  • In this paper, we are concerned with the analysis of the waiting time distribution in the M/M/m retrial queue. We give expressions for the Laplace-Stieltjes transform (LST) of the waiting time distribution and then provide a numerical algorithm for calculating the LST of the waiting time distribution. Numerical inversion of the LSTs is used to calculate the waiting time distribution. Numerical results are presented to illustrate our results.

  • A time fractional advection-dispersion equation is Obtained from the standard advection-dispersion equation by replacing the firstorder derivative in time by a fractional derivative in time of order ${\alpha}$(0 < ${\alpha}$ $\leq$ 1). Using variable transformation, Mellin and Laplace transforms, and properties of H-functions, we derive the complete solution of this time fractional advection-dispersion equation.

  • In this paper, our central focus is upon gamma and beta q-distributions from a probabilistic viewpoint. The gamma and the beta q-distributions are characterized by investing the nature of the joint q-probability density function through the q-independence property and the q-Laplace transform.

  • We describe the weight functions for which Hardy's inequality of nonincreasing functions is satisfied. Further we characterize the pairs of weight functions $(w,v)$ for which the Laplace transform $\mathcal{L}f(x)={\int}^{\infty}_0e^{-xy}f(y)dy$, with monotone function $f$, is bounded from the weighted Lebesgue space $L^p(w)$ to $L^q(v)$.

  • A Markovian approach is introduced to find the Laplace transform of the forward recurrence time in the renewal process at finite time t > 0. Until now, most works on the forward recurrence time have been done through renewal arguments.

  • The quasi-static and dynamic responses of a linear viscoelastic circular beam on Winkler foundation are studied numerically by using the mixed finite element method in transformed Laplace-Carson space. This element VCR12 has 12 independent variables. The solution is obtained in transformed space and Schapery, Dubner, Durbin and Maximum Degree of Precision (MDOP) transform techniques are employed for numerical inversion. The performance of the method is presented by several quasi-static and dynamic example problems.

  • The purpose of this research paper is to depict the thermomechanical interactions in transversely isotropic magneto thermoelastic solid with two temperatures and without energy dissipation in generalized LS theories of thermoelasticity. The Laplace and Fourier transform techniques have been used to find the solution of the problem. The displacement components, stress components, and conductive temperature distribution with the horizontal distance are computed in the transformed domain and further calculated in the physical domain numerically. The effect of two temperature and relaxation time are depicted graphically on the resulting quantities.

  • This paper is devoted to the study of Mellin, Laplace, Euler and Whittaker transforms involving Struve function, generalized Wright function and Fox's H-function. The main results are presented in the form of four theorems. On account of the general nature of the functions involved here in, the main results obtained here yield a large number of known and new results in terms of simpler functions as their special cases. For the sake of illustration some corollaries have been recorded here as special cases of our main findings.

  • A mathematical model of electro-thermoelasticity subjected to memory-dependent derivative (MDD) heat conduction law is applied to a one-dimensional problem of a thermoelectric spherical cavity exposed to a warm stun that is an element of time in the presence of a uniform magnetic field. Utilizing Laplace transform as an instrument, the issue has been fathomed logically within the changed space. Numerical inversion of the Laplace transform is carried for the considered distributions and represented graphically. Some comparisons are shown in the figures to estimate the effects of MDD parameters and thermoelectric properties on the behavior of all considered fields.
