Recently, Flipped Learning is attracting attention as a method for qualitative growth of university education. Flipped Learning is a kind of computer based education and consisted of online video lectures and offline student activities. This paper introduces the results of applying Flipped Learning for one semester to Korean linguistic norms course. As for this course, the contents related to the knowledge and information were provided individually before the class through online video, and the offline classes focused on student-led activities. When qualitatively evaluating the results of the course, students developed a more comprehensive and flexible mind set beyond the preexisting normative attitudes and showed increase in analytical and critical thinking in understanding the principles of linguistic norms and spelling system. According to these results we argue that it is necessary to actively adopt Flipped Learning in the humanities education, including the grammar classes.

최근의 새로운 교수 학습 형태인 웹기반 교육에서의 가장 중요한 요소는 시.공간적으로 떨어져 있는 학습자의 학습 상황을 파악하고 분석하여, 학습자에게 적절한 학습내용과 과정을 제시하는 하는 것이 무엇보다도 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 웹기반 교수 시스템에서 학습자의 수준에 맞는 적합한 학습 내용과 평가 문제를 제공하고, 그 평가 결과를 분석하여 반복학습 및 심화학습을 효과적으로 제공하고, 차기 학습을 할 경우에 이에 기초하여 적절한 학습이 이루어질 수 있도록 한다. 이를 위해 코스웨어를 설계시 학습목표의 중요도, 학습내용의 난이도, 학습목표와 학습내용과의 관련성과 각 항목의 가중치를 고려한 퍼지 함수에 의해 퍼지 소속성을 가진 퍼지 언어 변수로 각 프레임에 대한 수준을 표현한다. 또한, 학습의 평가도 문제의 난이도, 관련학습 자료의 난이도, 관련 학습목표의 중요도, 각각의 관련성을 고려하여 퍼지 함수에 의해 언어 변수로 평가된다. 이와 같이 퍼지 함수를 이용함으로써 학습자의 수준을 분석하고, 이에 적절한 학습 및 평가 내용을 제공하는데 여러가지 다양하고 불확실한 요소들을 고려하여 처리함으로써 보다 융통성 있고 효과적인 교수 학습 방법이 될 수 있다.

When English language teachers are deciding on their priorities for teaching pronunciation, it is imperative to know what kind of differences and errors are most likely to interfere with communication, and what special problems particular first-language speakers will have with English pronunciation. In other words, phoneme discrimination skill is an integral part of speech processing for the EFL learners' learning to converse in English. Training using sound visualization technique can be effective in improving second language learners' perceptions and productions of segmental and suprasegmental speech contrasts. This study assessed the efficacy of a pronunciation training that provided visual feedback for EFL learners acquiring pitch and durational contrasts to produce and perceive English phonemic distinctions. The subjects' ability to produce and to perceive novel English words was tested in two contexts before and after training; words in isolation and words in sentences. In comparison with an untrained control group, trainees showed improved perceptual and productive performance, transferred their knowledge to new contexts, and maintained their improvement three months after training. These findings support the feasibility of learner-centered programs using sound visualization technique for English language pronunciation instruction.

In this paper, we propose an improvement plan to increase the learning effect and satisfaction through the PBL - related video design class. PBL To prepare for the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, we must acquire diverse knowledge and skills to discover problems and solve them creatively. Therefore, various learning methods are being studied, and one of them is PBL learning. PBL is a learner-centered education that explores problems that may arise from specific topics other than existing curriculum-based education methods and finds solutions to problems. In this study, two lectures on video design related to video contents and image contents were taught in PBL class, and PBL class problem was analyzed and the improvement plan was studied.

In recent years, in order to enhance the problem-solving skills required by the industrial field, universities have introduced the Problem-Based Learning(PBL) method to solve the problems caused by the lack of creativity, problem solving ability and self-directed learning. This study applied PBL class methods such as 'learning based on individual specific problems', 'self-directed learning', and 'small-group learning of small members' to practical design of fashion design. To do this, I conducted a questionnaire after conducting research based on the PBL module for one semester in a practical class of fashion design major at P University. As a result of the survey, the satisfaction and achievement of the class conducted by PBL learning method was improved than the existing teaching method. As such, if PBL class is used as a way of solving problems through close communication between professors and learners, it is expected to be established as a learner-centered education method that can improve creativity and professionalism.

최근 프로그래밍 교육은 쉽고 재밌게 학습할 수 있는 다양한 교육용 프로그래밍 언어의 보급으로 일반 학생들의 사고력 배양을 위한 효과적인 학습으로 널리 인식되고 있다. 또한 프로그래밍의 효과를 증진시킬 수 있는 다양한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 학습 효과에 영향을 미치는 많은 변인 중에서 학습자 자체에 대한 이해가 중요하고 그에 맞는 교육이 중요함을 논의하였다. 학습자들의 개성을 존중하고 학습자들의 개인차를 반영한 학습자 중심 교육이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 학습자들의 특성과 프로그래밍 교육의 개념을 다중지능 이론 관점에서 살펴보고 학습자 중심의 프로그래밍 교육 방향을 연구했다.

Experience API provides a learner-centered model for learning data collection and learning process recording. In particular, it can record learning data from multiple data sources. Therefore, Experience API provides very good support for ubiquitous learning. In this paper, we put forward the architecture of ubiquitous learning system and the method of reading the learning record from the ubiquitous learning system. We analyze students' learning behavior from two aspects: horizontal and vertical, and give the analysis results. The system can provide personalized suggestions for learners according to the results of learning analysis. According to the feedback from learners, we can see that this u-learning system can greatly improve learning interest and quality of learners.

In Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, phoneme-based pronunciation teaching such as tone, consonants, vowels is the most common teaching methods. Based on main character of Chinese grammar: 'lack of morphological change' in a narrow sense, was proposed by Lv Shuxiang and Zhu Dexi, I designed 'Communicative oriented Chinese pronunciation teaching method'. This teaching method is composed of seven elements: one kind is the 'structural elements': phoneme, word, phrase, sentence; another kind is the 'functional elements': listening, speaking and translation. This pronunciation teaching method has four kinds of practice methods: 1) phoneme learning method; 2) word based pronunciation practice; 3) phrase based pronunciation practice; 4) sentence based pronunciation practice. When the teachers use these practice methods, they can use the dialogue and Korean-Chinese translation. In particular, when the teachers use 'phoneme learning method', they must use Korean and Chinese phonetic comparison results. When the teachers try to correct learner's errors, they must first consider the speech communication.

In the age of technology and information, communicating with people from different cultures is significantly important. Regarding this perspective, communicative competence has been the focus in the EFL educational context. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of using movies in a culture-integrated English reading course at the college level. In order to achieve this purpose, pre- and post-reading comprehension tests, pre- and post-surveys and in-depth interviews were conducted. The results of data analysis showed that using movies in the culture-integrated English reading class positively affected students' interest and confidence towards English reading as well as their reading achievement. In this respect, we suggest that cultural teaching through movies in English classes should be learner-centered so that learners can proactively analyze and understand different cultural backgrounds shown in the movies and build schemas which can be used in their learning process.

Purpose - This study focused on the development of a Korean language curriculum to solve the problem of Korean literacy among students from multicultural families. Research design, data, and methodology - A case study was conducted on Sim(2018)'s learner-centered learning model to develop an educational plan including AI technology, which will help students from multicultural families to effectively improve their communication and learning skills by improving their reading, writing, and speaking of Korean. Result - Total of six educational plans using AI technology (Microsoft PowerPoint's drawing function, AutoDraw, and Google's Four-cut cartoons) were developed. Conclusion - The curriculum using AI is expected to greatly contribute to the recovery of language learning ability and confidence in studies necessary to improve learners' language education.
