  • We had a full scale of literature survey and case survey of mathematics Flipped Learning class models. The purpose of this study is to design and adopt a Flipped Learning 'Linear Algebra' class model that fis our need. We applied our new model to 30 students at S University. Then we analyzed the activities and performance of students in this course. Our Flipped Learning 'Linear Algebra' teaching model is followed in 3 stages : The first stage involved the students viewing an online lecture as homework and participating free question-answer by themselves on Q&A before class, the second stage involved in-class learning which researcher solved the students' Q&A and highlighted the main ideas through the Point-Lecture, the third stage involved the students participating more advanced topic by themselves on Q&A and researcher (or peers) finalizing students' Q&A. According to the survey, the teaching model made a certain contribution not only to increase students' participation and interest, but also to improve their communication skill and self-directed learning skill in all classes and online. We used the Purposive Sampling from the obtained data. For the research's validity and reliability, we used the Content Validity and the Alternate-Form Method. We found several meaningful output from this analysis.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of 8 weeks after school classes of track sports on students' start motion through kinematic variables. 30 students in D National university of education participated for this study. These students divided into two groups, 17 students for experimental group and 13 students for control group. The two groups participated in general athletic class as common class, and the experimental group participated in after school class additionally. The general class taught track and jump skill for 3 hours a week, and the after school class taught only athletic running skill for 30 minutes a week. Pre and post test assessed to assess students' kinematic changes. Findings indicated that velocity and step rate were increased, and contact time, step length, displacement of center of mass were decreased in the experimental group. In the control group, early velocity, knee/hip angle velocity were increased, and contact time, step length, displacement of center of mass were decreased. In conclusion, the students who only participated in general class, could not maintain athletic skills obtained from the class. However, students who participated in both general and after school class accomplish athletic start skill. This is because Continuous learning effect helped students keep the skill and did not lose the skill. Thus, in order for students to learn specific sport skills, joining after school class with general class together is recommended.

  • This paper proposes learning modules as a kind of integrated instruction model for soft skills program outcomes to enable CEA. Learning modules consist of course learning objectives(outcomes) described in detail, learning content(elements), learning activities(teaching learning methods), evaluation methods, evaluation rubrics so that they can be evaluated based on the performance criteria of the program learning outcomes. The unit of time for the learning module is 50 minutes. If this learning module is applied, it is expected that the soft skill program outcomes can be evaluated in the technical course. As a result of the expert feasibility study, the positive answers were much higher than the negative answers in most of the questions about the composition of the learning module or the method of managing the class.

  • This study is to help to understand the influence of exchange writing activity in the elementary mathematics on students' mathematical communication skill. Various technical activities had been implemented during the classes and the ideas from those activities had been interpreted into writings in the final stage of the classes. Those writings, then, were distributed to other students or teachers in order to devise a teaching model for exchange writing, which is to be applied to the 3rd grade classes and to identify the influence on the in mathematical communication skill. From this study, we could get such conclusions as follows: First, there was considerable difference between experimental group practicing exchange writing and control group engaging in normal learning activities in the progress of their mathematical communication skill (group discussion), writing skill and expressivity when examining their average communication skill using t-method. Similar trend had been witnessed when self-evaluating their mathematical communication skill. Second, when it comes to the mathematical tendency, experimental group showed a higher tendency in positiveness compared to the control group. Therefore, we might conclude that the exchange writing has a positive influence on the students' mathematical tendency, especially on their curiosity or interest in teaming, willingness to study and their comprehension of its importance.

  • Developing mathematical thinking skills is one of the most important goals of school mathematics. In particular, recent performance based on assessment has focused on the teaching and learning environment in school, emphasizing student's self construction of their learning and its process. Because of this reason, people related to mathematics education including math teachers are taught to recognize the fact that the degree of students'acquisition of mathematical thinking skills and strategies(for example, inductive and deductive thinking, critical thinking, creative thinking) should be estimated formally in math class. However, due to the lack of an evaluation tool for estimating the degree of their thinking skills, efforts at evaluating student's degree of mathematics thinking skills and strategy acquisition failed. Therefore, in this paper, mathematical thinking was studied, and using the results of study as the fundamental basis, mathematical thinking process model was developed according to three types of mathematical thinking - fundamental thinking skill, developing thinking skill, and advanced thinking strategies. Finally, based on the model, evaluation factors related to essential thinking skills such as analogy, deductive thinking, generalization, creative thinking requested in the situation of solving mathematical problems were developed.
