  • Recently, the rapidly growing new generation of renewable energy projects has emerged as an artificial building that creates a mix of natural environments and disruption to the environment. It serves as a quality inhibitor for rural landscapes and implies the absence of favorable rural landscape. Therefore, the study looked at the color scheme of residents, visitors, and experts in the village, which changed the color of the landscape, and analyzed the color scheme of residents, visitors, and experts. In order to do so, the village was divided into three types and conducted a survey by the general public and experts. In the case of the survey, residents of the three districts (Yeoju, Dam yang, Jeju) were surveyed for 210 residents, and the survey conducted a survey and analysis of 30 people in the area. As a result, both the general public and experts recognized the color change in the energy business, which resulted in the identification of associations and colors of the village. In addition, the recognition and satisfaction of the current situation showed that the education programs for the public were more important than the professionals, as the public show ed low levels of public awareness. Based on this research, we expect to be able to utilize the plan as a guideline for the project of installing solar panels, which is expected to be implemented in the beginning of the project, and can be used as a guideline for the establishment of the solar panels.

Results form POE(Post-Occupancy-Evaluation) and RPOE(Re-Post-Occupancy-Evaluation) are analyzed for this study. Bundang Central Park in Bundang Newtown was selected for this study. This study compared the previous POE completed in 1996 with a RPOE conducted in 2001 to find out how the user, proximate environmental context, and the park administration changed in time and apply feedback for purposes of immediate problem solving. The results of this study showed that RPOE has to be initiated and utilized periodically as a device and the guideline for neighborhood park design, conservation, administration and operation.

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal network potential among agricultural villages focused on landscape and amenity resources. For this study, we conducted Social Network Analysis (SNA) utilizing existing landscape resource database. As a result of the study, major landscape types shared among villages were found for each city. For example, agricultural and residential landscapes were identified as major types for Danjin city. Add to major landscape resources, in Dangjin city, Habduk village were recognized as a core. Seokmun, Daehoji, Woogang, and Sunseong villages were widely found as the sub core group. For Seosan city, Jigok, Palbong, and Kobuk villages were widely recognized as core group. Most of villages which indicated the highest degree centrality were superior in terms of the number of total landscape resources as well as landscape type diversity. These results can be useful for initial planning process when considering major theme for landscape-based network organization. Also, this information will be helpful for planning stage through the specification of the potential role of each village in overall network.

  • In this study, we investigated and analyzed changes about the landscape consciousness of Yeongam-gun residents, in chronological order. As a result, the landscape consciousness of 10 years ago and the present has not changed significantly. Also, the residents' consciousness of the Yeongam-gun landscape image has not changed from 10 years ago, and we recognize that it is necessary to preserve and form the natural landscape. As for the problem of urban landscape, the needs of residents for the development of urban infrastructure facilities and the development of tourist spots are higher than 10 years ago, and the problem of each landscape element is found as the formation and management of a road environment. It was found that the degree of satisfaction with the Yeongam landscape is generally below average, compared to 10 years ago. Residents' willingness to participate in landscape projects has changed as the number of respondents who do not want to participate has increased compared to 10 years ago, and the project method must be promoted by residents / administration / experts as one. The awareness is judged as administrative agencies need to change from the role of regulation-oriented in the past to the role of resident support and cooperation.

The years before 1976 can be classified as 'a period of darkness' for the landscape in apartment complex due to absence of landscape legislation. From the year of 1977 when the landscape planting and mere necessities were carried out according to the local administration's building standard to the year of 1990 can be classified as 'a period of quickening'. The year of after 1991 when the enactment of the code#32 called "the green space in site" in the "Korea Building Code" and the "Korea Housing Standard & Regulation" was made, and various construction regulations and provisions were revised in order to improve the scantiness of the apartment complex and its environment should be called 'a period of development'.

  • In this study, the landscape characteristics of the sacred Dangsan forests at Singi-ri, Namwon-si were investigated as an agricultural heritage, and the management scheme for revitalization of the village was introduced. FAO established the term of 'GIAHS' (Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems) for conservation of each country's farmland, unique agricultural landscape, and cultural diversity. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of Korea evaluates that the Agricultural Heritage is a new means and potential for rural development. Dangsan forest, a traditional village forests of rural Korea is a representative 'agricultural heritage' with a history of more than several hundred years of Dangsan ritual. The Dangsan forests were closely linked with paddy fields. This forest was composed of two Dangsan forests, and one Bibo forest. Especially, the Dangsan forest 2 was established on the mounding with 395m in length and 15m in width. Although, most of Dangsan forests do not have accurate records about forest establishment, this forest has retained a stone monument that illustrated the history of the forest. These aspects of Singi-ri's Dangsan forest indicated clear difference and characteristics compared to other ones. This Dangsan forest has been left alone from the public attention. The Dangsan forest at Singi-ri need to be recognized for their valuable landscape characteristics. By linking the Dangsan forest with 'Jirisan trail', the trail path will lead people to the agricultural heritage at Singi-ri. Enhancing the management scheme will contribute to revitalize the village.

  • This study is to be used as a fundamental material of rural amenity resources researches, such as excavating, establishing and modifying national agricultural landscape resources, so as to efficiently manage them. It is carried out with targeting traditional Darangyi-Rice terrace which has design factors of agricultural landscape resources. We have set up the standard range with practicable similar standard(Marginal Farmland and Less Favored Areas and etc), those of Japan, and the results of analyzing the characteristics of Darangyi-Rice terrace already known. As a result of the field investigation, it has been revealed that a great deal of Darangyi-Rice terrace are being used for not corresponding purposes, or damaged and disappeared. For preserving and well-managing Darangyi-Rice terrace as a rural landscape resource which has rural design factors, it should be advanced detailed and accurate studies on present conditions and changes of Darangyi-Rice terrace, with researches on significances, values, utilities and economical efficiency of Darangyi-Rice terrace by regions. In addition, we utilized various spatial imagery data in the researching process. Consequently, it is concluded that if high resolution imagery data is used, it can establish rather minute and accurate large-scale DB, and monitor elaborate changes as well. It is therefore thought that its application can be higher as actualizing DB hereafter.

And it is important to provide an urban landscape solution, while solving the afflictions of architects between their dream in individual architecture and the significances of Urban landcape as a whole. This research is based on the survey of the experts and public officers in the field of Urban landcape planning and administration in Gwang-ju City and Chonnam Province in Korea. The search reveals the following fact. Comparing the fact that some of foreign countries have proper systems of planning, regulations, guidelines, and design awards for the improvement of Urban landcape long time ago, the systems of Urban landcape planning and related administration in Korea is still in a primitive stage, due to the lack of the consideration of local characteristics and resources, variety of solutions, and setting of goals and objectives. Consequently, public enlightening of the importance of Urban landcape and the development of relevant contents in Urban landcape planning and administration are mostly required, to build up the system that can allow people to live in beautiful and good scenery of a city.
