스마트 그리드를 위한 전력선 통신 시스템에서의 데이터 전송률 향상 기법 (Data Transmission Rate Improvement Scheme in Power Line Communication System for Smart Grid)

  • 본 논문은 스마트 그리드를 위한 전력선 통신 시스템에서 데이터 전송률을 향상시키는 적응형 OFDM CP 길이 알고리즘에 대해 연구하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 기법은 수신단의 CP controller에서 수신된 데이터 프레임과 지연된 동일 데이터 프레임을 상관 처리를 취함으로써 채널 지연 정보를 계산한 후, 즉시 그 정보를 송신단에 피드백 한다. 그 다음, 송신단에서는 다음 데이터 프레임에 대한 CP 길이를 조절하게 된다. Impulsive noise 모델로서, Middleton Class A 간섭 모델을 사용하였고, 성능은 패킷 전송률과 누적 패킷 전송률, 비트 오류율 측면에서 평가되었다. 모의실험 결과로부터 패킷 수가 증가할수록 데이터 이득(감소된 비트 양)이 커지지만, branch 수($N_{br}$)가 증가할수록 데이터 이득 폭은 감소한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. $N_{br}$ 이 3, 5, 10인 경우, 적응형 CP 길이 알고리즘과 고정된 CP 길이 기법의 BER 성능은 비슷하였다. 따라서 제안한 기법은 기존의 고정 CP 길이 기법과 비교하여 BER 성능 감소 없이 데이터 전송률 증가를 달성하였음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Evaluation of Protective Effects of Houttuynia cordata on H2O2-Induced Oxidative DNA Damage Using an Alkaline Comet Assay in Human HepG2 Cells

  • To evaluate the protective effect of Houttuynia cordata on hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative DNA damage in HepG2 cell line, we used an alkaline single-cell gel electrophoresis (SCGE; comet assay). The DNA damage was analyzed by tail moment (TM) and tail length (TL), which used markers of DNA strand breaks in SCGE. The $100{\mu}g/ml$ of methanolic extract of Houttuynia cordata root showed significant protective effects (p < 0.01) against hydrogen peroxide-induced DNA damage in HepG2 cells and increased cell viability against hydrogen peroxide. The results of this study indicate that Houttuynia cordata root methanol extract acts as a potential antioxidant, and exhibits potential anticancer properties, which may provide a clue to find applications in new pharmaceuticals for oxidative stability.

  • 본 논문에서는 GPS, DCS, PCS, UMTS, Wibro, Bluetooth, S-DMB대역에서 동작 가능한 안테나를 설계하고 제작하였다. 최대한 적은 부피의 안테나로 광대역 특성을 얻기 위해 모노폴 안테나를 기반으로 CPWG(Coplanar Waveguide-fed with Ground) 급전 구조를 사용하였다. 방사패치의 길이와 방사패치와 접지면 간의 간격을 조정하며 시뮬레이션 하였으며, 최적화된 파라미터를 가지고 제작하였다. 제작된 안테나는 VSWR<2에서 1.430Hz$\sim$2.9GHz(67.89%)의 대역폭과 $1.3{\sim}3.7dBi$의 이득 및 전방향성(Omni-directional) 방사패턴을 얻었다.

지리산(智異山) 잣나무집단(集團)의 변이(變異)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (The Variation of Population of Pinus koraiensis Sieb. et Zucc. in Mt. Jiri)

  • 지리산(智異山) 일대(一帶)에 생육(生育)되고 있는 잣나무집단(集團)의 변이(變異)를 구명(究明)하기 위해 수형(樹形), 침엽(針葉), 자엽(子葉), 종자(種子), 묘목성장(苗木成長)의 특성(特性)을 조사하였다. 두개 집단(集團)을 비교(比較) 검토(檢討)하였던 바 그 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 침엽(針葉)의 엽장(葉長), 거치밀도(鋸齒密度), 종자충실율(種子充實率), 종자장(種子長), 종자후(種子厚), 자엽장(子葉長), 자엽폭(子葉幅), 자엽(子葉)의 기공선수(氣孔線數)와 묘고성장(苗高成長)에 있어서는 집단(集團), 개체간(個體間)에 유의차(有意差)를 인정(認定)할 수 있었다. 2. 수목(樹木)의 역지각(力枝角)과 목재(木材)의 비중(比重), 자엽(子葉)의 수지구수(樹脂溝數)의 형질(形質)에 있어서는 집단간(集團間)에 유의차(有意差)가 인정(認定)되었다. 3. 침엽(針葉)의 기공선수(氣孔線數), 종자폭(種子幅), 종자중량(種子重量), 자엽(子葉)의 거치밀도(鋸齒密度), 자엽수(子葉數)의 형질(形質)은 개체간(個體間)에 유의차(有意差)를 인정(認定)할 수 있었다. 4. 침엽(針葉)의 수지구(樹脂溝)는 집단(集團), 개체간(個體間) 모두 3개(個)의 주수지구(主樹脂溝)만 발달(發達)하여 변이폭(變異幅)은 인정(認定)할 수 없었다. 그리고 수간형(樹幹型)은 두 집단(集團) 모두 통직성(通直性)을 나타내었다. 5. 침엽(針葉)과 자엽(子葉) 형질(形質)의 변이계수(變異係數)는 대체로 자엽(子葉)의 것이 큰 경향(傾向)을 나타내었다.

Twist2 Regulates CD7 Expression and Galectin-1-Induced Apoptosis in Mature T-Cells

  • In the periphery, a galectin-1 receptor, CD7, plays crucial roles in galectin-1-mediated apoptosis of activated T-cells as well as progression of T-lymphoma. Previously, we demonstrated that $NF-{\kappa}B$ downregulated CD7 gene expression through the p38 MAPK pathway in developing immature thymocytes. However, its regulatory pathway is not well understood in functional mature T-cells. Here, we show that CD7 expression was downregulated by Twist2 in Jurkat cells, a human acute T-cell lymphoma cell line, and in EL4 cells, a mature murine T-cell lymphoma cell line. Furthermore, ectopic expression of Twist2 in Jurkat cells reduced galectin-1-induced apoptosis. While full-length Twist2 decreased CD7 promoter activity, a C-terminal deletion form of Twist2 reversed its inhibition, suggesting an important role of the C-terminus in CD7 regulation. In addition, CD7 expression was enhanced by histone deacetylase inhibitors such as trichostatin A and sodium butyrate, which indicates that Twist2 might be one of candidate factors involved in histone deacetylation. Based on these results, we conclude that upregulation of Twist2 increases the resistance to galectin-1-mediated-apoptosis, which may have significant implications for the progression of some T-cells into tumors such as Sezary cells.

Development of Third-Party Damage Monitoring System for Natural Gas Pipeline

  • In this paper, we develop a real time monitoring system to detect third-party damage on natural gas pipeline. When the damage due to third-party incidents causes an immediate rupture, the developed on-line monitoring system can help reducing the sequences of event at once. Moreover, since many third-party incidents cause damage that does not lead to immediate rupture but can grow with time, the developed on-line monitoring system can execute a significant role in reducing many third-party damage incidents. Also, when the damage is given at a point on natural gas pipeline, the acoustic wave is propagated very fast about 421.3 m/s. Therefore, the data processing time should be very short in order to detect precisely the impact position. Generally, the pipeline is laid under ground or sea and the length is very long. So a wireless data communication method is recommendable and the sensing positions are limited by laid circumstance and setting cost of sensors. The calculation and monitoring software is developed by an algorithm using the propagation speed of acoustic wave and data base system based on wireless communication and DSP systems. The developed monitoring system is examined by field testing at Balan pilot plant, KOGAS being done in order to demonstrate its validity through reactive detection of third-party contact with pipelines. Furthermore, the development system was set at the practical pipelines such as an offshore pipeline between two islands Yul-Do and Youngjong-Do, and a land branch of Pyoungtaek, Korea and it has been operating in real time.

다목적함수 최적화 기법을 이용한 우주발사체의 포고억제기 설계 (Pogo Suppressor Design of a Space Launch Vehicle using Multiple-Objective Optimization Approach)

  • 포고 현상은 액체추진 로켓에서 발생하는 축방향의 동적 불안정 진동이다. 동체의 고유진동수와 추진제 공급계의 주파수가 가까와 지면 전체 시스템이 불안정 현상을 보인다. 포고 현상을 예측하기 위해 1단의 추진제 (산화제 및 연료) 탱크는 쉘 요소로, 나머지 구성 요소인 엔진 및 상단은 mass-spring으로 모델링하여 구조해석을 수행하였다. 추진제 공급계의 압력 및 유량 섭동예측에는 transmission line model이 사용되었다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같이 수행된 구조 및 유체 모델링을 통합하여 폐루프 전달함수를 구성하였다. 포고 억제기는 수동적인 방법으로 압력 섭동을 흡수하는 분 기관 및 accumulator로 구성되며 추진제 공급계 중간에 위치한다. 발사체의 비행과정 동안 포고현상을 억제하는 설계 최적화를 위한 설계변수로는 분기관 및 accumulator의 직경 및 길이로 설정하였다. 목적함수로는 포고 억제기의 질량, 그리고 추진제 질량에 따른 폐루프 전달함수의 에너지 최소화로 설정하여 다목적함수 최적화를 수행하였다.

생육 및 개화 특성이 다양한 덩굴 페튜니아 순계 선발 (Selection of Pure Lines with Various Growth and Flowering Characteristics of Spreading Petunia, Petunia × hybrida)

  • 덩굴 페튜니아의 $F_1$품종 육성을 위한 순계를 선발하기 위하여 품종 및 계통을 수집하여 2004년부터 자가 수분을 매년 1회 또는 2회 실시하여 2008년에는 자식(selfing) 5세대($S_5$) 또는 7세대($S_7$)를 진전시켰으며, 유지하여온 계통 중에서 생육 및 개화 특성이 균일한 surfinia petunia 20개 계통과 wave petunia 28개 계통을 최종적으로 선발하였고 이들의 특성은 다음과 같다. Surfinia petunia는 엽수가 300개 이상이고 초폭이 60 cm 이상으로 생육이 왕성한 계통으로 '$Pe99-017^7$' 등 10개 계통을, 식물체당 개화수가 150개 이상으로 많은 계통으로 '$Pe99-008-1^7$' 등 14개를 선발하였다. 선발된 계통을 화색별로 구분하면 적자색 그룹은 '$Pe99-017^7$' 등 13계통이고, 자주색 그룹은 '$Pe99-007^7$' 등 3계통이고, 남색 그룹은 '$Pe04-086^5$'와 '$Pe04-159^5$' 계통이고, 흰색 그룹은 '$Pe04-072-1^5$'이다. 이들 선발 계통들의 엽장이 3.0~4.0 cm로 작은 계통들은 '$Pe04-086^5$' 등 7개이고, 화경이 4.0~5.0 cm로 작은 계통들은 '$Pe02-205-2^5$' 등 8개이다. 측지수는 6.0개에서 11.0개 정도였으며 절간장은 2.0~4.2 cm로 분포되었다. Wave petunia는 엽수가 200개 이상이고 초폭이 60 cm 이상으로 생육이 왕성한 계통들로는 '$Pe99-020^7$'등 10개 계통이고, 식물체당 개화수가 150개 이상으로 많은 계통들은 '$Pe04-034-2^5$' 등 12개이다. 선발된 계통의 화색에 있어서 적색 그룹은 '$Pe04-113-4^5$'등 3개 계통이고, 적자색 그룹은 '$Pe99-020^7$' 등 18개 계통이고, 자주색 그룹은 '$Pe04-270-2^5$'이고, 청보라색 그룹은 '$Pe04-201^5$'과 '$Pe04-263^5$'계통이며, 보라색 그룹은 '$Pe04-072-5^5$'계통이고, 백색 그룹은 '$Pe04-180-2^5$' 등 3개 계통이다. 엽장이 3.0~4.0 cm로 작은 계통은 '$Pe04-263^5$' 등 11개 이고, 화경이 4.0~5.0 cm로 작은 계통은 '$Pe04-201^5$' 등 9개 이다. 측지수는 8.0개에서 13.0개 정도이고 절간장은 1.0~3.0 cm로 분포되었다. 본 연구로 육성된 덩굴 페튜니아 계통들은 일대잡종 품종육성을 위한 우수한 자원이 될 것으로 본다.

기계화를 전제로 한 산간경사지답경지정리방안에 관한 연구(II) (A Study on the Methodology of Land-Consolidation Sloping Paddies in land Vallry for the Farm-Mechanization (II))

  • The paddy fiels slope located in Kangweon province Hwyongsung gun Gonggeun myon Shinchonri was considerably steep and so it was impossible to economically consolidate the field up to date. But for the porpose of farm mechanization, the field (32. 27ha) was consolidated by the auther under the assitance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fishery and,;the Administration of Kangweon province. This paddy field consolidation was caused by the treatise on "Land-consolidation methods for farm mechanization in the steep-sloped paddy field", of which the auther is the same. The constrution was carried out from September, 1981 to April, 1982. During the 4esign and construction, some Peculiarities were found and discussed. That is, in design, besides the common condititions for a design, some special conditions were considered and written below; (1) The ranges of field slope in this design were 1/100-1/30. (2) Long sides of the land readjustment blocks must be arranged abreast contour line, and so they make the amount of cutting and banking decreased so as to take the maximum advantage of the configuration of the field. (3) In design, the main principles of dividing blocks were written below; i) First of all, long side of a block should be drawn straight abreast a contour line. ii) Long side of a block should arrange abreast contour line and make its length 100-150m, if not, l)reak the side in order to make a bended rectangle. iii) Length of a short side should be determinded within differences of elevation (0.6 -1. 2m) between the two adjacent blocks toward the normal to a contour line. iv) Length of a short side should be above 15m and the ratio of long and short side should be slso kept 1: (4-6). v) A new field surface leveling was determinded from the elevation which produce the least amount of cuttingand banking within the range of 0.6-1. 2m diffe rences of elevation between the two adjacent blocks. vi) In the course of dividing blocks with the same width along the line which was normal to a contour line, all blocks connot keep their shape in a retangle because of steep slope of the field and so on, and so it was also necessory to make some non-retanglar and small blocks such as a trianglar or trapezoidal shape, which was impossible to use some of farm machinery. But because this non-rectanglar and small blocks were divided, larger and many rectanglar blocks can be divided and construction cost can also be lowered. According to the conditions discussed above, the paddy field consolidation project designed and constructed. And the results of this study were obtained as below; (1) Three-forth of total cost of this paddy field consolidation was not construction cost, and these cost consist of land grading (1/4), road and canal construction cost (1/4) and the other cost (1/4) such as surveying or materials and 56 on. (2) The steeper the land slope, the greater cost was assigned for road and canal construction, and than land grading. (3) Curtailment of the road and canal construction cost depended on simplificating their strutures. (4) In the case of the land slopes were low, the land grading cost was high by 1: 1.4 in comparison with the road and canal construction cost, and conversely when the slops were steep, the road and canal construction cost was high by 1 : 5 in compa- rison with the land grading cost. (5) The densities of irrigation canal, drainage canal and trunk and branch road were 150. Sm/ha, 60. im/ha and 17. 4m/ha respectively. The density of irrigation canal of the area was high by 2 times in comparison with the average one of Kangweon Province, and the others were nearly the same. (6) Most farmers (above 85%) knew the effects of paddy field consolidation. The effects are; 1) Improvement of irrigation 2) Improvement of farm management 3) Improvement of transportarion 4) farm mechanization and 5) grouping of the scattered land. And the more farm modernization was accomplished by these projects, the more farmers wanted to live in their land. (7) In spite of the very steep sloped paddy field, the diminution rate of the net farm land caused by consolidation was 7.7% which was nearly the same as the one of Chulweon plain of Kangweon province. Land grading cost was 971, OOOwon/ha which was rather cheap by 13.2% than the one of Ghulweon plain, and unit construction cost was 5, 341, OOOwon/ha (included soil addition) which was also nearly the same as the one of Chulweon plain and FNFIA (The federation of national farmland improvement association).

녹내장치료에 있어서 Tafluprost와 Latanoprost의 경제성평가 (Pharmacoeconomic Analysis of Tafluprost compared with Latanoprost on the Treatment of Primary open Angle Glaucoma or Ocular Hypertension in Korea)

  • The main objective of this study is to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of tafluprost compared with latanoprost in primry open Angle Glaucoma (POAG) or ocular hypertension OH patients in Korea. A decision analytic model was developed from a societal perspective to estimate clinical outcome, drug cost and glaucoma related cost. The model assumes branch like following: successful treatment, switching to other drug, adding other drug, laser or surgery. Treatment success rate is defined as the percentage of patients with elevated IOP achieving <20% reduction, and discontinuation rate is the percentage of patients who were withdrawn due to severe adverse events. A model that is comprised of 1 month cycle length has 1 year. Treatment success rate and discontinuation rate were obtained from published literatures searched in database. Resource utilizations and costs were calculated with national health insurance data and clinical expert opinions. Sensitivity analyses were performed on crucial parameters. Tafluprost is less costly than latanoprost, $609.0 vs $651.2 expected cost. Thus tafluprost was shown to be dominant compared with latanoprost. The results of sensitivity analysis revealed stable across most of the included parameters. According to this study, tafluprost shows more clinical outcome for 1 year than latanoprost. In addition, first-line treatment of tafluprost is a more cost-minimizing strategy associated with POAG or OH compared with latanoprost.
