This study was conducted to examine the practical and educational implications of teachers' operation of the curriculum through science and online classes based on data collected for 4 months from 4 teachers who had experience in science subject online classes among homeroom teachers in the 3rd to 6th grades of elementary school in D city. This study was conducted through narrative inquiry. As a result of conducting interviews and in-depth interviews based on the online class experiences of the Earth Science Unit of the study subjects, and conducting field classes with related documents such as online class-related materials and teacher journals, teachers were more likely to take online classes compared to traditional face-to-face classes. They spent more time preparing and showed difficulties in the process of adapting to the new medium used in online classes. In addition, they demanded the provision of scientific materials produced in a pandemic situation and a teaching platform for smooth class operation. In particular, in the case of experimental classes, there is a burden of completing the planned curriculum, and in a pandemic situation, students felt the need for individual experimental tools for intensive science classes. As a result, it is necessary to introduce a blended learning learning system that combines the advantages of face-to-face and online classes as a new class form for the transition to future education in preparation for the pandemic. Continuous teacher research on the format and online class experience is required.
Matrix theory is widely used not only in mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering, but also in social sciences and artificial intelligence. In the 2009 revised mathematics curriculum, matrices were removed from high school math education to reduce the burden on students, but in anticipation of the age of artificial intelligence, they will be reintegrated into the 2022 revised education curriculum. Therefore, there is a need to analyze the matrix content covered in other countries to suggest a meaningful direction for matrix education and to derive implications for textbook composition. In this study, we analyzed the German mathematics curriculum and standard education curriculum, as well as the matrix units in the German Hesse state mathematics curriculum and textbook, and identified the characteristics of their content elements and development methods. As a result of our analysis, it was found that the German textbooks cover matrices in three categories: matrices for solving linear equations, matrices for explaining linear transformations, and matrices for explaining transition processes. It was also found that the emphasis was on mathematical reasoning and modeling when learning matrices. Based on these findings, we suggest that if matrices are to be reintegrated into school mathematics, the curriculum should focus on deep conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and mathematical modeling in textbook composition.

The 4th industrial revolution refers to the transition to a knowledge society in which the production speed of knowledge is fast and the proportion of the knowledge industry is greatly increased. The reorganization of the industrial structure and the change of occupations and jobs due to new technologies are bringing about changes in education, and the development of digital technology has made education that is borderless, individual and dynamic, becoming the new standard of education. With these changes, interest in nano-degrees on new technologies or micro-degrees focused on core courses rather than regular course degrees is increasing. As a representative example, Udacity in the United States has opened and operated online nanodegree courses related to jobs, and collaborates with major companies to develop and educate core training courses necessary for companies, thereby efficiently supporting companies in securing talent. With the revitalization of online vocational and job training, an environment has been prepared in which individuals can set goals for vocational competency development and continue their portfolio-based sustainable learning. However, for effective vocational education, automated and personalized educational content design should be preceded. The name of the Courses of Fishing Technology and of Navigation, as the basic courses in the fisheries high schools and the merchant marine high schools, are unchanged from a viewpoint of keeping a time- honored tradition. According to transition of the industrial structure, the authors tried to examine closely the character, to realize the goal of education, to rationalize the substantial system of the major subjects of each course, and made some concrete proposals of teaching guidance for each subject. The existing 5 compulsory major subjects are reduced to 2, and the subjects of "Sea Training" and of "Fisheries Law" an, disused, and the subject of "Introduction to Ship" and "Introduction to Marine Engine" and "Introduction to Marine Communication" are merged into the "Introduction to Ship". As mentioned above, the level of subject matter become more simplified as well as the students' learning burden is lightened by reduction of the number of major subjects. In conclusion, guiding teachers of major subjects must previously establish the substantial teaching method and carry out the teaching activities taking into consideration of the students' intellectual level and the local requirement on the ground of thorough understanding the character. the goal and the substantial system of each revised subject.

Wireless body area network (WBAN) is a promising candidate for future health monitoring system. Nevertheless, the path to mature solutions is still facing a lot of challenges that need to be overcome. Energy efficient scheduling is one of these challenges given the scarcity of available energy of biosensors and the lack of portability. Therefore, researchers from academia, industry and health sectors are working together to realize practical solutions for these challenges. The main difficulty in WBAN is the uncertainty in the state of the monitored system. Intelligent learning approaches such as a Markov Decision Process (MDP) were proposed to tackle this issue. A Markov Decision Process (MDP) is a form of Markov Chain in which the transition matrix depends on the action taken by the decision maker (agent) at each time step. The agent receives a reward, which depends on the action and the state. The goal is to find a function, called a policy, which specifies which action to take in each state, so as to maximize some utility functions (e.g., the mean or expected discounted sum) of the sequence of rewards. A partially Observable Markov Decision Processes (POMDP) is a generalization of Markov decision processes that allows for the incomplete information regarding the state of the system. In this case, the state is not visible to the agent. This has many applications in operations research and artificial intelligence. Due to incomplete knowledge of the system, this uncertainty makes formulating and solving POMDP models mathematically complex and computationally expensive. Limited progress has been made in terms of applying POMPD to real applications. In this paper, we surveyed the existing methods and algorithms for solving POMDP in the general domain and in particular in Wireless body area network (WBAN). In addition, the papers discussed recent real implementation of POMDP on practical problems of WBAN. We believe that this work will provide valuable insights for the newcomers who would like to pursue related research in the domain of WBAN.
Breast cancer is the sccond most female cancer patient in the entire female cancer patient, and has emerged as the highest contributor to female cancer deaths. If breast cancer id detected early, the cure rate is 92 percent. However, if early detection fails, breast cancer has a very high rate of metastasis. The transition from cancer to cancer has become more successful as cancer progresses. Early diagnosis of cancer is an important factor in improving quality of life. Examples of breast cancer include Mammograph, ultrasound, and Momotome. Mommography is not only painful for the examiner, but also for easy access to breast cancer exam inations. In this paper, breast cancer diagnosis data mammograph data was used. In addition, the Neural Network were classified for early diagnosis of breast cancer early using NEWFM. After learning of data using NEWFM, the accuracy of the breast cancer data classification was 84.4391%.
The research area for solving question answering (QA) problems using artificial intelligence models is in a methodological transition period, and one such architecture, the dynamic memory network (DMN), is drawing attention for two key attributes: its attention mechanism defined by neural network operations and its modular architecture imitating cognition processes during QA of human. In this paper, we increased accuracy of the inferred answers, by adapting an automatic data augmentation method for lacking amount of training data, and by improving the ability of time perception. The experimental results showed that in the 1K-bAbI tasks, the modified DMN achieves 89.21% accuracy and passes twelve tasks which is 13.58% higher with passing four more tasks, as compared with one implementation of DMN. Additionally, DMN's word embedding vectors form strong clusters after training. Moreover, the number of episodic passes and that of supporting facts shows direct correlation, which affects the performance significantly.

Considering the present and expected demand for human resources by the maritime community, its quantity and quality depend on the number of the ships and the technology applied to them. Scientific and economic developments in this community bring the intensive use of modem technology for many of ships operation. Generally it effects to reduce the quantity of manpower, while it increases the requirement of qualifications of human resources to utilize such advanced technology. Considering above, the maritime education, training and research activities should be revised and updated according to the demand of the community. Because of a difference between the transition of the demand for the human resources and development of the maritime education, training and research activities, there are two most common questions as “What to teach” and “How to teach”. The first question has been asked for many years. The contents of maritime education and training are always related to the existing maritime knowledge and technology and should be updated with consideration of changes of the demand namely “Globalisation of maritime community”. It brings globalisation of the maritime education, training and research activities. The second question is still keeping us busy to look for the best way. Presently traditional methods are used together with new system, while the use of sophisticated simulation, communication and information systems etc. and it is changing our understanding on teaching. This paper introduces the new role of Maritime Institutions from the viewpoints of the maritime education. training and research activities. The role of guide for seafarers and maritime companies is always essential and the concepts such as “Refreshment Training”, “On the Job Training”, “Lifelong” or “Continuous Training” bring new understanding to the training period, trainee's age and position. As a result, the maritime institutions should be ready for their new role, which is, in brief, guiding the maritime society, recommending and providing new learning environments, organising research and developments, performing the education, training and assessment, improving existing methods and developing new methods of the education, training and assessment.
It seems that North Korea has been trying to reorganize its educational system as well as its economic system on a large scale since July 1, 2002. There has been a decrease in quantity of math textbooks by about 30% decrease. Until the 1990's, geometry and algebra had been kept apart from each other in North Korea, but they are put together now. Moreover many changes have been made in both contents and methods of teaching. For example, an area model is used in North Korea to teach operation of fraction, which makes the learning period shorter. This idea will provide us with many implication when we need to ready for decreasing the quantities in the future. Moreover teaching methods of division algorithms need to be reconsidered since the visual algorithm of division could help save the thinking in problem solving.

Teacher quality is a topic of international concern, as it impacts student learning and teacher preparation. This study compared the undergraduate secondary science teacher preparation programs from two universities in Korea with those of Oregon, USA. We examined the programs' structural curricular coherence, conceptual curricular coherence, and curricular balance. Structural curricular coherence was determined by examining the overarching goals of the institutions' programs, the organization of the programs of study in terms of meeting those goals, and outside bodies of evidence. All universities were in structural coherence for various reasons. Conceptual curricular coherence was determined by examining students' perceptions of the connection between their preparation and their clinical practice. In case of Korea, most students from both universities were not satisfied with their practical preparation. In the US, the students from both institutions felt well prepared to transition to inservice teaching. To determine curricular balance, we examined the institutions' preparation programs looking at the credit hours taken in the four main areas of the teacher knowledge base: GPK (General Pedagogical Knowledge), SMK (Subject Matter Knowledge), PCK (Pedagogical Content Knowledge), and CK (Contextual Knowledge). The total credit hours taken in each category was very similar by country but the application and field component in the USA was far greater than those of Korea where the focus was heavily on SMK and PCK. The main reason for these may be the nations' licensing and employment processes.
