초대형 해석 결과의 분석을 위한 고해상도 타일 가시화 시스템 개발 (High-Resolution Tiled Display System for Visualization of Large-scale Analysis Data)

  • 본 논문에서는 저가의 클러스터 컴퓨터 시스템과 저해상도 영상장비들을 이용하여 초대형 해석 데이터를 정밀하게 분석할 수 있는 고해상도 타일 가시화 시스템을 개발하였다. 타일 가시화 하드웨어 구축 시 유의점을 고찰하고, 화면왜곡 현상을 제거할 수 있는 빔프로젝터 위치조절장치를 설계/제작하였다. 타일 가시화 소프트웨어 개발에서 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스와 렌더링을 위해서는 Qt와 OpenGL 라이브러리를 이용하였다. 또한 LAM-MPI 라이브러리를 통해 각각의 클러스터 컴퓨터 노드로부터 얻게 되는 조각적인 화면들을 전체의 한 화면으로 동기화시켜 왜곡 없는 전체 타일 영상을 만들도록 하였다.

  • With increasing demands for large-scale micro-optical components in the field of digital display, the establishment of large-scale fabrication technology fur polymeric patterns has become a priority. The starting point of any polymer replication process is the mold, and the mold often has flat surface. However, It is very hard to replicate large-scale micro patterns using the flat mold, because the cost of large-scale flat mold was very high, and some uniformity and releasing problems were often occurred in large scale flat molding process. In this study, a UV roll imprinting system to overcome the financial and fabrication issues of large-scale pattern replication process was designed and constructed. As a practical example of the system, a lenticular lens with radius of curvature of $223{\mu}m$ and pitch of $280{\mu}m$, which was used to provide wide viewing angle in projection TV, was designed and fabricated. The roll stamper was fabricated using direct machining process of aluminum roll base. Finally, the shape accuracy and uniformity of roll imprinted lenticular lens sheet were measured and analyzed.

패턴 롤 스템퍼를 이용한 연속 UV 나노 임프린팅 공정기술 개발 (Development of Continuous UV Nano Imprinting Process Using Pattern Roll Stamper)

  • It has been issued to fabricate nano-scale patterns with large-scale in the field of digital display. Also, large-scale fabrication technology of nano pattern is very important not only for the field of digital display but also for the most of applications of the nano-scale patterns in the view of the productivity. Among the fabrication technologies, UV nano imprinting process is suitable for replicating polymeric nano-scale patterns. However, in case of conventional UV nano imprinting process using flat mold, it is not easy to replicate large areal nano patterns. Because there are several problems such as releasing, uniformity of the replica, mold fabrication and so on. In this study, to overcome the limitation of the conventional UV nano imprinting process, we proposed a continuous UV nano imprinting process using a pattern roll stamper. A pattern roll stamper that has nano-scale patterns was fabricated by attaching thin metal stamper to a roll base. A continuous UV nano imprinting system was designed and constructed. As practical examples of the process, various nano patterns with pattern size of 500, 150 and 50nm were fabricated. Finally, geometrical properties of imprinted nano patterns were measured and analyzed.

나노분말이 분산된 기능성 코팅액 제조를 위한 대용량 교반기의 유동해석 (Computational Flow Analysis of a Large Scale Mixer for Nanopowder Dispersion in Coating Liquid)

  • In many technical fields including electronics and display manufacturing processes, properties of coating liquids could be greatly enhanced by adding nanopowders and it requires efficient mixing techniques to achieve uniform dispersion of nanoparticles in liquids. This paper presents the three-dimensional CFD simulations on the flowfields of a highly viscous liquid in the large scale industrial mixer of impeller type. The effects of several important design and operation parameters such as impeller geometry, rotational speed, and degree of liquid viscosity are investigated to appreciate the mixing performance by examining the computational results for flow pattern of rotationally stirred liquid of high viscosity in the mixer.

상품진열이 중간의 상품선택에 미치는 영향 -다단계 판매회사의 생필품 매장들 중심으로- (The Effects of Merchandise Display on Distributor's Merchandise Selection -Focused on Multi-Level Marketing Company-)

  • 다원적 회원조직으로 운영되는 다단계판매회사의 주고객은 다단제판매회사로부터 구입한 상품들 다른 회원에게 재판매하는 독립적인 사업주체인 중간상(IBO)인데 이들은 일반 중간상과는 달리 정쟁제품이 없는 자사 매장에서 자사 상품만을 배타적으로 구입해야하고 취급상품의 종류, 가격, 기능 등에 대해서 상세한 정보를 가지고 있다는 특징이 있다. 일종의 도매상 기능을 수행하는 이들을 대상으로 상품을 판매하는 다단계판매회사가 그들 상품의 진열방법 예컨대 진열량, 진열높이, 진열위치, 관련상품진열 등을 달리함에 따라 매출액에 변화를 줄 수 있는지에 대한 연구나 관심은 거의 없었다. 본 연구는 매장규모가 다른 대규모 증간규모 소규모 점포 각각에 대해 진일방법에 차이를 두었을 때 다단계판매회사의 매출액에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 실험을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 점포규모와 상품진열방식 두 변수의 상호작용에 의한 매출 변화를 살펴 본 결과 매출액에 변화가 없었다. 둘째, 이에 따라 주효과만를 분석한 결과 점포규모는 매출에 영향을 주고 셋째, 상품진일방식 중 진열량, 진열높이, 진열위치는 매출에 영향을 주지 않지만 관련상품진열은 매출에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 파악되었다. 넷째, 상품진열만을 독립변수로 하여 추가 분석을 실시한 결과 대규모 매장의 경우 진열량을 제외한 진열위치와 진열높이, 관련상품진열 모두가 매출에 유의한 영향를 주는 것으로 나타났다.

  • For system-on-glass (SoG) with low-temperature poly-silicon (LTPS) thin film transistor (TFT), a new system interface architecture and timing controller are developed. With the newly developed system interface architecture, line memory can be eliminated which would take large area of SoG display panel. The system interface and timing controller are targeted for the application for 6-bit gray scale, 60-frames/s qVGA format.

PIV기법을 이용한 전시용 냉장기의 내부 유동장 측정 (An Experimental Study on Flow Structure inside a Display Cooler Using PIV Techniques)

  • Flow structure inside a refrigerating compartment of a scale-down display cooler model was investigated experimentally by using PIV (particle image velocimetry) method, a reliable velocity field measurement technique, in the present study. In addition, we also carried out flow visualization regarding flow structure and particle movement inside a display cooler by using a tracer method. As a result, the mean velocity field measurement shows a large scale vortical flow structure inside a refrigerating compartment due to strong entrainment flow, going through a base plate open gaps.

물중탕을 이용한 대면적 SiNx EUV 펠리클 제작 (Manufacturing Large-scale SiNx EUV Pellicle with Water Bath)

  • EUV (Extreme Ultraviolet) pellicle which protects a mask from contamination became a critical issue for the application of EUV lithography to high-volume manufacturing. However, researches of EUV pellicle are still delayed due to no typical manufacturing methods for large-scale EUV pellicle. In this study, EUV pellicle membrane manufacturing method using not only KOH (potassium hydroxide) wet etching process but also a water bath was suggested for uniform etchant temperature distribution. KOH wet etching rates according to KOH solution concentration and solution temperature were confirmed and proper etch condition was selected. After KOH wet etching condition was set, $5cm{\times}5cm$ SiNx (silicon nitride) pellicle membrane with 80% EUV transmittance was successfully manufactured. Transmittance results showed the feasibility of wet etching method with water bath as a large-scale EUV pellicle manufacturing method.

An Efficient Visualization Technique of Large-Scale Nodes Structure with Linked Information

  • This study is to suggest a visualization technique to display the relations of associated data in an optimal way when trying to display the whole data on a limited space by dealing with a large amount of data with linked information. For example, if you track an IP address through several steps and display the data on a screen, or if you visualize the human gene information on a 3-dimensional space, then it becomes even easier to understand the data flow in such cases. In order to simulate the technique given in this study, the given algorithm was applied to a large number of nodes made in a random fashion to optimize the data and we visually observed the result. According to the result, the technique given in this study is more efficient than any previous method in terms of visualization and utilizing space and allows to more easily understand the whole structure of a node because it consists of sub-groups.

Wide-Viewing Display Configuration of Heilix-Deformed Ferroelectric Liquid Crystals

  • We propose on a novel vertical configuration (VC) for a helix-deformed ferroelectric liquid crystal (HDFLC) display that has fast response, high contrast, analog gray scale capability, and wide-viewing characteristics. In contrast to a conventional HDFLC in a planar geometry, smectic layers arrange themselves parallel to the substrates, and thus, extremely uniform alignment of molecules in large area is naturally achieved in our new configuration without additional processes such as the rubbing and/or electric field treatment. Moreover, with a proper design of electrode patterns on the same substrate, multidomain switching is easily realized without employing any complex process of alignment. Our new VC-HDFLC is expected to provide a viable technology to produce a next-generation large area LCD suitable for processing the dynamic image at a video-rate.
