Because the interfaces between two different materials are the weak-link in the underground power transmission systems, they affects the stability of insulation systems. In this paper, Epoxy/EPDM interface is selected and investigated the optimum condition by variation of interfacial conditions such as roughness of surface, spreading of oils, interfacial pressure and temperature. The breakdown times under the constant voltage below the breakdown voltage were also gamed. The breakdown voltage at the after laying time equivalent to is calculated by the V-t characteristic and the inverse power law. When this is done. the characteristic life exponent n is used and the long time breakdown voltage can be evaluated.

In the traditional life testing model, it is assumed that a certain number of identical items are tested under identical condition. This is due to statistical rather than practical considerations. The proportional hazards model can be used to develop a realistic approach to determine the performance of an item. That is also capable of modeling the failure rates of accelerated life testing when the covariates are applied stresses. The proportional hazards model is typically applied for a group of items to assess the importance of factors that may influence the reliability of an item. In this paper we considered the interarrival times of an item rather than the time to first failure for grouped items and provided the availability estimation for the determination of maintenance policy and overhaul time. In order to demonstrate the proposed approach, an example is presented.

Studies have tried to apply remote sensing technology, a non-destructive survey method, instead of the existing destructive survey, which requires relatively large labor input and a long time to estimate chlorophyll content, which is an important indicator for evaluating the growth of fruit trees. This study was conducted to non-destructively evaluate the chlorophyll content of pear tree leaves using unmanned aerial vehicle-based hyperspectral imagery for two years(2021, 2022). The reflectance of the single bands of the pear tree canopy extracted through image processing was band rationed to minimize unstable radiation effects depending on time changes. The estimation (calibration and validation) models were developed using machine learning algorithms of elastic-net, k-nearest neighbors(KNN), and support vector machine with band ratios as input variables. By comparing the performance of estimation models based on full band ratios, key band ratios that are advantageous for reducing computational costs and improving reproducibility were selected. As a result, for all machine learning models, when calibration of coefficient of determination (R2)≥0.67, root mean squared error (RMSE)≤1.22 ㎍/cm2, relative error (RE)≤17.9% and validation of R2≥0.56, RMSE≤1.41 ㎍/cm2, RE≤20.7% using full band ratios were compared, four key band ratios were selected. There was relatively no significant difference in validation performance between machine learning models. Therefore, the KNN model with the highest calibration performance was used as the standard, and its key band ratios were 710/714, 718/722, 754/758, and 758/762 nm. The performance of calibration showed R2=0.80, RMSE=0.94 ㎍/cm2, RE=13.9%, and validation showed R2=0.57, RMSE=1.40 ㎍/cm2, RE=20.5%. Although the performance results based on validation were not sufficient to estimate the chlorophyll content of pear tree leaves, it is meaningful that key band ratios were selected as a standard for future research. To improve estimation performance, it is necessary to continuously secure additional datasets and improve the estimation model by reproducing it in actual orchards. In future research, it is necessary to continuously secure additional datasets to improve estimation performance, verify the reliability of the selected key band ratios, and upgrade the estimation model to be reproducible in actual orchards.

Physical importance of cutting temperatures has long been recognized. Cutting temperatures have strongly influenced both the tool life and the metallurgical state of machined surfaces. Temperatures in drilling processes are particularly important, because chips remain in contact with the tool for a relatively long time in a hole. Tool temperatures tend to be higher in drilling processes than in other in machining processes. This paper concerns with modeling of thermal behaviors in drilling processes as well as estimation of the cutting temperature distribution based on remote temperature measurements. One- and two-dimensional estimation problems are proposed to analyze drilling temperatures. The proposed thermal models are compared with solutions of finite element methods. Observer algorithms are developed to solve inverse heat conduction problems. In order to apply the estimation of cutting temperatures, approximation methods are proposed by using the solution of the finite element method. In two-dimensional analysis, a moving heat source according to feedrate of the drilling process is regarded as a fixed heat source with respect to the drilling location. Simulation results confirm the application of the proposed methods.

The Change of environment related to human life, science, technology, economics and education level have much effect on home life. Therefore Home Economics Education have to get out of past trite concept that it is only a method to become good housewife and take the role to widen the human life and to grow creative power as a academic part of science. For these, Home Economics should become life education, life education of secondary school has to have relation to lifelong education. To achieve effective result from Home Economics Education, the object, system and methods of Home Economics Education, the object, system and methods of Home Economics Education have to be improved and teaching material has to be studied systematically. As an object of aboves and education planning in clothing is made for deep understanding the study of Home Economics Teaching Material. And to understand the real state, made some questions, had interview with 63-teaching in Kangweon province and show the results. 1) Tab 1~20 are the level of recognition about object, teaching content, time structure of secondary school. The object is recognized as cultural education and basic job education. 2) Tab 21~30 show the real state of textbook and study of it. To take effect from school lecture other teaching material except textbook is required. 3) Tab 31~40 are the result of sewing and handicraft practice. Sewing and handicraft needs much time and almost all time is used in practicing. 4) Tab 42~54 are the planning of textbook study for effective teaching, self-estimation and teaching material making is also considered. All above is collarless blouse’s planning. Base on above result, all objects of clothing life should be teached. For the development of Home Economics Education 1) Understanding and affection of teachers is required. 2) To solve indicated problem, national policy, education plan in school and education finance are fully supported. 3) More studies is required in Home Economics Education.
Even though the blood pressure is one of the most widely used index for the healthcare monitoring of hypertensive and normotensive persons, there is no non-intrusive measurement method which is commercialized until now. Pulse Arrival Time (PAT) is known that it has close relation with the systolic blood pressure (SBP) and arterial stiffness. In this study, SBP estimation methods by non-intrusive measurement of PAT are suggested. For the unconstrained measurement of PAT, the first method used the electrically non contact electrocardiogram (ENC-ECG) technique and the reflective type of Photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor on the computer mouse. In the second method, ENC-ECG and the air pressure sensor in the seat cushion on a chair were measured. The third method used ECG electrodes and PPG sensors on the toilet seat cover. The validation and regression analysis of the relationship of PAT and SBP are summarized. These methods have considerable errors to be used for all people. But these can be applied for each subject after the parameter customization within acceptable error. So, it is feasible for suggested methods to be used for monitoring of SBP in daily life in non-intrusive way when there is personal identification system of each subject.

In this study, the Inverse-type (: Inverse-Exponential, Inverse-Rayleigh) life distribution, which is known to be suitable for reliability research, was applied to a software development cost model based on finite failure NHPP(: Nonhomogeneous Poisson Process), and then the attributes that determine the model's performance were analyzed. Additionally, to evaluate the efficiency of the model, it was compared with the Goel-Okumoto basic model. The performance of the model was analyzed using failure time data, and MLE (: Maximum Likelihood Estimation) was applied to calculate the parameters. In conclusion, first, as a result of analyzing m(t), which determines the development cost, the Inverse-Exponential model was efficient due to its small error in the true value. Second, as a result of analyzing the release time along with the development cost, the Inverse-Rayleigh model was confirmed to be the best. Third, as a result of comprehensive evaluation of the attributes (m(t), cost, and release time) of the proposed model, the Inverse-Rayleigh model had the best performance. Therefore, if software developers can effectively utilize this research data in the early process, they will be able to proactively explore and analyze attributes that affect cost.
International cooperation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is expected to provide a big crisis and a great opportunity at the same time for our industry that heavily consumes energy. To cope actively with the international environmental regulation, such as the Framework Convention on Climate Change, quantitative measurement of the volume of greenhouse gases emitted by various industries and quantitative prediction of the greenhouse gas emissions of the future are becoming more important than anything else at the national level. This study aims to propose the calculation process of carbon dioxide($CO_2$) emission for building in life cycle. This paper describes and compares 9 different tool for environmental load estimation with LCA. This study proposed the calculation process for quantitatively predicting and assessing $CO_2$ emissions during the life cycle of buildings based on the life cycle assessment(LCA). The life cycle steps of buildings were divided into the design/supervision, new construction, repair, renovation, use of operating energy in buildings, maintenance, and reconstruction stage in the life cycle inventory analysis and the method of assessing the environmental load in each stage was proposed.

This paper presents an optimum design of step-stress partially accelerated life test (PALT) plan which allows the test condition to be changed from use to accelerated condition on the occurrence of fixed number of failures. Various life distribution models such as exponential, Weibull, log-logistic, Burr type-Xii, etc have been used in the literature to analyze the PALT data. The need of different life distribution models is necessitated as in the presence of a limited source of data as typically occurs with modern devices having high reliability, the use of correct life distribution model helps in preventing the choice of unnecessary and expensive planned replacements. Truncated distributions arise when sample selection is not possible in some sub-region of sample space. In this paper it is assumed that the lifetimes of the items follow Truncated Logistic distribution truncated at point zero since time to failure of an item cannot be negative. Optimum step-stress PALT plan that finds the optimal proportion of units failed at normal use condition is determined by using the D-optimality criterion. The method developed has been explained using a numerical example. Sensitivity analysis and comparative study have also been carried out.

Due to its short half-life, thoron gas has been assumed to have negligible health hazards on humans compared to radon. But, one of the decay products with a long half-life can make it to be transported to a long distance and to cause a severe internal dose through respiration. Since most commercial radon detectors can not discriminate thoron signals from radon signals, it is very common to overestimate radon doses which in turn result in biased estimation of lung cancer risk in epidemiological studies. Though some methods had been suggested to measure thoron and radon separately, they could not be used for real-time measurement because of CR-39 or LR-115. In this study, an effective method was suggested to measure radon and thoron separately from the free air. It was observed that the activity of thoron decreases exponentially due to delay time caused by a long pipe between two chambers. Therefore from two ion chambers apart in time, it was demonstrated that thoron and radon could be measured separately and simultaneously. We also developed a collimated alpha source and with this source and an SBD, we could convert the ion chamber reading to count rate in cps.
