  • With the development of artificial intelligence technology, interest in data-based product preference estimation and personalized recommender systems is increasing. However, if the recommendation is not suitable, there is a risk that it may reduce the purchase intention of the customer and even extend to a huge financial loss due to the characteristics of the financial product. Therefore, developing a recommender system that comprehensively reflects customer characteristics and product preferences is very important for business performance creation and response to compliance issues. In the case of financial products, product preference is clearly divided according to individual investment propensity and risk aversion, so it is necessary to provide customized recommendation service by utilizing accumulated customer data. In addition to using these customer behavioral characteristics and transaction history data, we intend to solve the cold-start problem of the recommender system, including customer demographic information, asset information, and stock holding information. Therefore, this study found that the model proposed deep learning-based collaborative filtering by deriving customer latent preferences through characteristic information such as customer investment propensity, transaction history, and financial product information based on customer transaction log records was the best. Based on the customer's financial investment mechanism, this study is meaningful in developing a service that recommends a high-priority group by establishing a recommendation model that derives expected preferences for untraded financial products through financial product transaction data.

  • Toxoplasma gondii is an important opportunistic agent especially in immunocompromised hosts and can cause significant morbidity and mortality. Hence, detection and monitoring of anti-Toxoplasma antibodies are of a great interest in HIV-infected patients. A study on the prevalence of toxoplasmosis and associated risk factors was carried out among HIV-infected patients in Jahrom, southern Iran. The prevalence of anti-Toxoplasma IgG antibodies was 21.1% in HIV-infected patients by ELISA. PCR was performed on all of the samples, and 1 of the blood samples was positively detected. Among the HIV patients, anti-Toxoplasma IgG antibodies were significantly higher in age group of 30-39 years old (P=0.05). The seroprevalence of toxoplasmosis in patients with $CD4^+$ < $100cells/{\mu}l$ was 33.3% that was significantly higher than the other groups (P=0.042) with or without IgG antibodies. The $CD4^+$ count mean of seropositive patients was lower than that of seronegative patients. The seroprevalence of toxoplasmosis in patients with highly active antiretroviral therapy was significantly less than patients without therapy (P=0.02). In conclusion, this study showed low seroprevalence of latent toxoplasmosis among HIV-infected patients in the region and confirmed the need for intensifying prevention efforts among this high-risk population and also the risk of toxoplasmosis reactivation which could be important among this population.

  • Background: In recent years, the interest in health and safety in the workplace has increased. Agriculture is one of the human work activities with the highest risk indexes. Studies on risk perception of agricultural workers are often referred to as specific risk factors (especially pesticides), but the risk perception plays an important role in preventing every kind of accident and occupational disease. Methods: The aim of this research is to test a new method for understanding the relation between risk perception among farmers and the main risk factors to which they are exposed. A secondary aim is to investigate the influence of training in risk perception in agriculture. The data collection was realized using a questionnaire designed to investigate the risk perception; the questionnaire was given to a sample of 119 agricultural workers in central Italy. Through the use of the "principal components analysis" it was possible to highlight and verify the latent dimensions underlying the collected data in comparison with scales of attitudes. Results: Results show that the highest percentage of strong negative attitude is among the people who have worked for more years, while farmers who have worked for fewer years have a marked positive attitude. Conclusion: The analysis of the questionnaires through the synthetic index method (Rizzi index) showed that agricultural workers involved, in particular the elderly workers, have a negative attitude towards safety; workers are hostile to safety measures if they have not attended special training courses.

  • The CLW (Cloud Liquid Water) is a parameter of vital interest in both modeling and forecasting weather. In mesoscale models, the magnitude of latent heat effects corresponds to the amount of CLW, which is important in the development of a certain weather system. The goal of this study is the estimation of CLW by GMS-5 data which is compared with that of SSM/I data and GMR(Grounded Microwave Radiometer)data. First of all, we found out the relationship of cloud albedo to cloud thickness, and caculated the CLW using the result of the relationship. The CLW amount of SSM/I or GMR and that of GMS-5 were compared, respectively. The correlation coefficient was about 0.86 and RMSE was 9.23 mg/$cm^2$ between GMS-5 data and GMR data. And also the correlation coefficient was 0.84 and RMSE was 14.02 mg/$cm^2$ between GMS-5 data and SSM/I data.

  • Dynamic Nelson-Siegel model is widely used in modeling term structure of interest rates for financial products. In this study, we explain dynamic Nelson-Siegel model from the perspective of the state space model and explore Bayesian approaches that can be applied to that model. By applying SOFR term rate data to the Bayesian dynamic Nelson-Siegel model, we confirm the performance and compare it with other competing models such as Vasicek model, dynamic Nelson-Siegel model based on the frequentist approach, and the two-factor Bayesian dynamic Nelson-Siegel model. We also confirm that the Bayesian dynamic Nelson-Siegel model outperformed its competitors on SOFR term rate data based on RMSE.

  • This study examines the essays of academic background, written by students from a university, which is classified into prestigious universities in Korean society. By Latent Dirichlet Allocation, 172 essays were analyzed to explore the students' perspectives of the academic fractionalism. The analysis identified five topics such as, functional aspects (Topic 1), double-edged nature (Topic 2), power communities (Topic 3), symbols of victory (Topic 4), and dysfunctional aspects (Topic 5). The most frequently appearing keywords are 'individual,' 'status,' and 'means' in Topic 1, 'definition,' 'school,' and 'meaning' in Topic 2, 'people,' 'origin,' and 'power' in Topic 3, 'university,' 'ability,' and 'effort' in Topic 4, and 'academic achievement,' 'South Korea,' and 'origin' in Topic 5. By exploring the topics, we found that students regarded class reproduction by education as important social issues and they showed little interest in other factors influencing academic fractionalism, such as race or ethnicity. these findings suggest that professars, who teach the impact of education on academic fractionalism, deal with the influence of diverse factors on academic fractionalism.

  • This study was conducted to examine the reliability and validity of the internet (IOS-Q), Game (GOS-Q), and Smartphone (SOS-Q) Overuse Screening Questionnaires in a large community sample of adolescents. To achieve this goal, data from 9,336 middle school students (male: 4,796, female: 4,540) was divided into two groups and analyzed by conducting confirmatory factor analysis and exploratory factor analysis, respectively. We conducted another confirmatory factor analysis on a separate sample of data from 4,536 elementary school students (male: 2,260 male, female: 2,276) and 6,551 middle school students (male: 3,013, female: 3,538) from other populations. As a result of factor analysis, IOS-Q was consisted of 17 items, GOS-Q was consisted of 19 items, and SOS-Q was consisted of 18 items. The IOS-Q and GOS-Q factors were psychological dependence, failure to control use despite recognizing problems, dangerous use, and reduced interest in other areas while the SOS-Q factors were dangerous and obsessive use, failure to control use despite recognizing problems, reduced interest in other areas, and withdrawal/tolerance. Each factor reflected the major facets of behavioral addiction or impulse control disorder, and the questionnaires had good internal consistencies of .880-.915. Latent profile and ROC analyses were conducted to determine cutoff points for screening high-risk groups. Lastly, theoretical and practical implications as well as the limitations of this study were discussed.

  • Objectives: In the past, latent dreams were emphasized in the psychiatric field, but these days the interest in manifest dreams is increasing as ego psychology develops. Hall and Nordby proposed that there are similarities between manifest dreams and real life. The Hall/Van de Castle System is a method of dream content analysis, which considers both the quantitive and qualitive analytic aspects of manifest dreams. Methods: The dreams of 232 males and females (M:F=127:105;mean age=21.02.7) were collected through the Most Recent Dream Method. Collected data were analyzed using the Hall/Van de Castle System. Results: Female subjects tended to be more detailed and meticulous in reporting their dreams. The dreams of male subjects showed a higher percentage in self-negativity (2=6.64, df=1, p=0.004), and the dreams of female subjects showed a higher percentage in group character (2=6.64, df=1, p=0.0099), dreamer-involved success (2=3.12, df=1, p=0.048), and good fortune (2=4.52, df=1, p=0.034). Conclusion: This study suggests the norm of dream content of Korean college students, and it presents the differences between Korean males and females, and between Korean college students and American college students. This study may contribute to further studies on dream content analysis.

  • The study has examined the relationship between the middle school students´ after school activities and leisure satisfaction to provide the opportunity of making good use of leisure time and of developing students´ latent talent and aptitude. The research finding are as follows : 1. Based on socio-demographic variables. the female students had more rates of participation in talent and aptitude educational activity than male students. The number of the students from rural areas was much bigger than that of cities such as Gwangju or other big cities in Chonnam. But the students whose parents made a lot of money showed less interest in participating talent and aptitude educational activities. 2. Based on the research of socio-demographic variables, students from counties or smaller areas showed more satisfaction than Gwangju in leisure satisfaction among the six subordinate categories. 7th graders were more satisfied in educational and environmental leisure activities than 8th or 9th graders. Moreover. as the family income is higher and as the father´s educational level is higher. satisfaction rate from leisure activities came out to be higher 3. In regard to satisfaction they get from their leisure activities, it was comparatively high when they had the activities voluntarily as their hobbies or for fun. Some students regarded it as their chances for the next step and they were really satisfied, too. And also the period of time was one of the factors that affected students´ satisfaction. They were satisfied enough when they had the activities less than four month in a year The students who had strong concentration and great enthusiasm showed high leisure satisfaction in all areas except for the environmental one.
