  • Purpose: This study proposed to examine the effects of a blended-learning orientation program executed for nursing students' clinical practice. Method: The participants were 61 nursing students in the experimental group and 57 in the control group. For the experimental group, a blended-learning orientation program was executed by e-learning (on-line) and lecture-led training (off-line) from two-week before the start of clinical practice in medical-surgical nursing. For the control group, orientation was given in the traditional lecture-led training by distributing printed materials before clinical practice. A pre-test was conducted on the experimental and control group before clinical practice, and a post-test was conducted after two-week of clinical practice in order to examine the effects of the orientation program. Results: After two-week of clinical practice, differences were observed between the experimental group and the control group in adaptation to clinical practice (F=10.242, p=.002), communication skills (F=4.305, p=.040) and clinical competence (F=6.823, p=.010). Conclusions: The blended-learning orientation program enhanced nursing students' adaptation to clinical practice, improved their communication skill and increased their clinical competence. Accordingly, it is recommended to develop and apply practical education using blended-learning in the area of nursing science.

  • Market orientation emphasizes the capability of a firm to learn customers, competitors, and inter-functional coordination and to use this market intelligence of creating superior value in the marketplace. In recent years, academic and practitioner interest has focused on market orientation and factors that engender this orientation in organizations. Although the merits of maintaining organizational learning have been extensively discussed in the literature, little studies examine the empirical link between market orientation and organizational learning which has a strong relation with it. The objective of this study is to assess the relationship between organizational commitment, market orientation, and organizational learning and presents more close a relational structure. The relationships between organizational commitment(OC), market orientation (MO), and organizational learning(OL) were analysed by structural equation modelling. a structure of OC-MO-OL is supported by our research and past literatures.

  • In this study, we investigated the effects of cooperative learning by the levels of students' performance goal orientation in science classes on 6th graders' science achievement and science learning motivation. Two classes (47 students) from an elementary school were respectively assigned to a control group and a treatment group. A performance goal orientation test and a science learning motivation test were administered as pretests. The intervention of cooperative learning lasted for 24 class periods. A researcher-made achievement test and the science learning motivation test were administered after the instructions. ANCOVA results indicated that the score of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group in the achievement test. However, no interaction was found between the cooperative learning treatment and the levels of students' performance goal orientation. There were significant aptitude-treatment interactions in science learning motivation.

  • This paper aims to analyze the influence of innovation capabilities on the relationship between strategic orientation and the performance of women small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs). The strategic orientation in this study used three constructs, namely market orientation, learning orientation, and technology orientation. The method of data collection was the survey method and was collected from 149 SMEs in the typical culinary industry in Indonesia using probability samples. The data analysis method uses path analysis. The results showed that the influence of strategic orientation on business performance has strengthened previous studies. However, in this study strategic orientation that directly affects business performance is market orientation and learning orientation, while technology orientation has no direct effect. The existence of innovation capability as a mediation variable strengthens the influence of strategic orientation on business performance. • The purpose of this study is to suggest implications for the importance of shared leadership of leaders by analyzing the influence of learning orientation and unlearning on the recognition of leader's shared leadership and employees'. The questionnaire survey was conducted on the employees who work as knowledge workers in the domestic SMEs. A total of 387 questionnaires were collected using SPSS 24.0 statistical package. The results of this study were that the relationships between a leader's shared leadership and innovation behavior, shared leadership and learning orientation, and learning orientation and innovation behavior were positive. In addition, learning orientation mediated in the relationship between shared leadership and innovation behavior, and unlearning reinforced the relationship between shared leadership and learning orientation. The implication of this study is that the employees themselves need continuous reinforcement activities for active unlearning and learning orientation in order to improve the innovation behavior of the employees. In addition, the shared leadership of leaders in employees and organization is more important.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among an achievement, a meaningful learning orientation and a reasoning ability. 149 third grade middle school students were tested. The achievement test was designed to measure students' interrelated understanding of genetics. A modified LPQ(Learning Process Questionnaires) was used to measure students' meaningful learning orientation. Students' reasoning ability were identified by the short version GALT(Group Assessment of Logical Thinking). Correlations between different variables were examined. Regression analyses were conducted to examine the predictive influence of meaningful learning orientation and reasoning ability on the achievement of students. And ANCOVA was used to identify the interaction of these variables on students' achievement. Students did not understand well enough the concepts of genetics. Meaningful learning orientation indicated a significant gender difference. Girls tend to do more meaningful learning than boys(p<.05). Many students(48.76%) were at the transitional cognitive level. Results of correlations indicated that students' attainment of meaningful understanding was significantly and positively related with a meaningful learning orientation and a reasoning ability. But there was no significant correlation between students' meaningful learning orientation and reasoning ability. Regression analyses indicated that learning orientation and reasoning ability were able to predict the achievement of students. They predicted better on solving genetics problem than understanding genetics problem. Results of ANCOVA showed that the test scores of genetics were significantly different according to not only learning orientation levels but also cognitive levels. But, there was no interaction between learning orientation and cognitive levels. Within the transitional and formal cognitive level, the meaningful learners performed significantly better than the rote learners on the test of genetics.
