This present study purposed to propose a plan of building a future oriented school library that supports teachers' teaching with various multimedia and Internet materials applicable in class immediately, helps students' self directed learning activities, and plays its role as a cultural center of the local community. As for research methods, this study examines the basic directions and characteristics of school libraries defined by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development, and investigates the current state of school libraries. In addition, we survey cases of library plans in Incheon, and suggest standards for planning and propose a plan. Ultimately, we establish a library plan for S Elementary School in Incheon and execute the plan and, in the course, derive ideas for satisfying students' demands with regard to their sentiment, stable and flexible layout and flow lines, facilities and space within the library, etc. What is more, we create indexes for library planning so that school libraries can contribute to various cultural activities and the development of local community beyond their functions as school library facilities.

This paper surveyed the theoretical backgrounds of digital library. Its definition and function and case studies, and basic skills for system construction of digital library were suggested. The differences between the traditional library and the digital library were compared. And the conditions that should be take into consideration of digital library construction were suggested. Suggestions are summarized as follows : 1. For the construction of digital library, library collection should be digitalized by using CD-ROM and commercial online services. 2. The digitalization of library collection should be planned by subject sharing between the libraries. For the control of this cooperation, the orgnization to propel the digitalization should be established. And it is necessary to enact the standards for the digital library. 3. The connection between MARC formatted bibliographic database and full-text should be studied. 4. All the types of information about texts, pictures, sounds and if films should be also digitalized. 5. To satisfy the needs of many users, we have to establish the various users's interface which is fitted for several kinds of users. 6. When a digital library was constructed, the copyright and resources sharing must be guranteed depending on the cost of database's usage. 7. Because the digitalization of library will be related to the various kinds of libraries, the interface for resources sharing will be constantly concerned. 8. The sharing of information resources between the libraries will be enacted on the Internet. And we must be interested in various internet tools such as telecommunication softwares, media convert programs, etc. 9. By training staffs continously, all libraries must be ready to come the library in the future.

본 연구는 문헌정보학 전공의 교육과정에서 NCS를 적용한 교과목을 실제로 운영한 교수자들의 경험을 FGI 조사를 통해 심층적으로 분석하여, 향후 NCS 기반의 교육과정 설계 및 운영의 개선에 기여하고자 수행되었다. 분석 결과는 첫째, 교육현장에 도입된 NCS에 대해 교수자들은 전반적으로 NCS의 취지와 배경을 잘 알고 있었고, 문헌정보학 NCS 교과과정에 대해 직무요소 도출의 비 적절성, 실제 교육 및 실무현장의 의견 미반영, NCS 분류체계의 문제 등을 제시하였다. 둘째, NCS 교과 운영 경험에서는 산출물 서류 작업의 부담감, 평가의 방법이나 시기의 차별성, 학생과의 의사소통 필요성에 대한 의견 등이 제시되었다. 셋째, NCS 교과 운영의 문제점에 대해서는 적절한 수업인원 및 교육시간의 부여 필요성, 추가 교육시간 및 재평가의 필요성, NCS 교육과정 운영을 위한 지원시스템의 구축 필요성, 실습기자재의 구비 필요성, 상대평가제도와 NCS 평가제도와의 불일치 문제, 교육현장 및 실무에 적용될 수 있도록 능력단위와 수행준거의 보완 필요성 등을 제기하였다. 넷째, 향후 NCS 교과의 개선방안에 대해서는 수업인원의 적절한 배정, 실습기자재의 충분한 지원, 문헌정보학 분야의 특수성 및 현장 실무와 경험을 반영한 능력단위 및 능력단위요소의 개선 등이 제시되었다. 이러한 분석결과를 기반으로 문헌정보학 전공에서 향후 NCS에 기반을 둔 적절한 교육과정 설계 및 운영을 위한 몇 가지 시사점을 제시하였다.

이 연구의 목적은 '도서관과 정보생활' 교육과정 기준이 교과서로 실현되는 과정을 살펴보고, 추후 교과서 개발에 적용할 수 있는 시사점을 찾는 것이다. 『도서관과 정보생활』(2011)은 교육과정 기준에 따라 체계적으로 개발된 인정 교과서로, 교육과정 기준과 교과서는 형식이든 내용이든 반드시 일치해야 한다. 이를 위하여 교육과정 기준의 '주제'와 교과서의 '중단원'의 개수 대응 수준을 파악하였다. 그 결과, 초등학교와 중학교는 하나의 '주제'가 둘 안팎의 '중단원'으로 확산되는 '일대다' 대응 수준을 맺는 반면, 고등학교는 둘 안팎의 '주제'가 하나의 '중단원'으로 수렴하는 '다대일' 대응 수준을 맺는 경향으로 나타났다. 또한 단일 내용 체계인 초등학교 교육과정 기준은 학년급별 저학년과 고학년을 구분해 교과서로 개발되었다는 점을 참고할 때 초등학교급별을 고려한 교육과정 기준의 교육내용, 주제 명칭 등 일부 조정이 필요하다.

The art museums in South Korea are mostly small-scaled institutions with small amount of art works. Thus, internationally accepted metadata standards such as CDWA and VRA Core may not be efficient to manage their collections. Because of these distinct local characteristics, there is a need to create a set of metadata elements that can be used for the art museum community in the country. This research aims to propose a set of metadata elements customized to fit into the context of small-scaled art museums in South Korea. The construction of the element set was not from scratch but on the basis of existing standards such as CDWA, VRA Core, and Dublin Core. By identifying core elements that are indispensable in describing art works and collecting opinions of experts in art museums, the proposed set of metadata elements is expected to support the operation and management of art works and satisfy the localized needs of the art museum community.

이 논문에서는 디지털 포맷의 기본 유형을 정의하였고, 미국의 NISO와 LC, 그리고 덴마크의 국가 및 대학 도서관/왕립 도서관의 디지털 포맷 선정 기준의 사례를 소개하였다. 이를 분석 및 종합하여 5가지 유지관리 측면의 선정 요인(설명성, 독립성, 일관성, 범용성, 품질)과 품질 및 기능성 선정 요인을 얻었다. 이를 기반으로 도서관을 위한 디지털 정보자원에 대한 포맷 선정 전략을 제시하였다.

이 논문은 정보이용교육을 위해 정보처리학습모형을 사용할 것을 추천하고 있다. 정보처리학습모형은 심리적 도구로서 적절히 사용하면 학생들의 자기주도적, 자율적 학습, 창의성 함양, 학력제고를 도모할 수 있고 학생들의 정보이용능력을 미국학교도서관 협회와 교육공학회에서 제정한 정보이용능력기준에 미치도록 훈련하는 것이 쉽다고 주장한다. 이러한 주장은 정보처리학습모형을 사용할 때 사용하는 정보기술내역과 정보이용능력기준을 대비시킴으로서 규명하고 있다.

대표적인 통제어휘인 시소러스는 지난 50년간 정보의 색인과 검색을 위한 도구로 널리 활용되어 왔다. 이러한 흐름에 발 맞추어 다양한 주제분야에서의 시소러스 개발을 위한 지침을 제공하기 위해 국제표준 및 국가표준이 개발되었으며, 최근 들어 시소러스 관련 표준의 개정작업이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 시소러스 관련 표준으로 ISO 25964와 BS 8723이 대표적인 사례이다. 본고에서는 이러한 표준의 개정 현황을 살펴보고 변화된 내용과 그 시사점을 도출하여 보았다. 이러한 고찰 결과를 기반으로 오늘날의 새로운 정보환경 아래에서 시소러스가 제공할 수 있는 새로운 기능과 그 기능을 수행하기 위해 필요한 요소들을 제시하였다.

도서관 통계는 내부적으로 도서관업무를 파악하고 평가하기 위하여, 외부적으로 사회 속에서 도서관이 얼마나 중요한 기관인가에 대한 가치와 업적을 표현하는 수단이다. 동시에 기존의 사회지표, 문화지표와도 체계를 같이 하여야 한다. 이러한 기준 하에서 미국 국가정보표준화기구(NISO)에서 개발한 도서관통계기준, 캐나다의 도서관핵심통계 등 주요국가의 도서관통계를 살피고, 전문가를 통한 델파이기법을 통한 조사를 거쳐 7개부문, 31개 한국도서관통계 항목을 개발하였다. 또한 사회지표 및 문화지표 내의 도서관 관련 지표항목으로 6개 분야 21개항목을 제시하였다.

이 연구는 국내에서 전혀 논급되지 않은 러시아의 도서관 행정체계와 법제를 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 1991년 소비에트연방이 붕괴된 이후, 러시아는 새로운 정치적, 법적, 경제적 시스템을 도입하기 시작하였다. 현재 러시아에는 약 51,000개의 공공도서관이 있으며, 대체로 행정구역을 중심으로 중앙집중적 시스템으로 운영되고 있다. 연방정부의 도서관 주무부처는 문화부이며, 1994년에 핵심법제인 ‘도서관법’과 ‘납본법’을 제정하였다. 그리고 2001년에는 러시아도서관협회가 ‘공공도서관 모델기준’을 공표하였으며, 사서집단과 지방행정청이 이를 준용하고 있다.
