고령운전자를 위한 자율주행차량 기능 연구 (인터랙션 디자인을 중심으로) (Study on the Autonomous Vehicle Feature for the Elderly Driver (Focusing on Interaction Design))

  • 우리나라는 2018년 고령자 인구가 전체인구의 14.4%를 차지하여 고령사회(aged society)로 진입하였고 2026년에 초고령사회로 진입할 예정이다. 특히, 2050년에는 고령자 인구가 전체 인구의 38%로서 고령자 수가 세계에서 가장 많은 나라 중에 하나가 될 것으로 예측되고 있다[1]. 고령자 인구의 증가는 자연스럽게 고령 운전자의 교통사고 증가로 이어지고 있는데, 2017년 우리나라 교통사고 가운데 65세 이상 고령 운전자 교통 사고는 2만 6,713건으로 848명이 사망하고 부상자 3만 8,627명이 발생했다. 2011년과 비교하면 사고 건수와 부상자 수는 약 2배, 사망자 수는 1.4배 증가했다[3]. 본 연구는 교통사고 증가의 주된 요인이 시각/청각 능력의 저하, 인지 및 정보처리 능력의 저하, 근력의 저하 등 고령운전자의 특성에 의한 것이라고 판단하였다. 이에 운전의 부담을 최소화할 수 있는 고령운전자를 위한 자율주행차량(레벨2)의 필요성을 제기하였으며, 새로운 기술에 익숙하지 않은 고령운전자를 위한 자율주행차량 기능을 연구하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 바탕으로 도로환경에 따른 명료한 정보 제공/운전자의 물리적 신체 특성 고려/단순한 인터페이스/차량내 안전장치의 보강이라는 고령운전자를 위한 자율주행차량의 4가지 기능을 도출하였다.

광(光)잡음 저감 기술을 이용한 차량용 가시광 통신시스템 (Vehicle Visible Light Communication System Utilizing Optical Noise Mitigation Technology)

  • LED는 조명뿐만 아니라 휴대폰, 자동차, 디스플레이 등과 같은 다양한 분야에 널리 사용되고 있으며, LED 조명과 통신이 융합된 가시광 통신(VLC)이 크게 주목을 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 일반적인 차량에서 사용되고 있는 적색, 황색 LED를 이용하여 차량 간(V2V) 데이터를 전송할 수 있는 차량 간 가시광 통신시스템을 직접 구현하고 실험하였다. 전위 차량에서 수집된 데이터와 속도 데이터인 서로 다른 데이터들을 차량의 후미등인 적색, 황색 LED를 이용해 NRZ-OOK로 변조하여 가시광으로 각각 전송했으며, 광 검출기(PD)는 가시광 신호를 수신하여 데이터를 복원한다. 형광등과 자연광의 간섭 광의 영향을 감소시키기 위해, 간섭제거를 위한 PD를 설치하였으며, 편광필터와 차동증폭기를 이용한 간섭제거기를 사용하였다. 제안된 가시광 통신시스템이 이상적인 경우, 실내 그리고 실외환경에서 성능을 분석하였다. 실외환경에서 약 30[cm]거리를 유지하고 4800[bps] 전송속도를 갖는 차량 간 데이터전송에서 적색 LED는 약 13.63[dB], 황색 LED는 약 11.90[dB]의 성능 향상을 얻을 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

승용차의 도로면 발생 소음 개선을 위한 시험 및 평가 연구 (Integrated Test and Evaluation for Improvement of Vehicle Road Noise)

  • Several tests are performed to evaluate road booming noise. Baseline test delivers the information of road noise characteristics. Coupling effect between structure and acoustics is obtained from the mode shapes and the natural frequencies by the modal test. Equivalent stiffness at joint areas between chassis and car-body system can be determined by the input point inertance test. Noise sensitivity of body mounting point of a chassis part can be obtained from the noise transfer function test with input point inertance test. Operational deflection shape makes us analyze the actual vibration modes of the chassis system under actual leading and find noise sources very easily. Finally, the transfer path analysis is used to Identify noise Paths through the chassis system. The objectives and the procedures of the tests are described in this Paper Also, the guideline for efficient road noise evaluation test can be found.

Active Flow Control on a UCAV Planform Using Synthetic Jets

  • This paper deals with experimental investigation of active flow control via synthetic jets using an unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV) planform. Fourteen arrays of synthetic jets, mounted along both leading edges, were fully or partially activated to increase aerodynamic efficiency and reduce pitch-up moment. The measurements were carried out using a six-component external balance, a pressure scanner, and tuft flow visualization. It was observed that aerodynamic efficiency (L/D) and pitching moment were clearly affected by the location of jets. In particular, inboard and outboard actuation could effectively increase L/D. Moreover, inboard actuation showed a reduction in the pitch-up, even more than that generated by the full actuation. These results suggest that inboard actuation not only effectively increases L/D but also reduces the pitch-up using only a few actuators.

컬러 정보와 그룹화 블록스네이크를 이용한 전방 차량 및 다차선 인식 알고리즘 (Close Leading Vehicle Il Multi-Lane Recognition Algorithm Using Color Information and Grouped Block Snake)

  • 본 논문에서는 그룹화 블록스네이크와 영상분할을 이용하여 다차선을 검출하고 컬러 정보를 기반으로 차량 후면에 위치하는 미등과 브레이크등을 인식, 저속 주행환경에서의 다차선 및 전방차량을 인식하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안한 알고리즘에서는 기울기 값과 명암도 값으로 기초 블록을 얻은 뒤, 차선의 가능성이 큰 블록을 탐색하여 영상분할을 시행한다. 영상 분할에서 잡음 블록들을 제거하여 차선일 가능성이 가장 높은 블록들만을 검출하고, 그룹화 블록스네이크를 이용하여 차선을 검출하도록 하였다. 또한 전방 차량인식을 위해 미등과 브레이크등의 컬러 특징을 이용하여 후보 영역을 분할한 후, 미등과 브레이크등의 패턴의 기하학적 특징과 위치적 특징을 이용하여 한 쌍의 미등 혹은 브레이크등을 탐지하도록 하였다. 탐지된 양쪽 등의 위치정보를 이용하여 전방차량의 위치를 측정 할 수 있다.

AUTOMOTIVE FORMABILITY SIMULATION PROCESS FOR EARLY DESIGN PHASES

  • Formability simulation of automotive panels at early design phases can reduce product and tooling development time and cost. However, for the simulation to be effective in leading the design process, fast and reliable results should be achieved with limited design definition and minimum modeling effort. In this paper, nonlinear finite element analysis is used to develop an automated process for the formability simulation of automotive body panels at early design phases. Due to the limited design definition at early design phases, the automated simulation process is based on the plane strain analysis for selected number of typical sections along the panel. Therefore, an entire panel can be analyzed with few sections. The state of plane strain can be easily induced, during simulation through symmetry and applied boundary conditions that simplify the modeling process. To study the reliability and effectiveness of the developed simulation process, the analytical results are compared with measured results of production automotive body side panels. The comparison demonstrates that the developed simulation process is reliable and can be effective for analyzing sheet metal formability, in early vehicle development phases.

Impact of temperature cycling on fracture resistance of asphalt concretes

  • Asphalt pavements are exposed to complex weather conditions and vehicle traffic loads leading to crack initiation and crack propagation in asphalt pavements. This paper presents the impact of weather conditions on fracture toughness of an asphalt concrete, prevalently employed in Ardabil road networks, under tensile (mode I) and shear (mode II) loading. An improved semi-circular bend (SCB) specimen was employed to carry out the fracture experiments. These experiments were performed in two different weather conditions namely fixed and cyclic temperatures. The results showed that consideration of the impact of temperature cycling resulted in decreasing the fracture toughness of asphalt concrete significantly. Furthermore, the fracture toughness was highly affected by loading mode for the both fixed and cyclic temperature conditions studied in this paper. In addition, it was found that the MTS criterion correctly predicts the onset of fracture initiation although this prediction was slightly conservative.

  • Bogie frame of the electric car is an important structural member for the support of vehicle leading. In general, more than 25 years' durability is necessary. A lot of study has been carried out for the prediction of the structural integrity of the bogie frame in experimental and theoretical domains. One of the useful methods is reliability-based approach. The objective of this paper is to estimate the structural integrity of the bogie frame of an electric car, which is under the running test. We used two approachs. In the first approach probabilistic distribution of S-N curve is used. In the second approach, limit state function is used.

도로표지병의 형태 및 기능 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of the Shape and Performance of Raised Pavement Marker)

  • The existing raised pavement marker, however, have some limitations. Most of them are square-shaped which makes only forward and backward retro-reflection, their orientation can be easily changed by impact of vehicle, and the surface reflector can be readily contaminated leading poor functioning. In addition, maintenance for broken raised pavement marker is not easy. The purpose of the study is to design and manufacture a new and improved type of raised pavement marker. The new raised pavement marker has round-shaped upper structure. Its body was separated from the holder and the reflector was surrounded by acrylic cover. We tested performances of the constituent parts, optimum load after installation, and reflection efficiency. The new raised pavement marker will be an initiation of studies on the improvement of the shape and performance of raised pavement markers.

  • Science and Technology Park (STP) is perceived to be a vehicle in promoting innovation-based economic growth within the framework of regional and national innovation systems. STP is a tool to encourage regional innovation and competitiveness in increasing contribution of science and technology in economic development. STP can also be a leading sector in creating conducive environment for local community's technopreneurship. In relation to the vision outlined in the 2025 Indonesian Master Plan of Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia's Economic (MP3EI), STP is stated to be an important element in creating innovation within the framework of Special Economic Zone among six Economic Corridors. Hence, the government of Indonesia continues to encourage the development of STPs in Indonesia by involving local governments, universities, business players and stakeholders surround the area. Ultimately, STP is a platform in developing National Innovation System (NIS) and Regional Innovation System (RIS).
