시폰케이크 제조 시 첨가한 대잎 분말이 케이크의 품질 및 보존성에 미치는 영향 연구 (Quality Characteristics and Storage Properties of Chiffon-cake Containing added Bamboo Leaf Powder)

  • Bamboo leaf powder was added to Chiffon cake to increase its neutraceutical effects and storage periods. Specifically, 0, 7, 10 and 13% leaf powder was added to the cakes. The content of total dietary fiber in the bamboo leaf powder was 65.57%. The moisture content did not differ significantly among groups. The cake containing 10% bamboo leaf powder had the greatest volume, whereas the control group (0% bamboo leaf powder) had the lowest volume (p<0.05). The Hunter's L and a values decreased significantly as the amount of bamboo leaf powder increased. The b value of the control was lowest among the groups (p<0.05). Evaluation of the consumer acceptance of flavor revealed that the cakes containing the added bamboo leaf had greater consumer acceptance than the control. However, when the color was evaluated, the 13% group showed the lowest acceptance (p<0.05). Other factors such as texture, taste and overall acceptance did not differ significantly among groups. Additionally, the elasticity did not differ among groups, while the air cells were most uniform in the control. The strength of bamboo leaf aroma, bitter taste and aftertaste increased as the amount of bamboo leaf powder added increased. Cakes containing 10% and 13% added powder had the greatest moisture content, while the control had the lowest content (p<0.05). As in previous studies, the results of this study indicated that 10% bamboo leaf powder was the optimal level for the preparation of Chiffon cake. To evaluate the storage of cakes, the 10% group and the control were inoculated with Aspergillus oryzae and then incubated at $30^{\circ}C$ for 6 days. The microbial colony counts in the control group were dramatically increased after 48 hrs; however, the fungal concentration of the 10% group did not increase for 4 days. In conclusion, the addition of 10% bamboo leaf powder to Chiffon cake increased the storage time while maintaining adequate consumer acceptance.

식품첨가제용 뽕잎 농축액의 제조 및 특성평가 (Manufacturing and Characterization evaluation of mulberry concentrate for food additive)

  • 뽕잎을 다양한 방법으로 추출하여 수율을 측정한 결과 저온 초음파 추출법과 알콜 추출법이 효율적이었다. 식품첨가제로 활용하기 위한 뽕잎 농축액의 특성을 조사한 결과, 알콜 추출 농축액이 농축액별 곰팡이 증식에 대해 가장 우수한 억제력을 보였다. 색상의 변화는 비교적 안정적이었으나 뽕잎 열수 추출액의 경우는 전처리 과정이 없을 경우 갈변현상이 발생하였으며, 탁도의 변화조사와 비슷한 결과를 통해 열수 추출의 경우는 식품첨가제로서 그대로 이용하기엔 부족함을 인지할 수 있었다. 시간에 따른 농축액별 침전물 변화를 조사한 결과를 본 결과 필터를 통한 여과과정만 거친다면 알콜 추출과 당 추출의 경우는 거의 유사한 결과를 얻을 수 있으므로 식품첨가제 활용하기 위해 두 추출법은 모두 용이하다 할 수 있다. 그러나 농축액의 수율과 특성을 동시에 고려하여 농가에서 활용할 수 있는 가장 손쉬운 방법은 알콜 추출법으로 판단되었다.

뽕잎분말 첨가 비율에 따른 인절미의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Injeulmi Made with Different Ratios of Mulberry Leaf Powder)

  • This study investigated the quality characteristics of Pongnip Injeulmi samples according to different mulberry leaf powder(MLP) contents. The moisture levels of the samples ranged from 47.43 to 49.16%, with the 0% MLP sample presenting the highest moisture level. The amounts of crude protein, crude fat, and crude ash in samples were in ranges of 3.82${\sim}$5.01%, 0.05${\sim}$0.2%, and 0.65${\sim}$1.62%, respectively, and the values increased with increasing MLP content. Color L and b values decreased, while the a-value increased, with increasing MLP content. The 0% sample showed the highest gelatinization temperature of 63.4$^{\circ}$C, and the viscosity decreased with increasing MLP content. Texture and hardness also decreased with increasing MLP content, however, over 3 days storage, they increased in all samples. Finally, in the sensory tests, the 6% MLP sample received the highest scores for color, flavor, sweetness, texture and overall acceptability.

벼 소식재배를 위한 무복토 육묘 연구 (A Research on None Covering of Top-soil for Rice Seedling Nursery for Sparse Machine Transplanted Rice)

  • To determine none top soil covering in rice seedling nursery method for the sparse machine transplanting, four different sowing methods were tested. Shoot and root length, fresh weight, leaf number and color using leaf color chart(LCC) and SPAD were collected as the data comparison of methods. The seedling height showed the highest growth according to the conventional (230g seed rate of pre-emerged seeds and top-soil covering) > high sowing density 1 (290g seed rate of pre-emerged seeds and top-soil covering) ≥ high sowing density 2(290g seed rate of pre-emerged seeds and none top-soil covering) > high sowing density 3(290g seed rate of iron-coated seeds and none top-soil covering). There was any statistical difference between groups in root length, leaf number, LCC, and SPAD values. Thus, a high sowing density of 290g for rice nursery seedling box was recommended to the sparse machine transplanting in rice cultivation with the none top-soil covering method, enabling convenient handling in transportation and machine transplanting work.

추대가 늦고 색깔이 진한 새로운 잎상추 '춘풍적축면' 육성 (Development of Late Bolting and New Deep Red Leaf with Wrinkled Lettuce 'Chunpungjeokchukmyeon')

  • '춘풍적축면'은 '포자비적축면'과 '먹치마'를 교배 육성한 잎상추로 누운타원형 잎을 가진 축면 상추이다. 2000년 교배하여 2007년까지 계통육종법에 선발과 고정을 하였다. 전국 6개 지역(대관령, 경기, 충북, 전북, 경남, 제주)에서 2년간 봄, 여름, 가을 재배하였을 때 평균 2,069 kg/10a을 나타내어 기존 품종보다 주당 53매 정도의 잎을 수확할 수 있으며, 주당 무게는 평균 372 g으로 6% 수량성이 많은 품종이다. '춘풍적 축면'은 회색종자이며 누운타원형이다. 잎 상단부는 붉고 검으며 광택이 좋으며 잎 기부는 녹색으로 생육 모습은 초기에는 치마의 형태로 자라다가 후기에는 축면의 특성이 나타나는 치마와 축면의 중간형인 새로운 형태이다. 숙기는 정식 후 25일 후부터 수확이 가능한 중생종이며, 고온기 비가림하우스 재배시 적색이 늦게까지 유지되는 특성을 가지고 있다. 적색발현의 주 요인인 안토시안닌 함량은 17.5 mg/100g으로 기존 대조품종인 뚝섬적축면보다 3배 이상 많아 고온기 적색발현이 늦게까지 유지된다. 쓴맛 성분인 락투신(latucin+8-deoxylactucin+lactucopicrin)은 뚝섬적축면보다 적어 쓴맛이 적고 단맛이 나며 아삭아삭하여 맛이 좋다. 이것은 잎두께와 엽연이 뚝섬적축면보다 조밀하고, 잎의 경도가 19.8 kg/$cm^2$로 뚝섬적축면보다 강한 특성을 가지고 있기 때문이다. 이에 신품종 '춘풍적축면'은 봄작형에 적합한 품종이다.

황색종 연초에서 mammoth gene과 흰꽃의 유전 (Inheritance of Mammoth Gene and White Flower in Flue-cured Tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum L.))

  • The genetic makeup could be the most important among many factors affecting yield and quality of tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum L.). The mammoth gene found in N. tabacum is associated with greater leaf number and poor leaf quality. This study was carried out to obtain the basic information about the inheritance of mammoth gene and white flower color. Two flue-cured breeding lines, KF 9373-2 and KF 8832-85, F$_1$, F$_2$, two parents backcrossed with F$_1$, and F$_3$ lines derived from cross of above two lines were investigated for flowering type(mammoth gene) and flower color. All plants of F$_1$ population revealed normal flowering type and pink flower color. The progeny of F$_2$ generation was segregated into the phenotypic ratio of 9 : 3 : 3 : 1 with normal flowering type and pink flower color, normal and white, non flowering type(NF) and pink, and NF and white, respectively. Among the progenies of back-crossing populations, the flowering type showed a segregation ratio of 1 : 1 as normal and NF in BP$_1$ and flower color did also 1 : 1 as pink and white in BP$_2$. All lines have the mammoth gene in F$_3$. that were selected in F$_2$ progeny as non flowering. But 9 lines among 14 were segregated with 3 : 1 as pink and white flower in F$_3$. which were selected in F$_2$ as pink flower color. These results indicated that the characters of mammoth gene and white flower were controlled by a pair of recessive genes, respectively.

중부지방 낙엽조경수목의 열매색 특성 및 지속 기간에 관한 연구 (A study on the fruit color characteristics and persisting period of deciduous woody landscape plants in Middle area of Korea)

  • The fruit color characteristics and persisting period of deciduous woody landscape plants were investigated through the field survey in Suwon region from January 1, 1992 to March 20, 1993. The summary of the study results was as follows; The total fruit color persisting period was about 320 days from May 1, 1992 when Prunus mume was beginning of fruit coloring, to March 20, 1993 when the fruits of Platanus occidentalis and platanus X acerifolia were persisting. And the plants of fruit persisting period over 60 days after leaf falling were Vibumum erosum, Ilex serrata, Ilex verticillata 'Christmas Cheer', Platanus X acerifolia, Platanus occidentalis, Berberis thunbergii 'Atropupurea', Ligustrum obtusifolium. According to the KBS standard color number, 52.6% of of the fruit color were red, 18.9% yellow, 11.6% black, green 9.5%, white 2.1%, violet 1.1%, and red is followed black 4.2%. Evodia daniellii, Ilex verticillata 'Christmas Cheer', Ilex serrata, Ginkgo biloba, Lindera obtusiloba, and Lindera erythrocarpa should be planted male and female species together for fruits. We got the new information on the fruit color characteritics and persisting period of Malus 'Hopa', Malus 'Almey', Malus 'Pioneer X', Acer rubrum, Malus prunifolia, Pyrus serotina, Berberis thunbergii 'Atropurpurea', Vibumum rhytidophyllum, Rosa spp. Vitis vinifera, Vaccinium angustifolium, Ilex verticillata 'Christmas Cheer', Magnolia stellata, Aronia arbutifolia, Sorbus alnifolia, Lonicera japonica var. aueroreticulta, and Ligustrum X vicaryi. And we need to introduce new cultivars of woody landscape plants including Malus spp, Berberis spp, Sorbus alnifolia yellow autumn leaf clone etc. for the better planting design. The fruit persisting period of woody landscape plants studied by fruit name was that sorosis 276 days, samara 155 days, legume 153 days, hip 133 days, pome was 124 days, drupe 92 days, berry 73 days, capsule 67 days, follicle 55 days and nut 52 days respectively.

In vitro Selection of Acifluorfen-tolerant Solanum ptycanthum and Phenotypic Variation in Regenerated Plants

  • Acifluorfen-tolerant callus lines of Solanum ptycanthum were isolated by stepwise selection. Growth of the unselected line was completely inhibited at 0.5 uM. while some selected lines grew at 8 uM acifluorfen. Twenty-two of twenty-five acifluorfen-tolerant callus lines regenerated shoots. Many of the regenerated somaclones were variants, differing in leaf shape, leaf color, number of flower parts, flower color, and fertility. The acifluorfen tolerant S. ptycanthum callus lines differed.

  • In this study, we present a 260k color TFT LCD driver chip set that consumes only 5 mW in the module, which has exceptionally low power consumption. To reduce power consumption, we used many power-lowering schemes in the logic and analog design. A driver IC for LCDs has a built-in graphic SRAM. Besides write and read operations, the graphic SRAM has a scan operation that is similar to the read operation of one row-line, which is displayed on one line in an LCD panel. Currently, the embedded graphic memory is implemented by an 8-transistor leaf cell and a 6-transistor leaf cell. We propose an efficient scan method for a 6-transistor embedded graphic memory that is greatly improved over previous methods. The proposed method is implemented in a 0.22 ${\mu}m$ process. We demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed method by measuring and comparing the current consumption of chips with and without our proposed scheme.

Occurrence of Chrysanthemum stunt viroid in Chrysanthemum in Korea

  • Infection rate of Chrysanthemum stunt viroid (CSVd) in 64 commercial chrysanthemum cultivars cultivated in Korea ranged from 9.7 to 66.8$\%$. Symptoms on leaves of CSVd-infected chrysanthemum included yellow spots, chlorosis, vein clearing, vein bending and crumpling. CSVd induced flower malformation in 'Scot', color change in 'Sharotte', and color breaking in 'Sharon'. CSVd caused reduction of plant height, leaf size, flower size and the flowers number by $32-50\%,\;26-35\%$, $14-36\%\;and\;14-75\%$, respectively. In conclusion, CSVd affected plant height, leaf size and flower quality in chrysanthemum plants.
