Proposing a Pre-service Teacher Training Program for the Gifted Education

  • Since 1998, an elementary teacher education institute in Korea has hosted the center for the gifted education. The institute hired undergraduate students to escort and liaison each class of the gifted student participants with assisting classroom activities. These liaison teachers observed the gifted classroom activities and evaluated them by using a given checklist and filling out pre-made evaluation forms. Currently this system is being transferred from part-time jobs for students to earn allowance into well organized pre-service teacher program focusing on the gifted education. In other words, the purpose of system is being shifted from how liaison teachers facilitate the gifted program to how the system helps the liaison teachers to be quality teachers for the gifted who can understand what the gifted are and how to facilitate them. Analyzed were the self reports of the liaison teachers regarding their perceptions and beliefs of the gifted and their education program. It was found participant liaison teachers purposed to have more live experiences with getting along with students as well. Liaison teachers’ perceptions on establishing a gifted teacher professional education sequence were reported in this study. The potential scaffolding of the pre-service teacher education program model of the gifted education was provided as a consequence of this study.

대학도서관 리에종서비스 운영방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Operational Plan of Liaison Service at Academic Libraries)

  • 대학도서관이 이용자 서비스를 극대화하는 방법 중의 하나는 도서관과 이용자를 연결하여 맞춤형 책임 서비스를 구현하는 리에종 서비스의 실행이다. 본 연구의 목적은 대학도서관의 리에종 서비스의 운영 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 리에종 서비스의 필요성과 리에종 사서의 정의 및 역할을 살펴보고, 국내외 대학 도서관의 리에종 사서의 활동과 업무 내용을 사례 조사한 후, 이를 토대로 대학도서관의 리에종 서비스 운영방안을 제시하였다. 구체적인 운영 방안은 대학도서관에서 리에종 서비스를 실행하는데 참고할 수 있는 리에종 서비스의 조직, 운영절차, 운영내용 등이다.

영재교육원의 보조교사 활동에 참여한 예비교사의 영재교육에 대한 인식 (Perception of Pre-service Teacher who Participated into Liaison Teacher on the Gifted Education)

  • 본 연구에서는 운영방식이 다른 영재교육 기관의 보조교사 활동에 참여한 예비교사의 영재교육에 대한 인식을 분석하고자 하였다. C지역의 대학부설 과학영재교육원과 교육청 지원 기숙형 영재교육원의 보조교사 활동에 참여한 예비교사 74명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하였고, 분석된 결과를 바탕으로 7명을 심층 면담하였다. 연구 결과, 학기 중에 이루어지는 두 영재교육원 간의 교육 분야, 교육 일정, 교육 방법의 차이에 따라 보조교사의 영재성과 영재교육 담당 교사의 자질에 대한 인식이 다르게 나타났다. 대다수 보조교사는 주요 역할인 수업 관찰에서 어려움을 가장 많이 느끼며 이와 관련된 체계적인 연수의 필요성을 제안하였다. 영재교육 현장에서 장기간의 실제적 지도 경험을 가진 보조교사의 영재교육에 대한 인식을 바탕으로 영재교육을 위한 예비교사 훈련 방법에 대한 개선책을 찾아보고 영재교육원의 운영 방향을 재조명하고자 하였다.

암 환자의 정신사회적 치료 (Psychosocial Management of Cancer Patients)

  • The author presented several points of experienced materials obtained from the joint meetings of consultation-liaison Psychiatric division with oncologic department in Kyung Hee University Hospital. The joint meetings which have been held regularly every other week were very helpful not only for the psychiatrist but also for the cancer department stags to manage the cancer patients actively. The joint meetings have been progressed into more cohesive and active communication as time goes by. Most of the subjects discussed in the meeting was focused on the psychological and behavioral problems of the cancer patients. Besides, the difficulties arising from the chemotherapy were discussed. Probably the most difficult task for the treatment team was to provide complete information while respecting the patient's right to deny their situation The liaison psychiatrist usually gave comments to the charge doctor and/or nusing staff how to evaluate the patient's behavior and what would be the influential factors in developing the doctor-patient relationship. It was found that many cancer patients and their family members had their own peculiar illness behavior and disease concept which led patients to take non-medical or moreover, anti-therapeutic care. The family members were found to play an influential role in the choice of treatment method and progression of the disease. Another role of the liaison psychiatrist in the oncology ward was to encourage the treatment team members. In the practical point of view, it was not easy for the liaison psychiatrist to have time regularly for the cancer patients to encourage the liaison activities. And it seems to be fundamental that the consultation fee for the liaison psychiatrist should be set up at the resonable level.

신체질환이 있는 소아청소년의 정신신체의학적 관리-총론 (Psychosomatic Management of Medically Ill Children and Adolescents)

  • 소아청소년에서의 정신신체의학은 자문조정 정신의학이라고도 불리며 신체적 질환이 있는 소아청소년에서의 정신건강 서비스를 제공하는 것으로, 정신과에서는 정신사회학적 질병모델에 익숙한 반면 타과 의료진의 경우 생의학적 질병모델에 입각하여 접근하기 때문에 원활한 의사소통을 통한 타과 의료진과의 협업 체계 구축이 중요하다. 신체질환이 있는 소아청소년의 정신과적 문제에 대해서는 개별 질환에 초점을 맞추고 의학적 심리적 정신과적 인자들의 상호작용과 그 영향을 밝히는 범주적 접근법과 질병에 걸렸다는 사실로 인하여 스트레스를 경험하는 아동 자체에 대한 접근에 주안점을 두는 비범주적 접근법으로 나눌 수 있다. 이러한 신체질환이 있는 소아청소년의 치료에 그들의 발달단계에 맞는 고유한 치료기법의 적용이 필요하다. 비약물학적인 치료의 경우 경험적으로 입증된 치료(empirically supportive therapy)들을 구분하려는 시도도 이루어지고 있다.

사회복지교육에서의 서비스러닝 적용 연구 (A Study on Implementation of Service-Learning in Social Work Education)

  • While the endeavor to introduce the service activity in the college education is enlarged, the object of this study is to introduce the concept of service learning in social work education. The 'content centered service-learning' is focusing on the practical education, the liaison and participation in community and the promotion of civil awareness which are very important in social work education that focuses on the interest and participation in the human and social problem as practical study. This study contemplates the educational effect of the course of social work combined with service learning. This study verifies the self-efficacy, the altruism, the change of social responsibility of students and the effect by carrying out the course of social welfare and service activities side by side. To evaluate the effect of service learning, pre and post test and qualitative analysis in journal of service activity, the discussion during the class and the mid and final term evaluation were done. Through the service learning, students showed the promotion in self-esteem, the altruism, the social responsibility, the self insights as a social worker and were able to have the chance to consider their future job. From the view point of local centers, it was evaluated that the service activity of students was helpful to the institutions and the clients, and that the liaison between the community agency and the college and the experience of integration of service learning and the course of social welfare was helpful too. Based on the above mentioned results, this study provide some recommendations in implementation of service-learning as the teaching methodology of social work.

옥시토신의 약물중독에서 역할과 침(鍼) 관련성 (A Potential Role of Oxytocin and Acupuncture in Drug Addiction)

  • Oxytocin(OT), classically known to stimulate labour and milk ejection, contributes to play an important role in a wide range of behavioral effects including drug addiction. An increasing body of evidence suggests that OT ameliorates acute and long-term effects of commonly used drugs by means of interacting with the mesolimbic dopamine system. Mesolimbic dopamine system is thought to play a major role in the reinforcing properties of drug abuse. Oxytocin receptors in the nucleus accumbens(NAc) and ventral tegmental area(VTA) have been implicated in the regulation of reinforcing effects in abused drugs. In the same way acupuncture may attenuate the reinforcing effects of abused drugs in the NAc and VTA. We have an interest in similar liaison between the substrates of acupuncture and drug addiction that may involve OT. Here, we described the possibility that acupuncture modulates the reinforcing and sensitizing properties of abused drugs in the dopaminergic system via the regulation of activities in the oxytocinergic system. The elements in this paper are summarized as follows : neuroanatomical studies of oxytocinergic innervation and distribution of oxytocin receptors; experiments related to the methamphetamine, cocaine, morphine and ethanol; experiments related to the oxytocin and acupuncture.

한국 도서관학 교육의 전망 (The Prospects of Library Education in Korea)

  • The purpose of this paper is to forecast the future of library education in Korea. Toward this purpose, first, the historical events of library education in the United States of America and in the United Kingdom are introduced along with the IFLA Standards for Library Schools and the Unesco's General Information Programme. Secondly, the theoretical foundations of library education are extracted from the events. Thirdly, the factors influencing library education as well as library developments are identified, and, finally, the prospects of library education are forecasted in the light of the various factors in the Korean society and the theoretical foundations. The prospects are forecasted as follows: 1. The education for information science will be incorporated in library education. 2. The number of courses related to library services and uses will be increased. 3. The students should be provided with enough hands-on experiences to be familiar with new information technology. 4. The cooperation between library schools and libraries will be reinforced. 5. The departments of library science will cooperate with other departments in the universities in order to utilize the expertise and facilities. 6. The education of graduate schools will be specialized to produce subject specialist librarians and the undergraduate education will produce public and school librarians. 7. Opportunities for continuing education will be provided more and librarians encouraged to participate in those activities. 8. Library association should actively be involved in library education as a provider of continuing education or as a liaison between library schools and libraries. 9. The courses of foundations including library history, library research and preservation of culture will never be neglected.

학교폭력 예방을 위한 사회안전망의 구상 (The Plan of Social Security network for Prevention of School Violence)

  • 학교폭력 예방을 위한 정책대안을 찾으려는 노력이 큰 성과를 거두지 못하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 마침 부산지역에서 최초 시행하여 전국에 걸쳐 시범 실시되고 있는 스쿨폴리스(배움터지킴이)제도는 전직경찰과 전직교사가 협력하여 학교 폭력 예방을 위한 순찰과 상담 등의 활동을 전개하는 제도로서 관계기관이 유기적으로 협력하여 네트워크로서 활동한 초보적 사회안전망이라는 의미가 있지만 근본적인 학교폭력 문제의 해결을 위해서는 보완되어야 할 문제점도 가지고 있다. 이 논문은 배움터지킴이 제도의 문제점을 보완함으로써 가정과 학교, 경찰과 지역사회가 유기적으로 연계하여 학교폭력의 근본적 예방을 위해 협력하는 종합적 사회안전망의 모형을 구상하고자 하였다. 학교폭력의 예방은 학교만의 노력으로는 불가능하며 사회구성원 모두의 참여를 필요로 한다는 관점에서 구성원의 유기적 협조체제 구축은 중요한 일이라고 할 수 있다. 사회안전망의 기본적 얼개를 구상함에 있어서는 지역사회경찰활동과 적극적 경찰활동기법 그리고 환경설계를 적용한 방범활동기법의 이론을 배경으로 하였다. 또한 학교폭력예방 및 대책에 관한 법률의 기본골격과 조화를 맞추기 위해 학교폭력대책자치위원회의 기능을 확대하고, 117학교폭력긴급지원센터의 신고 및 상담접수기능과 연결하여 집행기능을 수행하는 학교폭력지원센터를 신설, 집행기구로서 핵심적 역할을 수행하는 것으로 구상하였다.
