  • The Korean Federation of Education Association has published "Vacation Life" to promote self-teaching of middle school students during the summer and winter vacation of middle school students every year. The book include whole subjecy offered in the middle school. However subject of science(Physics, chemistry, biology and earth science) is more emphasized. This article described brief summary of the contents of biology branch published in winter "Vacation Life", 1980 and summer "Vacation Life" 1981.

  • A new and efficient Au-catalyzed alkoxycyclization of conjugated enynols offers a general entry to a wide range of highly substituted furans in good to excellent yields. These furans were subjected to diethyl acetylenedicarcoxylate to afford the interesting cycloadducts in good to excellent yields.

  • This paper describes the optimization of design variables of SLIM using finite element method and SUMT(Sequential Unconstrained Minimization Technique). Thrust is taken as an objective function in order to maximize thrust under constant current drive, and seven independent design variables and nine constraints are chosen. As a result, $\tau$/g(pole pitch/airgap) and $\tau$/$d_{AL}$(pole pitch/aluminum depth) of good criteria in SLIM design are determined.

  • We report on the properties of ITO thin films prepared by dc and pulse magnetron sputtering at low temperature. The electrical, optical, and surface properties of the films prepared by dc and pulse magnetron sputtering were compared. We discuss the role the pulse power plays in determining ITO thin film properties that are important in flat panel applications.

  • Irrigation canal systems were evaluated based on documentations and field survey. Field survey was conducted for main canals using GPS, with respect to canal characteristics such as canal material, presence of weed, potential inflow of sediment, sedimentation, and so forth. Methodology described in this paper could be used for planning maintenance practices.

  • In order to investigate effect of irrigation on soil moisture and soybean growth, a experimental plot, which was shielded from precipitation was established. Four different irrigation rates were applied and soil moisture variations were monitored with TDR. Soybean yield and product quality are under scrutiny.
