LMS 기반 Multirate 적응 필터를 이용한 LDV자체진동 보상 기법 (A In-housed Compensation Mechanism of Body Vibration In a Laser Doppler Vibrometer Based on Multirate LMS Filter)

  • This paper presents an auxiliary beam-assisted adaptive compensation technique applied to alleviate the problem of LDV's body vibration. The LMS algorithm is applied to adaptively compensate the body vibration utilizing the reference signal provided by the auxiliary beam. The usefulness of the proposed technique is verified via computer simulations performed for diverse types of target signals and body vibration.

  • Usually vibration properties are obtained from frequency response functions or impulse response functions of a system. Since the contact type sensors can affect the characteristics of vibrating systems, the non-contact type sensors such as laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV) are being widely used. Currently researches are being carried out in terms of modal analysis using a scanning vibrometer. For the continuous scan; the Chebyshev demodulation (or polynomial) is apparently suggested to extract the mode shapes. With single frequency sinusoidal excitation, this approach is well fitted. In this research, the Chebyshev demodulation technique has been applied to the impact excitation case. The vibration of the tested structure is modeled using impulse response functions. The technique is also adopted to the random excitation case. In order to verify the technique, a simply supported beam was chosen as the test rig. The calculation modules are developed by using MATLAB$\^$(R)/ in WindowsNT$\^$(R)/ environment.

  • A new ultrasonic pulse-echo technique was developed and described for vibration measurement of the suspension assembly in hard disk drives. The method is based upon the difference in magnitude of two consecutive reflection waves from a moving object(suspension), while the traditional ultrasonic vibrometer uses the phase shift of the reference wave and the reflection wave. A cone-shape delay line is designed to access the small structure. A simple mathematical model is presented and analyzed with experimental results to show the feasibility of the method. The advantages of this ultrasonic vibration measurement method are relatively high resolution, low cost, and ease of implementation comparing with the Laser Doppler vibrometer.

  • There are several methods to obtain structural vibration for analysis of vibro-acoustic noise. First of all, vibration data can be obtained through the structural analysis using finite element method. Although this method has no need to experiment, the analysis result is unreliable when the structure and the vibration source is complex to model exactly. The second method is to measure vibration using a number of sensors. The analyzed vibro-acoustic noise with directly measured data is setting morereliable when the number of data acquisition points is getting larger. However, it requires large amount of time and effort to measure all vibration data on every node especially when the size of vibrating structure is large. The Modal Expansion Method(MEM), which uses mode information and measurement data, has been introduced to compensate their limits. With a relatively small number of measurement data, the reliable structural vibration for vibro-acoustic noise can be obtained using this semi-analysis method. Although MEM gives reliable result, it is restricted by the number of modes and measurement points. In this paper, structural analysis, direct vibration measurement method and MEM are compared using the simple aluminum box model. Furthermore, the washing machine case is also provided as a comparative example. The Laser Doppler Vibrometer(LDV) was used instead of contact type accelerometer to get vibration data.

  • 인간의 청각기능을 보조하거나 대체할 수 있는 차세대 인공와우기술의 개발은 기존 인공와우의 단점인 잦은 충전, 장애 노출 등을 극복하고 향상된 음감을 전달할 수 있는 기술로서 세계적으로 많은 연구를 수행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 달팽이관의 기저막이 갖는 주파수 분리 기능 및 유모세포(haircell)의 이온채널 작용에 의한 생체 전기신호 발생 기능을 할 수 있는 PVDF(polyvinylidene fluoride) 압전 박막형 인공기저막을 설계, 제작 및 시험평가를 하고자 하였다. 생체 기저막과 유사한 주파수 분리 특성을 갖는 사다리꼴 형상의 인공기저막을 제작하고, MEMS 공정을 이용한 전극 증착 및 유체 유동이 가능한 챔버를 형성하였다. 또한 인공기저막의 거동을 측정하기 위하여 비접촉 LDV측정 장비, 스피커, 기준 마이크로폰 등을 사용하여 실험 장치를 구성하였다. 기계적 성능시험 결과, PVDF 압전박막형 인공기저막은 입사하는 음파의 주파수 분리를 잘 수행할 수 있음을 실험적으로 입증하였다.

Sparse reconstruction of guided wavefield from limited measurements using compressed sensing

  • A wavefield sparse reconstruction technique based on compressed sensing is developed in this work to dramatically reduce the number of measurements. Firstly, a severely underdetermined representation of guided wavefield at a snapshot is established in the spatial domain. Secondly, an optimal compressed sensing model of guided wavefield sparse reconstruction is established based on l1-norm penalty, where a suite of discrete cosine functions is selected as the dictionary to promote the sparsity. The regular, random and jittered undersampling schemes are compared and selected as the undersampling matrix of compressed sensing. Thirdly, a gradient projection method is employed to solve the compressed sensing model of wavefield sparse reconstruction from highly incomplete measurements. Finally, experiments with different excitation frequencies are conducted on an aluminum plate to verify the effectiveness of the proposed sparse reconstruction method, where a scanning laser Doppler vibrometer as the true benchmark is used to measure the original wavefield in a given inspection region. Experiments demonstrate that the missing wavefield data can be accurately reconstructed from less than 12% of the original measurements; The reconstruction accuracy of the jittered undersampling scheme is slightly higher than that of the random undersampling scheme in high probability, but the regular undersampling scheme fails to reconstruct the wavefield image; A quantified mapping relationship between the sparsity ratio and the recovery error over a special interval is established with respect to statistical modeling and analysis.

  • Possibility of the remote eavesdropping through window glass is investigated using a laser sensor. Various thicknesses and types of glass windows are excited by maximum length sequency (MLS) signal and the vibration sound is detected by a laser doppler vibrometer. Intelligibility of the detected sound is evaluated using the speech transmission index (STI), which is based on the modulation transfer function (MTF). In order to identify the disturbing effect, different level of disturbing wave is generated by an outside speaker and a window shaker attached on the glass window. On the different thickness of glass windows, decrease effect of the speech intelligibility is analysed.

  • The holographic measurement techniques can be applied to various industrial fields such as automobile, airplane, construction, electronics, medical, mechanics and physics. The visualization of fluids is very important in aerodynamics, heat transfer and stress analysis. There are classically optical methods such as shadowgraph, schlieren method, and Mach-Zehnder interferometry for visualizing the fluid flow phenomena. But, it is difficult to understand the continuous state of fluids well in those methods. In this study, the real-time holographic interferometer with high-speed camera is applied to the flow visualization. In addition, collimated laser beam and rotating wedge are used for recording and formation of carrier fringes, respectively.

  • This paper presents the hydraulic characteristics measured by using LDV(Laser Doppler Velocimetry) in subchannels of a HANARO, KAERI research reactor, fuel bundle. The fuel bundle consists of 18 axially finned rods with 3 spacer grids, which are arranged in cylindrical configuration. The effects of the spacer grids on the turbulent flow were investigated by the experimental results. Pressure drops fer each component of the fuel bundle were measured, and the friction factors of fuel bundle and loss coefficients for the spacer grids were estimated from the measured pressure drops. Implications regard ins the turbulent thermal mixing were discussed. Vibration test results measured by using laser vibrometer were presented.

유리창의 레이저 탐지음에 대한 음성명료도 분석 (Speech Intelligibility Analysis on the Laser Detected Sound of the Glass Windows)

  • 본 연구에서는 다양한 두께의 유리창을 대상으로 레이저 원격 도청 가능성을 검토한다. MLS 신호음을 사용하여 유리창을 진동시키고 레이저 도플러센서로 진동음을 탐지한다. 탐지된 진동음으로부터 음성정보의 인식 수준인 음성명료도를 객관적으로 평가한다. 평가에는 변조전송함수에 근거하여 결정되는 음성전송지수를 사용한다. 또한, 외부 스피커와 유리창 교란기로 각각 교란파를 발생시켜, 배경소음과 도청방지기의 음성명료도에 대한 교란효과를 평가한다. 다양한 두께의 유리창을 대상으로 레이저 원격 도청음의 음성인식 수준과 국산 도청 방지장치의 도청방지 성능을 평가하는 데에 본 연구의 목적이 있다.
