Purpose: Study the method to attach to traditional pattern for the demands of eyeglasses' function which is becoming extended to cultural psychological and social aspects. Methods: To understand the symbolic characteristic of traditional pattern, especially through using palmette, embroidery, and practicing it on glasses' temple and cleaner. Results: Globalization stimulates crossing-consumption cultural trend rapidly. Thus, new glasses pattern involving Korean ethnic feature is a new source that could well adapt to this tendency. This report presents new aspect which corresponds to the demand of modern consumers. By modernizing Traditional pattern and method, we could discover the cultural value of glasses design. Conclusions: Glasses imply social position of users and became a measure that reveal a part of style that presents modern psychological language. Thus, the glasses design using traditional pattern makes a chance to change the beauty sense from western style to oriental one. And it achieves the desire of cultural consumption through glasses design.

Germaine Tailleferre is the only woman composer among the French group of six composers known as "Les Six." In her 70-year career, she has left behind numerous chamber music pieces for the piano. Although her chamber music works constitute a significant portion of her overall compositions, research focusing on her piano chamber music pieces is lacking. Therefore, this study introduces a comprehensive list of Tailleferre's chamber music pieces and categorizes each piece according to its performing level of difficulty. Additionally, through a detailed analysis of her <Sonata for Two Pianos>, composed in 1974, this study aims to understand her musical style and artistic world, particularly regarding form, harmony, and melody. <Sonata for Two Pianos>, rooted in the unpretentious and light musical language characteristic of the salon style popular in Parisian cafes and music halls at the time, can be seen as a multi-layered work reflecting various musical languages such as Impressionism, and Neo-classicism. This study may contribute to a better understanding of Tailleferre's musical world and aid in discovering and expanding new literature on 20th-century piano chamber music.

Purpose: This study was to explore adaptation experience to family among women who immigrated for marriage. Specific aims were to identify problems immigrant women face as family members and how they interact with other family members. Methods: Grounded theory methodology was utilized. Data were collected from iterative fieldwork with individual in-depth interviews from 6 immigrant women as key informants, and 2 of their husbands and 2 of their mothers-in-law as general informants. Results: Through constant comparative analysis, a core category emerged as "tearing down the wall in communicating". Causal conditions were feeling frustrated in one's expectations, differences in language and life style, differences in recognition, and perceptions of discrimination and prejudice. Strategies were learning the Korean language, learning Korean culture, managing stress, mediating differences between family members, and introspecting. Intervening factors were support systems, burdens of child-rearing, and the condition of one's health. Consequences were rooting oneself in one's family and accepting one's life as it is. Conclusion: Results of the study indicate that there is a need for nurses to understand differences in communication with family members among immigrant women and to provide information and emotional support to improve the adaptation of these women to their Korean families.

In developing question-answering (QA) systems, it is hard to analyze natural language questions syntactically and semantically and to find exact answers to given query questions. In order to avoid these difficulties, we propose a new style of question-answering system that automatically generate natural language queries and can allow to search queries fit for given keywords. The key idea behind generating natural queries is that after significant sentences within text documents are applied to the named entity recognition technique, we can generate a natural query (interrogative sentence) for each named entity (such as person, location, and time). The natural query is divided into two types: simple type and sentence structure type. With the large database of question-answer pairs, the system can easily obtain natural queries and their corresponding answers for given keywords. The most important issue is how to generate meaningful queries which can present unambiguous answers. To this end, we propose two principles to decide which declarative sentences can be the sources of natural queries and a pattern-based method for generating meaningful queries from the selected sentences.

This paper proposes how to support various media on online conversational activity using XML(extensible Markup Language). The method converts media information into XML based messages and handles alike conventional text based messages. The XML based messages are unified to an XML document, and then a HTML document is generated using the XML and an XSLT documents in a server. A user in each client can play or present media through the hyperlink that is associated media information on the HTML document. The suggested method supports use of various media (text, image, audio, video, documents, etc) and efficient maintenance of font size, color, and style on messages according to extension and modification of XML tags. For application, this paper implemented the system to support media that has client and server architecture on online conversational activity. A user in each client inputs text or media based message using JAVA applet and servlet on the system, and conversational messages on every users' interfaces are automatically updated whenever a user inputs new message. Media on conversational messages are played or presented according to a user's click on hyperlink. Applications for the media presentation are as follows : distance learning, online game, collaboration, etc.

Interior is composed of void spaces decided by many substances and the function of the spaces which creat its valuation. Accordingly interior space makes peculiar forms by synthesizing each interior elements and its abstractness. Therefore characteristic of the expressed word and symbolic system become interior wholeness. The focus of this paper is to analyze interior words and the symbolic systems scientifically. The content is composed of 5 major parts. The 1st and 2nd chapter deal with Introduction and the Characterization of Interior Design. Linguistic symbol and metaphor which decide Post-Modern interior style were studied in the 3rd chapter. In the 4th chapter. this paper analysed linguistic character of interior words which need to express character of tradition. decoration, and publicity, expccially through code and metaphor. Finally Thematic I-louse library interior space designed by Charles Jencks was linguistically researched as a study model.

As major industries become information -centered, business transactions and information -sharing processes are being computerized and automated, which ultimately re-defines electronic commercial transactions in a broader context. Business documents are the basic tools for corporate transactions. The use of business documents in electronic commercial transactions has increased markedly and this sphere is rapidly being extended to include information sharing between companies. XML(extensible Markup Language) was selected as the focus for this thesis. XML can help to make a complicated and data-rich document easy to share. The thesis proposes a business XML document editing system, comprised of a style document editor for business XM document structure, business documentation, and business document presentation, along with a business document transformation system which makes a transformation possible regardless of platform or using various corporate document standards.

Conventional indexing sytstems support only full-text indexing method for electronic documents and do not use logical structure of documents in retrieval. Most electronic documents are in different formats depending on various systems. Also, they only indicate physical style of the document without considering any logical structure. Thus, in the effort to standardize the exchange of documents. IS0 developed SGML(Stadard Generalized Markup Language) which contains information about logical structure of the documents. In this paper, to resolve the disadvantages of full-text indexing method and to use standard document format. indexing system for SGML document is designed and implemented. In this system, user can assign indexing domain on elements, thus the logical structure of document is reflected in retrieving information. Various retrieval methods can be implemented by using the structural information of the document. In addition, automatic indexing for SGML Hangul document is supported in this system

The programming learning by using a robot may be one of the most appropriate learning methods for enabling students to experience the creative learning of future society by avoiding the existing stereotyped style educational environment, and understand and improve algorithm which is the basic fundamental of mathematics and science. This study proposed four types of items of errors which may occur during robot programming by elementary school students, and made elementary school students in the fifth and sixth grades learn robot programming after developing the curriculum for the robot programming. Then, the study collected and classified errors that had occurred during the process of learning, and conducted a comparative analysis of computer-based programming language which had been previously studied. This study identified that robot programming in elementary school was shown superior to existing computer-based programming language as a creative learning method and tool through the field experience.

The digital technologies brought a structural transformation to cinema, have lead a change in the way of existence of an assembly of images called cinema, and have shared expression methods with new-media. To look into how in terms of cinema style of the film era and the digital era are different, this article will focus on the matter of 'indexicality.' From the point of view of perceptive realism the discourses on digital image deconstruct the dichotomy between illusionism and classical realism. Therefore the actuality of an image does not depend on only indexicality but has much to do with how the viewers fundamentally perceive the image. In this age of digital cinema it does not matter to distinct a composite-image from a reality-image. This article inquires the relation of indexicality, the world and digital images in digital cinema on the level of reception, and reconsider in terms of image production.
