The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between using computer for learning and subjective achievement in high school. It is also to explore the relationship among gender, school type, subjective achievement and computer use for learning. We conduct structural equational modeling analyses using Korean Child Youth Panel Study (KCYPS) data with 1st grade middle school students panel. We found these results: (a) Using computer for learning effects on the subjective achievement of 3rd grade high school students. (b) Girls more use computer for the purpose of learning than boys during high school. (c) School type has an effect on using computer for learning in high school significantly. From these results, some strategies and guides are suggested in the use of computer for learning.
In this study it is aimed to find out the relationship between the effective factors on learning motivation of the digital textbook. To carry on such exploration the learning motivation theory of Keller has been taken as the theoretical background. This is an experimental research with the data collected from 310 students who took the digital textbook class in the computer-mediated environment. It is compared and verified whether the factors causing learning motivation of the ARCS model embedded in the offline class influence on learner's motivation and achievement. With the outcomes, it has been tried to find out some practical suggestions for the achievement of the digital textbook. The results of the data show that the learning motivation of the digital textbook is significantly influence on the learning achievement.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of self-regulated learning components, such as metacognition, motivation, and learning strategies, on academic achievement in normally achieving children and learning disabled(LD) children. The subjects were 345 normally achieving children, 12 LD children, and a group of 12 normally achieving children to match the LD children. Data was analyzed by Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression analysis, and t-test. Results showed that metacognition, motivation and learning strategy are important components of successful academic achievement and self-regulated learning in normally achieving children. Among the self-regulated learning components, metacognition was the most powerful predictor of academic achievement. For the LD children, the results showed that they have metacognitive deficits and motivational problems. Implications for intervention to improve academic achievement of low achievers and LD children were discussed.

The purpose of this study is to verify career maturity, achievement goal, learning attitude and academic achievement relation with subjects-related career education of middle school students. To achieve these aims, this study used SELS(Seoul education longitudinal study) of Seoul Education Research & Information Institute. Also, analysis as well as descriptive statistics calculation on average, deviation, skewness and kurtosis of variable factor and calculated characteristic item and degree of reliability(Cronbach ${\alpha}$). For goodness of fit test, this study used TLI(Tucker-Lewis index) and RMSEA(Root mean square error of approximation). To achieve the ultimate objects, this study used LMA(latent mean analysis) for analysis of difference career maturity, achievement goal, learning attitude and academic achievement relation with subjects-related career education in middle school students. The results are as follows. First, experience relation with subjects-related career education were influenced on career maturity with career cognition. Second, experience relation with subjects-related career education were influenced on achievement goal, learning attitude, and larger than career maturity and academic achievement. Third, experience relation with subjects-related career education were influenced on middle school students more than inexperienced relation with subjects-related career education.
This study has attempted to find the teaching methods for the elementary students with low science achievement by examining the differences of science learning motivation, academic stress and stress coping styles and the characteristics shown in the relationship between them. To achieve this, the differences of science learning motivation, academic stress and stress coping styles of the elementary students with low science achievement and their relationship was set up as a study problem. A science learning motivation using a science learning motivation questionnaire reconfigured with PALS along with underachievers diagnosis were measured targeting 660 elementary students located in Seoul. Using an academic stress questionnaire and stress coping style questionnaire, an academic stress and stress coping styles were measured. The results of analyzing the collected data are as follows. First, a science learning motivation of elementary students with low science achievement was lower than the general students but the academic stress was shown higher. Especially, the self-efficacy of science learning motivation was significantly lower and the school stress was highest. For stress coping styles, a tendency of passive and avoidment coping styles were shown higher than the general students. Second, among the science learning motivation of elementary students with low science achievement, the self-efficacy motivation and school stress have shown a negative correlation but had a positive correlation with the goal-oriented motivation centered on ability. In the correlation between the science learning motivation of elementary students with low science achievement and the stress coping styles, the pursuit of social support coping styles have shown a significant positive correlation with the science learning motivation and its subcategories. As a result of conducting a regression analysis on the influence of academic stress and stress copying styles on the science learning motivation of elementary students with low science achievement, among the academic stresses, the school stress was shown to have the biggest influence. Among the stress coping styles, the pursuit of social support coping styles had the biggest influence on the science learning motivation followed by active coping behaviors, passive and avoidment coping behaviors. Low science learning motivation as underachievement factors of elementary students with low science achievement was identified as having a relationship with high school stress and undesirable stress copying styles. Therefore, guidance and a program are required for the elementary student with low science achievement to have desirable stress coping methods on the stressful situations. In addition, for the improvement of science learning motivation, a learning environment is needed for the elementary students with low science achievement with seeking of relevant educational methods.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate nursing students' learning agility and confirm the mediating effect of self-leadership in the relationship between achievement motivation and learning agility. Methods: The study design was a descriptive survey design. The subjects were third- and fourth-year nursing students attending three universities in one region. Data were collected from November 28, 2019, to May 25, 2020, and a total of 202 data were collected using the scale of achievement motivation, self-leadership, and learning agility. Data analysis included frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and Pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS 25.0 statistics 25.0 software. The mediating effect of self-leadership was analyzed through regression analysis and bootstrapping using process macro ver. 3.4.1. Results: Self-leadership's partial mediating effect was confirmed in achievement motivation and learning agility. Achievement motivation was found to affect directly learning agility, with an indirect effect through self-leadership. Conclusion: The study results showed that nursing students could increase their learning agility through self-leadership improvement. Future research should focus on identifying the factors influencing nursing students' learning agility and develop and apply programs to improve learning agility.
Relationships between students' perception of psychological distance with online professors and their academic learning achievement and their intention to continue online learning were examined. The courses selected for this study are two online courses: 1) 'English Grammar' and 2) 'TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) Preparation' offered by a campus-based, medium-sized university. This study employed a mixed-methods approach by conducting a survey as well as one-on-one interviews with students. Students who feel psychologically distant with the online professors show significantly lower degree of perceived learning achievement, and higher tendency not to take online courses any more. All the three scales measuring the psychological distance -mutual awareness, connectedness, and availability- with professors turned out to be significantly related with students' perceived learning achievement. According to the result of the interview data analysis, the student interviewees unanimously said that the university should limit the number of online courses that students can register in a semester to one or two courses. Most students regard low interactivity of online learning as inevitable phenomenon. There is a statistically significant difference in perceived learning achievement between the online preferred group and the offline preferred group. Also, there is a significant difference in connectedness and availability and no significant difference in the degree of mutual awareness between the online and the offline preferred group.
The study was conducted to find out the interaction between learning styles, and types of task on satisfaction and achievement in Chinese learning on Facebook. 44 students from D University in Seoul, Korea finished the questionnaires. To measure the participants' learning styles and satisfaction, the learning style instrument and satisfaction instrument were used. The data received were analyzed to find out the interaction between learning styles, and types of task on satisfaction and achievement. Through the analysis, the study suggests that, in the SNS environment for learning, instructors should focus on more on types of tasks than learning styles. Learning styles are important, however, for new pedagogy for one new learning environment, types of task are definitely more important than learning styles. Depending on the study results, the instructors should pay more attention to types of task, and they should also use different strategies to facilitate the contents of tasks to improve achievement and satisfaction in an SNS environment.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of cooperative learning on the learning attitude and self-directed learning capability of learners. Methods: The subjects were 50 sophomores enrolled in cooperative learning for 12-week period from March to June, 2014. A self-reported questionnaire was completed by the subjects. The instruments were 16 questions of learning attitude, 32 questions of self-directed learning, academic achievement, and 12 questions of satisfaction with instruction by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha was 0.84 in the previous study and 0.78 in this study. Self-directed learning was modified by Yoo and Cheong. Cronbach's alpha of self-directed learning was 0.86 in this study. Academic achievement was assessed by before and after the cooperative learning class. Cronbach's alpha was 0.95 in this study. Their learning attitude and self-directed learning capability were evaluated before and after the cooperative learning, and their satisfaction with the instruction and academic achievement were assessed by the written examination. Results: The score of learning attitude increased from 2.89 in the pretest to 3.38 in the posttest. The self-directed learning of the students increased from 2.98 in the pretest to 3.48 in the posttest. The academic achievement of students also increased from 82.0 in the pretest to 85.2 in the posttest. The satisfaction with instruction was 4.24 of Likert 5 scale. There were significant differences in satisfaction with instruction, cooperative learning and academic achievement. Conclusions: It is important to develop the cooperative learning program linked to self-directed learning for the dental hygiene students continuously. This study will provide the basic data and information for the development of new teaching methods for the dental hygiene.
