FTTH 가입자망 구축을 하기 위해 기존 시가지나 주택지역에 있는 통신 관로 시설을 분석한 바에 의하면 그 사용률이 약 71%에 이르고 있는 실정이며, 시설도 낙후되어 실제로 현장에서 사용하고자 하면 바로 사용할 수 없는 시설들이 상당히 존재하고 있다. 이를 위해서 본 연구에서는 FTTH을 구축하기 위한 통신기초시설의 수요를 사전에 예측하여 효율적이고 경제적인 투자방향을 모색해 보았다.

현재 국내외적으로 PON 방식의 FTTH망 구축이 본격적으로 시작되고 있는 상황으로 향후 PON망 광선로의 운용/유지보수 문제가 대두될 것으로 보인다. 본 고에서는 FTTH망 구축 방식의 하나인 스플리터를 사용한 E-PON망 광선로의 감시를 위한 고분해능 OTDR 기술과 그 응용에 대해 다루었다.

The purpose of this study was to survey science teachers, perception and attitudes on disposal of school laboratory waste water and materials. To fulfill this aim, a questionnaire was administered to 244 secondary school science teachers. The result of this study revealed that there was no large disparity in the degree of understanding of laboratory waste disposal and the laboratory waste water treatment, and in secondary science teachers' perception and practicing attitude on the environment. While science teachers had deep understanding of laboratory waste disposal and its influence on environmental pollution, they expressed less positive attitude toward the actual disposal of waste materials and waste water, and participation in teacher training. Therefore, it is necessary to provide standards of systematized disposal methods and proper disposal facilities in middle and high school laboratories, as well as to investigate teachers' needs before providing teacher training program.

가입자망 구간에서의 최종적인 목표라 할수있는 FTTH를 실현시키기 위해서 다양한 FTTH 가입자 전송장비가 개발되고 있으며, IP-TV 서비스를 비롯한 시간이동방송과 네트웍기반의 예약녹화기능 등 IP기반의 여러가지 영상서비스 개발이 상용화 단계에 있지만 이러한 서비스를 수용하기 위해 서는 가입자 댁내까지 광케이블이 인입되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 가입자 댁내까지 광케이블을 인입시키기 위해 건축된지 오래 경과되고 구내 통신설비환경이 열악한 기존공동주택(아파트)을 대상으로 광케이블을 댁내로 인입시키기 위한 방법과 시험 구축한 결과에 대하여 언급하였다.

In the research-oriented university there are various laboratories in the departments according to a major field of study. Under these circumstances the budget to purchase experimental facilities has only to be distributed among research teams and then is spent within the confines of it without rein. However, in case of college the budget for experimental facilities needs to be considered other allocation methods because of no laboratory being managed by professor. In this paper the methodology for the rational selection of experimental facilities for college is proposed. It is composed of the following ; (1) the rational allocation method of the budget for experimental facilities in consideration of the characteristics of individual departments, and (2) the evaluation and selection of the alternative experimental facilities submitting in each department. To decide rationally importance of estimation index for the determination of budget and equipment is applied the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) technique. First the proposed methods are presented and then discussed with simulation results.

본 연구에서는 KURT (KAERI 지하처분연구시설)를 포함한 지하연구시설에서 핵종 및 콜로이드 이동에 대한 연구현황을 조사하였다. 화강암과 같은 결정질 암반층에 건설된 해외 지하연구시설들을 간략하게 소개하고 비교하였다. 특히 Grimsel Test Site (GTS)와 $\ddot{A}$sp$\ddot{o}$ Hard Rock Laboratory에서의 핵종 및 콜로이드 이동연구에 대한 주요 국제공동연구의 연구항목 및 내용, 진행중인 연구 프로젝트, 연구계획 등에 대해 조사하였다.

독성가스는 고압가스안전관리법에 의해 관리된다. 독성가스는 "고압가스안전관리법에서 규정한, 31종의 가스와 $LC_{50}$이 5000 ppm 이하인 가스"이다. 전자산업의 발달에 따라 우리나라 독성가스 사용량은 폭발적으로 증가하였다. 이에 국내 대학교 실험실의 독성가스 관련 연구 수요도 함께 증가해 왔다. 그러나 국내 실험실 독성가스 안전관리와 관련한 연구는 전무한 상태이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 대학 실험실의 실태조사를 통해 독성가스 안전관리에 있어서의 약점들을 파악하였다. 이 같은 약점을 극복하기 위해 독성가스 안전관리 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 제시된 방안에 따라 독성가스 시설이 안전하게 관리되는지를 확인하고, 이를 통한 개선을 위해 표준 체크리스트를 개발하였다. 이 연구 결과는 국내 대학 실험실에서 독성가스 시설의 안전관리를 강화할 것이며, 이를 모든 실험실에 대한 안전 지침으로 제공한다.

A study on experimental method of the model test for the impulse turbine is carried out. the wave simulator is used to reproduce the real wave condition. It controls two parameter correspond to wave height and wave frequency. The optimum design which is reported by T. Setoguchi is manufactured and tested for the validation of our test facilities. The comparison of model test show that our facilities produce little bit higher efficiency at maximum efficiency point. To increase the efficiency of turbine, the new rotor with negative tip clearance is designed and being tested.

The purpose of this study was to improve the lighting environment of the VDT workspaces in computer laboratory. This study was carried out through the field measurements on the computer laboratory and a survey using the questionnaire about the VDT workspaces. The major findings of the study were as follows: (1) It was unbalanced among the illumination, luminance, and color distributions in the the VDT workspaces. (2) The difference of brightness between the CRT screen and its surroundings have presented on the whole unbalanced. (3) It was proved that the artificial light source of the ceiling lighting should use the parabolic louver luminaire limiting the radiant luminance.

In recent days, the accidents have happened at experimental laboratories in universities or institutes. In order to improve safety assurance of workers in laboratories, it is required to carry out systematic study concerned with evaluation of safety and health level. The safety and health inspection checklists were developed and conducted the case study. The case study was carried out laboratory safety inspection with 5 inspectors by the checklists to become aware of safety and health level. From the evaluation results of the inspection, we could be made quantification of laboratory through evaluation of safety and health level in laboratory. It was found that was recognized present states of the laboratory and established a plan for improvements in laboratory safety facilities from the case study. The safety inspection checklists can be used as basic data to establish evaluation criteria of safety and health level.
