  • The study aims to secure an integrated UFID system-based ID system as it defines the three-dimensional land registration record through selection and standardization of objects. By comparing the integrated ID system secured by the study and the objected ID system proposed by Seoul City, the study came up with practicality of the integrated ID system for the three-dimensional land registration record information system. An integrated UFID-based intellectual spacial information which is consisted of 41 figures in total was developed by the study. The study confirmed the practicality of the integrated ID system by comparing it with the objected ID of the three dimensional land registration record information system established by Seoul City.

  • This paper presents a geological remote sensing information extraction system, the aim of which is to provide practical models and powerful tools to extract geological information from remote sensing images for geological exploration applications. After reviewing and analyzing the existing methods for geological information extraction, we developed more than ten models to enhance and extract geological information, such as alteration information, linear features and special lithological characters. The system is developed based on Erdas Imagine using its programming language. It has been successfully used in the 'reat Investigation of Land and Natural Resources of China' program.

  • This paper describes a DR construction for land navigation and the sigma point based receding horizon Kalman FIR (SPRHKF) filter for DR/GPS hybrid navigation system. A simple DR construction is adopted to improve the performance both of the pure land DR navigation and the DR/GSP hybrid navigation system. In order to overcome the flaws of the EKF, the SPKF is merged with the receding horizon strategy. This filter has several advantages over the EKF, the SPKF, and the RHKF filter. The advantages include the robustness to the system model uncertainty, the initial estimation error, temporary unknown bias, and etc. The computational burden is reduced. Especially, the proposed filter works well even in the case of exiting the unmodeled random walk of the inertial sensors, which can be occurred in the MEMS inertial sensors by temperature variation. Therefore, the SPRHKF filter can provide the navigation information with good quality in the DR/GPS hybrid navigation system for land navigation seamlessly.

  • In Ubiquitous Information society, real shape of spatial information and accurate position information are required. Spatial information standardization is needed to service for the people. International standard was defined to ensure compatibilities of various standards, technologies, and terminologies and to promote mutual trade certain criteria and standard forms were established through international agreement. International standard is made by International Organization for Standardization, and International Standard Organization Technical Committee 211 manages the geographic information field. ISO TC 211 is working on LADM (Land Administration Domain Model) which defines administration law and spatial surveying component related to land and efficiently manages data and land systems of the countries. This study introduced processing of standardization of a surveying package which is related with LADM and comparing it with Korea Cadastral information system.

  • The study was conducted investigation on land of D-dong in N city which is an urban area and D myeon of N city which is a suburban area, based on high resolution satellite image, to find out actual land usage. As for D-dong in N city, different rate between actual usage and official land information was 0.5~4.8% in terms of 5 major land types (paddy field, farm, ground, forest, and others). D myeon in N city posted 1.4~8.4%, which is higher than that of its counterpart. As for unit load, "land" which is large in terms of load presented a big difference between official information and actual usage. On the other hand, the levels of paddy, field, forest and others posted only small changes in load. In case of T-P, in particular, unit of each land type is lower than BOD and T-N, showing almost no changes in pollution loads.

  • This paper analyzes three theories for land degradation assessment and internationl/domestic methods for land degradation monitoring and assessment. Under the guidance of absolute degradation thought, this paper proposes the technological framework for monitoring and appraising cultivated land degradation based on the 3S technique. We can apply 3S technique and analyze the nature, the environmental, the social, and the economic elements which influence the land utilization and degradation synthetically, to set up the indicator system of the cultivated land degradation monitoring and assessment based on 3S technique; to propose the degradation information extraction methods based on 3S technique; to create the quantitative assessment model and method for land degradation; to analyze the ecological environment response of land use and degradation quantitatively; and to propose the measure, policy and suggestion for solving the land degradation problem from the point of view of land utilization.

  • According to the development of information and the possibility of utilizing the most effective were high hopes that a plan is in the area have. Planning process of data collection and analysis and forecasts necessary, because even before the introduction of information, logical reasoning and objectivity of the plan to increase the variety of efforts have been made at an early age. This research try to offer a foundation for the future direction of research. Firstly, land use information systems and related legal issues and sought to review the status. Second, the information system of land use and spatial planning and diagnosing the problem was related to the status of the system. This desirable to propose the development of informatization. Finally, the purpose and the information derived legal system's ability to exert maximum legal system of the maintenance and development of information systems is to propose.

  • Korean cadastral system is primarily based on the graphical maps, thus, map reproduction by excessive shrinkage or extension, map mishandling and imperfection of surveying techniques have created cadastral non-coincident areas, which caused public distrust as well as considerable difficulties in land administration and policy making. Therefore, in this study, the methodologies for the resolution of the non-coincident problem are presented by means of a comparative analysis between cases of the non-coincident areas. The non-coincidence caused by the mismatch of parcel boundaries can be settled by introducing a coordinate-based system namely ${\ulcorner}$Integrated Land Information System${\lrcorner}$, meanwhile, those by other reasons can be done by establishing and executing a plan that can deliver the unification of the cadasoal and the land registration systems. Governmental intention and budgetary measures for securing the project expenses are essential to make this feasible. If the comprehensive improvement project is completed, the cadastral registers that define the parcel boundary, area and ownership will recover public confidence, which in turn secures land owners' rights by promoting land markets and stabilizing land prices.

  • Land suitability assessment is the procedure that assesses development, agriculture or conservation suitability of land according to such criteria as soil, location and usability. But there are many problems to execute land assessment by law. Problems include inadequate basic data, lack of linkage with the spatial planning system, and inefficiency in operation. The purpose of this study is to improve methods of land suitability assessment as a sustainable land use management tool using case study. In this study, land suitability assessment will be executed through GIS. On the basis of the results of this case study, practical and institutional problems are described, and technical solutions are suggested.
