmental characteristics of tall building in GBCC.

Korea dairy market has greatly expanded recently by growing up the consumer's demands of high quality of milk products and their functionality due to expanding of well being lift trends. However, life cycle of dairy products is shorter than ever before and low birth rate is a common trend of Korean people. Moreover due to the national economy crisis, most of dairy companies are faced with the pressure of new milk products development and their sales. This paper deals with the development of Korea dairy industry by chronological order and deals with the future applicable new dairy foods and advanced dairy technology.

Normal cells proliferate generally a limited number doublings in culture and only rarely have they been shown to overcome cellular senescence and crisis stages, and immortalize spontaneously. I have established a number of non-chemically and non-chemically immortalized embryo fibroblastic (EF) cell lines in continuous cell culture. These include the spontaneously immortalized cell line, DF-1 and several immortal EF cell lines derived from various embryonic tissues. I have previously demonstrated that all of the immortal EF cells established have rapid cell proliferation capacity compared to primary EF cells, presumably due to the deregulation of cell cycle regulators such as p53, E2F-1 and the numerous cyclins. DF-1 cells, in particular, were shown to proliferate more rapidly under normal culture conditions compared to other immortal EF cells, implicating other mechanisms may be important for regulating their growth. The possible mechanism(s) underlying the accelerated growth of DF-1 cells will be addressed in this study. (omitted)
