  • This study was designed to verify the influence of mothers on their young adults in pro-environmental consuming consciousness and behavior. The compiled data are based on the responses of questionnaires from 278 young adults who reside in Seoul, Korea. The data were analyzed by frequency, standard deviation, mean, unitary dispersion, rank revolution analysis, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and multiple regression analysis by SPSS 14.0K for Windows. This study has discovered the following: First. A mother's pro-environmental consuming behavior is one of the most important factors significantly influencing a young adult's consciousness and behavior. Second. A friendly and positive consciousness about the environment enhances pro-environmental consuming behavior. A close inter-relationship exists between consciousness and behavior. However, some significant discrepancy was found between pro-environmental consuming consciousness and pro-environmental consuming behavior; that is, the level of pro-environmental consciousness was higher than the level of pro-environmental behavior. Third. Sensitivity to environmental information influenced pro-environmental consumption consciousness and behavior. Female students are more concerned about and sensitive to environmental matters than are male students. Fourth. Among the subordinate dependent variables, recycling behavior is most influenced by independent variables. Among the pro-environmental consuming behavior sector, a mother's disposal behavior exerts the most influence on the young adult's behavior. In the results of this study, it is pointed out that it is absolutely necessary fur young adults to bring up their practice level of pro-environmental purchase and consuming behaviors, and it is advised that appropriate and relevant education programs should be developed.

  • In this research, we analyzed the effect of environmental friendliness on consumer's purchase intention with an energy saving product. We found that the economic benefit, easy to use and environmental friendliness have significant positive(+) effects on environmental friendliness of the energy saving product. We also found that the effects of economic benefit and environmental friendliness differ by the level of consumer's environmental consciousness. Consumers with high level of the environmental consciousness are less sensitive on the change of the economic benefit and more sensitive on the change of the environmental friendliness than consumers with low level of the environmental consciousness. The results of this research imply that when planning a marketing strategy for an environmental friendly product it is important to emphasis the economic benefit to consumers with low level of the environmental consciousness while it is important to emphasis the environmental friendliness to consumers with high level of the environmental consciousness.

The subjects were 325 female university students in Daejeon and Chungnam Province. The research method was a survey, and the questionnaire was composed of media exposure and involvement, objectified body consciousness, appearance management behaviors, and subjects' demographic characteristics. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, factor analysis, and regression analysis using SPSS program. The results were as follows. First, female university students used mass media for about 3.76 hours a day and showed a high level of media involvement. Second, three factors (body surveillance, body shame, and appearance control belief) emerged regarding objectified body consciousness with female university students showing a high level of objectified body consciousness. Third, six factors (make-up, plastic surgery, weight control, fashion, hair, and skin care) emerged regarding appearance management behaviors with female university students showing high intention to perform various appearance management behaviors. Fourth, media exposure and involvement had important effects on objectified body consciousness and appearance management behaviors, and media involvement was a more important variable than media exposure. Fifth, objectified body consciousness had important effects on appearance management behaviors. Body shame had more important effects on skin care, weight control, and plastic surgery behaviors, while body surveillance had more important effects on fashion, make-up, and hair management behaviors than other objectified consciousness factors. The implication of this study was that media involvement is a more important variable affecting objectified body consciousness and appearance management behaviors than media exposure, and among objectified body consciousness dimensions, body shame has important effects on more active appearance management behaviors like weight control and plastic surgery behaviors.

The data were gathered from questionnaire for safety consciousness and grit scale from April to August 2022. Statistical treatment were processed (by SPSS 21.0 for windows) by descriptive analysis for all variables. One-way ANOVA was processed for analyze pilots' safety consciousness and grit scale by their groups. And the correlations were analyzed for investigating relations between them. Statistical significancy was set as p<.05. The results were as follows. First, pilots' safety consciousness showed higher trend in certification 1, qualification and certification 2 as considerable. The grit scale showed higher trend in qualification, certification 2 and 1 in order. The grit and its subfactor passion showed significance (p<.05). Second, the correlations among factors showed significance(p<.05). Conclusionly, safety consciousness was importantly recognized to the certification 1(F-4/5) pilots and grit to qualification pilots. The limit of this research was in small sample size, although need further study for practical using.
