  • Purpose: This study attempts to find how the cultural marketing activities utilizing cultural space affect firm's brand image and brand loyalty, and whether this culture marketing technique is recognized as a social contribution activity by potential customers and thereby influence brand image and loyalty. Methods: The data was collected by using the structured questionnaires to consumers who have experience using the Naver Library, Starfield Library, and Hyundai Card Library. The proposed research model is tested using 178 valid questionnaires using Smart PLS 2.0. Results: This research indicated that among cultural marketing factors, cultural support and cultural promotion have little impact on brand image, whereas culture firm influence brand image. Brand image also had an impact on brand loyalty, but it was found that public libraries operated by companies were not recognized as corporate social contribution activities, nor did they have an impact on the formation of the company's brand image. Conclusions: The study offered a theoretical and empirical foundation for future research by empirically identifying the relationship between cultural marketing and brand image and loyalty and confirmed the coordinating effect of social contribution activities between a cultural firm and its brand image.

First, reliability and publicity was the most highly rated and service satisfaction was the least highly rated. Second, when it was expressed with service quality image, there was no large difference. Third, reliability-providing useful information, publicity-fair treatment, and tangibles-convenient facility had positive images. On the other hand, access-good traffic condition, responsiveness-providing prompt new information, and tangibles-comfortable facility had negative images. Fourth, higher age group had lower mean value from teens to sixties.

  • This study utilizes structural equation modeling process to identify contributing factors that have been extracted through the first study of exploring library service and image building related factors. This study, specifically, tests the relationships between endogenous and exogenous variables that are assumed to have inherent relationships when building public library service image. As denoted from the first study, this one uses three dimensions and nine conceptual level constructs and 20 different measurement items for further test. The results of this study is that particular items to measure the image for the users would not have been fitted to the other set of samples. Also, there are differences between the two employee groups in the recognitions of images.

  • As the improvement of digital technologies increases the use of images from various fields, the domain of image retrieval has evolved and become a growing topic of research in the Library and Information Science field. The purpose of this study is to identify the knowledge structure of the image retrieval domain by using the author co-citation analysis and author bibliographic coupling as analytical tools in order to understand the domain's past and present. The data set for this study is 245 articles with 8,031 cited articles in the field of image retrieval from 1998 to 2013, from the Web of Science citation database. According to the results of author co-citation analysis for the past of the image retrieval domain, our findings demonstrate that the intellectual structure of image retrieval in the LIS field consists of predominantly user-oriented approaches, but also includes some areas influenced by the CBIR area. More specifically, the user-oriented approach contains six specific areas which include image needs, information seeking, image needs and search behavior, image indexing and access, indexing of image collection, and web image search. On the other hand, for CBIR approaches, it contains feature-based image indexing, shape-based indexing, and IR & CBIR. The recent trends of image retrieval based on the results from author bibliographic coupling analysis show that the domain is expanding to emerging areas of medical images, multimedia, ontology- and tag-based indexing which thus reflects a new paradigm of information environment.

  • With the development of industrial technology an amount of information has sharply increased and an information-oriented society had come. This information environment changed the function of library. Today's public library not only save and record the information but also encourages residents to use information and culture activities such as lifelong education. As the library plays a variety role, it has become an multiplex space. Added new function, various space has formed and each space requires their own interior images that fits it's character. • The primary purpose of this study is to understand academic library service as a brand and a set of brand offerings. Based on previous studies, the study has built a classification of three distinctive perceptual aspects of library services; perceptual aspect of the service, experiential aspect of the service, and functional aspect of service. Eleven measurement items and 45 questions that are subject to the items are studied and employed from previous studies, each of the items were allocated through Item Response Theory (IRT) test and cluster analysis to filter in items of substantial contribution to the constructs as well as filtering out less contributable ones. The study shows there are 27 effective items to understand and measure library service as a brand.

  • In the 21st century, university library is changing into a new paradigm. Among others, color image emerges as an important aspect of the library. Up to now, studies on colors of indoor space have been limited on partial and specific spaces. But, this study, using the tool of emotional evaluation, aims to do a comprehensive research on color image of the whole space. This research uses the H University library completed in March 2015. This research is performed in the following procedure. First, previous related researches for the past ten years from 2005 to 2015 is examined, which will help understand the trends in this kind of research, and set up the concrete goal of research. By literature review, color image is established in the environmental psychological aspect. Second, to analyze colors, all the spaces of the library from the entrance lobby are filmed. Filmed images are changed into mosaic, and color palettes are composed, and color values are calculated using the Munsell color system. Third, emotional words are extracted, and emotional evaluation is made. Using the Semantic Differential scale method, emotional differences among subjects are compared, and the validity of the survey data is tested using the statistical program SPSS 18.0. As the outcome of the research shows, the color image and emotion in space are closely related. And, through emotion, it is possible to get color image, and this aspect can be scholastically systemized and developed.

  • The growth of digital image an video archives is increasing the need for tools that efficiently search through large amount of visual dta. Retrieval of visual data is important issue in multimedia database. We are using contented-based visual data retrieval method for efficient retrieval of visual data. In this paper, we introduced fundamental techniques using characteristic values of image data and indexing techniques required for content-based visual retrieval. In addition we introduced content-based visual retrieval system for use of digital library.

  • This is to present the information and direction about color scheme image and adjective image in designing web page, by analysing the color image of our country's National University library's web page which is being operated now. The analysis method is to find the RGB of objective site through color emotion standard and to abstract the color chip. It is divided by color scheme image and adjective image. The scope of research is 41 National University libraries registered in National University Libraries Association. The result is that white and grey color of background and colors like light blue and green are main. In case of adjective image, nimble image and clear image was many. next is orderly bellowing image. and elegant image.

  • Positioning technique which has been widely used for making marketing strategy by analyzing customer's image also has been used for public and test-taker's image analysis about public facilities, entrepreneurs, universities. This study analyze image of library and Information science students who trying to find a job in library fields about diverse types of library and information centers by Positioning technique. As a result of Similarity cognition analysis by multidimensional Scaling and K-means clustering, it was found that students recognize that public, national, university, school library are similar, on the other hand, portal company and special library are different from those types. In the jobs, user service jobs and technical service jobs are recognized as separated clusters, and cultural program job is also recognized dissimilarly from those clusters. By the way, images about work satisfaction and stability of employment shows high in national library; high wage shows high in portal company; employee's growth potential shows high in special library; job importance shows high in reference service jobs; difficulty shows high in content's job. Anyway, in the workplace selection, almost students regard stability of employment as top priorities, accordingly they prefers public library at most. Such a preference concentration tendency is strongly appeared in local university students than in metropolitan area students as a result of Pearson's chi-square test.
