체용론(體用論)으로 살펴 본 "동의수세보원(東醫壽世保元) "의 의미 (A Study on the Concept of ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon ${\lrcorner}$ Based on Che-Yong theory)

  • 1. Objectives The pesent study purposed to examine Dongmu Lee Je-Ma's Sasang philosophy from the viewpoint of Che-Yong relation and to understand the effect of Che-Yong relation on Dongmu philosophy. 2. Methods First, we briefly compared the concept of Che-Yong relation in Jeongju philosophy, which has a dualistic philosophical structure, with the concept of Han Suk-Ji's harmonious Che-Yong relation, which has a monistic philosophical struaure and, based on rhe result, analyzed the characteristics of rhe concept of Che-Yong in Dongmu philosophy focused on Seongmyeong rheory, Sadan rheory and Hwakchung theory in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$. 3 Results and Conclusions Jeongju philosophy is different from Dongmu philosophy in irs philosophical struaure characterized by Che-Yong relation, and the concept of Che-Yong in Dongmu philosophy forms the characteristics of Han Suk-ji's monistic harmonious Ole- Y ong relation. This produces results as follows. (1) Form a universal view of human beings centering of man's autonomous will and possibility. (2) Have a philosophical structure understood nor as a partial thought but as a total thought. (3) Assert that man has a good nature fundamentally and is obliged to practice goodness. (4) Assume that all human beings are equal. (5) It is assumed that the structural characteristics of harmonious Che-Yong relation in Dongmu philosophy can be the ground of definition of Silhak (practical science) in Oriental philosophy. It can be said that the realities of the universe and human beings can be discussed in philosophical structure with the logic of harmonious Che-Yong relation based on the unity of time and space. The philosophical logic based on the tealities can be defined as Silhak.

요로감염(尿路感染)으로 인한 소음인(少陰人) 발열(發熱) 치험례(治驗例) (A Case Study of the Febrile Soeumin Patient Caused by UTI(Urinary Tract Infection))

  • 1. Objectives In the western Medicine, UTI generally bring on fever, and treated by antibotics. In the traditional way of korean Medicine, our predecessors used the herb for the febrile disease that has the property of coldness. However, Lee Je-ma tried to make the Yang ascend with the herb, considering thar the febrile illness in Soeumin is made by the Exterior Heat not ascending. In the aspect of the Sasang Consititutional Medicine(SCM), Hwanggigyeji-tang(황지계지탕(黃芷桂技場)) & Palmoolgunja-tang (팔물군자탕(八物君子湯)) belongs to the kind of the warm medication. This study is reported to evaluate rhe effected of Hwanggigyeji-tang(황지계지탕(黃芷桂技場)), Palmulgoonja tang(팔물군자탕(八物君子湯)) to the febrile patient. 2. methods To heal the febrile patient who was diagnosed as UTI & Soeumin exterior disease, we used soeumin Hwanggigyeji-tang(황지계지탕(黃芷桂技場)), Palmulgoonja tang(팔물군자탕(八物君子湯)). 3. Results This parient's main symptoms are fever, sweating impotently feeling, anorexia. So we treated the patient with Hwanggigyeji-tang(황지계지탕(黃芷桂技場)), (팔물군자탕(八物君子湯)) in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon(동의수세보원(東醫壽世保元))${\lrcorner}$ and improved the patient?s symptoms. 4. Conclusions We suggest that Soeumin Hwanggigyeji-tang(황지계지탕(黃芷桂技場)), (팔물군자탕(八物君子湯)) are effective significantly to the patient with febrile illness, bur then we consider that the studies on the case like this are more needed to convince that Hwanggigyeji-tang(황지계지탕(黃芷桂技場)), (팔물군자탕(八物君子湯))are very much effective.

『동의보감(東醫寶鑑)』과 『동의수세보원(東醫壽世保元)』에 나타난 우리 민족(民族)의 의학정신(醫學精神) (Medical Minds of Trational Korean Medicine in 「DongEuiBoGam」 and 「Dongyi Suse Bowon」)

  • 1. Objectives This research is purposed to present developmental direction of traditional Korean medicine, through summarizing original medical mind of traditional Korean medicine. 2. Methods It was researched as bibliographic study with chief writings of traditional Korean medicine such as "DongEuiBoGam(東醫寶鑑)" and "Dongyi Suse Bowon(東醫壽世保元)" 3. Results and Conclusions (1) Huh Jun regarded Three Precious(三要: 精, 氣, 神) as important factors in Morpho-imaginary viewpoints. So he suggested finding out the pathological states according to the states of Three Precious. (2) As Huh Jun recognized that the essence(精) is the origin of the body, he suggested the medical mind of laying emphasis on the essence. And he suggested that circulating of the essence is important to health and longevity, which is different from previous trational medicne laying emphasis on the tonifying of five organs(五臟). (3) Dong-mu suggested diagnostic method that is to find out "Natural Principle of Organ(臟腑性理)" by observation of "Knowing-Acting(知行)" and "Morphological aspect and Temper(體形氣像)". And he suggested finding out pathological states according to states of "Good Qi of each constitution(體質正氣)". (4) Dong-mu recognized that the disease should be treated by recovering "Good Qi of each constitution" with both pharmacotherapy and non-pharmacotherapy. So he uggested the medical mind of laying emphasis on "Good Qi of each constitution", which is different from previous trational medicne laying emphasis on the tonifying of five organs. (5) To be brief, Huh Jun layed emphasis on the essence and Dong-mu layed emphasis on "Good Qi of each constitution". Emphasizing internal vitality which is applyed to treatment and prevention of disease is the original medical mind of traditional Korean medicine.

소음인(少陰人) 병리론(病理論)에 관한 고찰(考察) (The Study on the Pathology of Soeumin in Sasang Constitutional Medicine (SCM))

  • 1. Objectives : This research was proposed to find our the pathology of Soeumin in Sasang Constitutional Medicine(SCM). 2. Methods : The related contents of the pathology of Soeumin were selected in Je-Ma Lee's literatures such as "Dongmu-YuGo(東武遺稿)"(DYG), "Donguisusebowon-SaSangchobongyun(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)"(DSS), "Donguisusebowon-GabObon(東醫壽世保元甲午本)"(DGO), "Donguisusebowon-ShinChukbon(東醫壽世保元辛丑本)"(DSC), and the research was written in order to find out the physiology and pathology of Soeumin in SCM. 3. Results and Conclusions : The chronical change of pathologic concept in Soeumin diseases as follows: Pathology in Soeumin diseases was much Cold Qi(寒氣), and more descending Qi, less ascending Qi in DYG, DSS. In "Discourse on the viscera and bowels" of DGO and DSC, Soeumin has a circulation of Water-Food Hot Qi of Spleen Group(脾黨) and Water-Food Cold Qi of Kidney Group(腎黨). Exterior Disease(表病) was the injury of Exterior-Qi such as eye-shoulder Qi(目膂氣) by Pleasure-Nature-Qi(樂性氣), and Interior Disease(裏病) was the injury of Interior-Qi such as spleen-stomach Qi(脾胃氣) by Joy-Emotion-Qi(喜情氣). All diseases of Soeumin are caused by insufficient Warm Yang Qi(陽煖之氣) in Spleen Group(脾黨), so the pathology of Soeumin was focused on Requisite energy(保命之主) and each small viscera and bowels(偏小之臟). In this viewpoint, the schema of Soeumin diseases such as Ulkwang-syndrome(鬱狂證), Mangyang-syndrome(亡陽證), Taeum-syndrome(太陰證) and Soeum-syndrome(少陰證) were designed to explain the mechanism of each syndrome.

  • Die Arbeit versucht, den Textbegriff aus prototypentheoretischer Sicht neu zu orientieren. Damit wird unter Text immer eine monologisch geschriebene sprachliche $\"{A}u{\ss}erung$ aus mehreren $S\"{a}tzen$ verstanden. Die in de Beaugrande/Dressler(l98l) als wichtig bezeichnete Textmerkmale wird dann in Bezug auf Vater(1992), $L\"{o}tscher(1987)$ und Klein/von Stutterheim (1991) kritisch $gekl\"{a}rt$. Daraus ergibt sich eine merkmalsorientierte Textbestimmung: Ein Text ist eine abgeschlossene themenorientierte kommunikative Einheit in einem konkreten Kontext; er hat eine bestimmte kommunikative Funktion und $erf\"{u}llt\;koh\"{a}rente$ Bedingungen. Meine These ist: Typische Texte sind auf Mustern, $n\"{a}mlich$ auf Prototypen bezogen. Textmuster sind als Prototypen bezeichnet, die in unterschiedlichem $Ma\ss\;Spielraum\;f\"{u}r\;Variationen\;und\;Kreativit\"{a}t$ lassen. Textmuster sind zu beschreiben $\"{u}ber$ das Zusammenspiel von nichtsprachlichem Handlungstyp und sprachlicher Textsorte. Dieses Zusammenspiel yon Handlungsaspekten wird in prototypischer Weise mit bestimmten Textmerkmalen verbalisiert. Mit Textmusterbeschreibungen werden jeweils prototypische Exemplare beschrieben: die beste Exemplare, die klar als solehe erkennbar sind. Die Formulierung 'Es war einmal....'. ist $f\"{u}r\M\"{a}rchen$ zwar prototypische Anfangsform, aber sie wird nur in etwa einem drittel der $F\"{a}lle$ verwendet. Prototypische Textmustermerkmale sind also nicht obligatorisch. Das $hei{\ss}t$, dass die Realiseirungen je nach individueller bzw. kultureller Situation und damit verfolgtem Zweck variabel sind Damit habe ich mich am Beispiel der Textsorte $besch\"{a}ftigt$.

소양인(少陽人) 비수한표한병론(脾受寒表寒病論)의 병증(病證) 및 약리(藥理)에 대한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Disease and Medical Theory of Soyangin Bisoohan-pyohanbyung-theory)

  • 1. 목 적 소양인(少陽人) 비수한표한병론(脾受寒表寒病論)의 주요 처방과 약재의 효능 및 병증의 인식을 역사적으로 고찰해보고자 한다. 2. 방 법 "동의수세보원(束醫壽世保元)" 소양인(少陽人) 비수한표한병증(脾受寒表寒病證)의 주요 처방 및 약재의 효능을 관련 조문과 원출전 및 동의보감(東醫寶鐵)을 중심으로 과거문헌을 비교하여 소양인(少陽人) 표병증(表病證)의 인식근거를 추론하며 처방과 약재의 효능 인식의 변화를 분석하였다. 3. 결과 및 결론 이제마(李濟馬)는 소양인(少陽人) 표병증(表病證)을 대부분 장중경(張仲景)의 " 상한론(傷寒論)"에서 취하였으나, 처방에 있어서 몇몇 약재를 인용했을 뿐 송대이후 처방으로 대신했다. 소양인(少陽人) 비수한표한병증(脾受寒表寒病證)의 처방구성은 음기(陰氣)를 하강(下降)시키는 약물을 기본전제로 그 증상정도에 따라 수반된 흉복열(胸腹熱)을 치고 손상된 음기(陰氣)를 보하는 약재를 첨가함으로써 구성되었다.

고로쇠 나무의 수피와 수액의 향장활성 비교 (Comparison on Cosmetic Activities of Acer mono Bark and Sap)

  • In this study, we investigated the cosmetic application of Acer mono sap through an ultra-high pressure process. Exposing Acer mono sap to a ultra-high pressure process resulted in 90.1% cell viability of human normal fibroblast cells (CCD-986sk) when added at the highest concentration. Acer mono sap also showed the hightest free radical scavenging activity after the ultra high pressure process. The melanogenesis inhibition rate in cloned M-3 cells was 59.0%. Tyrosinase was inhibited at a rate of 87.2% by adding 100% HPAMS. Anti-wrinkle activity was 78.1%. Acer mono sap showed enhanced storage following the ultra high pressure process. These results indicate that Acer mono sap may be a source for functional cosmetic agents capable of improving antioxidant, whitening, and antiwrinkling effects.

사상체질분류검사지(QSCCII)에 의한 체질진단과 허식(許式) 체간측정치의 상관성 연구 (A Study on the Association between Sasang Constitutions(QSCC II) and Huh's Morphological Diagramming)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference of the morphological diagram by Sasang Constitutions and compare with Huh's morphological diagram, a theory based on the Four Cho Theory(四焦設) by Lee Je-Ma. We classified the Sasang Constitutions of 104 Korean College Students(average age 23.81) using QSCC II. Before measuring of morphologic diagrams, we exert the subjects to take supine position on the bed, and make it a rule that our staffs mesure each people directly. The 50% of the total subjects was Soeumin, 26.9% was Soyangin and 23.1% was Taeumin, our study shows the higher percentage than the other studies in Soeumin. The results as follows ; In the cases of man, Taeumin have more developed Low-Middle Cho(the interval between stomach line and Navel line) than other constitutions, whereas Soeumin has more developed Low cho(the interval between Navel line and Ilium line). In the cases of woman, there is no significant difference of Huh's morphology diagram among three Sasang constitutions. We analyzed the difference of obesity among sasang constitutions, and we found that the BMI(Body Mass Index$(Kg/m^2)$) of Taeumin was significantly higher than other constitutions in male. But there was no significant difference among Sasang constitutions in female. We have not found the exact accordance between the real measurement and Huh's Theory. But for man, there are several statistically significant results, indicating the usefulness of the Huh's Morphological Diagramming theory on the discriminating ability of Sasang Constitutions Classificaton. So this results suggest that the use of the Huh's theory should be improved in the classification of the Sasang Constitutions, considering the difference of morphology by sex.

Anxiolytic-Like Effects of Chrysanthemum indicum Aqueous Extract in Mice: Possible Involvement of GABAA Receptors and 5-HT1A Receptors

  • Chrysanthemum indicum Linne is an ancient herbal medicine used to treat bone and muscle deterioration, ocular inflammation, headache, and anxiety in Korea, China, and Japan. Furthermore, tea derived from Chrysanthemum indicum Linne has been used to treat anxiety by facilitating relaxation and curing insomnia. However, no reports exist on the anxiolytic-like effects of Chrysanthemum indicum Linne water extract (CWE) in mice. In the present study, we investigated the anxiolytic-like effects of CWE using the elevated plus-maze (EPM) test in mice. CWE, at a dose of 500 mg/kg (p.o.), significantly increased the time spent in the open arms of the EPM compared to a vehicle-injected control group. Moreover, the effect of CWE (500 mg/kg) was blocked by bicuculline (a selective $GABA_A$ receptor antagonist) and WAY 100635 (a selective 5-$HT_{1A}$ receptor antagonist). Taken together, these findings suggest that the anxiolytic-like effects of CWE might be mediated by the $GABA_A$ receptor and the 5-$HT_{1A}$ receptor.

동무공(東武公)의 형상관(形象觀)과 사상의학(四象醫學)의 형상의학정신(形象醫學精神) (The Morpho-Imaganary Viewpoints of Lee Je-ma and the Morpho-Imaganary recognitions of Sasang Constitutional Medicine)

  • 1. 연구목적 동무(東武) 이제마공(李濟馬公)은 그의 의학 연원을 사상인(四象人)의 직복성리(職服性理)와 외형(外形)을 얻어 의학을 완성하게 되었음을 밝히고 체질변중(體質辨證)에 체형기상(體形氣像)과 용모사기(容貌詞氣)의 취상변증(取象辨證) 방법을 제시하며 형증(形證)을 이용한 기(氣)의 상태를 제시하고 있어 동무공(東武公)의 형상관(形象觀)을 정확히 이해하고 사상의학(四象醫學)에서 형상의학정신(形象醫學精神)을 파악하는 것이 본 논고의 목적이다. 2. 연구방법 동무 철학의 바탕이 되는 사심신물논적(事心身物論的) 형상관(形象觀)은 "周易(주역)"의 형(形)과 상(象)에 대한 인식과 유학에서 "시경(詩經)"의 유물유칙(有物有則)의 정신과 "중용(中庸)"의 성(誠)과 물(物)에 대한 위물불이(爲物不二)의 인식에서 비롯되었다고 보고 동무공(東武公)의 형상관(形象觀)의 배경을 "주역(周易)", "시경(詩經)", "중용(中庸)", "주자전서(周子全書)", "격치고(格致藁)", "동무유고(東武遺藁)", "동의수세보원사상초본권(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)", "동의수세보원(東醫壽世保元)"을 통해 살펴보기로 한다. 또한 "내경(內東)". "동의보감(東醫寶鑑)"의 형상의학정신(形象醫學精神)과 사상의학(四象醫學)의 형상의학정신(形象醫學精神)을 비교해 보고자 한다. 3. 연구결과 및 결론 위의 고찰을 통해 다음과 같은 연구 결과를 얻었다. 1. 동무공(東武公)의 형상관(形象觀)은 "주역(周易)"의 유교적(儒敎的) 해석(解析)의 도입과정(導入過程)에서 나왔고 "중용(中庸)"에 나타난 복물(覆物), 재물(載物), 성물(成物)에 대한 사상적(四象的) 확대 해석과 "주역(周易)"의 취상(取象) 정신과 "중용(中庸)"의 '위물불무(爲物不武)'의 정신을 발전시킨 인성인형(人性人形)의 배경에서 이루어진 사물에 대한 새로운 인식체계이다. 2. "주역(周易)"은 천지인(天地人)을 음양(陰陽)으로 해석하여 수리(數理), 괘상(卦象)을 통해 사물(事物)의 변화(變化)와 길흉(吉凶)을 인식하는 음양적(陰陽的) 형상관(形象觀)이나 동무공(東武公)은 이이표상(裡理表象)의 사상적(四象的) 요약정신(要約精神)으로 사물(事物)을 설명하는 사상적(四象的) 형상관(形象觀)이다. 3. "중용(中庸)"은 인성(人性)을 성(誠)으로 보고 이를 물성(物性)까지 확대하여 인간과 우주를 설명하는데 동무공(東武公)은 이를 발전시켜 인성인형(人性人形)의 형상관(形象觀)을 완성하고 인성(人性)을 직부성리(職腑性理)로 발전시켜 인간의 몸과 우주의 본체를 이해하고자 하였다. 4. 동무공(東武公)의 형상관(形象觀) 요약 정신에는 대소원근(大小遠近)의 차별 정신과 구조(構造)와 기능(機能)의 요약 정신이 있으며, 이이(裡理)의 성리(性理)나 표상(表象)의 물상(物象)에서도 사심신물적(事心身物的) 구조와 기능의 요약정신이 존재(存在)한다. 5. "내경(內經)"의 형상의학정신(形象醫學精神)은 음양논적(陰陽論的) 인식 방법을 통해 기(氣)와 형(形)을 인식하며 기상형표(氣喪形表)를 언급하나 이를 체계화하지는 못했으며 인(人)의 구분에서도 음양(陰陽)과 기혈(氣血)의 다소(多少)를 통한 인식방법과 오행(五行)에 근거한 오태인론적(五態人論的) 인식 방법을 제시하고 있다. 6. "동의보감(東醫寶鑑)"의 형상의학정신(形象醫學精神)은 "황정경(黃庭經)"의 영향을 받은 도가적(道家的) 시각에 근거한 형(形)과 기(氣)중심의 "신형편(身形篇)" 정신(精神)이 있고 상한(傷寒)의 병증(病證)과 기타 병증(病證)에서 형증병증(形證病證) 개념의 도입을 시도하였다. 7. 이제마는 사심신물적 형상관(形象觀)을 의학(醫學)에 도입하여 형상의학을 완성하였고 체질(體質)과 체질병증(體質病證)을 기능(機能)과 구조(構造)의 발현적 정신으로 설명하고 병리에 대한 동출일속(同出一屬)의 원인적(原因的) 속성과 병증(病證)의 경중완급(輕重緩急)에 대한 객관적 변정동화(變靜動化)를 직관적(直觀的) 방법으로 설명하고자 하였다. 8. 동무공(東武公)의 형상관(形象觀)은 기존 음양론(陰陽論)의 이분법적(二分法的) 설명 방법의 한계를 극복하기 위해 이이(裡理)와 표상(表象)에서 모두 사심신물(事心身物)의 사상적(四象的) 요약(要約) 정신(精神)으로 사물(事物)을 인식하는 새로운 방법을 제시하였다.
